Decided to try this place due to their high ratings! Not a lot of people were inside so the service was quick. They do allow you to try flavors. Some of their flavors are very unique like the pear and blue cheese.. it wasn’t bad! I got their gooey brownie, you get bits of brownies and it’s super creamy chocolate. I also got the mint chocolate chip. I loved that they had lots of chocolate chips inside but it was a bit too sweet. Lastly I got the salted hazelnut praline s’mores. I was hoping for a bit of a balance of salty and sweet but it was on the sweeter side. I do appreciate all the bits of toppings inside the ice creams though. Their prices are a bit higher, $5.25 for 1 scoop.

This is a very good and exquisite ice cream shop. The taste of ice cream is very delicious and this is a shop where beautiful girls love to buy. There are so many beautiful girls in it.

This place have the most interesting flavors. They have monthly concoction of flavors. I had the pumpkin bread and black cat which is black licorice and lavender for Halloween. Their honey lavender flavor is probably the best one Ive had so far. Now they brought back tasting so you can try the concoction before you commit.

This is a great ice cream shop, the ice cream here is very delicious, and the packaging is very special, the decoration inside the shop is also very beautiful, the style is very strong, I like to come here

Everyone knows about Salt & Straw. And if you don’t you’re missing out. I’m very calorie and sugar conscious in general but this ice cream is worth it! I always get the cookie dough and almond brittle but this time i tried one of their seasonal berry flavors. It’s always so so so good!

This was my first time ever trying this. I was definitely craving ice cream and it was convenient considering I’m on foot as well. Also it was unique but the only downfall is they had no visual of the ice cream or pictures.

Its good. Used to be one of my favorites, but after trying some regional ice creams in other parts of the country, S&S has lost its luster for me. Dont get me wrong, youll get some good ice cream here, but not the best IMHO.

Oh man. Where do I begin? There’s so much stagnation in mainstream Ice Cream development. Salt and Straw are really doing great things with flavor combos and unusual ingredients. The olive oil ice cream has a truly unique profile and really deserves a try. I ended up with the Bacon Maple Streusel and it really hit the spot. This locations staff were fast, friendly, and helpful in choosing my flavor.

Really the best ice-cream place in Pasadena. Since I discovered this spot I go every single night. For sure Im a big fan of their coffee ice-cream.

Whenever Im near a location, stopping in at a Salt and Straw is mandatory. Its one of my favorite ice cream shops and this Pasadena one, open since November, had NO line at all - score! We walked right up and started sampling flavors. For the month of March, theyve brought back some of their most popular flavors, one of which is Cinnatopia Cinnamon Bun. I love cinnamon and this flavor did not disappoint with cinnamon roll pieces throughout the scoop. The young lady who helped us was more than happy to give us sample after sample and explained each flavor. If youve never tried their ice cream, Salt & Straw is definitely a winner and worth a stop.

Had the Pear and Bleu Cheese ice cream. Wasnt expecting it but it was delicious. Also, they must not like things too cold. The takeaway freezer was 55°F and the AC wasnt running. It was the coolest and hottest ice cream shop Ive ever been in. 10/10 would roast for dairy-ception again.

This ice cream is THE BEST!! With covid restrictions you cant sample flavors anymore, and there are only a few people allowed I. The shop at a time. No cash debit cards and digital like apple or Google pay. They have have a regular menu and then 4 or 5 rotating flavors every month!

Extremely helpful employees when helping people while they cant try samples and its their first time there. The peanut butter strawberry is absolutely delicious its like a pb&j in ice cream form. My boyfriend had the eggnog ice cream and loved it. We both had our ice cream in the tasty waffle cones. We will be going back again to try more flavors!!

What is there not to live about Salt & Straw?! So happy there is a location now in Pasadena! I’m here once a month for their monthly specials menu and occasionally their regular menu as well. Split scoops in a waffle cone is the best way to go! They also have to go pints for sale as well. Keep in kind it’s cashless payment only due to COVID-19!

This is best ice cream Ive ever tasted. Its so fresh, they give you an excellent amount for the price, put an even amount of toppings (brownies, toffie), just all around amazing. You can really taste the time and quality that went into this. They also have amazing holiday flavors that will blow your mind. 10/10 definitely recommend.

First time at salt and straw, really friendly staff and nice location in old town Pasadena . Definitely a great addition to the strip. Ice cream was okay, I got the James Coffee & Bourbon. I guess I will try a different flavor for my next visit.

Never disappointed whichever Salt & Straw shop I go. I love how creative they are to make an ice cream. This is the place you can have fun with new flavors or indulge with old flavors. My favorite ones now are Pear & Blue Cheese, Honey Lavender, and Strawberry Tres Leches.

I love love love salt & straw!!! They have such interesting flavors. My only sadness was that they were never in my city! Now theyre right here! Im so excited to visit and eat the honey lavender ice cream everyday this summer! I think everyone should give them a try! They have really bizarre flavors/names and then some really delicious ones that you cant really find anywhere else. But definitely go see for yourself

Missed this place so much when I moved out of Portland! So glad it finally came to Pasadena, its immediately the best ice cream place in town now. Highly highly recommend, the ice cream is delicious. They are excellent about sourcing local ingredients and coming up with unique seasonal concoctions that are always fun to try.

It is not a high quality ice cream, expensive. Not sure why they cover the ice cream. You cannot see them. You buy with your eyes and they cover the ice cream so no one can see them. The place looks good and it was clean.

I got their Double Fold Vanilla, and it was creamy and yummy. But, they really should make sure that the paper that’s wrapped around the sugar cone comes off easily. It’s not a problem if you get the ice cream in a cup or waffle cone, but it’s inconvenient to eat it on the sugar cone because there’s always a paper residue. And, paper is not edible!
