Great service. Staff is very friendly
Great service reasonably priced with a great selection
Although the Harrows we bought our pool and had it installed by Harrows has closed we have visited two other different locations and have never had a problem. The pool they installed fifteen years ago still stands. The only thing that needed replacement was the filter. Not bad for all the years of use. The crew they sent over years ago to install was awesome. Im sure you might pay a little more at Harrows but its certainly worth the extra.
Prices are crazy and the place is run down. The guy working there was nice though so I feel bad. Just being honest.
They had a big advertisement that items were up to 75% off. I went there with my wife, things were grossly over priced, and just about everything in the show room was only 10 to 20 % off. out door furniture and the such. I saw a winterizing ball for my pool. I went to check out and the man told me it was $ 70 with 50 % off, which is $35.00. I told the man that I could get it on amazon for $16.00. he said good luck with amazon. shame on me for going all the way to there store.
This place is a dump! Smells and very dirty. As fast as we walked in, we ran out. How would Narrows allow a store to be run like this one is inconceivable!
Dirty, smelly place! Went to look for Christmas trees but I was disgusted with how dirty the place was, I walked out. Seriously clean the place up! I Wouldnt take something from there even if they were giving it away for free. No reason for the store to look like that or smell.
After one summer of use, the umbrella purchased from Harrows Patchogue for our outdoor dining set has rusted through. The arm fell straight off. After contacting Harrows about this, they told me that the umbrella was only covered for one year (this was purchased 18 months ago) so they were not able to replace or fix the umbrella. Considering the umbrella with table and chairs cost over $2k, you would assume the quality and service would be better. I advise anyone thinking about making a purchase from Harrows to look elsewhere.
Home Depot and Lowes have the beat with Walmart coming in at 3rd place along with Bjs selection and price wise
Its a horrible, smelly, dirty place and the man at the cashier doesnt wear a belt so he walks holding up his pants, so unprofessional, do not recommend
This store stinks. Not just their prices, but it actually smells really bad, like human B.O. The place was filthy too. It looked like no one had vacuumed in years. We went in on a whim to look at their Christmas trees. Their prices were higher than you’d see anywhere else. They also didn’t have the product in stock and were selling the floor models at the super high prices. I recommend NOT shopping here.
Sounds like a Harrowing experience
You would swear this place was abandoned. The place stinks like mold, probably due to the roof leaking onto the carpet. The place is a total dump, it reminds me of the Attias flea market. Went there to check out their “Christmas sale”, they had 40-50 blow molds for full list price of $159.99 which is outrageous. They say half off but is still way overpriced. There was merchandise all over the place, unorganized is an understatement. Half of the lights don’t work in the store, carpet is peeling, ceiling tiles missing, and piles of garbage and boxes so tall you could put a star on them and light it up. There’s piles of furniture stacked in random spots too. The people who work there, or I assume worked there, were no help when I asked for prices. The man gave me a blank look, rattled off a price he definitely made up, and then went back to eating his Chinese food. If you want a funny experience, check this place out.
BEWARE! Christmas coupons look like they are great deals - just like Harrows used to be before going out of business. Before the new company bought the rights to the name. BUT, prices are way too high -especially for yard blow ups and porcelain lighted villages. Sales people were nice - thats why it does get one star.
Looks like they took over an abandoned building. The flooring is old rugs and not a warm welcome feeling for summer items. The saving factor is the saving you get for the furniture you need. Best prices in the area. Not easy to get to on north service road. Watch for entranceway just after the hot dog truck blocking your view.
Moldy smell, and dirty. Ok deals for outdoor furniture.
I walked in for some hot tub chems during what most ppl think is off season. Christmas stuff all over and the chems were blocked by boxes. After asking the guy where they were I had to clear the boxes away (he didnt even bother) to find the the products where the smaller sizes at the normal large item prices! The rest of the place was a mess, old, disorganized, and only Christmas stuff. I wont be back regardless of the season.
Smells horrible, like cat urine. Everything was crazy over priced. Dont waste youre time coming unless you want to spend 200-400 on one scene for a Christmas Village or a very over priced inflatable. Easily 3 or 4 times the average price. (They advertise 50% off but youre still paying more than normal) They also had electrical wires hanging from the ceiling to the floor that someone could easily trip over. I will never visit this store again. If I could give this 0 stars I would.
Friendly staff, kind And considerate.....
Stay away! This store does not care about the consumer. They sell products that are not backed up by their warranties. They do not return phone calls, emails etc. They sell furniture that in some cases is pieced together and try to pass it off as new. We are dealing with the Attorney General and will be commencing a lawsuit against them. In our case, we purchased a cast aluminum outdoor dining set that split open in less than a year despite keeping it protected from winter elements. Dont waste your time or money at this store!
I couldnt be happier. At first I was bummed that the wife was dragging me out shopping for patio furniture. The first place we went was Harrows, they had a good selection she found something she loved, we were in and out and I got a reprieve from spending hours driving all over the island looking at patio furniture. A+++
Purchased a pool here and the following day they call my husband and I saying they forgot to charge us an extra $850 for products that were already on the paperwork that shows we paid for it. When trying to return this pool the staff kept trying to sell us on more things. Than were told we need to come back and return it with the guy that sold it to us, and this was coming from the MANAGER!!! I would never buy any products from them. They have no idea what they are obviously doing.
Nothing in the place
Tired decor. Weak inventory. Not sure how theyre still in business. Dont waste your time.
The worst. Got my pool here, nothing but issues. Filter sucks and is broken after 2 years. They cant service and have no parts. The company went out of business and Harrows wont stand behind what they sold. Sleezy staff, bad product and a complete rip off. Avoid at all costs!
My pool got destroyed by Hurricane Sandy, after the heat this past week and the upcoming holiday I wanted to be able to use it, but was worried that because of how its surrounded by my deck that I was going to need some custom repairs and it was going to cost a fortune... I got quotes from a couple different places including Brothers3 and Island Rec, both of which came in much higher than Harrows. I got a similar price as Harrows from as Backyard Masters but I really felt like the salesman there was a bit of a jerk so I went with Harrows. I couldnt be happier, Im so glad I was able to use it yesterday for the 4th of July.
Damp musty from all water damage from the pools over the years. Did have beach balls
Everything seems good until you actually need some customer service. I went to the store to purchase a patio umbrella (MSRP supposedly $299) for $60. When I got home, realized that it is of very poor quality. Dwane, the manager, refused to take it back. He told me that there would be no problem returning other items from my order, and made no mention of them not taking back umbrellas. Extremely dissatisfied with this company and their lack of customer service. I never even removed the umbrella from the packaging. Yes, I did cut the thin packing tape on the low quality corrugated cardboard box from China, but I replaced the packing tape. He said that it was no longer sellable as new, and pointed to a small ripped sign saying No Returns. I had figured that since he said that I could take back other items from my order, that I could return this also. Never assume! Spoke to representative of the president of the company also, Kenneth Ehrlich. His representative, Karen, said that I should have been told at the point of sale that the umbrella was not returnable. SHOP HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Extremely overprices christmas trees and store smelled like urine...seriously
