My belt shredded so I brought it here to get it replaced. I called for three days for them to say they had the belt on but the car wouldn’t start. Two weeks of them dodging phone calls and telling me they would call me back when they did not I towed it out of there and the belt had not even been put on. Better options elsewhere. Steer clear if possible

My check engine light came on and I could tell something was noticeably off with the car. I took it over to Ray Brothers and got it diagnosed. The main guy there whispered to his employee that it was just a misfire in cylinder 1 (he had no idea I heard this). He comes back to me saying it’s going to be $450 to replace 4 spark plugs and a coil because he didn’t know what cylinder was misfiring. I politely paid him the $65 diagnostic fee… and went to auto zone. I bought a $6 spark plug and fixed my car in 15 minutes. This man knowingly tried to rip me off… which is always people’s fear when they go to car mechanics. I would stray away from here and test your luck other places. If you feel you’re going to get ripped off… you are probably going to get ripped off here.

My husband and I recently bought a car that needed the A/C repaired. We took the car to Ray Brothers to have them diagnose it. They had the car for 2 days and ensured us that it needed a new A/C compressor and they were going to charge us $800 to fix it. We knew we could find a cheaper A/C and we did. Once it was ready we took it to Ray Brothers. When we called the next day(6/23/2021), they said it would be ready by 2. When the car was picked up, the A/C was blowing hot air and we noticed we were charged for transmission fluid (which was not asked for). The manager said that maybe one of the workers got the cars confused. If that’s the case, why were we charged?? Today (6/24/2021) my husband took the car back, at which they said it needed an “evap valve” and they were going to charge nearly another $800 for parts and labor!! All of these “valves” were supposedly checked in the diagnosis when we were told it only needed an A/C compressor. We will be taking our business elsewhere. We wanted to support a small business but do your research first and check your invoice!! They overcharge and they charge you for things you didn’t ask for. Good business will admit when they make a mistake and do what they can to make it better. Unfortunately, my one year old and I are stuck with a car that blows hot air for the moment being.

They are very good mechanics and Chris (the manager) is nice, helpful and honest person. I trust them with my car. I had a very bad oil leak after getting oil changed. They fixed it in a day! Would highly recommend this place. I’ve been to other mechanics in Oxford in past but this is my go to place now for my car.

The professionals at this service station were so kind and helpful. My daughter needed a new starter for her Honda Civic. All the other places we tried said it would be at least a week to look at it. These gentlemen started on it the next morning and found a less expensive part and she got it back in 24 hours. We will be using this shop again!!!! Thank you so much for taking care of my daughter.

Chapter 1: “the beginning of the 96 Tahoe fiasco”I simply Lost my keys.Chapter 2: “you get what you pay for”A guy that said he could fix it came out and jammed a screwdriver through my ignition and then tried to hotwire my truck to get it to his shop and while doing so burnt up the starter and ruined my whole steering column.Chapter 3: “Mission Impossible”I called every shop in town and no one wanted to even attempt to fix my truck after looking at all the damage.Chapter 4: “The Reckoning”I met Chris at Ray Bros. Told him I’ve had my Tahoe since high school and I can’t give up on her now after 13 years. We searched everywhere and found a steering column. His mechanic ETHAN jumped on the project head first and had to do some custom installing to get everything right. He installed my new steering column, a push bottom start, and got me running again. These guys are great and I appreciate their help! I’ll only be using them going forward. 5 stars is an understatement.Chapter 5: “The End”Thank you RAY BROTHERS!

Poor customer service and bad attitude from the big one. Got a false diagnostics twice and they just act like they don’t care. I’d save yourself the time and go somewhere else.

Good place for repairs, my daughter took her Jeep here and had some repairs done. They are responsibly priced and good guys.

My daughter’s car was leaking oil and making a ticking noise. I thought for certain that the motor was going to need replacing. I brought it in and Chris looked at it and determined that the oil leak was due to a cap not being tightened all the way. He steam cleanEd the engine and told me to bring it back if I had any more issues. He could’ve easily sold me a new motor as I thought that was the problem. I really appreciate his honesty. That’s something you don’t see a lot in automotive repair these days. Give these guys a try if you need auto repair.

I dropped my car off for multiple things: steering fluid, lights out, oil change, squeaking from belt, and horn. Chris and crew fixed everything and got my car feeling like new. They even got my CD player back to working, after 3 years of no use. This was my second repair with Ray Bros, and I came back because of their excellent service the first go-round. This trip went even better, and I will be back.Best thing about Ray Bros is they will not get you with hidden costs, are extremely affordable, and will be fully honest about your vehicle!

I received excellent customer service from the staff of Ray Auto Brothers. If you have any needs for your car and don’t know much about cars... bring it here!!I brought my car in March of 2018. My car had been having engine problems since January. After a diagnostic exam, Chris, manager of Ray auto brothers, explained the issues in detail and recommended I use fuel injector cleaner for my car. After using it, my car was running noticeably better even though it needed a new engine.Finally, in May, I brought my car to have its engine replaced. For a 2000 Honda CRV I paid an incredible price for the engine and received quality and timely work. A year has passed and my car is still running well. I took my car to a different shop (since I moved to a different city) for a diagnostic exam last week and the results were excellent. My car is running well and they commended a job well done on my engine. Ray brother is an incredible place. Especially if you’re a young college student as I was! Chris, the manager, will make you feel at home and like a member of his family.If you have any needs for your car, I definitely recommend taking it to Ray Auto Brothers.

Good mechanics but like everywhere else in Mississippi they work on their own time which means it might take a while for them to check your vehicle and come up with a list of parts needing to be fixed. If youre in a time crunch Id recommend looking elsewhere but if not these guys will get to it eventually.

Brought my car in on the drop of a dime this afternoon. It wasnt starting up, no lights, nothing. Couldnt figure out the issue. Chris and Kevin checked it out and asked me to leave it for the afternoon so they could take a closer look, and before my ride was even able to come pick me up they found the issue, fixed it, and charged me an incredibly affordable and insanely reasonable price. The two guys I spoke to were also very cool and helpful, giving me a few tips on getting around the city since Im new to the area and everything. I couldnt recommend a better place to take your vehicle if you need any kind of repair done. Incredibly honest, very quick, and everything from pulling up to the place to paying for the repair was a breeze. Easily one of the best mechanics Ive gone to anywhere.

I am out of state, and my daughters car wouldnt start while at UM at the end of orientation, and she needed to drive home. I called Ray Bros. and they had the car brought right over. I took my Camry to Oxford Walmart to get new tires/oil change. I sat there 4 hrs! What the heck! Come to find out new guy attempted changing tire and broke the sensor off using wrong size tire. Duh, tire school 101😳 They came to me saying they couldn’t replace the broken sensor. They didn’t carry it. I’d have to take it somewhere else. They changed my oil but couldn’t reset the maintenance light....not happy. I then went the next day buying the part at an auto store. Stopped at Batesville Walmart to buy tires and have sensor repaired. They told me they couldn’t replace the sensor bc they didn’t break it. I called Rays who fixed EVERYTHING in no time! Should’ve just went there in the first place! That was my 2nd official strike w Wally World bc last time my oil cap was not screwed on tight and my son noticed it at home! I could’ve blowed my engine up! They would’ve said they don’t carry engines. I’d have to take it somewhere else✋🏻

I had some exhaust damage I needed repaired. They saw me immediately, didnt try to sell me on anything I didnt want or need, and came up with an inventive solution to the problem. They were pleasant to talk to, fast with their work, and reasonable with their pricing. My highest recommendation goes to these guys.

The battery light came on our van while my wife and kids were visiting Oxford. AutoZone sold her a new alternator and it was pricey. We brought the van to the shop and it turned out it was only a pulley. They had everything fixed same-day service Way cheaper than an alternator. This is an honest auto shop and have my trust and Ill be back in if the time ever is needed

The worst shop I have ever dealt with, theyre crooks and will lie to you about what they changed in your car, I took my car there 5 different times and they couldnt fix my oil leak. Chris told me to my face he lied to me about what parts he changed because I was OCD about my car. I spent almost 700$ paying them to not fix it. I will never in my life go back there or recommend anyone to go there! I learned my lesson. Chris also told me his mechanic quit because of my car, which I think it ridiculous maybe if he knew what he was doing, he would have done the job right the first time. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE! NEVER AGAIN!! Then when I picked up my car Chris insulted me calling me a b^#*h because he was so upset about his mechanic quitting. Shadiest people Ive ever dealt with in my life. He also stated that when you turn 47 you just dont give a f$$k about lying. So that told me all they do is LIE to their customers. Again dont go there and save your money and time and go somewhere else.

They did an alternator test and replacement on my elderly friends car that I handled for her. They communicated well and did the work in a timely fashion for a decent price. No complaints.

Good: The people are professional.Bad: In my case, they couldnt fix the problem by themselves. But wanted to charge me for the new parts they put on the car. However, they took it to Toyota and Toyota fixed it. In retrospect, I wish I went to Toyota first.

Great experience, honest, fast, and affordable, I am staying with family, and am from out of state, so did not know who to go to, but have an older car, that probably could use a lot done, but was familiar with issue it was having, as it had happened before, they listened, did not try to force me to do more than what was needed, and got it back on the road, for a very reasonable cost.

Just got back. Their place does not look fancy. The guys over there were very helpful and professional.
