Great time!! We went out on a day trip for White Sea Bass and, although only one of us in our 4 people party caught a fish, we all had a great time. I would have given a 5 star rating if we had all caught our fish. The crew was very friendly and helpful and the captain tried his best to keep us on the fish. Id highly recommend this boat.

Our group of 4 were on the Pacific Islander this week. We caught a couple of small fish but it was difficult when Captain Smiley, his family and friends were hogging the best spots on the rails It’s not right to advertise that you have 24 fishermen when you actually have 27 or 28 fishing when you include family and friends. The most miserable skipper of any boat that i have ever been on. He looked and acted like he wanted to be anywhere besides on the boat. I would not recommend the Pacific Islander to anybody,

So went on a two day trip last year which is like a 46-48 hour trip. And probably only fished for about 5 hours because of the captain poor planning, (I fished on half-day boats longer than I did on this 2 day trip) .Went all the way to Mexico and limited out on dorado in two hours. Then decide to fish for bluefin so we started to drive back to behind san clemente island from 11am till like 10pm so we pretty much went to sleep . The next day we started fishing at 6am till 10am before the captain decide to head back home with only 1 bluefin for the whole boat. But the icing on the cake was when we were heading back home we seen countless bluefin boiling on the surface with birds diving on them and he didnt stop by for one of them. Got back to the dock like 1.5 hour early so we did have enough time to fish them if he wanted to. This says everything about the captain and the boat. Despite it being a fishing boat they put money ahead of fishing is why I wont recommend people to fish on this boat. Also maybe it was just this trip but who pre-makes breakfast burritos? The eggs, bacon, potatos were already made in a plastic bin chopped up into tiny pieces. I had to sip down water after every bite because it was so dry.

Always a great time on this boat. The captain and crew are knowledgeable and always put us on the fish. Love Love Love Pacific Islander!!! Highly recommend for any trip, any size party

Stayed overnight on the P.I. for a Test Ship special op, dont know about the fishing part... but Laura From Agoura (the cook) made the best hamburger I have EVER had...and I HAVE eaten In&Out Burgers, so I know!
