Had a great experience. Zach was very polite and helped us understand everything that we needed to know. Hes crew was helpful and polite also. We had no problems with the boat. Very smooth trip to shell island and back. We had a full day but decided to return back for a half day and they refunded our money back no problems at all. Scotty is awesome and a joy to deal with. The young men that take care of the boats are polite and always very helpful. Of all the boat rentals we have used, Scottys is by far the best!

Zack made our reservation and was really easy to talk to and ask questions. Scotty was there to check us in, go over the boat, the rules, the area, answer questions. He was just terrific. Very friendly. The four young men that helped us on the boat with our cooler and all our stuff were just great. Very professional, friendly, helpful. Give them a big tip! Highly recommend. Great experience from beginning to end.

These guys are awesome! My family and I rented from another company and got a message this morning of mechanical failure no boats available. We called Scotty and he had one! Best decision ever! Friendly and helpful staff. We rented a pontoon boat for the entire day. Everyone had a great time! Next time, well spend the extra money and get a bigger boat with more horsepower. Still a good time on shell island.

I would definitely recommend these guys. They were very accommodating with our dogs. They gave us lots information about where to go and not to go. We had a great time!

Fabulous time. I called the evening before, spoke with a friendly, helpful person, was able to easily secure a boat for a half day morning. Everything was included in the price quotes where another company charged for insurance. When we arrived, they were ready for us, reviewed everything, providing a suggested route and map, happily provided a bit more instruction for us as we were first time pontooners. The young men that showed us around the boat and got us going and assisted with our return were so nice, polite. I witnessed them cleaning boats upon our return and they were working hard! Not a single complaint and had a great time, the only regret was not renting for a whole day!

Small operation, but reasonable pricing. We took a boat out for 4 hrs, went over to shell island and snorkled. Pretty decent experience.

We were on time and so were they. We were leaving and in the water by 9:19 am. Was a quick review of instructions,etc. We had no problems with the pontoon at all. We and our friends from Alabama and Wisconsin had a great time.

We rented a pontoon boat for the day today, all I have to say is EVERYONE at Scottys made our day AWESOME. Rented a 12 person pontoon and had a great experience! Might want to call ahead for directions because the turn comes up quick. We got to our rental early and they let us take off early. No nonsense, it was clean, worked perfectly and policies were straight forward. They have good directions to Shell Island. Employees were nice.

Just left Scotty boat rentals and they were an absolute pleasure to deal with.The boats were in great shape and handled the waves like a champ. We saw dolphins while we were out as well. Big shout out to papa joes boat rental for getting us the upgrade instead of cancelling our booking. I will reccomend both establishments 10/10.

The owner and staff were nice. The boat was like new. We got a 26 ft pontoon boat. I suggest going straight to Shell Island. No point in touring around other than to see some of the homes on the way to shell island. Leave yourself 30 minutes to get back. We barely made it back on time.

Great adventure! We rented the 90HP Pontoon for a full day and had a blast! Exploring shell island and checking out the air force base. We do this every year but first year with Scottys and I like the pontoons the best here. Ladder on the back easy to get up and 90HP is the way to go. Clean and easy to board. Thanks guys! We had a great time with our rental from Scotty! Very educated and helpful staff! I suggest doing a early morning rental or all day, the morning ride out was so much more enjoyable than the ride in at 5. BUT the boat was more than comfortable for all of us and we had an absolute great time!!

Local businesses are supposed to take care of their own locals but instead are rude. And apparently dont know how to explain everything down to a tee to renters. I lost materials into their propeller. Upon calling to speak with someone a person did answer but was very rude.

It would have been five star if our request for military discount had been honored.

I talked to two guys on the phone before we arrived; both were extremely nice and helpful. The off-season (October) pricing for an all-day rental was very reasonable, which helped us make our choice. When we arrived, both guys were friendly as well. The craft was older, but in good repair, and we had a great time. We even saw a couple of dolphins while we were out! I would definitely rent a boat from these guys again :)

Deal with Scotty directly if you can. Some confusion from the employees as to what dates were available. Once that was worked out. Everything else went great. Got a decent 20 foot fishing vessel for the entire day. Much cheaper than a charter and I used my own gps numbers.

Rented a boat from this location three different times so far in 2019. They have GPS trackers on the boat and are unwilling to allow access to the entire Bay Area. They have a very limited space that you can drive and maneuver the boat. Cannot go pass the Hathaway bridge for some crazy reason. Also the last rental that I did, there was no fuel in the boat so we had to call for help. Once helped arrived about a half hour later, they told us that the gauges were just broken and the reason but it kept dying on us was something wrong with the motor. Not the best adventure

Ok if you ever wanna go fishing or out on the water, snorkeling, this place is super laid back guys down to earth extremely helpful. The prices are shockingly accommodating esp if you have more than 2 people going .every year we use them and will continue to go back

Scotty Boat Rentals was a great value ($125 for 4 hours). They are super quick to get you set up, clear on what to do if anything goes wrong, and have well used but fun boats.

I called during a busy weekend last year and asked the price for an all day rental, they had one boat available and I had to hold it with my card, once I arrived the price was $100 more than quoted on the phone. When confronted about it they got very defensive and basically said this is the price and I had reserved and agreed to pay. I had no option but pay and try to enjoy it. Definitely would not recommend.
