This is my second time here and everything Ive tried so far has been great! The shrimp and grits is excellent, with grilled, almost blackened shrimp. The blue ribbon chicken is crispy, juicy and delicious, plus the pieces are enormous.Thank you to all the servers who go out of their way to make sure you are well taken care of. Saturday night we were surprised with live country music! Great place

When I tell you that this Pofolks is good.You will not be disappointed.I came from warner robins,GA to try this location because ours closed years ago, and its just as good as I remember.The young lady that was I waitress was the definition of customer service.The food was cooked to perfection and everything was seasoned right.Food was hot and fresh.My experience here for me and my family was wonderful.

I was excited about the chicken fried steak but it tasted like frozen from a bag. So disappointed. My mom got the fried chicken and loved it. The waitress was nice.

The food was hot and tasty. The service was good. The prices were very competitive. Frankly, I was shocked that the prices were so low. The inside area was very clean. My only negative was it took a long time to be seated, between 20 - 25 minutes.

Such a great restaurant! Great food and so inexpensive! We did a party of 15 and the staff was amazing! Bridget gave us the best experience weve ever had anywhere. She was exceptional and the food was the best! I cant say enough about Pofolks! Go! Experience it with your family!

Went for lunch with sister. Good service. Ordered chicken and dumplings. Dumplings were gummy. Good tea.

Extremely disappointed in this this establishment. When we first arrived, we waited almost 10 minutes to be seated due to the waiter being more concerned with organizing the menus and ignoring us than taking a minute to seat us and go back to what he was doing. First red flag that the customer is not a priority. After we were seated he took our drink orders right away yet took almost 15 minutes to come back to our table (after bringing our drinks) to take our order. We ordered an appetizer and were also ready to order our entrees but weren’t give the chance. As soon as we told him the appetizer he disappeared for another 15 minutes. We saw him again, ordered our food, where I clearly stated three times that we wanted brown gravy because we don’t eat white gravy, he even repeated it back to me. When our food finally came out, he brought white gravy and the order for my boyfriend was wrong. He ordered red beans and rice as one of his sides and got gravy and rice instead. When we finally flagged the waiter down, after waiting far too long, yet again, we told him what was wrong. He brought a bowl of brown gravy out and lied to us stating his red beans and rice was still cooking and that’s why he didn’t get it. After we were almost done he brought the red beans and rice out and it looked absolutely disgusting. They must have microwaved it or something. It was crust on the edges and you could tell it was old by the look of the rice. The macaroni and cheese had the nastiest after taste, like it had been sitting in a warmer all day and wasn’t even hot when it arrived at the table, along with my cabbage. I’m not a fan of hot fried food but cold sides. We will never return to this restaurant as it had been a year since we visited previously and were disgusted at that time. No more chances for PoFolks, I have no desire to pay for food poisoning.

Things on menu they dont have but dont tell you till 15 minutes after order placed. Slow service from server acts like doing us a favor to take our order we have been sitting for 30 minutes after first ordering still no sign of our order we were first to order but other tables have been served will not ever ever return to this place bob baker

Husband and I both had beef tips and rice. Not good. Will not be returning.

Best chicken in town along with potatoes and gravy. My best friend used to eat your chicken every week😀

This is a great PoFolks location. We were seated very quickly and the waitress was very quick to get to our table. The food came out extremely fast and extremely hot! You get quite a bit of food for the money. Highly recommend!

Fried chicken, cabbage🥬, breadstick, and pork chop were good. Macaroni and cheese was terrible like most other restaurants. All of that was $10 so pretty good value.Service was friendly but inattentive. Appetizer plates were cleared when entrees arrived and drink refills had to be requested.

It is SO hot every time we go. Not sure why AC cant be fixed. Food is great. Staff are nice.

First time trying location of NEW PoFolks. I was thrilled, lot of good tasting food for a more than reasonable price. For 2 great early dinners was little less than $30. Including 2 ice teas. I will be back soon.

The food was good, but their on line ordering is a joke. Ordered an hour early, got there and the food wasnt ready, and they werent crowded. Another woman was waiting when I got there and she got her food first, the manager came out and apologized and compd her free dessert for the wait. 3 walk ins came in, ordered and got their food before me. I never got an apology from the manager, much less a comp, but I found out the other woman was a regular who the manager knew. So if you want take out, forget their on line ordering and call. And unless you are a regular, expect no apologies for incorrect orders or delays. This was the last time I will go to this establishment.

I used to go to the original when it was located across from Cordova Mall. It was great then and is great now. Awesome southern country cooking.

We had the fried chicken, it was fried to perfection. Slow service. Short of staff.

My husbands baked potato was served to us completely rotten. They took it back. My potato salad had hair in it. I had to ask for bbq sauce 3 times before I got it. We waited far too long for our check. Our first visit. Will probably be our last. Very disappointed. We went on Sunday July 25 at 4pm

If I could give it 0 stars I would. I ordered an order of chicken tendered. They were flat pieces of chicken. They were like trying to eat thin pieces of breaded rubber. I will never order food from here again.

Very sticky table even after cleaning it. Everything took a long time, getting a refill of water was a task. The fried chicken was great but the greens were awful.

Service was amazing despite being busy. No wait. Food was phenomenal!! Coming back again! Every thing was perfect.Cheaper than Cracker Barrel for 5 people. I got the whitefish platter. Fish was tender & flaky. Absolutely wonderful.

I love everything about this location. Something that has always particularly interested me is their wooden Florida that welcomes you whenever you walk inside. The food, selection, and staff are all fantastic here. Its the beat possible way to experience Po Folks.

Grandmas fried chicken was delicious! I forgot about PoFolks and hadnt been since they were located by the hospital. Went with a friend for lunch and everything was good. Service was great!

Excellent food and the menu is very unique stands out from the rest. Their waiters and staff are very thorough and make sure you are well taken care of. If you want some good eating with some good ole southern flair along with seeing relics from the past this is the place to go to.

The friend chicken my husband ordered was completely undercooked and bloody on the inside.... also my chicken friend steak was soggy and honestly disgusting..

Food and service was great and the prices too!

First I called 3 times before I arrived, once I got there we had to wait 30 mins cool no issue ... I have a hungry 4 and 2 yr old that wait 30 mins without an issue and then we see people who come in after us get seated, after about 45 mins go by and this older lady sweet as can be was sitting next to me as she sees the kids start fussing and says I called almost a hour and a half ago and they gave my table away as I was getting my sister who also was older as well out the car and in her chair !! After watching at least 4 familys I know came in after us I then asked for the manager who gave me the Most horrible face because I asked for her !!!The worst service ever !!

I am usually a Po Folks fan, but today I am definitely not. I had placed a to go order, supposed to be ready in 20-25 min. 45 min later, get my order and its all wrong. Ordered 2 two piece Grandmas chicken, dark, mashed potatoes with white gravy and okra on one, got a piece of white meat(breast) 1 dark piece, mashed potatoes with brown gravy and green beans. The second one again dark, git white, okra, got green beans. Very very unhappy

I made my visit after lunch and before dinner crowds. The staff is very friendly and made my visit feel like I was amongst friends! The menu from my perspective is large and there are a lot of different choices. I ordered the classic chicken fried steak and got a double order but I should have only gotten one I was so full by the end of my meal.I would recommend this place if you were looking for a country kitchen.

My husband and I went in 01/04/2021. @ 3:00p. He ordered the seafood combo I ordered the country fried steak mashed potatoes, greens and a salad we had fried tomatoes for the appetizer. And two teas. We were able to get one refill. The portions were very small. The fried tomatoes were cold and tasteless. We had to wait quite some time for our food to come. Mine was cold . I could not even melt butter in my mashed potatoes. :( My husband got sick from his meal and was in bed or the bathroom the rest of the day.) When I tried to ask the waitress for condiments she snapped at me and told me she had to get somebody elses order first (which she had not even started taking yet) Id have to wait. We wont go back. The young ladies at the front desk where were very nice that is the best part I can say about the whole experience

This place is usually nice but today was disappointing. I went to the hostess and notified her that a party of 15 would be coming. She very rudely rolled her eyes and said Youre going to have to wait. We fully expected to wait due to the size of our group. But she was so rude about it that we decided to go somewhere else that actually wanted our business. Wed just picked up my brother from the airport, whos been working out of the country for months. He wanted to go there cause thats our family spot. But not anymore after she treated us.

We went there pre covid and swore we would never go back but we did. On this recent trip the food was good but Service was still a cluster if you know what I mean. Starting with the hostess all the way to the waitress, kitchen and checkout. I guess this will have been our final meal there.

Only fewl staff wore masks & monroe them practiced social distance. They dont take American Express & thats the only card we use. Waited over 15 minutes for them to take our order. The waiter brought our boxes to-go but never brought our bill. Couldnt find him so went to the cashier & she found our bill for us. Food was good though but probably wont go back because of the other issues.

Food came out cold, couldnt finish eating my meal due to loosening my appetite. We only received 1 refill of our tea. Dont know if we will come back.

Love this place. Although one would think all fried, all southern food. Yes, you can get just about anything deep fried, blackened, or cajun, but, it is possible to stick to a low carb, high protein food intake guideline. The owners care about what they are doing. Would go there any day of the week.

Food was very good and our server was wonderful to talk to...he is from Michigan and loved that we sounded alike.

My best friend and I had a impromptu lunch and had the pleasure of being served by Tanya. I personally was confusing my own order and she snapped back with some humor that had us all laughing. My point is this waitress had a wit and confidence to help even when a customer is tripping over their own mistakes we laughed together and felt at ease. Its 2am but I knew I needed to give her the credit she deserves. Also the food was good and hot.

We met as a group, and the staff was great.

Waited approximately 20 minutes because of not enough kitchen staff like its everywhere. No one wants to work or scared of getting the virus.

Walked in stood there for a while had a few employees looks at us and never offer to seat us or even say there would be a wait. Walked out!

This restaurant has never failed us yet. Every time we visit Pensacola, we make a trip or two to PoFolks.

My mom and I went there today (1/13/20201). Well I have always loved PoFolks but today it has turned me away from them. We ordered fried green tomatoes (which were good). Then I ordered country fried steak,baked potato,turnip greens,white gravy,& a roll.Well we waited OVER 30 minutes to 45 minutes for our food. Everyone else that came in behind us got their food before we got ours. We only got 1 refill on drinks. The waitress kept saying “ladies y’all’s food will be out here soon” “ladies y’all’s food will be done 3 minutes”Well after 15 minutes we finally got our food.The white gravy did not have any taste. It actually tasted like water. I tried the turnip greens and they didn’t taste right.So,this was our last day going there.I will be going somewhere else.Oh my mom ordered the fried pork chop and she couldn’t hardly cut it cause it was so tough.We have never had a problem with them until now.I don’t know what is going on but it needs to be fixed.

Food was decent but the service was absolutely awful! Husband ordered the Gone fishing platter, kids got the chicken tenders. I ordered me a shrimp po boy. Husband and kids all got theirs but mine Im assuming was never put in bc I had wait what seemed over 30mins just to get some type of service and my food. Once I finally got it seemed like it was just thrown together. Bun lettuce tomato and fried shrimp 😒 no sauce and the coleslaw was awful. Everyone elses food was great though! Dont think well be back unless service improves.

The food was ok after they had to straighten out the entire order. They forgot part of it. We use to have po folks in mo but were on vacation in florida so we thought we would eat there. They told us it would be less then 18 minutes it ended up an hour. It took over an hour to get our food them it was all wrong. The waitress had an attitude with us so she had some one else wait on us. Some body decided to wipe there rear on the bathroom wall. The only reason im giving them a 1 is because it wouldnt let me give them a zero. And they want 15 dollars an hour. Ill start cooking at home

Had an awesome Thanksgiving dinner here! It was delicious and the portions were more than generous. The staff was polite and helpful. This is a well run decent restaurant!

This is a Southern home cooking restaurant that cook up chicken,pork chops, fish/ shrimp with grits. Really good

First time at this place, and everything we heard was confirmed, great Southern cooking, great portions and wonderful wait staff. We didn’t have dessert but they looked great, we will save dessert for our next trip back.

The chicken was pretty good. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were out of a box though. Had the peach cobbler. Needed more peaches but was still good.

Great home cooked food at a reasonable price. Fried green tomatoes and fried mushrooms are awesome.

We went to the Po Folks in Pensacola yesterday. I was really surprised that most of the employees were not wearing masks and there was no social distancing. People were being seated at booths right behind other people even though there were other empty booths away from other people. And there was no plexiglass between the booths.
