Used to love coming here, but its gone downhill hard lately (probably around September 2021) Ive brought dozens of friends and teammates here and touted it as the best place for a homemade bagel, donut, and some of the best coffee around.The bagels and donuts have gone down significantly in quality, however the coffee is still the same at time of writing. The atmosphere of the place is great for getting some light work done as well.Please be kind and patient with the baristas as it seems like theyre struggling with all of the recent changes.The picture of the case is from before 9am on a Sunday morning - just before their busiest time.

Stopped in tue morning 11/2. Wish I could have shown some pictures of what I got but, Ill be honest, the chocolate croissant and cinnamon roll didnt last long enough to think to take any pics. Unreal, just absolutely unreal how good these were along with the coffee. Can not wait to return. Great service along with great product. A true gem in Oxford!

First time visit here. The bakery is located in an older building which is common for this area. The parking area is gravel and within a short distance to the building. A covered front porch is over the entrance door. Once inside we were greeted by the warmth of a fireplace on this cold morning. There were tables and chairs, comfortably distanced from the others. The bakery clerk suggested her favorites and since we could not decide, chose to take one of each. The coffee selection will keep you coming back to try each one.. There are various option for goods which also include gluten free and vegan.

A was in heaven when I ate the best Coconut Pineapple MOIST scone ever! The Mango Pineapple smoothie was out of this world also!

Great experience ordering 2 custom cakes for two different occasions. They are reasonably priced and both of the cakes were beautiful and delicious!

Want a cozy warm community bakery look no further these boxes are all checked. The coffee is great the pastry is amazing the breakfast sandwiches are so delicious and the dog treats are great to my dogs insist. This is a must stop bakery in this area of Connecticut.

Extremely disappointed. Visit store 2 1/2 weeks ago to talk about a cake for my daughter. I asked to speak with the owner. A waitstaff went to get her and came out shortly after and said “she’s too busy and on her way out the door”. She asked that I email her with my request and was told she will respond to my email. I never heard from her. I called and left a message 16 days later asking she call to discuss my order. She did not call but rather responded to my original email, apologizing she missed it. I went to the store less than 30 minutes after receiving her email to talk about what I was thinking and to get ideas. I was greeted by a waitstaff and asked to speak with the owner, shared my name and that she just emailed me. The waitstaff returned stating “she is really busy and she doesn’t talk/deal with costumers” REALLY !!!! You are the owner of a business and your response and costumer service gets a zero from me. Needless to say I am not getting a cake from Oxford Baking Company and will share my experience with others.

It’s always the highlight of my week to come this little gem. Everything is great here. The girls are all wonderful but Meg always goes up and beyond. It’s a must place to visit if you’re driving by or in town!

We stayed at an air bnb and found this local gem. Food was fresh and the choices were a lot more than expected. There were even some breakfast sandwiches. I wish every town had one of these. Additionally we visited during the pandemic and it is a small space but they had plenty of sanitizer available and an industrial air filter that had been installed. Certainly seemed like they were taking appropriate precautions. Food was incredible, friendly staff - great experience.

Pre-ordered coconut cream pie, bagels, artisan sourdough, and pretzels for a much needed GIIIIIIIRLS NIIIIIIGHT!!! And it is known EVERY girls night needs carbs. They have the best ever carbs Ive ever had! 100/10 would go into carb coma from their baked goods again.

Everything is delicious, great selection of options. I love that they are willing to experiment with flavor options and offerings to keep their selection diverse. Friendly staff, always greeted with a smile and a hello. This is a real gem in Oxford and is well worth a weekly (or more) trip!

Food was just ok ....and spending my hard earned paycheck I dont need someone HARRASING me about a mask when mandate was lifted may 13 Thursday so what up with that ??????? ...no one was in building and we spent 13 dollars each ....check your state mandate ...

Such a cozy atmosphere! We went there during the winter time and there was a fire going and people chatting away. Very much enjoyed it. Great bakery. Love there orange cranberry scones and the coffee. A little pricey but worth it. Definitely would go again... I recommend it...

As soon as I walked in, the ambiance of the natural wood interior, fireplace and the layout spoke clearly of all the craftsmanship and effort that went in to creating this place. The tea selection was excellent, the staff courteous and helpful. The owners warm and friendly. Oh, and the baked goods? Real, high quality, authentic and DELICIOUS. Actual scones. This is a place worth traveling to, or putting in as a stop when passing through the area. Soon to be on the list of places to visit in CT. Authentic New England, so glad I discovered it now!NOTE: (on negative reviews) If your go to for baked goods is Dunkin, youre going to find this a very different experience. If you want to venture out and try real baked goods made by a trained pastry chef in a carefully restored New England building, than this is the place. But if you really prefer manufactured food for the masses with pink and orange plastic counters, youre probably better off sticking with what you know. To each their own, and you can go where it pleases you most. If you appreciate quality and authenticity, theres nothing bad you can say about this place.

What a cute place with an Alice In Wonderland charm. My friend and I met here for tea and cupcakes. There is plenty of parking, the staff is friendly, and the food is very tasty!

This bakery is one of the sweetest bakeries out there. I wanted to send a nice gift to a dear friend and living in CA, I had no idea who to call. While Oxford does not deliver, Donna was so kind to have her husband deliver these delicious treats to a friend. My friend said the pastries were delicious and beautiful! Thank you for going the extra mile to make a difference one sweet cookie at a time!

Quaint, gorgeous little coffee shop. You can just tell the love and dedication that goes into this place when you step in! The fireplace is a wonderful touch that makes me quite happy in the cold months. The coffee and pastries are amazing, and they are always experimenting with new flavors (while keeping their old menu). The staff is kind and patient as well! Bathrooms are cute and clean all the time, and there is ample seating for many people. Would highly recommend if youre not into Starbucks or Dunkin.

Yes, you need to check out this place. I am here on a rainy Saturday afternoon on my own eating comforting tomato bisque soup. When I am done with that a slice of perfect banana bread and the biggest cup of coffee. All this in a quaint unique place in front of the fire. This is a little piece of heaven right here. A large range of yummy things to eat and drink. Mix matched China plates and no Styrofoam! You can sit in front of the fire or by the windows. There is a pleasant bell on the door and they play old fashioned music, so relaxing. Bring a book or enjoy one from the give one take one library outside. Such a great place!

Quality is good and fresh. Coffee is on the strong side. Pricing is on the high side but it is homemade. Staff is nice. Easy parking and access.

I felt very much appreciated and important to them that things were to my liking.It felt like waiting at home for a meal that you know will be good because it was made just for you with love.

Amazing! Stopped here with my little boys. The staff was friendly, prices great (cheaper than the big chain down the road), the atmosphere is phenomenal. The fire place the look the smells. I am so upset I have only been here once and I live right up the road. I hope this place thrives because it is a true gem of Oxford.

Great fresh baked goods and coffee

This is a relaxing place to sit and eat delicious food. I have tried almost everything, and enjoyed it, but my personal favorites is the cinnamon rolls, and the bacon and cheese croissant.We had a special order cake for our baby shower and it was agreed by all that the cake was moist, flavorful and satisfying.The sitting area on the first floor opens up to the second floor and feels bright with a farmhouse ambiance.

I remember looking for houses in town about a year and a half ago, I drove by this abandoned looking house by the river and thought to myself what character it had. I was in awe when I stepped inside. They have done an amazing job inside and out with this old building bringing it back to life. One word beautiful. The folks were super nice, great service and the baked goods were delicious. Definitely recommend the sour dough bread as a plus for a good bread bowl. Will be back for sure

We just put in a huge order and will hopefully be stocking their pastries in our cafe. Typical pretentious Boutique Bakery with overpriced items and dry distasteful food items, youd be better off going to Dunkin Donuts to get a better baked goods. Staff is also on the snotty side but thats typical of that age group in that setting. Total shame!
