I love going to Ulta, but this time the customer service wasnt great. I was looking for a hair straightener flat iron and the girl that asked me if I needed help was not friendly. I asked for the 1 babyliss nano they didnt have it, I just felt like she wasnt very helpful and enthusiastic or care that much for the customer.
Very nice, yet very pricey. The employees were helpful and friendly. For being busy, the store was kept clean.
Melody is out here killing it. I literally came in right when they were closing for shampoo & dry shampoo and she still took her time to help me and answers my questions. Friendly and helpful are understatements she not only gave me actual knowledgeable recommendations and insight but also took into consideration my budget and never tried to upsell me. Great work 10 starts, i hope her managers see this.
Horrendous customer service (if you can even call it that). Ive had better experiences at Walmart than I ever would at this location.Management and even corporate do not care. Shop at Sephora and let Ulta-mite disappoint become empty buildings.
I rarely shop at Ulta because Iβm not very big on makeup, but my friend told me last minute the day before her wedding that I needed a foundation for myself because her cousin was going to do the bridesmaids makeup. My boyfriend and I raced over to Ulta where one of the girls helped me choose a foundation that would fit my needs. Due to Covid and wearing masks she could not really see my face so she took a long hard look before choosing a shade for me. And let me tell you, it was perfect!!! It matched my neck and the rest of my face perfectly. My boyfriend and I were in shock. β€οΈ
Most employees are not very knowledgeable and most products are over priced. If you know what youre looking for go to Sallys or order it on Amazon.
Gf and I got our eyebrows done by Natalia. She did a great job, honestly wish I had more cash on me to have tipped her better. Im a baby when it comes to getting my eyebrows done and she was very gentle, but still did a great job.
The salon is great !!! Emily is so sweet and wonderful- she is very experienced and takes the time to really listen to what you want and like and then adds her expertise- my color came out perfect - and she added a gloss and a wonderful style to top it off. Her haircuts are just as fabulous!! Definitely give her a try you wonβt be disappointed !! π

Im not an ultra glamour femme & somewhat new to the Ulta experience. I like that its a one stop for all your beauty essentials. I especially love their selection of non-traditional hair colours & makeup brands! =D Punky 3-in-1 for the win. Most of the prices are mid-range to expensive. If you can afford it, splurge! If not, definitely sign up for their beauty club for sales updates & potential freebies with purchase. The manager said the flyers arrive in your email every Sunday. Also, try to remember to check out the sample size bottles of various products before heading to the register. Some of those minis are a true deal!
Melody, the cashier was super nice. The other staff including the security guard kept following me. The staff was about 4-5 women. I always spend alot of money there. I was so uncomfortable.. I did spend $43, and wanted to shop more but l had to leave.

Im here at 11:30 on a Thursday and this store is closed in the middle of the day to do inventory!! This is crazy!! So your inventory in the middle of the night!!!! Not during customer hours!!! I will not be coming to Ulta ever again!

I went to this location two days ago and everyone was super helpful β€οΈ they answered all my questions and one of the ladies that worked for bare minerals put me on this really hydrating primer and gave me a couple free goodies to try. Any time I come here itβs always really positive vibes and the staff is always so friendly. Thank you guys so much! Oh and special shout out to Andy that works with the No β’7 brand! She recommended me some great products that my skin is LOVING! β€οΈ

Wide variety, helpful staff, but the check out line is confusing as there are displays, so people browse there.
Store was very disorganized it took us about 15 to 20 minutes for someone to walk up to us and greet us and the store was pretty empty
Went with my girl she wanted to return, they told here the deals they were really nice she came out with better deal and kept her item π she also ordered something else for delivery said certain day didnt show up they werent any help on the phone just said call customer service did that basically told her to just wait π€¬ ups said they didnt get it yet

Rude and unfriendly employees. Customer service is lacking.I went there today to buy stuff. I gave the checker my 3.50 coupon along with my items. I went home and found my coupon at the bottom of my bag. I looked at my receipt to see if it was deducted from my total. No!! WTF? The checker bagged it with my items and never gave me the discount. Why? Why? Any body have a clue? Not me. I wont go back unless I really desperately need something.

Not enough ventilation
Everything you ever needed beauty wise. If there is a fault it would be the long lines. Even though the line moves quickly, its still usually 10-15 people deep. I did get my favorite shampoo and conditioner. Then purchased perfume. The perfume was rather expensive but hey its Chanel. The ladies in this store are very helpful and friendly. Of course thats probably why the lines are long. Love this site.

Too expensive, check out line is always too long, no employees on the sales floor to assist customers. You can find those same products and beauty consultants somewhere else (anywhere else) for a cheaper price
I have a few concerns about my recent experience at Ulta salon services. I went in for a simple fringe cut that would frame my face. I communicated exactly what I wanted done and showed two pictures to my hairstylist. I have gotten my bangs cut at Ulta twice before and was very happy with the results. However, at the Camarillo branch my hairstylist completely did the opposite of what I asked for. It is important to note that she dropped the scissor and comb she was using on me onto my face 3 times. Luckily I didnt get scratches or harmed. But this is a major safety concern for any customer and made me very anxious as she worked on me. She took 30 minutes on my bangs. When I looked up I was appalled by what I saw. The bangs were extremely short and straight across with no texture. I expressed to her that I didnt like the cut at all and I didnt know what I was going to do. She asked for one of her co-workers to see if she could do anything else. Her co-worker worked on my bangs for another 10 minutes. But my hair was beyond repair. The manager noticed my reaction and apologized. I ended up walking out of the salon with my hands over my forehead and even two weeks after the cut I still dont know how to manage my hair.

I cant get over how rude the employees are at this location. Zero customer service skills. Not only that this location never has anything in stock. I would rather drive to the Thousand Oaks location, the employees are always so nice and they do have things in stock and they carry prestige brands like Morphe, MAC etc.

Customer service is obviously a big part of retail and the people working there should work on being nicer. Not ok when you say please and thank you nut are met with attitude. Told her to just start shopping online.
The employees all have their eyes fixed on you but dont offer to help. Secondly, why dont you guys offer samples? Theres a reason why customers dont like shopping at regular stores such as target, walmart, cvs stores. I go to any other ulta and sephora stores and are gladly to offer a tiny sample.

Absolutely rudest staff ever! Would not honor free gift because βshe couldnβt find itβ. Overcharged my card and to top it off I ended up waiting in line for a ridiculously long time. Would not recommend.

So much wonderful-ness under one roof its hard not to go wild! Getting help from employees can sometimes take a few minutes, but once you snag one, they give you their undivided attention and are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. With all they offer, its very hard to stay away and even harder to adhere to my self imposed spending limits!
This is one of my favorite Ulta stores because of the excellent customer service. The girls at the salon are fantastic as well as the makeup artists on the floor. Other Ulta stores should send their people to train here

I walked around for half an hour looking for help and all I got was employees looking at me and walking away. This is why sephora is better than ulta. If I did not need the products now I would have gone elsewhere. They told me also I need to be part of their rewards program to return products. Its kinda dumb as long as you have a receipt why would it be a problem?
Why did I even come in here?! Ok, we we offered help and thanks... its my first time here so when i saw they had a salon in the store i got excited. The stylist with the wavy bob hairstyle and the stylist with short, salt and pepper hair had no interest in helping me. I was pawned off to another stylist. There were no other clients in their chairs. Both my kids saw how rude and unwelcoming they were told me, go somewhere else. I ended calling and canceling my appointment and that clerk was just as rude as the the rest.
Called to ask if an item is available...arrive there in a couple of hours and was told item wasnt available. I drove there for that specific item....so can you say incompetent much? not to mention how rude employees are... they all look like they hate their life. I hate going to this branch but this is the closest to our house, ugh! Ulta, pls replace your entire employee or pls train them to be nice and inviting.
I was literally in the store three minutes and six of there employees bumbared me right out of the store...I swear give a customer a chance to look around. Its my day off and I just wanted to go into Ulta not necessarily looking for anything just looking around and every aisle I went down somebody ask can I help you let me know if you need help like immediately after the last person that just asked(obviously, If i was going to ask for help... if I needed it. Thanks but no thanks Ulta!) Theres a reason I like sephora much better!!
I wish I could give no stars :( The store mangers is amazing let me say that!! Sheβs extremely nice and helpful but I would avoid the salon as much as possible here. I went in w/ platinum blonde hair and asked for a balayage (blonde!!) and a little bit of root blending.... I ended up with all over brown hair *cries* Iβve never had brown hair before so that was extremely devastating. The stylist tried to play it off like nothing was wrong and even said βit has the balayage styleβ when my hair was def one color tone of brown. She then told me it would lighten over time..... BUT TO A LIGHTER BROWN. My hair had absolutely no blonde in it at all. I literally went home crying. She told me to come back the next day and she would try to fix it for it for free. I go in so hopeful to get my blonde back (and hey why not give another chance?) and she then told me her only solution was to wash it as she thought my hair would fall out and blamed it on the toner for turning my hair brown (no just no - not to mention she used two different toners). I basically now have brown hair after being blonde my entire life.... and she said I canβt get my blonde back for six months because itβs now damaged. Ulta ruined my hair and then charged me $220 for βhighlights.β As I was leaving the salon manger even said βitβs not that awful of a color.β Like she knew it was bad and obvi not what I ask for at all. My stylist was super nice and I had hope but itβs not worth it :( Aveda is only a block away I recommend going there instead. The store manger ended up refunding me and was the sweetest person ever.
They have a lot of product and on the shelves but they lack in customer service. I personally went in ready to spend some money but walked out after 10 minutes because no one offered to help me. Taking my b it sobers to MAC!

But when Ive been looking around literally every other minute do you need help looking for something? They ask like Im going to steal something and I hate that they walk right by you pretending to look at things. And once at the cash register the cashier never spoke one word to me just gave me the number of my total and left the bag on the counter not in my hand but on the counter... never returning worst customer service ever..

I had a 1pm appointment at the Ulta in the Collection mall inOxnard and came in ten minutes early. I checked in and took a seat. At 1:20 they still were working on the person before me. Ever heard the expression time is money? Ulta just used half an hour of my time (not to mention commuting time) and didnt even provide empathy. I said i needed to cancel my appointment because it was taking too long and all the lady said was βok- weβre running a little behind today. Thanks for your patience.β She seemed relieved i was leaving. They cut my hair two weeks ago and i liked it. Im disappointed that they dont value their customers. Iβm sure another establishment will be more excited about receiving my business.
Ok so my wifey asked for a sample of foundation and instead of putting it on her face to compare it the employees put it on her chin . obviously anyone who knows about makeup will not put it in your chin instead you should sample it directly on the face and not the chin . overall though I like Ulta...
I am so disappointed with my hair I canβt stand it. I had an appointment for 6:30 last night to have all over darker color with a few highlights on top and around my face and a trim. The girl says she misunderstood what I was saying after I showed her a picture. She lightened all over with only a few low lights. Fried my hair and screwed up my cut after all I wanted was a friggen trim. She went crazy with the texturizing sheers. Never styled it because they were closed and she had to do her side work. Then had the nerve to charge me $230.00 for something I didnβt want. This is the second time IV had my hair done at ulta. Last time it was in Palmdale California and now here in Oxnard California. NEVER AGAIN EVER!!!! I was hoping that with going to another location I would have had a better result but boy was I wrong.
The employees are all so nice! Very helpful and easy to be around. Recently, I went to the store and and wanted to return magnetic eyelashes. The employee (I forget her name) was so kind and easy to talk to, she made my return simple. She also went over to the eyelash section with me and recommended the (non magnetic) Ardell Demi Wispies and the Tarte lash glue, it was great! I love them. My experience is always amazing at Ulta. The employees never bug you when you just want to shop, but are always accessible if you need guidance. Amazing costumer service! :)

Youre a fool if you waste your time and money in this place. I was treated rudely on the phone by a store manager. I called the customer service line, and was told that someone would contact me within 24-48 hours. That was 1 week ago this past friday. Then, I called corporate this morning. Thus far, I have gotten zip. Zilch. Not one return phone call. I will never go back here. Id much rather drive out of my way & pay double price at Macys. The sucking up they do is worth paying extra money. They treat people alot better than ulta does. I wonder why this place with all the pompous employees is still in business. Customer service is non existent all over this company. I hope these people are treated in the same unprofessional manner that they treated me in.

Ok- Crystal Rivera is super helpful and nice and the girl who works in the Clinique area.. She wears a white coat.. She is very nice too and smart and knows her cosmetics! The rest of you guys are rude. If I acted that way in my line of work Id be broke- get over yourself stop being a snob and be grateful you have work. Why are you sizing your customers up? I seriously hate going into Ulta but I cant use cheap stuff and Sephora doesnt carry everything :(
Me and my friend went hoilday shopping at the location in Oxnard and this one girl was so rude and came up to my friend and I and told us if we have any question to ask her if we needed any help. My friend ask her excuse me miss, how would I use this product? And she told her in the rudest way cant you see Im trying to lesson (on her head set) I cant hear them when your talking to me my friend put the product back and told me lets go girl she is being so freaken RUDE and then she speaks up and says how am I being rudeπ‘ I couldnt hear them and my friend says because I work with skin care too and I would never talk to a customer like you did just now and she says you are being rude get out of my store and my friend ask her whats your nameπ‘ ? (I forgot her name) and my friend says you should really stop talking to me I wanna speak to the manager and she says why dont you come over here and and make me! There was so much more said I cant remember exactly what happen but then we talked to the manager and left but it was a really bad experience for my friend and I, we went to ulta to buy Christmas gift for are familys and that employee really did make it a horrible experience, they lost 2 customers, the ulta in Oxnard needs to have better customer service, they cant speak to customers that way
The inventory in the store is CONSTANTLY empty. The store has no product like 90% of the time. I come in to buy a shade of lipstick, and its never there. Today I went to buy Revlon lipstick and there was a display with maybe 20 different types but there were only 5 of the most unpopular shades actually in stock. And of those 5, there was only one tube left for each.I went to buy Rimmel eyeliner next. Their shelf was all over the place. The colors were all mixed up. I had to search for 10 minutes only to find out that yep, they were out of stock in the shade I needed.I did this for so many other things: Eyeshadow, lipstain, lip gloss, primer, concealer. Every single item I wanted wasnt there. Every. Single. One. They never restock ANYTHING. The whole store is a mess. Random products scattered everywhere to the point where you need to hunt to find what you need. And 90% of the time its sold out.Whoever is in charge of ordering their inventory needs to be fired. This is the worst Ive seen from a reputable store like this.On the plus side, the sales associates (when you can find them- theyre constantly understaffed) are the nicest, most helpful people Ive met. I added an extra star just for the great customer service.Bottom line: Youre better off going to Sephora or any other store, even Target. Any store will have more makeup in stock than Ulta does.

The OTC makeup aisles are disorganized and under-stocked. The makeup has been clearly opened as well. This location has disappointed me several times.
They need to be straight forward with their customers, i went to exchange something two days ago and i didnt know if i was suppose to get in line with the shoppers so i just stood there and this blonde cashier saw me but ignored me and kept doing her thing! so then i just decided to get in line! i just find it rude how they can just ignore you instead of asking you to get in line or something! So then they finally send me to exchange my item and they ask this other employee to help me and i ask her if i have to wait in line again and she says no to just go up front! so i go and AGAIN the same cashier saw me and ignored me i was waiting for like 5 mins until a different cashier asked me what i needed, then the blondie all of a sudden decides to speak up and tell me to wait in line again! really ? i just hate how i was being ignored!

Worst customer service. They dont keep popular foundation colors in stock and its like pulling teeth to get them to actually look for it in the back. The store itself is a mess, and the makeup testers are unkempt and dirty .
