Shell Port offers a wide variety of shells, blown glass sea art, Salt Life t-shirts and hermit crabs. We even watched an employee put together a crab cage/home for a customer. So much to choose from!

This is a nice little shop and all of their shells are beautiful. I felt like most of the souvenirs were a bit overpriced and their sale of hermit crabs to people who will be taking them on airplanes or road trips back home didnt seem very fair to the hermit crab. Thats just my opinion. Its nothing personal against the store. The store seemed to educate people on the crabs. They made sure that people had the correct habitat and a sponge for drinking as well as the correct food and treats. I also heard a lady explained that as the crab grows it needs extra shells. The shop also had salt water taffy which was absolutely delicious and there were many different flavors.

Got 4 crabs as if they will ever need them. The older man was so helpful in the info he gave to us. We will come bk in a yr.

The healthiest hermit crabs in the panhandle! I drive from Tallahassee to buy them and worth the drive. They have anything and everything you could possibly need for crabs.

This Panama City local store has been around for years. I remember going here when I was little. need store and the big seashell is really cool for kids to go see.

Have gone here numerous years to buy trinkets and gifts from our beach vacation. This time around the owner falsely accused our son, a minor, of stealing and made him empty his pockets without informing us while we waited to pay for our items. Very disappointed in how the owner falsely accused our son and didn’t ask to speak to his parents. My son was embarrassed and humiliated and no apology from the owner. When we asked to speak with him he would not return from the back room.

Such a cool store! The friendly clerk wrapped each item individually and boxed it all up so I could mail all the souvenirs back to myself. Loved it!

WARNING: Employees here do not wear masks and do not understand the concept of social distancing. Walked in intending to buy things, and within a minute two different unmasked employees had walked up to within 3 feet of us and started talking. There isnt even a shield at the counter for the cashier, who was also not wearing a mask. Gathered up the family and walked out.Covid-19 is more than a year old. Theres no excuse for not having this figured out by now. We will return to Panama City, but well be shopping somewhere else. You dont need my money if you dont care about your customers.Also, given the response below, the owner apparently thinks that a pandemic that has killed over 2.6 million people is fake news, and does not understand their responsibility as a business owner to protect their employees and customers. Good to know.

I got a hermit crab here about a month ago and I loved there service and all the stuff they had. I recently went back last weekend and got another, and there service was just as good. I recommend this place if you want good products and good service.

Tons & tons of shells (various sizes & types), picture frames, magnets, t-shirts, hermit crabs, hermit crab accessories, etc. We both bought gifts for others & ourselves. And we both got free gift items with our purchases (love my new toothpick holder)!!! Highly recommend for souvenir shopping.

This place was a blast. I have never seen such an assortment of shells. If, for some reason, you want to a variety of sea shells by type, this is the place to go. They also sell everything you need to get your kids a hermit crab habitat. We got some crabs for our kids with all the instructions required to keep them healthy. It was unique.

I spent way more money than I intended. But the variety was amazing and the place was clean and organized.

Never realized the vast number of different shells, till I visited the Port. They seem to have them all. Extremely friendly people and the store is well organized.

This is one of my personal must stop gift stores at PCB. You can find just about every sort of beach gift you need to take home to family and friends here. Also they have Tupelo Honey for sale. You must try this. Youll never buy any other honey again once youve tried it.

The hermit crabs are not kept properly. They need humidity control, both salt water and fresh water which they do not. When going in there are many dead crabs lying on top each other. These crabs if not dead will die because of this. Which is absolute rubbish because with how high their prices are they should make enough to take care of them. I suggest going to Petco or any other actual pet shop that carries well kept crabs. And by the way the tanks sold there are only for travel and are 10 bucks for the biggest one in the pet shops. A single or two hermit crabs would need a 10 gallon tank. So go to somewhere thats worth the money.

Wonderful service, very knowledgeable staff. Very family friendly, and theres definitely something unique, educational, and beautiful there for all ages. They offer a massive variety of shells ranging from just a few cents to several dollars. Of course, they also carry apparel, custom trinkets, and the like.My main reason for shopping here though, was their hermit crabs, in which they did not disappoint. I was able to purchase food, water dishes, sand, a suitable carrier, and of course a few crabs, all of which were fine until I was able to get them home and into the ideal crabitat. As a side note, please be sure to do your research online before purchasing hermit crabs, as they require very specific things in terms of care. But most of their crabs looked very healthy and happy and active, and they were kept on sand, which is much more ideal than the cardboard theyre often kept on in souvenir shops.Overall, a lovely place and I look forward to visiting here again on my next trip to Panama City Beach.

Shell Port has a huge inventory of unusual shells, nets, sponges, souvenirs, etc. They also sell Tupelo Honey, Saltwater Taffy, live crabs and everything one needs to care for the crabs including houses. Good selection of Salt Life t-shirts and hats. The people working there are nice and friendly and allow you to walk and view their inventory of sea life without following you around. The store is very clean and organized. We had a very pleasant shopping experience and able to view items which at one time long ago could be found washed up on the beaches in Florida. They also have rare Seahorses.

If you are going to buy a hermit crab.....this is the place to go. We purchased a hermit crab from here and the lady that helped us was full of knowledge. She had 20+ years of experience with them and helped us get set up with everything we needed. Very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.

Great place to get shells they have tons of different shells and other small sea life and coral. They also have hermit crabs and all the supplies for them. We bought 4 crabs here on our way back home (we live 3 hours away) and while on the road we realized one was dead. So they sold us a dead one I called and they said it probably died on the way home from no water which I know is not true bc this is not our first rodeo with hermit crabs they just sold me a bad one. So if u get crabs check them out before you buy. One of the old ladies in there was kinda rude too she got smart with me bc I didnt want to buy any crab supplies and claimed I would have them dead by the next week even though I told her we had an entire crab habitat at home with a crab waiting on friends.

This place is a must stop when in PCB. They have been great for many years.
