Wow. To say I’m impressed is an understatement. The Grateful Dead memorabilia drew me in. I was eager to go for a couple years but never found myself up here. Just ate here tonight and I’m beyond full and beyond satisfied. You ever been kissed on the inside of your stomach by an angel? I hadn’t either til I got the class of ‘98 riot. Y’all gotta hit this place.
My daughter introduced me to this place. I had a Great sandwich on a bagel. Daughter has a food allergy . Was not a problem. Ill definitely be eating here again.
Small shop with yummy bites. Always hits the spot! Perfect for lunchtime dates or a bite between classes.
I love this place! The number of bagel sandwich choices is overwhelming, so do your research beforehand and look at the menu. I got the All-American bagel and was very satisfied. The place itself is small and busy, so you order and then go sit on the patio and wait for them to call your name. I believe all of the bagels are steamed, which makes them softer. I will definitely be back to try something new!
Very good & tasty. Nice little place in Oxford. Best of all--everything tasted and looked very fresh. Lox was delicious.
Fantastic food, great service, and tons of options. I love that a local shop like this is thriving, but its no surprise that it is!
Always love this place. So much variety. You could try something different everytime you go there for many months
I wanted to like this place, I really did. It was 7 a.m., I was jonesing bad for a hot, toasty everything bagel with some garlic or onion cream cheese. The guy behind the counter was definitely nice, but the bagel was small, certainly not with everything, and the cream cheese, not the portion that you would get at even Dunkin Donuts. That wasnt the worst part, the worst part was they didnt toast The Bagel, they steamed it. So I ended up getting a damp bagel with cream cheese. It just wasnt good. I bought two, I threw one away and literally drove straight over to Dunkin Donuts and got a delicious toasted everything bagel with garlic cream cheese. I hear their sandwiches are good, but I just dont want a damp bagel.
This place is amazing, the food that they make is very good and taste very good. my family went here to visit a friend and we tried out this place. and we picked the right place. 10/10
Great bagels, horrible employees. So rude. Nothing like a business that acts like it’s doing you a favor.
After waiting for 25 minutes, I went in and asked when my order would be ready…. I was told in a very condescending tone that they would be ready when it was ready…… staff was hostile…. Window was slammed in my face when order was finally ready after 45 minutes…… so sad, I was really looking forward to a good bagel….. so much for Midwest hospitality…..
It was alright. Ive only tried one bagel so far. The Hangover Helper. The place is super small and hot when theres a bunch of customers you have to turn sideways. They make you wait outside when your order is ready and call you thru a window when its ready to pick up. We ordered waters with our bagels but they didnt give them to us so we had to ask for them again. Then they forgot about our waters after standing there for 5 minutes. Not too impressed with the organization. Ill update this review as I try more of the menu.
Placed order, paid and was instructed to wait outside along with many other people. Was 45 minutes before received order. Not sure but I felt there were others who placed their order after I placed my order and then were called to pick up order before we received our order.
The must-stop sandwich place in Oxford. Understand now, that I am not a fan of bagels as a general rule. I make an exception for this place which has--what, like 100?--ways to dress up that bagel into some form of deliciousness. They have been super careful during the pandemic, so wear a mask and be patient with the employees there.
Sadly the place has gone downhill. Dirty, bugs inside, rude service, night i had their food got horrible food poisoning.
And Oxford staple restaurant. The only time I go is during summer when the student body is mostly gone, otherwise it takes forever for a freshly steamed bagel. It is always good and I am never disappointed.
Was in town for a tour of Miami with my husband and HS senior. Wanted to explore uptown so ordered some sandwiches so we would have plenty of time to explore uptown. After waiting 40 minutes for our sandwiches, we inhaled them on a park bench so we wouldn’t be late for our 1:00 tour. Thank you Bagel Shop for ruining our experience.
Good bagels. Many different styles. One for everyones different tastes.
This place is awesome try a hot sub! Staff are great too. Dont forget to tip. When there is amazing food and wonderfull service and an accessible tip jar just do it. It feels 👌
If you go to Oxford and dont go here... You are missing out! One of the best bagels Ive had! Great atmosphere and great service.
This is a favorite place for my daughter and her friends.
Very tasty, I cant wait until I live on campus! Service was quick and friendly, even though there was a line. There are lots of options, and Im confident that very few of them are bad. Will defidently be back!
Delicious! I got the smoke&toke and a banana surprise Yummm!
Cant recommend this place enough. If youre in Oxford, go!
Huge menu with creative names for the bagel sandwiches! Busy even on a rainy day. Food was fresh and reasonably priced.
Will worth the drive, live this place always great food, wish I had one by my house
Good food, really great selection. When ordering on Saturday afternoons do yourself a favor and give yourself plenty of time as they are busy and understaffed. Online ordering is available, YMMV.
Have always loved this place. Miss it dearly.
Thengirl helping us gave suggestions and made me the lottery. It was amazing.
My daughter suggested the Bagel & Deli Shop for our lunch today. It was busy, but we all placed our orders fairly quickly. What a nice variety of menu items. I customized my order and they did a great job. Everyone was satisfied and happy.
An icon. A statement. An unlikely experience. Please check this establishment out if you are in Oxford!
Great food and a staple of the Miami University experience!
Delicious treat had the miami bagel it didnt disappoint! As a miami alum who enjoyed many of these during my days on campus. I enjoyed it just as much this morning as I did then. Great bagels and spreads! Highly recommended! Great value for the price.
This lady was rude af talking to Max because he didnt have a mask on outside. #justiceformax if your name is max don’t come hereBagel was tho
Easy online ordering and the best bagel sandwiches in Butler county.
Always delicious!!! Reuben sandwich is awesome!
Good food..yummy bagels and good coffee.,
Best lunch in Oxford, we go every time were back
Always great food.
Delicious bagels and friendly service! What more can you ask for?
Great steamed bagel sandwiches. Awesome variety and good service. Definitely going back when given a chance.
If you are in Oxford, this is a must have!! Great bagel sandwiches!!
Turns out they don’t own a toaster. Didn’t know that
Visiting Oxford, OH on a college visit to Miami University w/ my son. Ive lost track of how many people have told me we needed to visit Bagel and Deli and try the Crunch and Munch. We made it our first stop in town and didnt even look at the Menu, just ordered as directed and thoroughly enjoyed.
These bagels are AMAZING!
Super friendly and great food!
If I could give this place more stars I would! My first time here, and though I live 45 minutes away, Im already thinking about driving back. Highly recommend!!!
Great selection of bagels. Good for every time
Always a Must stop whenever we are in Oxford. They have something for everyone, and Im not joking. Service is lovingly and fun. Dont go thinking fast but think quality. Be Warned: Lively banter expected from staff if you get sassy
Bagel and Deli Shop has been one of my favorite places to eat since I was a kid. I live a few hours away so I only get it when I visit my grandparents that live nearby, but you better believe I get it every time I visit.
My first experience here was great! I will definitely be back.
This is the most creative bagel destination you will probably ever fine. Objectively speaking, the bagels themselves are the same as anywhere else, but their combinations that have been created by them as well as customers are what makes this amazing. For example, a Crunch and Munch bagel will have both turkey AND Doritos on it. There are so many awesome combinations depicted by unique wooden panels hanging behind this counter. My personal favorite (for you dessert lovers out there) is the Cookie Monster. It’s a blueberry bagel with cream cheese, cinnamon, and an entire chocolate chip cookie inside! Pure joy and every bite will bring a smile to your face. The prices are slightly expensive for the food you are getting, but not so much so that you can’t enjoy 3 or 4 bagels on a late night. And since this is in a college town, you can expect this place to be packed with a bunch of drunk college kids all wanting some delicious food. Don’t let that dissuade you from coming here also!
A true Oxford tradition. Ive had multiple bagels on the menu and theyre all so good! Personally recommend the cookie monster!
Tasty food and clean I would go back come on and try it
Their buddy didn’t have a mask in the store and while they were telling me to put a mask on. What’s the phone number for health and hypocrisy services? bad vibes will not return.
We ordered a food via online. The online service was great. They called me once the order got ready. But price is little bit expensive. The taste is really good and they have different kinds of bagels.
The original and still the best! Love and Honor to Bagel and Deli.
Bagel & Deli is a Miami/Oxford staple and a definite must-visit if youre around. They have a massive menu of over 90 uniquely named, delicious bagels with a variety of ingredients. The bagels are steamed, not toasted, which makes them amazingly chewy and causes the whole sandwich to meld together into an outstanding pile of bliss. The store is tiny and incredibly popular so it gets packed. Theres no line of any sort, instead relying on a bar-style system where you basically just have to make yourself heard to get your order in. The atmosphere is lively and I could see it getting pretty loud and hectic late night on the weekend. This does nothing but add to the appeal of a place like this.
They got my order wrong but it was still tasty
Wonderful bagel sandwiches. A bit expensive but honestly worth it. Its a must go to place for me everytime I visit my friend at Miami University. I do recommend if its your first time bringing someone with you who has been before. The no line and figuring out when to pay can be confusing if you have never experienced this type of service before.
Mmmmmmmm
Couldnt imagine it being any better ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love this place! Im a student of the college town and I have Begal and Deli at least once a week! They have a variety of bagels including vegetarian! The staff is always nice, good atmosphere!
Great steamed bagels. Quite a variety to choose from with everything from sweet to savory. Would recommend the banana surprise on any day.
The wait is way too long. its overrated but i enjoy the novelty.
Good food and friendly service. Steamed bagels are not easy to find in SW Ohio anymore, and these are great. An Oxford original Ive been enjoying for 30+ years.
Fantastic bagel sandwich and even better decor! Great service too.
Doesnt meet the hype! The sandwiches are just ok. The historical value makes it a little better them good. Worth the stop for the experience.
A creative place for sure, worth checking out at least once. The Messy Katey was my favorite. Staff is a hit or miss. I’ve come here for years and I’ve had service ranging from brisk to rude. Honestly, I’m over this place for its price and people. Haven’t been back in a year and don’t intend on it anytime soon.
Only one vegan option, but wow is it excellent. I cannot get enough of the Aunt Beanies. The pumpernickel bagel is a must, and the staff is always quick and helpful. Always crowded, but well worth the time.
A nationally recognized icon of Oxford. Know for their high variety of toasted bagels with various combinations of toppings, Bagel and Deli has cameos whenever Miami or Oxford are mentioned. That being said, the bagels they craft are, in my opinion, overrated. But not bad. Worth the bite, not the hype.
The food here is delicious, theres no question. A college-town establishment that clearly has traditions and is a part of the campus culture - cool. Knocked off one star because its hectic and theres no good way to tell if theres a line, when youre supposed to pay, etc; this isnt a big deal, but its awkward and makes you feel at fault for not automatically knowing. If youre a visitor like me, Id recommend going with someone who has been before.
Would love to try every single one of their bagels. Great variety and flavor. A must visit in Oxford.
1 of my 3 favorite places in Oxford. The food is delicious no argument there. I dont get to patron here often due to finding a place to park and a bagel is going to run you about $10+. Donkey Punch and Crunch and Munch are my faves.
All businesses in Oxford may come and go but The bagel and deli shop just keeps getting better
If steamed bagels are your thing you will love this place. Its cozy, cluttered, and fun. A must visit when in Oxford Ohio. The staff is lively. The coffee is hot. You will enjoy this experience. I ordered an combo bagel with garlic and chive cream cheese. Nom nom.
Excellent service and delicious food. The staff was friendly and helpful, and it was a very unique environment. Definitely a must-try if youre visiting Oxford!
Lots of amazing sandwiches available. Staff was SUPER friendly! Cant wait to go back.
Great service, fresh bagels made to order.
The staff is very rude. They skipped over me many times to take male customers orders even though I let them know I was ready to order. Not until my male partner walked up would they take my order. I have never been treated so poorly at a food establishment in my life. The sandwich I ordered was gross. The roast beef was VERY dry. I will never return to this place again and I recommend you do not either.
Brings back memeories. Be bold make your own Bagel. In the 80s we didnt have a menu of bagels, though I have had the crunch and munch and it is really good.
Ordered online, order was finished upon arrival and super toasty!!! So delicious and fantastic for the price! Highly recommend!
Options upon options upon options. Great for breakfast, great for lunch, great for dinner, great late-night. They have everything you can think of. Service is usually speedy despite being always busy. Would strongly recommend to visitors, students, or parents alike.
An oxford staple! you must visit here when in town. The selection is amazing and service is great!
Best place for food in Oxford. Everyone goes there late at night. It can get pretty packed. The food comes out fast, and it is always very hot, and very good. It is also a pretty cheap place to go.
Bagel is an Oxford staple and total must have when visiting. The most popular bagel is the crunch n munch which has turkey and Doritos.Open early and closes at 3 am. The bar rush is crazy. And a must have experience after a night out.
Great food and service. Awesome place, very cozy. We will definitely be going back
A must have every trip to Oxford. Personally, I prefer the Burt Reynolds.
The best, most unique sandwiches! There are so many sandwiches from which to choose. If you dont see it, theyll make it custom for you.
Best bagel Ive ever had! If youre in the Oxford area I would highly recommend eating here!
