Esmeralda and Jose tool great care of us! Overall great service and food was pretty good too. As far as something that would stand out, not really. Food portions are generous and its enough to have a second snack especially if your having dessert. Place looks clean, lots of seat both inside and out. Food takes a bit to come out but worth the wait.
Pretty good continental Jewish diner/restaurant. The menu is too long and packed with meal options to study it really. Its a bit on the pricey side for a lunch (soup & salad: $15.99) but the food is well-prepared. Service is relatively fast and friendly. Ive been there multiple times for lunch and dinner and ususlly leave satisfied.
I’ve been going to Manhattan in the desert for almost 20 years and it’s always been wonderful. The service is always good, and last night was no exception. The wait staff was amazing! They’re friendly and attentive and professional.I ordered the meatloaf special with coffee and a side salad. The coffee and salad were exceptional. The greens and veggies were fresh beyond compare. The Cesar dressing tasted house made and was authentic. The meatloaf arrived before I was finished with my salad but that’s ok. There was enough food on that plate for 2-3 people. 3 large slices of meatloaf covered with brown gravy, a scoop of mashed, and what looked like a cup of mixed frozen green beans and carrots.The mouth joy that I experienced with the salad and coffee unfortunately couldn’t overcome the disappointment over the hot meal. The mashed potatoes were old and reheated, frozen veggies were still refrigerator cold in spots, and the meat loaf was definitely not a historic family recipe. It seemed less than fresh and reheated as well.Hopefully this was just a beginning of season fluke or a bit of fallout from the pandemic, so I didn’t complain. I did however leave the 90 percent uneaten leftovers behind and generously tipped the waitstaff.I’m not sure if I’ll go back anytime soon as there are other options around, particularly as I visit the LA area once a month or so and will hit up Katella Deli.

Terrific food. Great meal specials. The waitstaff members are all friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and helpful. We were so full we could not enjoy any of the marvelous looking desserts. Well worth a stop.

Dinner was excellent. They have several dinner specials all at $12.99 dine in only. Service was quick and courteous and my meat loaf special came with baked potato and green beans, but there are other choices. Took home 2 desserts. Slice of German chocolate cake and Double fudge chocolate cake. Each slice could feed 2 people easily. Was a great dinner.
Huge menu.Comfortable seating.Food was amazing.The only downside was ordering from the bakery on our way out. The staff there seemed annoyed to have to wait on people. Completly different than how our waiter treated us....he was super nice and took great care of us. However the baked goods were amazing.Definitely planning to go back.

I absolutely love my visits to Palm Springs. This visit I discovered this place. They have the best deli food! They have something for every one. I love their veggie sandwich, breakfast, meat sandwiches. They have fast become my favorite place. I have never had a bad dish. Their food is fresh and delicious! I’m only sad they cannot come back home with me.
The food was great as always. The waiter kept commenting on our food selection. Then an item I specifically said I didnt want something, they still brought and thought it was weird that I didnt want it(a bagel). Very strange breakfast 😏
Consistently delicious food and an expansive menu. We always bring friends here when they come to visit as its one of the few places you can get a substantial brunch menu all day long in Palm Springs. The staff are always so friendly and genuine as well! Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

My favorite dish is the Frisco Burger. Toasted sourdough parmesan bread, thick burger patty.Its just very satisfying!

Hadnt been at Manhattan for over a year. Saw that they changed the decor which in my opinion is not inviting, color scheme is awful. Waited quite some time for a server. She had a bad disposition, didnt introduce herself. Needed to ask her name. She appeared to be taken back because I had to ask. After ordering didnt see her again until I ask for my server. Waited awhile before she approached.Food has become adequate, nothing to rave about. Looks like Shermans Deli is the place to go.
Food is always great portions are more than you need but everything is super I recommend this place to anyone from the east coast

From the outside, I thought this place was going to be more upscale than it is. The interior just looks dated and worn. But the staff, huge menu, and great food were better than I expected. I dont usually like fries, but they have the big thick kind I like. There were 4 of us and we all really liked our meals.
We were staying at the Westin Desert Willows and the concierge who lives in the area recommended this restaurant. We certainly were not disappointed. Plenty of parking available. The restaurant was clean, service terrific, and quality of the food was excellent. Be prepared to be hungry for the portions of food on the menu are large. Our server was Roman Sr ( experienced and long time worker) was professional, courteous, and catered to our dining needs and wants. My wife and I split a huge triple decker club sandwich. If you dine here, you need to be aware that Palm Springs restaurants need to see verification of COVID-19 vaccines. The manager Albert Guzman was great and very accommodating as we arrived. Immediate seating ( large venue). They have a fantastic bakery section with tons of delicious choices of fresh bakery goods as you exit. Highly recommend this place .

Corned beef hash breakfast was a disappointment. Thought it would be house made. It may be, but it was like run through a food processor and was like mush. Toast and hash browns were fine. Service was excellent. Loved our waiter.
The options here are endless! Over 100 sandwich and breakfast options. The also have a pastry case and deli counter. Quality of the meats is very good here but a bit salty. Overall had a great lunch here, not full five stars because the interior was worn out and could be cleaner. Ask for any condiments you would like when ordering as the sandwiches are served dry.

Great New York deli in palm Springs. Great staff, (Claudia). I ordered the rueben with pastrami and corned beef, with a side of fries. The sandwich was very tasty, but I was disappointed by the amount of meat on it. I looked at pictures of the food before going in and felt the amount on mine, vs the pictures was lacking. That wont dissuade me from going again. I also order a slice of cake, to go. It was HUGE. They had to slice it in order to get into the containers. It tasted very good too.
I live in Las Vegas and our friends introduced us to Manhattan about 11 years ago when they lived in Palm Springs. Now they live in Pomona and had a hankering for Matzo Ball Soup which was funny because my husband and I had been talking about it not too long ago. After a phone call and email, we found out they had outdoor dining, we hopped in the car just to go get soup!!! It is seriously some of the best matzo ball soup we have had and it was worth the drive. We even ordered some to go for our son who also loves it, but wasnt with us. Corned beef sandwich was so tender as usual. But the soup, oh man.
Not a great dinner of fish and chips. I asked for crispy fries and they were pretty soggy The fish was pretty greasy.I like the bagels although theyre not boiled and the white fish salad was good. I would go back and try a sandwich for lunch not necessarily go there for dinner.

Second time back this trip. Great friendly service. We had a French dip and a Manhattan foot long all beef Frank with homemade chilli and cheese on top. Both meals were amazing yummy. We also had Pepsi for our drinks. Dont forget to get your homemade desserts on your way out. Cheese cake best in town. Enjoy.

Likely the worst meal of my life.We went for dinner and was presented with a book (really). The menu is extensive, which means they do not specialize in anything. This Manhattan restaurant did not know that bagels are boiled then baked (ugh). Go someplace else for your meal.If I get sick from my meal (Pepto), Ill post an update. Good luck.
Was visiting Palm Springs & Shermans restaurant was closed so we were told about this place. We looked it up and nowhere did it say we needed our vaccine card. 1 in our party didnt have her card so we had to sit outside which was ok. But the sandwich I ordered was dry. I had to ask for mustard & ketchup for my onion rings. The service was not that great. Would I come back there? I might just to try the service on the inside.
Food was cold, but they fixed the issue quickly. Used to go more frequently but the vibe and energy has changed. A good staple when you have a diverse appetites.

She really embodies the image that matches the fun vibe of Manhattan in the Desert... and if youre not in the mood for sandwich their burgers are amazing and their breakfast is incredible. Im a return customer at M.O.T.D. there bakery item case is like the Disneyland of yummy snacky snack cakes, the food is outstanding I highly recommend it, I only gave 4 stars at my last visit was for my sisters birthday and they dropped the ball and forgot to bring out a surprise yummy yummy, however they did once I mentioned it, they were super busy that day and nobody is perfect.

I was charged twice for the same meal and then my Son, a Retired LEO and Veteran, was told he would be arrested by the PSPD if he ever came back after he tried politely to defend me. I am a honest Senior, who most certainly can and does pay ALL my bills for Gods sake. I left the money on the table and it was stolen. It happens, they humiliated and abused me by their actions and tactics, then my Son too, who was merely standing up for his Mother, and he is also a Senior Citizen.They never gave him the opportunity to explain the situation, the Manager Cliff stated nothing like that ever happens here and have now lost us as cutomers and ever one we know, a lot of people.. The other male Manager threatened to call the Police and have him removed when he was just trying to get to the truth, to have him simply listen to the facts, but the Manager, who would not ID himself, didnt allow him to speak, and was incredibly verbally abusive.Then he told to usgo to Shermans next time!. Our family were loyal customers for over 25 years, this is how we were treated. THE TRUTH MATTERS. This is the TRUTH.

Unless youre a regular, definitely check out the menu before you go, its huge! Not a complaint, because 95% of it looks amazing and their pictures dont lie.The prices may seem a little steep, but you get what you pay for. The quality, quantity and great service makes it well worth the price.Its almost a shame that the portions are so large because the bakery case in front is to die for! I suggest picking out your dessert first and boxing it up for later because you probably wont have room for it and the items sell fast. I made this rookie mistake last time...I had my eye on something to take home, but by the time I ate dinner, my first, second and third choices were gone! No joke, I saw something I wanted from my table, but even before our waiter could get there, someone snatched both of them out from under me!
Was there 2x last week. First time which was dine-in was excellent! 2nd was a take out order. The sandwich i ordered wasnt as requested and it was it was a huge disappointment. Had same item on a previous visit last month and was right on point and perfect.

Great food served up with an unfriendly attitude. I walked in, asked for some takeout bakery and deli items. The person that filled my order was rude and abrupt like they were doing me a favor. I ordered sliced cold roast beef, and specifically asked if the meat was rare. The answer was YES. Sure enough, when I got home and prepared a sandwich the meat was well done, NOT rare. Overall a bad vibe in this place. Too bad because the menu, which is overpriced (for example $7.95 for a milkshake), contains some dishes that you cant find anywhere else. I wouldnt mind paying the jacked up prices if the atmosphere was welcoming. I will never ever go back to this restaurant.

Amazing food and portions! You must absolute ask for the pickles at the table and try the sour tomatoes. I asked for my potatoes to be extra crispy and they delivered. You are gonna love the latkes, the grilled breakfast sandwiches, and the bagel and lox! Also, try the bakery items, they are very inventive and tasty.
Decided to try this place out, after constantly going to another well known deli in the area. I wasnt impressed. The portions were large, but the meat tasted bland. They offered no pickles with your deli sandwich (probably had to order separately). Tried their desserts and was quite impressed with their cannolis. They were very delicious. Also tried their tiramisu, carrot cake and fudge cake. All were good. I might come back when the other deli is too busy.
