Great selection of organic foods. Love it. One of the few places where you can buy Amys cheese pizza with a veggie crust, which is a great way to sneak in veggies to kids because they love that pizza.

The only reason Im giving five stars is because the checker who was running the self-check area was willing to check me out there were only two other check stands open and there was a long line and she was willing to help me out I had minimal amount of groceries less than eight and a bottle of wine and I gave her back the wine and then she just said Ill help you out she was phenomenal she kept the sale that will keep me coming back to Safeway

I waited in line forever just to be told that the customer ahead of me would be the last one at that register. I only had one item in my hand and all other lives were long. I ended up walking out and purchased my item nextdoor at Riteaid.

The staff turnover at this Safeway is high and the customer service is consistently rock bottom. This may sound odd, but this a relatively expensive Safeway at which to shop. You’ll often see tweekers perusing through the parked cars looking for unattended items. These wines retail for $8.76 per bottle; however, here are pictures of how Safeway gouges customers. Just sickening!!!
Just moved to Pacifica and I am really excited to have found this amazing market. Lots of gluten free options, organic produce, and even some dry aged meats. Yay.

This rating is strictly based on products and services. I was treated very well by staff when one of my products was broken and replaced it without question. However the bathroom gets -5stars. Smelt like homeless people had been living there and peed on all the walls leading up to the bathroom. Someone needs to hard core sanitize that hallway and bathroom.

Half moon bay Safeway has what I looking for. Think bars, no cow, the turkey wraps I like and the chocolate protein drinky things. Pacifica doesnt seem to carry the protein bars but I like the layout and the staff. MY OPINION!
One of my favorite Safeway’s. I used to live in Redwood City and go to the big one there all the time. But since COVID started it’s gone downhill and it’s like walking a cluttered maze. This Pacifica one is great, most of the employees are friendly. It’s well lit and they have all the stuff you need. Only negative...if you want something from the deli but someone is in front of you Forget about it. I just waited 20 mins to watch the older deli lady get a pound of turkey and cheese. I walked away and came back only to waste another 10 minutes while she got 2 things. I just gave up and left. I don’t understand how you could have someone so slow in that part of the store. Other than that this place is great.

Lots of good sales and selections. Of the two grocery stores in the area this is one of them.
Horrible, horrible! No checkers, no checkers! Hear it is 10:38, and no checkers. Lots of old people trying to shop. They shouldnt have to wait in line for 30 minutes. There was only 1 checker working. Some people like dont want to use the self flecking. Too many germs! I will probably avoid shopping here again. I have lived in Pacifica all my life, so I am not just passing through. You change enough. You need to do a LOT BETTER!!!!
Most people dont realize that any grocery store makes mistakes 8 out of 10 times you shop. If you dont check your receipt before you leave your out of luck. This time they over charged me $19.50 for a ribeye roast they had on sale for the holidays. Took my receipt back to customer service, she acted like I had done something wrong. Attitude for days. Other than that I really like Safeway 👍 I got my money back and asked for my $5.00 gift card for their error.Happy holidays
Great safeway, I live in Half Moon Bay and stop on my way home. Somehow the produce seems to be a little fresher. I wish they had the chicken pot pies the HMB Safeway makes, but you cant have everything

Suggestion: get rid of all the artificial colors, flavours and preservatives and GMO items, lower your prices and maybe. Look Whole Paycheck is close by-WAY better. Same prices. This a beautiful store. But to be completely straight forward, the factor that makes or breaks a store is the restrooms. I didnt have the need so, I cant give it a complete evaluation. The other factor that makes that location so nice is comparing to the Half Moon Bay store. That store is in need of being demolished and building a store that the coastal community deserves. The people who work there are great. The fact that the gross restrooms are right next to the fresh fish/meat counter. You couldnt pay me eat something from that counter

Who doesnt know Safeway, and the excellent products they serve? And this goes for pretty much all Safeways in Northern California!They stand for, and by their freshness and tastyness of awesome products, known to all of us throughout the years.Not only can you expect and count on getting first class scrum diddly yumshes all year around, and what ever goodness each season brings with it, they also introduce new products quite often, thats for all departments!From produce, to the meat department, the frozen foods section, to the bakery, etc.And this said, I cant give enough thumbs up, to most all of the employees which are always ready to help their customers find items, even going as far as directly guiding them to their exact location. Or help you push your cart to your car, after checkout.But what stands out to me with this perticular Safeway in Pacifica, and I go to this location when visiting my elderly aunt about twice a month,is how extremely friendly and helpful they are! And this thumbs up goes to the two nice managers that worked the afternoon on Thanksgiving, and helped me out at the customer service booth by getting my Western Union money send from my mother in Europe as an early holiday present. It was a significant amount as well, and we couldnt find another location, if our lives dependent on it, but of course it was a holiday!This nice manager Lady that afternoon, even took a shorter, much deserved lunch breakfast to get me my money.She was very polite and patient, always smiling, friendly, happy, very pleasant person, and I thank you for going above and beyond! And all this in Thanksgiving, when most of us are with their families, they are some that still have to work! This wonderful manager Lady had family at home too!Again Safeway, management staff and all employees: Thank you so much for always being great, and making our Thanksgiving even greater by an unusual service done on a holiday!Thank you manager Lady, once more!All smiles, all thumbs up!!!

I went into my local Safeway store to pickup a few items. I lucked out, they had everything I was looking for and a few that caught my eye. Going home happy.
Nice selection of organic produce. This Safeway is clean and well-kept. Savory and sweet breads were available. A pet shop that sells high quality pet accessories.

I think that this grocery store is kept clean, well stocked, and the prices are good. I wish that they had a better discount section sometimes, but they have wonderful hot food for sale in the deli from 6am-7pm daily. They must have THE BEST breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich prices in town. I am grateful with the budget I have that I can eat hot and tasty food for such an awesome price. Thank you Linda Mar Safeway for your kind and hospitable ways. I have been frequenting this grocery store for a few months now and have gotten to know some of the employees. I appreciate Tiger because every time I go into the store he is sincerely greeting someone, or walking around placing a single flower at the registers. Nick is a big guy that is often stocking, bagging or getting carts. He was rather quite initially but has grown to be rather warm, kind & social. Rico is the deli guy that is humorous and kind and his mom Crystal is really nice. Robert is a bagger that I really enjoy saying hello to and making small talk, quite kind and social that guy. Oh I cant forget Jacqi, she is simply super kind and reminds me of a childhood friend named Danielle that that was one of the nicest females of my teenage years.Love, Kyle

I went there on a Sunday. So many people. So many cars. People used to say. Where the hell is Pacifica? Well they found it. It seems as though the people that are visiting this little town dont understand that there is a pandemic of covid-19. The beaches were packed with people from other areas of the Bay Area that are not practicing safe distancing and not wearing a mask. Shame on those people.

Tried ordering pickup. What a disaster! Order was not ready when it was supposed to be. Items were missing. I attempted to bring it to the attention of the employees but I didnt have time at the store to total everything up. I just knew at least one item was missing. After going through my receipt I had over $15 in items I did not receive! I dont have time to deal with the hassle of getting my money back. DONT ORDER PICKUP FROM THIS STORE!

Lovely cashier. Most people Ive met in Pacifica are generally more relaxed and congenial than San Francisco. Must be living next to a beautiful ocean and xoast and having some distance from the rat race.
Convenient place to get everything done and this is the closest to the beach. No security when it comes to people parking here -- beach goers tend to park and walk which then take up space in this small parking lot area. Difficult to get to if youre not from the area specially on special events or beach days due to congestion

Not as spacious as other Safeways in the area, but most of what you need is usually in stock.
The last four times I was there I was over charged on multiple items. Thats only the times I cought them. I suspected as much for a long time but now Im checking each item after check out. I have no trust of them and each time they refund the difference and I get a$5 gift card. Its not worth the aggravation so most of the time I go to eureka square.

This is a average strip mall. We stopped in to the bar Cheers and had a nice time. The staff was friendly and professional and the drinks were very good. They have sports on the TVs (Go Giants!) and an overall friendly atmosphere. It was late night so not much else was open. Pacifica is a fun town.
Have lots of patience...The lines are super slow, the clerks just take their time. I wonder if theyre ever going to put in self check out stands. And in the deli area, one thing that really gets me is putting hot food in paper bags that are brown paper lunch bags that arent going to hold. Use proper hot food bags that are lined inside with aluminum and made for hot wings, roasted chicken, etc.

I go to this shopping center several times a month, most often shopping at Safeway or Rite-Aid. I get my hair done at Obsessions, the excellent salon there. I also shop at Pet Food Express, which is a very nice store with helpful and knowledgeable staff. The Goodwill store there is a great source for creating a Halloween costume also good to buy holiday decorations there. The Ross store is a smallish one but they have a good selection of clothing and housewares.
Awesome supermarket thats in touch with what people need. Friendly staff and good security.
