The first item I purchased arrived with significantly more damage than what it had at the time of purchase. They agreed to deliver a replacement, which also arrived with more damage than agreed. I like to give small businesses the benefit of the doubt so, despite the long path to get here, I was hoping for a good resolution. 3rd refrigerator arrived with damage on the front after we were told that it had been inspected before being sent out. We accepted delivery since we lack the desire to continue this frustration. Way too much frustration and did get treated quite rudely at times. Certainly not worth saving $90 versus new. Cannot recommend.

I have made two purchases from AUA. Both failed to meet expectations. With the first purchase, they did not honor their warranty leaving me with broken wheels in my dishwasher within 24 hours. The second involved a dent and scratched washing machine and a dent and scratched dryer ($1800+). After three non-deliveries, I drove over 3 hours roundtrip to pick up the dryer from the warehouse myself. The dryer they sold me was supposed to be a class B but was horribly damaged (they pounded out dents with a hammer). After acceptance of the class C dryer, the salesman refused to honor the reduced rate. Additionally, unseen damage was identified during installation (the bottom of the dryer was crushed with broken legs) that was not disclosed on the QC form. Interestingly, the class B dryer was in worse condition than the class C, which would have been sold for less. When I contacted the salesman, he indicated that I purchased a dent and scratched dryer, which included broken legs and reflected on the purchase price. However, the QC form did not provide such data, and I accepted a different dryer. He also stated that the washer was not a dent and scratch but rather an open box. Yet one of the photos illustrate the dents and scratches with the classic dent and scratch markings. Furthermore, I was sold an inbox WV60M9900AV, but received an openbox WV55M9900AV. Maybe it is just me, perhaps it isnt, but be careful when dealing with this company. They offer a discount if the customer leaves positive review before their purchase, which one can only assume accounts for an overwhelming majority of their positive feedback.RESPONSE: The feet were already discussed prior to the posting of my review. As a result, I have already purchased replacement feet from a competitor. If AUA would truly like to resolve these missteps, this forum or another written form of correspondence (email) seems appropriate.READERS: If this posting has not changed, it simply means that AUA failed to cure the many problems.

I see a lot of reviews on here saying that they will not honor warranties or work with you if you purchase an extended warranty through them... I will have to respectfully disagree with those reviews as I have purchased a washer dryer set from them and when the washer had an issue that would cost more to fix than the unit was purchased for, I called Lawrence and he started the process. I will say, it took them a little while to find me a washer that matched the dryer (that was my request, so I completely understood) but after it was delivered and installed, which the delivery drivers were super friendly and respectful, I love the new unit! I called Lawrence to ask him a few questions, and he was able to answer all of them in ways that made it easy to understand. Over all I have had nothing but good experiences with this store, or its single customer service rep, Lawrence. He does amazing work for what is asked of him in his position, keep it up!!

We have had numerous great experiences here as well as successes in finding what we need. Although this particular location was running ”light” on washer/dryer inventory this particular day, Justin called around to multiple locations and asked managers to send us photos of their inventory as well as looked through many out-of-box deals for us until we found exactly what we wanted. He was not pushy at all and very patient and we left the store very happy. We’ll definitely keep coming back.

STAY FAR AWAY from Affordable Used Appliances in Parker. Friends and Neighbors...We are boiling after buying two refrigerators from Used Appliances in Parker! Neither of them work correctly! One of which we were told was brand new but after calling Whirlpool we were told it was bought by a consumer 3/14/2020 and services for not cooling on 3/20/20! The other one just leaks water constantly! They refuse to take ownership of their faulty appliances!The salesman, Lawrence, is so eager to give customers a discount for posting a good review BEFORE they leave the store. It all makes sense now.STAY AWAY from Affordable Used Appliances in Parker!Edited to add: I am reiterating that it is NOT a new appliance as we were told by you, Lawrence. It was a known malfunction and you sold it us saying it was NEW just dented and scratched. I can attach the Whirlpool transcript of our conversation to prove it was used AND not working. oh, and the year long warranty from whirlpool expires 9/25...! Maddening!

What I definitely thought was going to be a nightmare experience, turned into one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. We discovered our old refrigerator was leaking while installing new flooring, which had caused mold to grow under the subfloor. We didn’t want it to happen, especially with new flooring, but also didn’t have $2000+ to drop on a new one. After looking around we found this place and checked it out. We came in, found a fridge we liked for way less than we would have found anywhere else, and had it scheduled for delivery. They delivered our fridge and got everything set up, and the nightmare experience happened shortly after when our new refrigerator wouldn’t get cold. After 4 days of having a non working fridge, we called them to tell them and they had us call to have someone check it out. Someone came and then told us they would not repair the fridge, and we automatically thought we were just screwed out of $1400. We called them again fearing the worst, and they had us come back down, we were able to pick out a nicer fridge for the same price, and they got it delivered to us as soon as possible. As someone who works in customer service, I have high expectations and they made the best possible solution happen out of what we thought was going to be a huge problem. Lawrence is great to work with and I’m glad we checked them out!

Last month my wife and I stopped into Affordable Used Appliances (Parker) in search of a used electric dryer. We were met on the sales floor by Lawrence. We explained what we were looking for and he showed us two different dryers. One had a steam function and the second did not. But, Larry told us specifically that the second dryer was a 2017 model, only two years old. He quoted us the same price for each model, $250. We did not need a steam function and we were sold on the second model because it was only two years old.Here’s where things became shady. Larry asked if we needed delivery. We did not. He asked if we needed to purchase the electrical cord for the dryer which they conviently remove from their appliances. I said we did not need it. Then he began the transaction on his computer and suddenly he can’t sell it to us for $250. He said “the system won’t let” him sell it for under $275. I should have walked out at that point but decided to move forward. He then told us in order for him to sell it to us for that price, he needed us to leave a positive Google review concerning the purchase. We said we would be happy to do that later, but he said he could not complete the transaction until we logged onto to Google and left the review so he could confirm it. Again, I should have walked out. What kind of policy is that?We loaded the dryer into my truck and drove home. My wife and I carried the dryer up our front steps then two flights of stairs in the house. When I moved the dryer towards the laundry room I discovered the following written in large black letters on the back of the dryer “INSTALLED 12/5/13”. Obviously this was a big problem since the main reason I purchased this dryer was the “fact” that it was only two years old. I did some research and was able to confirm using the serial number online that this dryer was manufactured in 2013, SIX YEARS ago, not two as Larry assured us.I returned to the store the following week. Larry seemed disappointed to see me. I asked I we could speak for a minute. He responded, “That’s all I got is minute. The truck just got here.” Larry was a completely different person on this day. I explained the above situation regarding the date of the dryer. He said, “Well it could have been me hitting the wrong key in the computer if you’re calling me a liar.” I told him I wasn’t calling him a liar. But I explained it was strange to me that he immediately told us that the dryer on the floor was only two years old. This was before he had done anything on his computer that could have resulted in a mistakingly pressed key.Larry was sarcastic and condescending throughout the entirety of our conversation on this day. He made a point to laugh at me a couple different times. He also raised his voice at one point and said, “You’re just busting my balls!” That wasn’t the most professional behavior for a “manager.” I was there simply to give him the opportuntiy to resolve the situation. He grudgingly suggested giving me a $25 credit. He refused to allow me to return the dryer because all sales are final. I tried to use the analogy that if a person was to buy a used car that was two years old but later learned it was six years old, etc…But Larry interrupted me and said, “This isn’t a car, Terry!” It became clear after several minutes in the business that Larry would not be resolving the situation he created. As I left the building he shouted sarcastically, “Have a nice day!”I did more research and discovered this business has a terrible rating on the Better Business Bureau website. I’m also contacting the Federal Trade Commission. Clearly this business has so many positive Google reviews due to the fact they are insisting customers leave the review before they complete transactions.I strongly suggest everyone should avoid this business. Go to FB Marketplace for much better deals. Dont get conned like I did.
