Caitlyn at the front desk was wonderfully helpful, along with the technicians. I came bright and early (7:30am) and they had replaced all 4 ties, a brake light, and completed an oil change by 10:30 am. Will definitely recommend to everyone!

Went in there for a replacement battery. I gave them the old one for an easy swap. Also to avoid the core charge. Im not sure how incompetent you can be to have the old battery in front of you and still give out the wrong replacement. No worries, i get the fact the cashiers here have the IQ of a gecko.. i go back 2 hours afterwards for a refund or replacement for the proper one, with the receipt in hand but tell me no because of the acid in battery. Time & most importantly money wasted. Batteries aint cheap. The lead lady at the front desk just told me to call the manufacturer & it is what it is….

Use as last resort! In a pinch and need a tire on a Sunday? Be prepared to wait 3.5 hours for it, but you’ll get one eventually. At least you can hear the techs having fun moaning at the top of their lungs.If it can wait, just go to AT Tire or any other locally owned tire shop.

Great service an team they have

I have had many services done at the Palmetto Walmart location. I’ve had my oil changes, tires installed and tire rotated. This location always seems to have long wait times even if you are first in line, my last visit I had close to a 2 1/2 to 3 hour wait for a simple oil change. Be sure to plan ahead if you are considering having a service done there.

Arrived at 7 am as to avoid a wait for oil change. Auto center states they open at 7am. It is now 11 minutes after 7 and I am still standing at the door. A few employees have walked by and no one has opened the door. Another guy is standing at the counter inside waiting and no one even acknowledges that he is there. We arrive early because we have other things to do and need service right away. I feel as though the customer is not priority at this Walmart. Very displeased

WARNING!!!...STAY AWAY!!!.EXTREMELY LONG WAIT and then I had to leave. Tires ordered on line. No service for a more than 3 hour wait. Absolutely ridiculous!!! I took my tires and left. Ill get them serviced elsewhere.VERY POOR MANAGEMENT...

By default they charge you for valve stems and they have no clue if theyve actually been done or not. Mine are still covered in brake dust, called them and they wanted me to bring it in to prove it before refunding me the $6.Your policy is to just charge for valve stems willy nilly and you need ME to come PROVE you didnt do them? How about you PROVE to ME you did them? If its policy to just charge regardless, the techs need to be communicating to the cashier when they arent done. Period.I went in and they just refunded without looking. Whoever I talked to on the phone must have been under the impression I was calling to scam Walmart out of $6. Idiotic.I wonder what other services they just charge for without knowing if they were done or not, huge red flag for me. They have been good in the past but Im pretty gun shy now.

Bought two pirelli tires about 5 or 6 months ago and they have done nothing but shake, and had them balanced twice already...Update.....went back for 3rd round of balancing and finally no more shaking...Thank you oh yeah now have ware on the two tires the where shaking at a siren speed..

Staff wont answer the phone. let phone ring for 15 minutes before I wrote this. Just to see if what I read was true.

They have good people and fair prices but wait times are terrible. They rarely open on time, currently standing at the service counter to get an oil change 8:10am, supposed to open at 8:00. Not a soul in sight, lights off and nobody’s home. 6 people in line for service and no one here on time to their job. This is why their wait times are so long all day, they start every day behind. If you open at 8:00, be at work by 7:45 and ready to go at 8:00. Manager finally showed up to unlock the doors for the technicians at 8:27. Had the same issue a few months ago on my last oil change.

Two times in a row going here for an oil change, being told Its going to be about an hour and a half, then waiting for two and a half hours and being told sorry we cant do it. 5 hours wasted between the two visits. Dont go here for an oil change. Theyll waste your time, not do the job, and tell you sorry, nothing I can do about it. Both times were because they couldnt get the oil filter off a Toyota Corolla. The next shops I took it to both times had no problem, so it doesnt seem to be a problem with my car.

Every time I go there whether its to get a battery put in and purchase or to just have a tire fixed or an oil change its always two or three hours. This is ridiculous they need more help or they need to make a schedule so that you can make a time and come and have your car serviced or purchase what you need. It seems worse at Palmetto than any of the other Walmarts. They need more help they need something to get this problem fixed

This auto shop has horrible service time. Ive tried to get my oil changed 3 different times. 1st was a Thursday afternoon around 3, they said they wont get to it before they close. 2nd was a Saturday around 1pm, they said its a 5 hour wait. Then today (Saturday) I was there at 0730, they said it would be 2 hours, 3 1/2 hours later I was done. I tried to make an appointment but they dont do that. Do not go here if you have little time. Also whatever time they say the wait is, add at least an 1 1/2 hour to it.

Even with an appointment, it was still over 4 hours for a tire change. The poor crew at the desk spent most of their time apologizing for the wait times, and they lost a lot of business from others who couldnt wait that long for service.Update: The techs broke a the valve stem while installing it, causing it to leak. If I didnt have sensors to alert me, I wouldnt have noticed until it was flat and I was stranded somewhere. Went back to have this fixed, but that meant over 6 hours from the time of my appointment until the job was done correctly.Special note: Dayvon at the counter and John in the service area both did their best and really seemed to care about the level of service being provided. Unfortunately, they did not have enough support from their management and corporate teams.

What can I say good prices but Service was less than stellar. Employees complaining about having to do thier jobs, stuck following rules that did nothing but slow thier day down. I guess what you would expect for a Walmart. Up side 4 new tires at a good price.

No one showed up to open until 7:15. Manager starts every conversation as if its a confrontation. Multiple employees standing around ringing phone never picking it up and joking to each other about not answering. Witness two incidents of the tech damaging something on the car while I was waiting.

This place is sooooo busy all the time, I couldnt even get in there. I had to go elsewhere. A friend purchased two tires the day before, but he couldnt get them put on for 3 or 4 hours later, so he bought the tires, and went down the road to have them put on.

It was great. No wait and the price is right. Synthetic Oil change n filter inc tax $ 47

Had my tires changed there yesterday and this morning my husband noticed that a lug nut was missing. He went there this morning about it and they told him that they told me and I denied getting it fixed. That is a downright lie! No one said a word to me about it. Waiting on the names of who told him that lie and will officially complain

I came in last minute and they were able to help change my tire.They also price match and the front desk lady was super nice and great considering how late I came in and how busy they were. The tech was soo nice. Ps if a Wal-Mart tire service front desk employee is reading this Im the one with the son who was starting basketball🙂🏀Thank you Yvonne☺

Quick, cheap and adequate but lacking full mechanics services.

Ive never been to another Walmart Auto Center with better customer service. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and prompt. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone :-)

Fast service buying tires

Had my master key to my car copied, months later when my key broke the copy didnt work and cost me $240 to replace!. If Wal-Mart can not copy keys correctly then dont do bad business!

Terrible. The phone is never answered even when they have the staff on hand to answer it. Only one time Ive called the stores Auto Care Center its been answered, and Ive called several times over a period of several different issues with my car. This is not acceptable.On top of this, wait times are astronomical - Over two hours wait time for a tire patch was estimated... Not even that, but the actual time it took to patch a tire was over FOUR, going on FINE solid hours!
