Great local hardware store that has always had what I needed. Prices might be *slightly* higher, but this more than offset by super helpful and friendly staff and convenient location. And they are a locally own business and if the last year or so (2020) has taught me anything it has been support your local businesses. So yes. Great local hardware store.
Staff ready to help you locate supplies. Good inventory. Will go back there.
True Value is one of the great hardware stores around. Great help from all the people there especially the owners. They are polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Usually dont get that at the big stores. I have been going here since they first opened. They have never disappointed me. This is a small hardware store located conveniently in the neighborhood. There product selection is amazingly diverse considering their size. Prices are also very fair. True Value has helped me many times with solutions throughout the years. I can see, feel, hold and examine things at the store with their help. Then buy it and bring it home right away. I cannot do that with Amazon. Great store.
Great place; very friendly and helpful staff. Always enjoy shopping here when I need items for home improvement.
The have a good team. Always great service.
Garden tools are of extremely poor quality. Did not take returns for an item because it was used after I tried it once. So much for shopping locally owner! Never will patronized the store again. I gave them back the garden tool without the refund because it was a peice of junk. Goodwill sell better items!
Good local shop but they are pricing themselves out of the market.
I was strolling through the store looking for a few things i needed didn’t have the specific things i needed so i went to the auto aisle to see if they had anything i needed. saw two different forms of rain-x so i took one out of the box to read the back of the bottle decided on a different product so i put it back in the box and headed to the cash register, only to be chased down and harassed by a manager finding that one of the bottles was empty insisting that i transferred the liquid into another container and stole it harassed me for a good 3 min while showing him that i litterly had no place to hide the liquid purchased the product that i wanted to buy. OPEN YOUR EYES AND MAKE SURE SOMEONE DID SOMETHING BEFORE YOU HARASS PAYING CUSTOMERS. ruined my entire day horrible place to shop.
They usually have what is needed in a pinch and everyone is always so helpful. The popcorn doesnt hurt either ;) Support local!
I Am Officially Storm Ready! They had the flashlight/nightlight combo unit I have looking for. Always Greeted Immediately! I was only in the store for two minutes and two other staff members asked me if I needed help.. I did! Thanks True Value
Love the convenience of a local shop. The manager is great and extremely knowledgeable. The prices are usually higher than the big box stores but you pay for convenience and service, and the fact you don’t have to drive 20 minutes away to get the same thing!
A decent local hardware store, a little higher priced than others.
Expensive… but free popcorn 🍿!
Friendly staff. Good stock of supplies. A bit pricey but very convenient.
Hate is a strong word havent been to this store yet
Great neighborhood has it all store. Glad they are there.
Good selection of items, however they are a little expensive
Im a long time shopper here, literal decades. Tired of the double check of every bill $20 and over, two times each, right in front of me and those waiting behind me when I pay with cash. Its disrespectful and no other local stores do this to me. I will shop here less now.
12/2020 Stopped in on a chance the other day. Found a few items my wife was looking for. The staff is very helpful. Keep up the great work team!2017 I still hit the big box stores for most of my items. But in a pinch I stop in, and they always have what I need. A little more expensive than the big box, but sometimes that is worth it. Love the free popcorn too when I stop in. The staff is pretty helpful. Being close by and local owned is a plus when I need something close.
Very good experience- Jeff and Joseph were very friendly and helpful! A medium sized for a hardware store, a lot of variety and a decent stock of options. Had a pleasant trip, will go again if needed...
DO NOT SHOP HERE.First the prices are 20% higher that online dealers, Home Depot, Menards, or Lowe’s. i was a loyal customer for 15+ years and never made a return. I purchased a handheld conduit bender and they did not have a handle. I went to return and they said all tool sales are final. I explained why how when it was bought they were out of handles and I needed to purchase another one at a different store. The manager Alicia was extremely rude and said she didn’t care that I was a customer for over 15 years with not one return. She would not accept a store credit and it took 4 asks to get her name. Then she walked away from me.They said shop local but this place is one you need to avoid.
This is a great True Value! The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They always have what I am looking for and over the years they have introduced me to new products that I now go to all of the time. They teach the kids that work for them how to be as helpful as the owners and managers. Shop locally and support this store, they are an asset to the area.
Do not rent garden tools here. I was lectured by the manager when I brought back a lawn aerator that still had some dirt on it. I power washed it when I was finished! He got on the ground and pulled out some grass that the power washer didnt get out. He admonished me and told me next time he was going to charge me. Guess what....he will never get that chance because I now rent everything from Home Depot. It is worth the 15 minute drive.
Small Ma & Pa shop, much more convenient that the big stores, and still has just about everything youd need.
I needed a 1/4 bit holder for my drill. I am a tradesman and I probably have a half a dozen laying around butcouldnt find any. So I pick up a pack of 2 here for around $15. I get them home and they are absolutegarbage. The magnet is non existent..the screws wont stay on the bit...just horrible. You literally have to holdthe screw to the wood/drywall! I clip the receipt to the pack for a refund and go to Lowes as I needed othermaterials. When I went to return it...the young lady tells me that That theres no returns on tools.I asked how that can be?..she says...All sales final on tools. So I ask where does it say that. She then pointsto my receipt. Yes...my receipt that I got AFTER I bought it. Seemed pretty shady. So if the tool you boughtIs defective or just doesnt work ...you are out of luck and they dont care.So I am out $15 ..which is really not the issue..or a big deal. I am also out the 15 minutes it took to givethem a 1 star review. I am hopeful this review costs them way more.
Always excellent service
These guys (and gals) are GREAT! I come in like a tornado when I am working on projects. I usually have weird projects and need help and direction and I have never had to ask for help. They volunteer as soon as I walk in. From the owner to the cashier respect and knowledge seem to be the words of they day. MUCH BETTER SERVICE than a big box store. (And they have free popcorn too) HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I live close by and frequent the store often. Until today the customer service had been nothing short of excellent on each visit...I needed a tool that was not in stock and the manager told me they had one for rent. He set me up with the rental and I want on my way. What he didnt tell me was that it was a 1 day rental and the tool was due back the next day. In fairness it is buried in the fine print. Well it was due on Monday and I returned it on Tuesday. When the person on duty told me it was late and there would be an additional charge bringing the two day total to an amount roughly $3 less than owning the darn thing I protested. I honestly was not aware of the 24 hour stipulation. This is where it took a turn for the worse. The guy behind insisted I absolutely was aware of this and I would need to take it up with the manager. When the manager came into the store he stormed down the aisle shouting at me GIVE ME A BREAK ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Insisting he told me to bring it back in 24 hours and pointing at the fine print on the contract. Mind you this is over a $15 charge that he agreed to waive before storming in the place to follow up his partners condescending attitude with with his self righteous lecture. As a matter of customer service he could have simply said thank you for bringing this back, I am sorry for the miscommunication, as a courtesy I am going to waive this today but please be mindful of this next time. Instead he treated a loyal customer like a dead beat to ensure the whole store knew he had done his job and I should have read the fine print. Awful, Awful, customer service.Well sir you have won the argument and lost a loyal customer. You taught me to read the fine print and I learned to shop elsewhere as an added bonus.
The staff and owner of this store are always so polite and helpful. I definitely recommend stopping by and supporting a local business!
Love this one cashier she’s so nice and positive, I think her names Emilia 😂
First trip to this store. Staff was friendly and I found everything I needed. Not much more to say than that!
Was short one penny on the total amount purchased to use a discount coupon valued at $5.00.....will never shop here again!
I love this place! The staff is super helpful! I can be in and out in 5 min with everything I need. Any other store would be a 20-30 minute visit filled with frustration.
Though a relatively small True Value, it is stocked wisely; assessing its neighborhood customers most frequent needs. Also, fairly knowledgeable personnel always available.
Products that fit & work right the first time. Expert, courteous service. This is the place to go for your hardware needs.
I went in there and the workers helped me gather everything I needed for my booth at a local show. Ill be back.
The Big Box stores are twice as far so for some quick pick-up items like nuts and bolts or tape, paint brushes, etc... I like to come here because its convenient, the staff is friendly and you get to smell the fresh (free) popcorn as you walk in.
Im a long time regular ! Drive out of my way ...best tv viewing ....local hang out ! Great food .
Worst customer service experience I have ever had by a store manager. Does not know how to treat women, refused to return an item that dint work claiming that it does and ignoring my explanation of the problem. Dont expect to be able to return anything here in any condition, never buying anything from here.
Its a smaller store very near the house. Its great for a quick run to grab a quick item but I dont feel like it can compete with the bigger stores.
Always the best service. Time is important and you save time (thus money) by having someone help with whatever home project needs you have.
Every time I come to this store, it is out of emergency because it is so close to my location and I cannot drive 20 minutes away to a better store. This store has no growth strategy or concept of growth. The custoemer service is poor and the staff lacks simple knowledge. Furthermore, there is no return/exchange policy. A store this big should allow returns on products which are unsuitable. Example, I purchased a soldering tool and it did not fit into my holder or dock. However, I may not return this opened product. Fine if Im buying at a garage sale or some micro shop but I overpaid for this tool and I feel like I was punished for shopping there because of that and because of the fact that I cannot return it. The whole concept of this outfit is BS. Id prefer to see new management or a different store move in than share a neighborhood with a hardware store I cant use. Btw, dont the other reviews seem fake? who puts bold in their reviews and uses such extreme board statements.
Helpful, friendly staff and a great neighborhood hardware store!
Very good service
Manager refused return my item within 30 days
Horrible...this is what you can call a RIP OFF...a stain remover that costs less than 4$ in Walmart/Target/Amazon is 8$ here. When I asked the manager, he was so arrogant and started shouting at me, told me to drive to a Walmart and buy the cheap product from there....come on, try to live in todays world and WORK HARD, dont try to STEAL peoples hard earned money. . I will try to avoid this store at any cost. LOOK at the prices before buying anything from here. The manager does not know how to behave with customers. They want to exploit the fact that some people dont want to spend the extra 5-10 minutes to drive to a Walmart of Home Depot and charger whatever they feel like....Only a week before I had another bad experience at this store. I had purchased a liquid nail (probably sitting there for years and hardened). I went for an exchange and the owner gave me a new one which was good...But I had to waste the time and drive up there for it.
Very helpful customer service.
Always have what I need
They wouldnt return s tool I used one time. Even though it still looked new.
Great place very helpful
Love the service you get
Horrible customer service!!Go elsewhere.
