My sister introduced me to Shogun over a year ago. I dined in with her here and ever since, I’ve loved their food. The waiters and waitresses are always so kind and friendly and attentive. Never once have I ordered something and not gotten exactly what I wanted. Their sushi is great and the Hibachi Chicken & Noodles is my go-to meal there. Also I get their takeout quite frequently, which never disappoints. Overall this Shogun is one of my favorite restaurants in the WV area.

There was definitely a hair in my rice & a staple in my boyfriends chicken. So definitely won’t be ordering again. 😐.

5/5 stars for me. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious with generous portions and the prices were a steal. Also some of the best sweet tea Ive had in years. I highly recommend going for lunch and getting a bento box. I got two meals out of one!

Great sushi and lunch specials. Havent tried anything else but what I have tried has been pretty good. Yum yum sushi roll was awesome, and the Philadelphia roll was good too. Habachi chicken lunch special was good and large servings.

Very good service and great food. Sushi is very fresh and tasty. Had the general tso chicken and it was perfectly spicy. Not too hot but enough heat in the after taste.

Amazing food and lovely atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable. I love the zucchini in the mixed vegetables (when you order hibachi). Ive been here multiple times and will continue to go back, their food is absolutely delicious. MUST GO TO FOR ASIAN CUISINE 😋💜

Had the Lexington Roll and it was really good, so was the service. Rice on the roll was a tad overcooked so it stuck to the plate but the flavors were awesome.

Yummy Japanese Food

They claimed to be the best Asian food in the area. Unless you like your Hunan cooked by a Hispanic person, its ok. Im guessing West Virginia just doesnt have many restaurants competing for best Asian food.Ill never go back, but its a decent one-timer if youre in the area and hard up for a dinner on Christmas Eve.The sushi however was well prepared and tasty.

A fantastic establishment and Tim has been the best host/waiter ever always coming at the right time making sure you have everything you need. Its quite a superb, quiet, & privet modern environment with an excellent selection of Asian cuisine and beverages made with quality ingredients prepared correctly. I enjoy eating here often and this place will continue to stay on my favorites. P.S. They also have real hand sanatiser here! It doesnt smell bad at all

My first Shogun experience. Very classy Chinese. Not your typical all you can eat where you risk old food. Menu-style ordering with excellent taste, friendly service, and a classy upscale environment. I would definitely eat here again.

Been here twice...first a couple yrs ago, didnt care much for selections..this time the service and food was great, large servings..costs more but really enjoyed it!

Very nice vibe in here, a calm atmosphere. The food was great, our server Daniel was very attentive and pleasant. The prices are very reasonable. My only critique is the same with all of these kinds of places: they had way too many options on the menu! Hard to choose what to order. They have Japanese and Japanese American options so expect that kind of Asian food selection.

This place is the best! Food is amazing. Service is awesome! I always look for places that I can take my 2 year old to and not be getting dirty looks if she is being loud. This is one of them! She loves it there and they are so good to her!

Friendly owner and servers. The generous proportions of food are always prepared hot and fresh to order. I love the salad and soup that comes before the meal, so good. Great flavor, pleasingly decorated atmosphere and genuinely nice owners, make this somewhat pricey meal for one worth it.

Waitress excellent, food delicious. Pepsi tasted strange but might be the city water lol. Changed tables 3X to find a clean one...had to settle for a sticky one. Watched busser clear a table and not properly clean it afterwards, yucky 👎👎I may return once more but I will ask to have my table properly cleaned in front of me. Menu was covered every page with sticky cleaning solution, wipe that stuff off before you hand it to a customer.

Its OK, not over the top.Most definitely has less than an authentic flavor with muted tones of garlic and ginger. Not as spicy as it should be and everything is sweet. Noodles or fried rice cost an additional 2 dollars as well with your meals which is absurd. Real Chinese food doesnt have broccoli either and the plates usually have an over abundance of broccoli and zucchini but little meat.

Very soft light intimate dining atmosphere. Food was great and promptly delivered at right time. Service very friendly & personable. Definitely will go again. Lovely place for our quite date.

First time trying this place out was in town for a few days. This was over all a wonderful place to go. I got the hibachi steak, lobster roll and Dragon roll. Was perfection. Soup and salad served before meal both were very delicious. Definitely coming back if Im ever in town again.

Sushi here was top notch. It was made fresh. The variety was awesome. Sushi is a little pricey, but for the quality it is worth it.

I was skeptical about this place because I thought it would be hard to find good food in this area. But after having ordered appetizers, soups, and 5 different rolls to try, we were thoroughly impressed. Fast service and very friendly staff. Asked the waitress a question and she couldnt answer but she called someone over and never left the table. Shows willingness of the staff to constantly improve. Will definitely be eating here again and recommending it to friends.

This place had amazing food and service. The food was a little pricey but you do get your moneys worth. Definitely stuffed after eating here. The crab Rangoon was delicious. I will definitely be coming back here, but probably for the lunch special. Our waiter, (I think his name was Dan) was amazing. Great place to eat!

Cheap Chinese food that is way over priced. Order Happy Family that is supposed to have chicken, beef, & shrimp. There were 2 pieces of shrimp. The Chicken Chow Mein was chicken with soft rice noodles. That is not chicken chow mein. Salad came with the meals. It consisted of some iceburg lettuce, nothing else. The Moo Goo Gai Pan was chicken & mixed vegetables. Moo Goo Gai Pan is supposed to have water chestnuts & snow peas. It wasnt even close to being Moo Goo Gai Pan. Unfortunately the food was take out & the restaurant is closed for the evening so I am out $75. Such a disappointment when I was expecting a great meal.

I absolutely love this place! I feel like the food is worth the price. Plus the mood ed lighting is the perfect touch. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is a fan of sushi or hibachi.

Had sushi, got one order of the sushi wrong but it was all delicious. All my experiences have been great, I cant understand why its not a busier place. Maybe a lack of a true habachi stations.

Seasame chicken tasted like it was all made ahead of time and refried when a customer ordered it. All the rest of the food was overdone, (steak) or tasted stale (rice).

Very expensive for the quality of food. It resembles Fusion in Vienna, but not nearly as nice nor a dinner show. Bathrooms were dirty.

My boyfriend and I waited over ten minutes once we were seated to be waited on. Several people looked at us, but didn’t acknowledge us. We just got done shopping all day and looked rough. I was so upset we finally just left. I said something to the hostess as we were leaving, she didn’t even say anything. They weren’t even that busy. Not worth it.
