This place was great!!! The manager was amazing and offered many upgrades which I accepted at a discount rate and Im sure glad I did!!! He had my car running good as new!!! If i could have done 10 stars I would have. My family and I were 4.5 hours away from home, desperately searching for anyone at all to still be open and able to change a tire at 6:55pm. Well I gave them a call, even though they closed at 7 and I was 20 minutes away, and not only did Matt immediately say if he had a tire there that would fit he would stay late to put it on but he also went to another store to get a tire AND gave me a discount. He also let my 7 year old son participate in the tire process, keeping him occupied. Let me tell you, Painsville, OH is lucky as hell to have such a kind hearted mechanic in their midst. If I lived there I wouldnt take my car anywhere else. In fact, really I wish he was in Auburn, NY instead.Thank you Matt for being such a good person. Because of youre kindness, we made it home safely with our brand new puppy.

We hit debris on Rt 90 and something was now “making a noise”. We called Monro Auto Service and they said they could look at the car right away. They put the car on the jacks, identified the problem and fixed it immediately. We asked if they could change the oil since we were there and they did that quickly as well. Bob and the other person who helped us were both super friendly. They clearly explained what was wrong and DIDN’T CHARGE for the minor repair (whereas a less scrupulous business might have significantly overcharged). Price for the oil change was what we usually expect to pay. We really appreciate how efficient, honest and courteous those at this auto service center were.

I went in today for the first time thinking all I needed was an oil change but Bob showed me how badly worn my tires were. He seemed very knowledgeable and like someone I could trust, like he truly had my best interest at heart. And super friendly! I will be coming here for all of my car needs from now on!

Bob is the man. Showed up at the appointment time and day emailed to me by Amazon for a tire installation. Bob had no record of any appointment Amazon claimed they had confirmed with Munro. He hesitated only a moment before starting the service on my car while we worked to track down the information needed to process the order. The install was done in only an hour. After it was done, Bob still didnt have everything he needed to finish the order, but sent me on my way with well wishes. He seemed a little gruff at first but was friendly and very accommodating. I will definitely return for future tire needs. Excellent experience!

The guys at the Painesville branch are TOP NOTCH to say the lease. Brought my car in for an exhaust leak, which the dealership wanted to charge me over $600 for. After they looked at it, I was only charged $100 and some change to replace the muffler. Their honesty and saving me money has made me a returning customer in the future.

A few months ago they helped do the light bulb in my fiances Chevy Malibu and were almost $50 cheaper than the dealership and did fantastic work. We moved to Painesville 6 months ago. I have been taking my car up to Monro ever since. I cant see a reason to go anywhere else. The guys are great, the prices more than fair, and so much less than dealer prices. I never leave feeling like I was ripped off and the work they do is quality. Today I thought I needed a new tire and was told that the tire was still good and just needed to be repaired due to a screw in the tire that was causing a leak. I ended up getting an oil change too! Bruce was my technician today and did a great job! Love this place!

I just had an alignment done here because I had used tires put on. I asked if I should get them balanced and he asked if I shake or anything around 60-70 mph and I told him no. He was honest and said not to waste my money because I didnt need one since I wasnt shaking. Not many places will tell your that. I will be back.

I went to Monro because something plastic under my car had dropped down and was dragging on the road. The process took 10 minutes to fix, and I had the pleasure of speaking with Bob, who did not charge me for the simple procedure. This gesture made my day, and I will definitely go back if I have more car trouble!

Very nice and friendly people. Exhaust on my van was rusted out and needed replaced. I thought that the right side cat converter was shot because it was loud and stunk like hell. Bob advised that only resonator and a muffler needed replaced. Converter only needed a new gasket. They did a great job by welding new resonator to the original cat converter and exhaust is hung just like OEM. The price was a bit high but well worth the quality work.

I just had my car fixed here the other day. Bob was the guy I had spoken with and originally I needed both the muffler and exhaust replaced which was going to 500$+. But Bob offered to do just the exhaust and save the muffler. Saving me 200$! Everyone I called or came on they were really nice and explained everything well. Thanks guy :)

Fit our van in to check our tires. Very helpful showed me our tire was in very bad shape and dangerous to drive on. Had to drive home to fugure out the $ for new tire they were concerned but we ended up taking it back that night and they put our new tire on in record time!! Great service we will be back!!

I brought my Lincoln in for a wheel alignment. They told me that according to the shaking symptoms it most likely is snow build up in the wheel wells. They brought it in put it up on a lift and melted the snow at no charge. It worked like a charm no more shaking car going down the highway. They could have done the wheel alignment and charged me $80 but didnt because that was not the issue. I would definitely recommend Monro Muffler & Brake Service in Painesville. I was driving through construction on a holiday weekend and got a flat tire hundreds of miles from home. I called shortly before closing and the technician told me to bring my car and and he will wait for me, which he did! He quickly changed my spare, staying a little after close and refused to take a tip. If it were not for him, I would have been on the side of the road in a thunderstorm changing a flat tire!

I had 4 tires mounted and balanced, they did it in a timely manor and the cost was less than I had expected.This was my first time here and I will definately come back again. Bob was friendly and informative. He pointed out the used truck I bought had orginally come with 17 inch tires and someone had switched them to 20 inch.

They fixed what needed to be and didnt try to oversell just to increase profits. Came away with a much lower bill than I expected.

Called on the phone and spoke with Bob the manager, tried to get pricing but he said I had to come in for that. Went in had him look at my breaks and he gave me a great price. I was in and out within an hour and 1/2 including oil change. Will definitely return.

No courtesy inspection was ever done and they never even offered to run diagnostics to find out why my check engine light was on. When I walked in they notified me that they had no record of my appointment request and even when I showed them the confirmation email they still stated that they had no record of it and would try to fit me in but I should have called first

Oil change was fine, however they told me I needed new brake pads. I took the car to my regular mechanic, and he said I DID NOT need new brakes at all so dont believe the attempt to upsell. They have officially lost a customer due to being misled.

Took my car there a couple weeks ago after my check engine light came on. Stopped at AutoZone and had them run one of their tests. When I went to monro muffler the older guy working at the time was very rude. I told him what AutoZone said. Oxygen sensor bank one of three. He replied rudely by saying your car doesnt have three only two. He told me to take it somewhere else to have another test done, then come back. Instead I took it to another shop. Found out my car does have three and ended up spending 1k on my car to get everything fixed. Thats a thousand that shop could have made off of me, but instead Ill never take my car there again. Old man should work on his people skills. Just because you can fix cars doesnt mean you can talk to people how ever you want.
