Where do I start, with a great experience from Richard at marsh Harbour Marina. I have a 32 foot sea ray that I do a lot of my own maintenance. However I had outdrive maintenance that I needed and knew there were other issues involved. Richard not only took care of the issues that I asked him to fix with great value and price, but he also fixed other items along the way both at a reasonable cost and adjustments made with no additional cost. Richard has earned my business, as long as I own a boat.
A family run business backed with technical expertise, dependable service, and honesty. Dave has maintained my Whaler Conquest with Merc 250’s for three years with annual services and upgrades. I wouldn’t trust my boat to any other. He can be relied upon to quickly diagnose and repair an issue while minimizing costs. His knowledge, commitment to customer service, and work ethics give me the confidence on the water that my boat is running at its best. I highly recommend Marsh Harbor. They exceed expectations.
First time user of this facility. Highly recommend. Dave did a fantastic job in getting my boat service completed. Will definitely come back with all my boat service needs.
Marsh Harbor Marina is indeed the best marine maintenance business I have ever been to. Richard and his family have an awesome business, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, accessible, trustworthy and honest! From the first time I ever was there I had no apprehension. Always let me know what was happening, worked hard for us and did a great job! Everything was above board. Went in with a major issue, came out like a brand new boat! Always showed me the broken parts! Takes care of his customers boats like they are his own! Great decision. Thank you Richard and staff!
Dave quickly diagnosed and repaired my Yamaha’s in less than a week. He text me detailed photos and explanations as he worked on my boat and delivered on time.Best service experience I’ve had at a marina in a long time.
The owner Richard is a total professional and the marina is immaculate. After the disappointing realization that my boat needed two new engines I reached out to Richard and he was up front and honest. I handed him a huge punch list of what I wanted done in addition to re-powering the boat. He performed it all meticulously and in a timely manner.I have absolutely no problem referring people to Marsh Harbor Marine. Take it from a retired Master Mechanic, they know what they are doing! We had a sign in my shop that said, Good work isnt cheap and cheap work isnt Good! If you are looking for top notch service, and want your boat fixed correctly the first time, then look no further. They should be the only call you will need to make. The boat is performing better than I could have expected. Thanks Richard!
From the moment I met with Richard with regard to rebuilding two 8.1L engines, and replacing a 7.5KW generator, I knew that I was dealing with a highly professional organization that prides itself on exceeding expectations. They exceeded expectations with regard to quality of work, expertise, professionalism, timeliness, and cost. Richard was very helpful in advising on how to save on cost with great recommendations, adding to their credibility. I am extremely happy with the work, and totally in awe with our recent sea trail! The new bottom job looks great, and Im sure contributed to the awesome performance we noted during the sea trail! Seriously! She ran better than NEW!I highly recommend Marsh Harbor Marina! Thank you Richard and Team!
Professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Two day turnaround on general engine maintenance and engine repairs. Dave Marsh and his team quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem I was having with my Mercury Verado 350, and then explained in detail the repairs. Good family-owned business.
Highly recommend. They are very professional, trustworthy. Send you pics and vids of the problem with engine and do the same when it is repaired. I have a 2000 Yamaha 250hp and will only take it here for repairs and maintenance.
I saw a 5.0 Google rating which i’ve never seen before so i had high expectations- and they far exceeded them. This is honestly the best run repair business I’ve ever been to. It’s family run and they treat you like that, maybe better! Dave is amazing. They had my major repair (boat 1/2 sunk) done well before it was promised and price was less than i was expecting. Take a look at the shop and it’s immaculate - that’s how they run their business.
Professional, reliable, knowledgeable, quick turnaround, fair prices.
Top notch. Helped me out with a issue we had at the start of our day and got us back on the water. First class people and first class service truly best of the best.
This is a local family owned business. I have used them two different times now for two different boats and both times they have exceeded my expectations. Very fast, friendly, fair and courteous. I will use them for all of my boat repairs moving forward. 5 stars
Dave, and his crew did a fantastic job. I took my boat down to another shop and waited weeks for a diagnostic that was incorrect. Dave, took my boat and within four days I had it back, as good as new. He gave me a fair price with high-quality work. I would highly recommend Marsh Harbor Marine. Thank you Dave and team!—Todd
Excellent service. They have been servicing our boats for about 10 years. We never have an issue. When they fix it, it is fixed. Sometime while it is still on the trailer in the parking lot. We heartily endorse Marsh Harbor Marine.
These guys are the absolute hands down best boat service shop in the area. Quick, accurate and fair. Dave and Richard know what they are doing. I highly recommend them to all my boating friends.
Dave, and his crew did a fantastic job. I took my boat down to another shop and waited weeks for them to fix my problem and they didnt fixed my problem just created more problems. Dave, took my boat and within 3 weeks I had it back, as good as new. We picked it up and went out on the water that same night and we had a minor issue and we called Dave and it was 5:00 which we didnt think he would answer because everyone needs to go home at the end of the day but he answered and asked the what the problem was and he walked us through over the phone what it may be but then he said I will jump in my boat and come to you and he came and fixed the problem and we all went on our way. This is OUTSTANDING customer service. Dave and his team are wonderful, love knowing that we have an outstanding local company that we can trust. I would highly recommend Marsh Harbor Marine. Thank you Dave and team!
Over the past 5 years I have been using Dave at Marsh Harbor Marina for maintenance and repair of my twin 2001 Yamaha outboards. The service and knowledge has always been excellent and the pricing more than fair! I finally decided to re-power my boat and Dave handled that as well. He told me it would take about 3 weeks and he had it done and me on the water in less than 2 weeks! Most importantly, the work was first class and the price was as quoted. I am happy to highly recommend Dave Marsh and the crew at Marsh Harbor Marina!
Dave has been amazing every step of the way. He is honest and helpful which is exactly what I needed as a first time boat owner. He goes the extra mile to look out for his customers. Only place I will ever take my boat!
As someone who has lived in the area for over a decade, I am confident in saying that these guys are the most skilled, most honest, and most reliable marine mechanics in the region and probably in the state. Marsh Harbor is a family-owned and run operation. Richard Marsh does the I/O work, and his brother does a lot of the outboard work. Im an I/O guy, and finding a solid I/O specialist around here is not always easy. If you have an old school performance boat like I do, you need a good I/O mechanic on speed dial. I am a guy who can turn my own wrench on a lot of small-to-moderate jobs, but when the heavy work really comes in I would not trust my boat to anyone else. I have used Marsh Harbor for multiple major, high-stakes projects and the work has been performed perfectly every time. I recommend highly and without reservation.
Finally after years of mediocre marinas Ive found a place that shares my desire for quality work and customer service. I called about a battery issue on the Friday before a holiday weekend. Dave said bring it in were covered up but we will get it done and they did. Very professional location with a clean and well organized shop. Happy to find a trustworthy marine technician.
I have been using Marsh Harbor Marina exclusively since buying a 2016 Intrepid with twin 350 HP Mercury Verado engines. They do all the recommended scheduled maintenance on the engines along with providing and/or coordinating several other services for the boat. Marsh has always been thorough and detail oriented whether it is their workmanship or paperwork related to quotes and work orders. They always work hard to meet commitments or communicate effectively when things do not work out according to the plan. They have always gone above and beyond to take care of me. I cannot say enough good things about them!
Took our 40’ boat for engine repair work. How lucky we were to find this great Marina to do our repair work. Richard was totally helpful and professional. If you need any kind of repair work Marsh Marine is the place to go. Many thanks for a job well done!Ed & Theresa Woodland
Hands down the best small marine facility in the Bradenton area. Work is done on time, the boat is always clean when the work is finished (very rare these days in my experience) and the communication with Dave is first class. You dont get surprises when the bill arrives. I wont be taking my Everglades anywhere else. Thanks Guys.
Excellence work on my boat, did full engine replacements. Shop and entire work area were organized and clean, and so was all the work done to my boat Great marina
Recently had our 28 SeaRay engine repaired by Richard and Team. They did an outstanding job and the boat runs like new. They answered all my questions and shared exactly what work was required. They completed all repairs in a very professional manner and made sure everything was running at top performance before releasing the boat back to us . I will continue to confidently support Marsh Harbor Marina for all future repairs and scheduled maintenance work.
Great business run by a wonderful family, fast, friendly and honest service.Really awesome people at this business !! 👍🏻👍🏻
Marsh Harbor Marina was recommended to us by a neighbor and we couldn’t have been happier to have had them work on a variety of issues we had with our boat. Richard kept in contact with us throughout the process of getting our boat back up and running again. They exceeded our expectations throughout the entire repair process and our boat is running like it’s brand new. We Can’t thank them enough for getting us back on the water again. We would highly recommend them to anyone needing service on their boat. Dan & Jodi Rice
This is a great place to go and have your boat worked on. Their staff are all certified mechanics forvajy motor and the customer service and professionalism is impressive. The Marinas communicate with you on what needs to be done and the best way of going about it more than anyone would hope for.I have had all the work on my last three boats done without disappointment at this Marina and will continue to do business with them as long as Im on the water.
After using different mechanics over three months to chase down an overheating issue on my inboard motor, I took it to Marsh Harbor Marina. Richard called me the next day as he had resolved the issues. From then on, I have used Marsh Harbor for all my boating needs and have recommended them to many fellow boaters. We all agree that Richard and Dave are extremely knowledgable and provide professional, quality service at a fair price.
Phenomenal people to work with every time. They do incredible work for a fair price, while also being punctual. Good marine work is hard to find but they have it down to a science. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!
I had my boat towed to Marsh Harbor Marina after business hours and tied off at their location over night. I returned in the morning and spoke with the owner about the issue I was having, within an hour he had my boat up and running. I decided to have my annual service done as well. They were more than fair on price and I had my boat back in less than two days! I will be a repeat customer.
Awesome staff and excellent quality of work. Had an issue on a holiday weekend while on the water and Dave was quick to fix it. Highly recommended!
Dave is a true expert and professional. An expert in that no matter what issue I bring him he has the experience and knowledge to resolve it quickly and efficiently. The professionalism of someone you can rely on. I had a simple electrical issue this AM (Memorial Weekend). Dave took the time over the phone to help me work the issue and resolve it. Marsh Harbor is a great great family owned business. Please consider coming to see them. Andy Gerth (18’ Egret)
My 31-year-old inboard needed a LOT of work, and Marsh Harbor handled it perfectly. Kept me informed, gave advice on best practices and recommendations for additional work, but never pushed anything. Richard was my primary tech and point-of-contact and he was superb! While I hope not to need them again anytime soon, I wont hesitate to use them again if need be. Anyone in the Tampa Bay area needing quality boat work at a fair price should check with Marsh Harbor.
After experiencing a couple of shade tree, less than honest or ridiculously overpriced others to work on my boat I was thankful to find Marsh Harbor. Richard was a breath of honest - no BS - fresh air. From meeting me after hours to secure boat to explaining every option along the way, keeping me up to date as things progressed to seeing me off after work was completed - every part of my experience with him was legit, honest and caring. He is a true professional who cares about and takes pride in what he is doing. He replaced two inboard motors, transmission seals and a drive shaft seal exactly as he said he would and in the time frame given. He was cost conscious where it made sense and reused many parts others assumed replacing. The boat has run great for a year now with no issues. Highly recommend him.
Always diagnose correctly and get my boat back to me as quickly as possible!! My time in florida is valuable being that Im only here 6 months a year.Marsh is the only place I bring my boat and Mercury motor for repairs period!!!6 years so far so goodthanks again guys
Dave Marsh was great to deal with. He was honest and did everything he said he would do. It is hard to come by great people like this.Thank you Marsh Marina!
They are a wonderful business. Really super folks that do great work. Highly recommend these guys.
Great service, follow thru and communication. Helped me out with a bad motor issue at the start of my vacation. Identified the issue on a weekend after hours. Gave me options quickly and had me repowered with a 200 mph Yamaha in 4 days. Saved my vacation! Highly recommend.
I have been having my boat serviced by Dave for the past 5 years and I highly recommend his expertise to anyone. I have never been disappointed on any of the work he has done. When it comes to Outboard Engines he is the best in the businessClaude ThomasPalmetto
We have used Marsh Harbor Marina now on several occasions and we are repeatedly thrilled with the service they provide. Weve had them do bottom paint, repair work, warranty work, and maintenance. The guys at Marsh are knowledgeable, helpful, honest, and truly care about their service.
I HAVE BEEN BOATING IN FLORIDA FOR 30 YEARS. I HAVE DEALT WITH QUITE A FEW MARINE MECHANICS OVER THE YEARS. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED SUCH OUTSTANDING SERVICE AS I HAVE FROM DAVE MARSH, HE IS EXCEPTIONAL. THE SERVICE IS PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL AND AFFORDABLY PRICED. THANKS DAVE !!!
Did an awesome job on engine service and getting a few odd jobs repaired! Also excellent boat detailing done..... highly recommend! Thanks Dave
These guys are the real deal. When I purchased a used boat, both the previous owner and my broker (who has 3 boats serviced at Marsh Habor Marina) recommended them. I wasted a lot of time and money before I got smart and followed their advice.First, the place is immaculate. Ive been in boat yards that looked abandoned. Everything here is neat and orderly. Shows real pride in their work.Second, they do repairs, not fixes. They work hard to diagnose the problem and apply the correct repair, instead of just throwing replacements parts at it. I had a fuel flow problem. Richard install pressure gauges in the lines and then test drove the boat to accurately diagnose the problem.Third, every time I arrive to pick-up the boat after service, he has all the replaced parts laid out. They go over all the issues they found and thoroughly describe the work done.I drive my boat from the near the Tampa Airport to Marsh Habor (often on one engine) because I know theyll do the work right and give me no BS advice on the boat. They are worth every mile.
Richard Marsh and his team were amazing. We had two seized Mercruiser 7.4L engines in our Cruisers 3870 boat. He worked with us to salvage parts from those engines and then guided us on the best option for replacing the core engines. He installed the engines and they work great. He beat his budget estimate and included some free parts and labor for things he felt needed to be replaced. We are very pleased with Richard Marsh and Marsh Harbor Marine. He will help you mechanically, financially and emotionally through the engine replacement process.John and Cathy Breen
I have been in the Marine industry for a very long time and let me tell you these are great people to know!
Honest, efficient and family owned. I trust my boat to Marsh Harbor Marina for all service and repairs!
I cant say enough about this marina! I recently went on a trip to the Bradenton YC and on the way my boat was overheating. I limped in at very slow speed. Since this facility was so close, I asked if they could help me out. They advised that they were very busy, but since i was in a bind and was so far from home port (Port Charlotte), They offered to take a quick look to see if it was something simple. Thankfully it was and the problem was caught by Richard, after poking around in a hot engine compartment. Since no actual repair took place he denied compensation of any kind. He sent me on my way, and the boat ran fine all the way home! So refreshing to find kind honest folks like him. I heartily recommend this facility!
Dave Marsh does a wonderful job. Upfront, concise, on time. Dave recently serviced our Boston Whaler 285 Conquest. It was a very easy process, and my wife and I are thoroughly happy with our service experience. I would highly recommend Marsh Harbor Marina.Jeff Reneer, Bradenton,FL
They took very good care of my boat with the new helm My boat feels brand new and they went above and beyond by cleaning it before I got it very happy with the service will be returning for more work down the road
I had an issue with my trim motor. Spoke with David, he said bring the boat any time, call me when you arrive and I will help you dock your boat. We sat down and went over the details including annual tune up. He said if the trim motor was in stock from Yamaha it should only take a few days. He keeps his word, boat was completed in 2 1/2 days. Cant say enough about this operation. Thanks guys
Dave and the crew at Marsh Harbour Marina are the best in town. Honesty, integrity and highest quality work. No other mechanic I would trust.Captain Jon Green
Heard they do excellent work talk to the owner today seem like a very very nice guy very knowledgeable
I have used them twice...once for a belt on my mercury 400r and also the second time for something simple...David and his Dad are first class..and both times are on a Saturday...I am from Bartow..and I will drive to see them anytime...thanks for the awesome service..keep it up!!
Knowledgeable and thorough. Will go there again the next time my old boat needs help
“I hate my boat”. That is more or less how it started before I met Richard and the crew at Marsh Harbor. Since then he has gotten our boat to once again be the joy we had before a few problems normal for salt water boats. The knowledgeable staff is friendly and never makes you feel like you are asking a stupid question. I can tell you that I trust the folks at Marsh Harbor without question. They have done a lot of work for me and I never once felt they took advantage of me financially. I can’t recommend them enough. They will always be the service facility of choice for my boats.
Their technicians are the best talent available in the upper 48. Injector service is lightning fast, very reasonably priced, and extremely reliable. Huge parts availability, fast shipping, and you get to talk with the sweetest lady in Florida, Judy Marsh.
Great service. Friendly staff. I had my boat in for service and they did exactly what the advised they would. Showed me the parts that need to be replaced and delivered during the time frame they mentioned. Rich really took care of me. I highly recommend for any boat services.
Very wonderful people i am so impressed i met dave the owner about a month ago had trouble with my engine and he worked on it then i took it out today first still had a problem kinda the same issue he came out in the water way and got us and because i rented a truck too get in the water he stop what he had going on and in three hours he had me fixed and now my engine purrs like a kitten thank dave and your family i wish all the success and i will always have u as my mechanic because u care thank u again
Took my 20 year old Chris Craft I/O cuddy to Marsh harbor to get manifolds replaced and to get detailed. I listened to the recommendations of other Captains I trusted. Marsh Marina did an exceptional job at a reasonable cost. They fixed minor stuff that they found. The boat looks and runs like new. It is difficult to find people to work on an I/o in this area. I would recommend Richard without reservation. And I will be taking my boat back there for its annual maintenance and if I have any future problems.
Best marina on Gulf Coast. Experienced and professional. Have had nothing less than excellent service and repairs.
Ive been bring my boat (Volvo Penta engine) here for several years. Family owned business. Excellent service and most importantly, honest. Prices are in line with other reputable marine mechanics.
The marsh family has done a outstanding job. They repaired all the mistakes that manatee mobile made on my boat. Boat runs great and I feel safe with my family on the water.
Dave and the crew at Marsh Harbor Marina finally fixed my 2016 mercury 60 four stroke that another so-called mercury dealer didnt or couldnt. I highly recommend them to every mercury owner.
October, 2015...I hope this account of my recent experiences will provide confidence and peace of mind to anyone considering using Marsh Harbor Marina. I have also provided a review on Yelp with some additional detail since Google has a smaller limit of what you can post.My first experience with MHM came with I was helping a friend with diagnosing his outboard. Our limited troubleshooting capabilities had us focusing on a mechanical issue. After money, time, and aggravation spent, we went to sea trail our repair. 2 minutes into our sea trial we realized our efforts did not fix the issue. We were limping back to the boat ramp from Terra Ceia Bay, when we passed MHM; it was around 4 PM. We both looked at each other and we just knew, we needed someone with more expertise to address. It was the end of the day, so our expectations were not very high about being my buddy being able to use the boat for the upcoming weekend. We docked the boat and went to the office and were greeted by Dave. We knew it was the end of the day and we showed up without an appointment. Dave was very friendly and accommodating and allowed us to explain what was wrong which included a ridiculous attempt to mimic the sound that the engine made. Dave said, I think I might know what that is. You mind if I take a look. Dave popped the engine cover and asked us to start it; within seconds he identified the problem. Once identified he took the time to explain that this was a common issue with the Mercruiser outboards, and that the parts he used were 2nd generation that address the initial design flaw. He had the part in stock and without us needing to ask, replace the part. The whole visit took about 25 minutes.... I was so impressed with the level of customer service, I asked if they worked on stern drives. Hes said, thats my brother Richard; hes the expert on stern drive boats. While I was there I asked about their maintenance and tune-up services. He explained that they have a 1-year and 3-year service. I explained that I recently purchased used my boat (a 2006 with 75 hours) had never been properly serviced since it came off the showroom floor.5 miles out on a beautiful Sunday morning, my engine alarm panel when of like a winning slot machine. An hour later, I was being towed back by SEA-TOW; my luck had run out. As I was experiencing the tow-of-shame, I called MHM to see if I could have SEA-TOW leave it there. The office phone, rolled-over to a cell phone, and I left a message that I was being towed and asked permission to leave my boat in one of MHMs wet slips. Within 5 minutes of leaving my voice message, my phone rang. It was Richard from MHM. Remember, this was on a Sunday around noon. Richard told me that it was not problem and to leave the boat there and well he would take care of it. When SEA-TOW arrived at MHM, to my disbelief, there was Richard standing on the dock. He explained he didnt want my boat in the salt water over night. So he came down to get my boat out of the water. He allowed me to ramble on about what I thought the issues were and want I wanted done. He was patient, professional, and he told me not to worry. He explained what he was going to do and how long he estimated that the work would take and the cost. He even asked if I needed a ride back to my car.... All of this on a Sunday! When I arrived to pick up the boat, Richard went over the work completed he asked me if I would like to have any of the old parts that he replaced. He also took me into the shop and explained in detail each replaced part, what it did and how it ended up in the condition it was. On a side note, the items included on the 3-year maintenance that I elected to have performed were 1000% worth the investment. Richard is simply a trusted professional.I ABSOLUTELY without hesitation would recommend Marsh Harbor Marina for anyone who needs maintenance or repair. Richard and Dave are not only my new boating trusted advisors, they both are knowledgeable professionals with excellent customer service record.
Best mercury mechanics in area!
The owner meet me with a smile. Explained what was needed and gave me direct answers to my questions.
They were very reliable, reasonable, professional, and in a very timely manner.
Great company
