This was our first time having a pool and when we decided to install a pool we did a lot of research on various companies and decided to go with Crowell and happy we did! We chose the Icon pool to have a deep end for a diving board and 360 slide and then we added a Topaz tanning ledge (for now its a kitty pool 12 deep with 3 fountains). This was the first time they had installed the tanning ledge raised the way we wanted it and Chip and the crew made sure to make it exactly how I wanted it. The end result was beautiful and I appreciated their willingness to show up every time I needed help with cleaning the pool or checking on an issue or questions I had.

I will never come back after the service I was provided by the gentleman who was really smart mouthed. My family bought us a hot tub from you folks and we just wanted to get chemicals. Plus I called in advance to be sure. Thank you.

I made an appointment with a rep at the store for a pool cleaning for a specific date. Called the store on the day of, to find out a status. I was told by a woman there, Sir we cant make appointments for a specific date, and it wont be this *week* . Are you serious? Why did you even put my name down for that date? No one bothered to call and advise of any delays or to reschedule. If I hadnt called, Id still be sitting here until whenever they decided to show up, if ever. I understand about being behind schedule/shorthanded, etc, but theres no excuse to not reach out and communicate with customers who have set aside *their* time for an appointment. Horrible customer service.

If you want service for your pool do NOT call on Crowell Pools in Paducah, Kentucky. Poor quality of work, when they finally show up. I would N E V E R recommend anyone offering business to them!!!!!

At first they were very helpful over the phone, and we understood that it would be a few weeks before they could come by. We were on the books for them to come repair our pool, but the day they were supposed to come we were told to fill the pool up into the skimmer as it has been leaking below that. We ran the water most of the whole day, but never heard anything. It wasnt till late that evening after we called that they said they were not able to make it that day. If we had known earlier we could have turned the water off and not have wasted gallons and gallons. By the next day all that water had leaked out, and it was all for nothing. Now they will not return phone calls. My husband is a double amputee and we were hoping to be able to use the pool for his physical therapy. It is not possible for him to take care of the pool any longer.

The Crowell team went above and beyond helping us with our 2011 spa repair from 2,000 miles away! We are located in the US Virgin Islands and after many phone calls around St. John, St. Thomas and St. Croix we turned to our former hometown to find help. Jeff and team not only expedited the parts over the holidays they talked my husband through the panel & board upgrade AND walked him through the software install over the phone! This is one of the best customer experiences we have had in a lifetime. Thank you so much 🏆

They did not turn up on time—they fixed absolutely nothing and then sent me a bill for over $1,100 I was worse off after there attempts —do yourself a favor don’t use them —I paid but under protest —this is the first review I’ve ever done and if it was possible I would give them no stars

We purchased a new Spa from Crowell Pools and Spas a month ago. The model was the Sovereign Hot Springs unit with ACE (salt) System, and we have used it every day since purchase with absolute delight. The installation team was top notch, on time and installed within 3 hours. We are thrilled with the unit, the ease of care and the overall comfort of the unit. The staff at Crowell is also top notch, and a big shout out to Jeff for all of his assistance and knowledge during our search for a Spa. He is well versed in the market, knows the competition and is very knowledgeable in the Hot Springs brand. Well done Crowell!

Crowell Pools & Spas put my fiberglass pool in 10yrs ago. They were a delight to work with during the purchase and installation and have continued to be there for me. I frequently take water samples to them for their freetesting. My pool has been easy to maintain. I highly recommend Crowell and feel as though I am treated as one of their family.

We have been doing business with Crowells for 16 years. They are wonderful to deal with. We have them test our water bi weekly all summer long and buy all of our chemicals from them. We were first time pool owners. We had Crowell Pools come help and help us. The pool started off great, we went from slime green to a light blue in a few days. However; we thought we could do it ourselves and changed up. MISTAKE!!! We went back to slime green. Crowell rescued us though and within two weeks we had beautiful crystal clear water!!! Crowell Pools installed our fiberglass pool almost 9 years ago and have been a part of our family since that time. They are a full service business who does NOT sell you something that you do not need! Since our install several years ago, they open and close our pool each year, test our water throughout the pool season using state of the art software/hardware to provide customized recommendations keeping our information stored in their computer system, keep me educated on all the latest pool products, and periodically check in with me to make sure everything is going ok. They just have a way of making each customer feel like family!

Nice place, they where very helpful and patient. Their prices where shockingly cheaper then the other stores on pool suppplies. Would recommend any body to check that place first for all pool needs instead of walmart or Lowes.

Bought the pool and after two years, it developed a leak. They proceeded to doublespeak as fast as possible so they would not be responsible for the work.The sand around the sides is washing away and leaving gaps under the pool edge. This is allowing the bricks to poke into the liner.First thing they want to make clear: 75.00 per hour labor charge if they dont think it is covered. The liner? 60 year warranty? at the seams only. Now I will test and if the seams are the cause, then will pursue a claim, but as for their service? Non-existent unless you are buying something.Try somebody else.

I went in twice to purchase a pool. The lady that helped me, might have well as been selling baseball cards.. She had to go to the back to get answers and then came back with the car dealership totals written down..I cant believe they run a business like that, and are still open. They give you one cash price, then take labor off for their percentage they give you and then charge you for a item the agreed to in the offer.. I reccomend going elsewhere..

We purchased an in-ground fiberglass pool and a Hot Springs hot tub from Crowell’s two years ago. The entire experience was amazing and the service that we have had since our purchase has been nothing but fantastic. Every member of Crowell’s staff were courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and always professional. Sharon & I purchased a Hot Springs Spa from Crowell Pools of Paducah. We love it!!!!! We have it outside on a cement base. The installation of the hot tub by the Crowell staff was fun, exciting and they explained the operation in a simple and professional manner. There is nothing like sitting in your own hot tub looking out at the night sky, or the birds in the air or even watching the snow this morning. The Hot Springs tub has given me pain relief in my back, shoulders and neck. My golfers elbow pain has lessened in just one week! The sales staff has been a joy to work with and has assisted us well. I do not normally write reviews but this company is so unprofessional that I had to share!!!A friend of mine recently bought a pool from Crowell Pools & Spas and has had nothing but trouble with this very unprofessional company. There were lots of issues but the one that bothers me the most is the fact that they went looking in her garage WITHOUT her permission to find tools that they needed to complete the job. Im sorry but if you have been in business for almost 50 years (according to their website) would you not know what tools might be needed and bring them with you to complete a job?!?!?!? The owners response to the employees entering the garage was that since she hired them to install the pool, they have every right to look for the tools that they need to complete it. Again if you have been doing this for 50 years you should know what you need and be prepared!!!

We had been looking to buy an above ground pool for close to a year. i guess i stopped in every pool store in a 100 mile radius of our home. i wanted to make sure we got our bang for our buck with the best deal possible. After comparing pool sizes and different types of installation processes we decided to go with Crowell Pools in Paducah Ky. They are the only ones i found that installs a concrete footer ring with a wedge inside as well as a cover over the sand underneath the liner because there is no perfect filtered sand with out small pebbles the extra sand cover and wedge keeps any type of rubbing to prevent taring of liner.I am probably the worst customer for any business when i walk in the door. My profession is sales and has been for 30 plus years so when i buy i get the chance to reverse the tables. But the staff at Crowell treated me like i try to treat my customers that i deal with. They took the time, on several visits, before i decided to make the purchase to make sure i knew what myself and my family were getting into with this pool purchase. They answered every question not once but several times and spent as much time as i needed them to with us, to assure us that they would be there after the sale and they have been.We just installed our pool this spring 2017. After a wet and cool spring we finally had weather good enough to have it installed. They came out laid out the pool area with us. We got our ground leveling done and they came out and begin the work. Everything went smooth and the pool was up and water running to fill within couple days. Every time each person came out to work on their phase of the project they were professional and we were treated the same. they go over every thing with you from opening the pool and closing and every thing in between. They recommend bringing a water sample at least once a month into the store where its tested for free and if it needs something they know what to give you to fix the problem.Couple Saturdays ago we were preparing to leave for a week on vacation. We were preparing the pool per Crowell recommendations, for a week gone with out attention when the pump motor went out. This was about 6 pm around about an hour after they closed. keep in mind we live 50 miles from Paducah. i called the owner was at a family get together but took my call anyway. Assured me to go ahead and leave and pool would be fixed first thing Monday. Around about 10 am i was all the way in Florida owner text me said my pool was up and running installed a new motor and water looked fine not to worry.If my service continues like it has been and i feel certain it will we plan on having years of no problem pool fun with Crowell as our pool provider.i would recommend Crowell Pools if your looking to take the plunge and buy a pool. The owners and staff are always friendly and helpful every time we talk or visit the store. They have been in business for so long they couldnt be any other way. Thanks to Crowell you have made our grandson very happy and smiles on our faces every time he is in HIS POOL !!!!

I am rating this company on behalf of my sister. The amount of stress they have caused her is unbelievable. She just lost her husband in April and I believe the owner of this company might be the most inconsiderate individual I have met. Here is her account of what happened. AND please beware...these are only the highlights, there was more.I ordered the pool about a month ago, put a down payment On it with balance due upon on completion of installation. They came last Monday and installed the liner and began filling the pool. When I got home @ 8:30 and checked, the liner was falling in on one side. I called them Tuesday morning and they sent someone out to check it and had to pump the water out and replace the liner because it was defective. That same day, my girls just happened to look out the window and saw one of the pool guys go into our garage. They walked out and another guy meet them and said they were needing an extension cord....about that time the other guy came out of the garage with an extension cord and said can we borrow this?It doesnt stop there, when they came back to install the new liner, they called me and said my water hydrant was broke (they have been the only ones using it all week) so my dad had to go install a temporary fix so they could get the liner finished.So when the guy calls me this morning to tell me they are coming out to finish the pool, I ask what type of compensation they were going to give me for the water that they pumped out due to a defective liner, the inconsiderate employee that just helps himself to our garage and the broken water hydrant. The owner, Chip Crowell I believe was his name, calls me back and proceeds to tell me that the pool only had 4 inches of water in it when they pumped it out and they shouldnt owe me anything for that (the water ran for a good 8 hours and I have a picture of the water level), water hydrants break all of the time and that isnt their fault and their employees would never steal anything....my girls are lying because he interviewed his employee and he said they asked before they went in the garage...and because I hired them to install a pool, they have every right to look for the tools that they need to complete it.(his words exactly)When I said, just come get the pool, I will go elsewhere...he says, I knew you were up to something all along, you just dont want to pay for the pool.First of all, I shouldnt have to ask for any compensation, they should be offering after all of these issues. Second, if you have been in our garage, you know it isnt just a garage, it was Jackies man cave...so for the girls to see someone just walk on in and hunt for something didnt sit well. So, when he told me they have a right to help themselves, I pretty much knew the type of person I was dealing with. Plus, if you are installing a pool, wouldnt you come equipped with extension cords and water hoses? And Third, water hydrants dont break everyday.Im sure I have left something out because we were on the phone a good 30 minutes and I was in tears before I got off the phone with him...I have never been talked to so rudely.Needless to say I just told them to come complete the job and I would pay them the remainder. I couldnt deal with them anymore and asked Miranda to come up while they were installing the pump/filter. And when she went out after they were supposedly done, they had installed the wrong pump and filter...so they had to take it back apart and go get the correct ones and reinstall. One would think this is their first pool installation or they are just taking advantage and a woman. Either way Hopefully, I am done dealing with them and wont have to step foot back in that store....and if you are in the market for a pool or pool supplies I would advise you stay clear of Crowell Pools.I wont even go into the whole saltwater system....they are a joke

The owner of this store is very disrespectful and rude, He has no communication skills what so ever. We had a pool installed by them only to end up with nothing but problems. They entered our garage without permission to get supplies for the job they came to do. They also delivered the wrong pump and filter that was agreed upon when purchased. On top of that they broke our water hydrant and insist those things happen all of the time. Speaking with the owner of this poorly ran business I am surprised he made it this far. If you are pool shopping in the Paducah KY area I highly suggest you go elsewhere unless you want to deal with a lot of problems.
