I received one of the best experiences. I asked an older gentleman employee who was very busy on a ladder stocking groceries where the nuts were- he so kindly got down off the ladder and walked me to the isle and exact spot where they were. I was very impressed. Other employees were nice as well and acknowledged I was there and spoke to me. It looked like the employees enjoyed their job. A smile goes a long way to make customers feel welcome. I only wish I had gotten his name so I could let.the manager know how friendly and knowledgeable he was as well as going out of his way to help. Thank you.
Easy to navigate, wide variety of vegetables and fruit. They should think about packing some of the meat in smaller packages for two. But a really good place to shop overall.
I went to the Walmart Grocery Store yesterday afternoon in Overland Park, KS and I had a good time in that Store. With most of my other reviews, I didnt take any photos of this Grocery Store when I was there on Thursday afternoon. However, if youre interested in visiting this Walmart Grocery Store in the future, please do.
For a grocery store this one is fine but you better be ready to be an employee. They seem to thrive on self check out. Last I checked I dont work for Walmart. It would not be so bad if the lines were not always 6+ people deep. I think coming on off hours might be best. But otherwise this ones decent. They usually have everything I need.
Clean, polite employees, never crammed packed, usually has items needed in stock
Do our weekly shopping here. Employees are friendly and helpful when trying to locate something not on shelf..always willing to check in back. Love the store is not crowded.
Wearing masks correctly right now is important to me. I dont like going to this Walmart because I always see at least 3 employees not to mention shoppers wearing their masks under their nose, incorrectly. Thats a deal breaker for me!
Meat department wasnt very well stocked with meats. The store is set up real well, like it much better than the store at 91st and Metcalf. People here are friendlier at this store also...
Its a smaller walmart for groceries only. Nice to get just what we need. In and out withing minutes.
Use to have rich bettered selection. Although the store has been improving the way it looks, it otrif of several items that I would get there that I couldnt get at any other store without having to go to several stores in order to get all the items I was wanting. Due to that itself, dont see why to continue shopping there cause other stores are faster checkout with better cleanliness overall & less troublesome when dealing with the parking lot being crowded.
They dont give receipts unless you ask multiple times. Very weird.
A little to small for me but very clean, neat, well stocked store. Very nice staff.
Walmart hours the extra mile and actually provided face mask n sanitizer. They dont water their soap down in the restrooms. Tyler people are nice. Also the store is well kept. Great company all around.
Glad to find this grocery store and some hard to find staples Id been looking for.
Getting help in a wal-mart is like finding an honest politician. Went to get some fabric and it took 4 attempts at asking for help to actually get someone who was willing/able, unfortunately she didnt know how to measure and price the material so I was overcharged, but i paid it because at least she let me show her how to measure and cut it so I could get what I needed and move on.
Curbside pickup was fast and seamless. Great location. This will sound strange, but everytime I go to this Wal-Mart, there are HORRIBLE drivers heading here. Ive nearly been in an accident every time I visit this area, so be alert. Lots of kids and selfish adults out there driving.
They dont pick up the phone. They just hang up on you.
We had 20 people need to be checked out there were no checkers available and the self check out line had 10 people in it ........now tell me there’s a problem here .......and the problem is Walmart does not provide enough checkout employees for the capacity that the store does.... I will never shop at this Walmart again because of that... and I talked to several employees about the problem and they do not seem to care about customer service Walmart only cares about profit (their profit ). you the customer don’t matter...Well, Walmart doesn’t know what troubles are till they have no more customers and all their employees are out of work .......then are they going to care about customer service probably not....
Rx refill procedure:1) request refills2) wait over a week for them to contact my doctor to authorize more refills on one of them3) my refill disappears from their system for no apparent reason4) request refill5) wait at least one more week for them to contact my doctor for approval6) notification that refill is ready for pickup - my other rx is no longer available - they put it back because I took too long to come pick it up
Worst Walmart ever. Asked 5 employees for help and no one could help cause they were “busy” doing something else. Terrible customer service. Never coming back.
Had everything we needed. It needs a renovation or remake over. The carts are old and outdated though.
Hey its Walmart...great prices, limited selection, poor produce, no real meat department. Cant beat it for can and dry goods.
This is my alternate neighborhood Walmart location (due to distance). They have everything I need. The store is clean. They carry the Fresh Pet food I buy that is not available at some other stores. The grocery pickup is fast, convenient, and friendly.
I did grocery pick up for the first time at this location. Tyson was the greatest. He explained all substitutions and was extremely professional.
Always has what Im looking for and staff is helpful.
Good prices, lots of empty shelves. Staff helpful.
The staff is always friendly and helpful. Items are clearly marked and easy to find. During these tough times, I can always count on them to be there for me. Thank you!
My go-to grocery store. Prices are good, beer selection a little weak.
Friendly, helpful, courteous
Not many physical shoppers, but... shelves are empty and your fighting to share isle space with their personal shoppers with HUGE carts pulling product for curbside orders. NO cashiers working, long lines for ALL Self Check-Out. Low expectations at Wal-mart usually, but they keep lowering the bar.
Great place. Great prices. Great people. Brian in the back meat dept. got me some boxes for moving helped me out a lot big time.
Ive never liked this place. Been going there for a long time and the only reason I go there is convenience ONLY. Would switch to Target but they open late. Ugh!
Staff not at all helpful. After discussing moneygram, staff failed to tell me the moneygram was out of service until after I waited in line for nealy 40 minutes. Manager on shift completely did not care. If I could give less than 1 star I happily would.
They only ever have self check outs open, never helpful, and if you need to return or exchange something, go to a different one. They don’t have anyone at customer service, and god forbid when someone has to go there just to help YOU, it’s like you’ve ruined their whole day. Do yourself the favor and go up to the one off 117th and metcalf.
They need to work on cleanliness and organizing their store better
Its a decent neighborhood walmart but its kind of like the forgotten sibling to the one just north on Metcalf which is much nicer! It really needs at least a few checkout lanes open too (besides self-checkout). I actually spent longer waiting in line to ring up my groceries than I did getting them.
Not my favorite store in the area but its convenient. Its doesnt have a lot of the products I prefer but it has some. Service has always been ok for me too.
Zero stars if it was possible. The pharm tech in a green walmart shirt, short braided hair that usually works during the day into night hours before they close at 7 is irate with customers, outlandish behavior and completely unprofessional. I had 2 run ins with her and each time her attitude and conduct was worse. She was yelling, cussing and making a huge scene.Told me not to insert my card then raised her voice to read it, I said read it, can you read while she is going off on me in front of a store full of customers. I do not recommend getting your RXs here. Not worth the drama or her attitude. It escalated into something that could of been handled more professionally. Horrible horrible customer service throughout the store.
Customer service is horrible. The person that is there she doesnt know what she is doing. It is the second time this happens.
I stopped here to get a money order at 7:10, and walked out at 7:50. There was a lady waiting in line, but not an employee around the customer service desk.Turns out, every available WM employee was actively trying to assist the pick up customer in front of me, pay for the groceries she had loaded in her car but WM couldnt get her online order to ring up at a register.... so, instead of getting her CC info and letting her get her groceries home to her freezer she had to wait.... and wait.... and wait, as her once frozen goods sat in the car.A manager showed up after 30 min, and resolved the issue in about 5 minutes... He explained the issue with the online orders not transferring, apologized to the customer and gave her the groceries free of charge.
I went to 2 different walmarts today an Im not sure which one Im rating because google maps asked me to rate it but wont tell me which one Im rating. So my review for google maps is 1 star. My review for Walmart- the one on 91st had terrible customer service and I left without buying anything because 4 employees were doing nothing and ignoring customers. The one on 103rd was very disorganized and out of a lot of things. I wouldnt recommend either if it wasnt for their sweatshop labor prices.
Found everything I needed, but there were no twist ties for fresh fruits and veggies.
I like these neighborhood stores. Great for those times when you only want groceries. This store has their deli right as you walk in. The smell of fried and roasted chicken is so very tempting!
Awesome customer service here!
Wonderful experience here. Edith at grocery pickup was incredibly helpful and kind :) I’ll be coming back here.
We prefer this store over the other walmarts around us. The staff members are friendly and always helpful.
AWESOME PLACE.....
Very clean....friendly....very well stocked.....definitely one of my favorite locations to visit and shop....thank you for your hard work!! #ESSENTIALSROCK!!😇💖😇💖😇
Always good to go
I purchased the items I needed and went to Customer Service to request change for a $20 bill (which I received from the self service checkouts, the first time I was at the Neighborhood Market) and was informed that she cannot do that, make change. She acted like I asked her to kill a puppy! She had the look of someone that is quite lazy. In fact I see lot of Walmart employees that gives the appearance of laziness. When I worked at a Walmart Super Center(Some years ago) we were told to direct the customer to Customer Service to make change.Needless to say I am quite disappointed in the Walmart Corporation, bet ole Sam is rolling over in his grave. Customer Service was important to Sam, as well as low prices. That Walmart is gone forever.
Never enough cashiers. They don’t answer their phone when you call. Haven’t had one good experience there.
Aha! What a wonderful place to shop. When I entered the mart, I just got confused by the variety of food. The mart is very too huge, and amazing. Mostly, all things are available at reasonable prices. Loved shopping here.
Mediocre place to shop, went in and bought a bag of lemons last week, they all looked okay but were all spoiled on the inside. Waste of my time and money
This is a very good Walmart grocery in my experience. The prices are very competitive and the selection is good to. It is really an excellent balance of price and selection.
I was just in the store and I was followed and had my picture taken by an eldery Caucasian man, telling me I was wearing my mask correctly
Love this walmart, its never too busy and they always have what Im looking for. Except fresh chicken wings but their really hard to find right now
Went there with granddaughter to pick up order. So use to Super W this one was small. Saw only food no clothes. Service was good. Will go back when need groceries, less chance to impulse buy clothes and stuff.
Their stock is low, their hours are short, but Ill give them the benefit of the doubt that their doing the best they can at this point.
Nice store, had what I needed
Prices are always pretty competitive.
So impressed with the speed and quality of the grocery pickup, the stuff is super nice, and come like 20 seconds I park my car. I tried Olathe alden location around my house, and that one take forever! This one is closer to work, and I can really just do a quick pickup during lunch time, and then go my lunch!
Nice store found every thing I was looking for.
I call this my neighborhood market! It is close to my apartment and close to my parents house. Customer Service is absolutely WONDERFUL. Several employees in this location know me, my mom, and my dad. Since I drive for both of my parents, I frequently bring one of them and they are wonderful to them. I fill my prescriptions here and I get a great price! I cant say enough wonderful things about this location and I frequent various other locations so I can most assuredly attest to the great treatment received. If they dont carry something, I have visited with the grocery manager. Sometimes they can get it in and sometimes they cant but they try!
Always have what I need and of course to go along with WalMarts theme good prices. A Walmart thats pretty much dedicated to groceries and essential items. Only negative about store is the lack of employees in aisles if you need help looking for items. Of course Walmarts notorious for getting mild mannered employees that arent trying to help and get a little perturbed if you ask them anything, I say I get this 50/50 in whatever Walmart I go to, even in the pharmacy. Overall quality food and decent service.
Nice store, got some Soft Soap hand soap for 3¢ a bottle!!! 🤯🤯🤯 Amazing deal but the company was even better!
Still had the things I needed, well, besides a shopping basket to put my food and items in. Not sure why this is an issue at other Walmart Neighborhood Markets as well. But they need to figure it out. I would prefer not to push a cart every time. I was also surprised to find the shelves very messy and in need of facing. Employees were very nice and I was able to get in and out quickly.
This store is very average and the products are somewhat limited but I have encountered a number of employees during various shopping trips that were genuinely interested in providing the customer with a good experience.
The store is poorly managed. Lately you cant find carts in the store. You have to drag them from the outside. The entrance area is dirty, with trash on the floor. Through out the store there is merchandise that should be placed on shelves but it was abandoned between the ales. Some of the cashiers are not friendly at all. The area manager should replaced some of the people working at this particular store and especially should replace all the managers.
Still waiting at customer service, told hell be back in a minute . Its been 5 so far....... Corporate needs to get more staffing here. Not employees fault.
There were empty boxes and carts all over, Ive never seen a such a unorganized Walmart.
Just an average grocery store. Good management and fast checkouts. Good for quick stops, I wouldnt shop there long-term, though.
Friendly staff members and the store is often well stocked...
Terrible customer service, needed something from behind the customer service desk at 5:30 PM nobody there and when they went to get somebody to get it they come back and said it was closed there’s some things there that you need behind there. that’s not customer service it’s BS !!! Happens all the time. It’s a shame we have to go to a farther Walmart to get our stuff when there’s one just down the street from us that is no help
I don’t think the guy in customer service knows what he is doing. I went in there the first time to get a money order and he was unable to provide me service. The next time I visit this Walmart it was to return a money order that I no longer needed. I had the receipt to the money order and the receipt from when I purchased the money order and he was still unable to assist me. Please get that person out of there quickly please. He makes my visits to Walmart inconvenient and makes me travel to further Walmart’s to successful get the same service done that he somehow couldn’t do. Poor experience both times I went, waste of gas time, waiting in line, and efforts
Very friendly staff
Just like all the other walmarts it has no cashiers. You have to check out and bag your own stuff. The store is clean and well stocked.
Its near my home. The only thing I HATE, is I use a EBT card and I have to pay 30.00 to get someone to go and scan my card. Because Im in assistant living and were in lockdown. I cant go myself.
Mostly good prices--some groceries are roll back prices could be like sales. clearance products on separate shelves is discounted. Pharmacist very helpful & some prescriptions less cost. friendly clerks as very helpful.
As a neighborhood market, we found the selection here to be pretty lacking. And it was really hard to find products because everything just seemed crammed together. Walmart markets just need bigger spaces, and this one just wasnt great.
It nice and friendly people
Good parking. Nice enough staff. Produce looked good. They had most of the kinds of things youd go to Walmart to get.
We usually go there to buy grocery. The veggies there are fresher and affordable than regular walmart. The mlfull fat milk at their store is cheaper than regular milk in walmart stores. Look for markdowns on snacks and kitchenware. They always have some hidden markdowns..
I mostly shop, at the 103rd and Metcalf location, for the majority of my needs. Otherwise, 115th and Metcalf, which is also Overland Park, or the Olathe Supercenter, at 135th and Blackbob.Olathe does not have a Neighborhood store, which is smaller, than a Superstore.
Not one cashier, all self checkout. Long lines to checkout, nobody cares
The working are rude
If I could give no stars I would. Walmart neighborhood markets are terrible. Their produce is always moldy and rotten if they even have items, literally no bananas today and every single tub of strawberries were molding. Never have the fresh spices I need, no salad tubs, only 1 thing of pork chops and chicken available. Just terrible store. No plastic bags for produce except 1 thing at the beginning, everything else was empty. These are awful stores, I should have made the extra drive to Sprouts like I normally do, but this happened to be on my way home. Never again.
They need to stock overnight. Skids in every where, couldnt shop.
This is regarding a woman who helped me in the deli department at approximately 5:30 pm on Sunday, June 21, 2015 (Fathers Day afternoon). There are other issues that do not rate five stars but this womans help and attention very certainly do. It wasnt busy. She noticed I was looking at something in the case and asked if I needed help. I didnt hear her ask that the first time so she came closer to me to ask again. I did buy three small items. She was efficient and pleasant. I obviously dont know her name but the time and day should help her management determine who she is. I thank her again and strongly suggest that Walmart make note of her service for appropriate recognition.
Very conveniently located store that allowed us to get a couple of necessaries
Large convenience storeDark, dirty floors and not well merchandised. Associates on the sales floor were friendly. Not a pleasant experience.
Was looking for a specific kind of energy drink cans, two employees were really helpful and friendly. Even 3 minutes before closing time at night. Very clean store, very nice staff, good specials. Recommended.
Its nice to just have a quick place to do a grocery run.
There are all sorts of fun things such as cookies and pies
Handy place to get groceries. Biggest complaint is they only seem to ever have 1 cashier, the rest is self checkout, which I hate. I dont work at walmart. Im not checking myself out. So I gotta wait for the one cashier. Otherwise great selection and good prices.
Every single time I go in this store the entire staff is happy...helpful... just so kind. Really does have neighborhood feel. Love them!
Pretty dang good, but the music is way too loud for my liking!
