People were not so friendly and seemed pretty dead with no enthusiasm. The prices were outrageous. I prefer anyone on here to take there bikes to a person or shop will fix it for a cheaper cost.

I heared over one of the costumers there and she was complaininadding they kept raising the price on her bike and kept adding new things that needed to be fixed and was constantly ignored when hasking for help

Entered the store with my mother and sister, no employee greeted us or acknowledged our presence. It was clear that we needed help but no one even offered. Most employees and some customers were not wearing masks—unacceptable. Needless to say, we left within within minutes.

Love this place got my first Trek Marlin 6 and Sky SL MTB for my wife. Frank was very helpful and knowledgeable. They have respectable prices and do give military discount.

In October 2020, I had two tubes replaced and purchased two gatorskin tires. Today, I got a flat while riding and went home to change the tubes. Look what I found? The original tube was there and they had not replaced it - yet charged me for a brand new one. I normally wouldn’t leave a negative review, but I called the shop to let them know about it and was met by being completely dismissed and told they would “never” do that. I asked to speak with the owner, however, he couldn’t be bothered to talk to me apparently. I could hear him tell the employee I was on the phone with that, “I’m not going to get on there and argue with the guy”. The messed up part about this whole thing is I didn’t even want anything from them, I already replaced my tube. But I did want to let the owner know they charged me for a tube they didn’t put in and I could have been hurt bombing a hill and that tire going flat on me. Too bad the owner couldn’t take the 1 min to talk to me, he would have kept me as a customer. He seemed very nice when I was there back in October. Instead, I will make sure he knows that it’s not a good business practice to charge people for goods not received and dismiss customers. Especially when all the customer was doing was calling to let him know what happened. I didn’t want a replacement or anything from them, was just sharing the experience as I hope someone would do for me if I owned a business

There where like 7 employees at the shop all men no one of them wearing a mask. These people obviously have no concern about their peers health safety. I will not risk again to go to these shop. If they dont care about themselves how can they care about the customers. And I went today Nov. 2020. When the news in LA is there virus is going higher that people are dying and LA is close to a lockdown. The governor of California is begging for people to take care. And they dont care. Just like that, but Im confident to say they do want your money.

Wonderful workers, extremely helpful with choosing out a bike and helping me decide on what Id need and such. Lifetime maintenance is a huge plus thats almost an unbelievable deal. They let you test ride the bikes and were always friendly. Will definitely be my go to for any bike needs I have.

👎🏻 I went there in good spirits to find a bike to get in shape. I’m 6’5 380lbs I’m well aware there are bikes that can support me cause I belong to big guy bikes group and guys my size have nice bikes. The person I talked to was so rude and completely discriminated against me cause of my size. Like we was disgusted I was even there. I was so upset I just left and didn’t even bother looking for another bike as he took the wind out of my sails... unprofessional and discriminatory.

I had such a great experience. First time being there. I called first and spoke to a young lady, Ariel. She was helpful with all my questions and concerns. As soon as walked in, I asked for help and Ariel immediately assisted us. She was kind and professional. She helped us put together a bicycle for my wife. When it was finished, within a few minutes the bicycle looked fantastic. I was so excited and pleased with the outcome. I gave my wife an early Mother’s Day gift. She loved it! Went in to look for a mountain bike, store was empty, no one greeted me or acknowledged my presence. It was odd. The girl at the cash register was fiddling around with paper. Three employees were at the rear of the store complaining about CEO’s and people who make over a hundred grand a year. It was not a good experience, don’t think I will be back . The bikes I looked at were way over marked up. So I will keep shopping around, I will probably go out of town to buy a bicycle, since these local businesses mark the price up well above retail. So much for supporting local business. Like I said, store was empty, not busy at all, employees were too busy complaining to each other. The employees looked at me and did not even acknowledge they had a customer. Not even greeting a customer is not the way to do business.

New to mountain bike scene and was in the market for a nice entry level bike. Brian was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He had all the answers I needed to know about getting into mtb and how to choose the right bike for me. Bob the owner of the shop was also very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He helped me dialed in my bike, and gave me the run down and benefits of purchasing a bike from them. They also setup my bike for tubeless tires, and it was nice and quick. Bob also gave me some tips on where to get out and ride. Which is very helpful since in just moved to the AV. If you’re in the AV and in need of a bike, parts, tools, gear, apparel, repair services etc. and all at reasonable prices, give these guys a visit. They were nothing but excellent customer service. Not a fan of this place. They convinced me to get a $60 maintenance package that I didnt really need since my bike just needed new tires. The tires ended up running out of air despite them giving me new tires. I also had them put fluid in other tires to prevent holes but those tires also deflated heavily. The money I paid should have been for quality products/service. I didnt get a call when the bike was due to be ready because it wasnt ready. They had a week to do what only took a few hours. When I showed up to pick up the bike, they started working on my bike right away. What did they do with my bike the whole week? I can understand that theyre busy but give better estimates for the repair time and communicate more.Furthermore, to accuse me of dishonesty is indicative of the type of company this is. I use a different name on yelp but Im the same person. Id like to add that the issues with the bike tires (and the gear changer) happened 3 weeks after I left the shop without much use. The issue with the gear happened 2 months after with very little use. I admit that it was an aged bike, and that the gear issue was possible, but the tire issue wasnt possible based on the use. We hadnt use the other tires for 6 moths until now, and the tires are out of air despite the new tires provided and the liquid placed inside the tires - without no use in the past couple of months.

Super friendly and knowledgeable. I was a little intimidated when I first walked in after seeing the all high end biking equipment, but I was treated very well. They didnt have exactly what I wanted to purchase but instead told me how to fix what I have. ALL FUTURE cycling purchases will be there instead of online. Thanks!

This bike shop was on Treks website before they even opened, I stopped by and the owner was there. We talked and I told him what I was looking for. Once the shop opened up, he got what I wanted and made sure that the bike I was ordering fit my riding style. The Squeaky Wheel Bike Shop and its crew are the most helpful, happy, friendly bike shop Ive ever been to. Im from out of town about an hour and half and I still go there for all my biking needs, that is how awesome they are. Cant beat a bike shop who is there for their customers and who actually are engaged in the biking lifestyle, riding and testing their own products. Never had a problem walking in and talking bikes, or getting to see new products and procedures for biking. BEST bike shop hands down. Thanks Squeaky Wheel and all you have done and become! What a great bicycle shop! The owners are super knowledgeable, friendly and really want to make your cycling experience enjoyable. They are so enthusiastic about cycling you cant help catching the bike bug. If they dont have what you are looking for they can get it for you in a flash. Go see Bob or Shilo and they will take great care of you! They are now my only stop for cycling needs!

Been happy with them since they opened, but Im just now motivated to write a review. Took my bike in for a flat repair and they noticed the hanger for my derailleur was broken. Asked Scott how much it would cost and he said he wasnt going to charge me because it didnt look to him like something that ought to have happened. Yes, Trek will reimburse them (I asked), but still I know that takes the shop going to bat for me and saying that Trek ought to cover it. Thats good service.

Bob is always helpful and very knowledgeable. Im purchasing a new bike for my son who just joined the mountain bike team which the Squeaky Wheel helps sponsor. Not only do they provide great service, but there community outreach is awesome.

I have a new favorite bike shop. I recently upgraded some parts on my bike and needed a wheel build for my front hub. The folks at The Squeaky Wheel did a great job on my bike. They did a great job on my front wheel and all the loose parts parts I brought in. There was some confusion with the parts for my front wheel that ended up in a delay. This did not affect my riding though. The Squeaky Wheel made sure I had a loaner to get my weekend riding in. They have won themselves a longtime customer.

My name is JR and ive neen in tjr squeaky wheel on 3 occasions and it was by far the worst shop ove ever dealt with.the person i dealt with was rude and ignorant from the time i walked in the door.all i needed was a spacer washer for my 19mm sealed besring spindle on my WTP bmx.they couldnt even take the time to listen to me.

I found everything I needed and more. I needed to learn how to change a flat and a young staff member went above and beyond to teach me all the steps to do it . Thank you!

Honetly went there once before the shop open. Cause the main owner was doing bike repairs before the placed open. He was advertising on craiglist and his prices were cheap. Got him to true my bike wheels. One was a little out of wack and the other was bent bad. But he told me he would do the best he can to true the wheels. After a couple of day. He calls me. Telling me my wheels were done. Meet up and got my wheels. He did a teriffic job. Got the wheels almost perfect. Even though one was bent badly.Ok this time I go to his shop when it opens. With a different older bike to get the same job done. Drop wheels off. Waited. Got the call they were done. Told me they had to tighten the spokes all the way on both wheels just to get it decent. Went home. Put on tire. One wheel folded. Went back. Tell me this happens to older wheels. I was unhappy. Because he did a job like this before. The only difference this time. Was because it wasnt him working on my wheels. Just one of his friends.So all I have to say. Is to make sure the main owner works on your bike. Cause he will do the best job and fix the impossible. Just his friends wont. (Sad face, Thought this would be my LBS)To this person replying back to my review. I have purchase lube, a chain and bar tape from squeaky wheel I know that for sure.
