I was stationed in Panama City for six years and when I first got to that town I had gone to a dozen shops before I found 231 tattoo and all the shops before 231 were dirty, had bad tattoo work in their profile books, didnt care much about repeat business. When I walked into 231 I was greeted by Dan who is one the tattoo artists there. Once I talked with him I knew I found my artist. I had little work done before going to this shop and everything that was there he fixed and covered up one tattoo I no longer wanted, and I was provided with a range of options on how to cover this up.Dan has given me 2 3/4 sleeves, done both sides of my ribs, and gave me a full back piece. I now live in Ohio and earlier this year drove all the way down there to get my tattoos by this shop. I found a shop that cares about the quality of ink they put on someone and they care about their name behind the tattoo which guarantees good work. I will be returning there again in about 7 months to work on our next project.One of my three quarter sleeves was done in 2010 and the other day I had another artist ask me if it was recently done and thats because the quality of ink they use is amazing. My tattoos all look fresh even with a couple years on them and they do see a moderate amount of sun.Im not sure what someone was talking about when they stated seeing swaztika material on the walls, but Ive been going to this shop frequently since 2007 and there has been no such thing. This is a traditional but professional tattoo shop.If you want peace of mind knowing your tattoos are going to look amazing with great detail, clean lines, sanitary needles, and great color/black and gray work then this is your shop. I know a couple of the artists have over 20 years experience each and it shows through your finished product.

Everyone was great. High quality tattoo work, excellent sound system. TV and comfy couches while you wait and the decor... You could spend a day just looking at all the random stuff on display.

Excellent and professional. Jeff allows you to use a wide range of payment options and if you can image it he can create it in ink. Plenty of room to relax while you wait, appointments not necessary if you wish to get it done then. Friendly staff, pleasant surrounding and a variety of great flashes (art) to choice from. Open from 12 to 8pm during week, from 12 to 10pm on Friday and Saturday which gives you plenty of time to acquire ink. Closed Sunday to do maintenance...I really enjoy visiting and acquiring new ink and have made a lot of new friends while there. Prices are another good point, resonable and cost is not high like most shops in area. I would give this shop 5 stars out of 5. Have used it on all 18 out of 20 tattoos I have..

This place is truly something else. The staff is extremely friend and knowledgable in their craft. Not only did they make me feel comfortable but provide sound advice to my idea/concept. If your searching for a place that will tend to your every tattoo desire, this is the place to be. Dan, Jeff, and the entire staff are all genuine and you will not regret going here. Came here to get a tattoo after many frustrating explanations of what I wanted to others they got it on the first try, did exactly what I wanted and how I wanted it, it ended up looking exactly like I had imagined! He did an amazing job with the shading! My husband got his ear pierced and the guy that does those was awesome as well, he didnt have any problems with his ear! Super friendly staff, very reasonable pricing I give this place a two thumbs up and will be back soon for more!

I loved this place!! When we pulled up I wasnt sure if they might be a little rough around the edges for the feminine delicate tattoo I wanted. But Wesley nailed it!! And his artists touch made it even more beautiful than I expected. It turned out the place is filled with teddy bears and we left feeling like family! We will definitely be back!

Maybe even making up for the chicken scratch 3rd grade script on my shoulder.After that second disappointment, I decided NO MORE TATTOOS....UNTIL....231Tattoos. I decided to try ONE MORE TIME. That was when PERFECT showed up.I got one, and it was perfect. Nothing is ever perfect, but it was perfect in my eyes, because I got exactly what I asked for!!! The lines were clean and precise. I must admit, I was sold. One, clean, perfectly lined Tibetan writing, the establishment was clean, not to mention....the people were friendly, personable, and nice.The AWESOME thing is....they CARE. They care that their customers are happy. They CARE that you get what you want. They dedicate their time and creative abilities to cater to whatever your mind can conceive.I felt bad for bombarding them with ideas until they said they could make it work. And they did. Actually, it was so good, so awesome, that I had them do cover ups for me and trusted that they would create the look I wanted. And to my surprise, they did. And more. Everyone was friendly from the time the door opened! Rob did 4 for me, 1 pic below, and is doing my husbands chest piece tomorrow. I will recommend Rob over anyone else in P.C or PCB. Thanks dude! I love it!

Walked in just looking to get an idea for prices and time. Walked out with an appointment for the next day. My initial thought on the place was it is very clean and welcoming. Doc and I went thru a few ideas of what I wanted done and assured me that it could be done the way I would like it. Fast forward to today....as soon as I pulled up to the shop everything was set up and ready to go. Hands down the most rewarding tattoo experience Ive had so far. I dont need to go anywhere else to get my work done.

Bad ass environment, down to earth tattoo artist

I stopped by on a Saturday about 2pm when google and their front door said they would be open. There was no one there. I came to show an example of what I wanted and to get a quote. I suggest calling ahead to see if they are there.

This was a first time tattoo for me and at age 61 no less!! I totally love it and the guys that work here. Dan did my tattoo and Amil did my friends and they were extremely professional! We laughed so much that I hardly noticed the needle sticks.....I cant wait to go back and get an island and water under my palm tree....Thanks Dan!!!!!

I went in looking for a tongue ring and was sent to a dusty cardboard display. All of the tongue rings were poked into the filthy cardboard and to find out the size of the jewelery, you had to pull each ring out. Jewelry items are supposed to be kept in a case, not out in the open for everyone to put their hands all over. That is incredibly unsanitary. Before I left, a gentleman that was just freshly inked was let to walk out without the tattoo being covered. Ive been to several tattoo and piercing shops, and I have to say this one is by far the worst. Id let all my piercings close before I purchase anything from this place

I am upset. If it would let me I wont give them one star. Wont recommend them to my friends and family. I went to get my work of art I did back do to I found out doc passed away, and was told they could not give it to me back. That not right. It has nothing to do with there art. Wont go there ever again. And anyone who give them ur art to get ur tattoo done with them make sure this doesnt happen to u. This is so messed up.

Both of my first tattoo experiences were a disaster. Checked out the reviews for 231 Tattoo and went and talked to the guys there. Friendly people, eager to help out. Got a Celtic Knot done and came out great. Will go back again.

Worst customer service experience ever. They would not serve my best friend because she was a lesbian. Really? What the hell dude? I do not recommend them to any0ne.

I wouldnt even give this place one star if it was an option. The tattoos that are done at this place are far from professional. The linework is garbage and the rest of the ratio follows suit. They somehow take pride in the tragic artwork they permanently put on peoples bodies. They also promote self body piercing by selling a DIY kit so you can go home to an unsterile environment and pierce yourself or others with no proper knowledge of what is being done. I went into the shop to see about getting a tattoo with a friend and the staff was very arrogant and rude to us. They also wanted to charge double what it cost to get it done at a higher in professional shop. I would never recommend this shop to anyone for any reason. But dont just go on my review, look at their portfolios for yourself, they are terrible.

Worst tattoo shop ever. My tattoo was done wrong. I did everything I was suppose. To they re did my tattoo but refused to do the who tattoo. I will not ever go back their. They even messed up my husband tattoo. And forgot to put hes date under the tattoo but we was so mad we said hell will it and lefted.

Had my second tattoo done tonight. Not only do they do awesome work, they are very friendly and professional. I had a vague idea of what I wanted and they helped me truly figure it out. I wont go anywhere else for a tattoo.
