This sandwich place is so good. They have a ton of interesting options and the soups are delicious.

Been coming here for 4 years and Ive never been disappointed. The offer alot of options. Ill start with the food. They have breakfast and lunch style items served all day. They include oatmeal, assorted waffles, all types of egg sandwiches and combinations, bacon sausage frittata, an assortment of scones bagels and muffins. For lunch they have 4 panini options and soup options. Now to get into the coffee options. They have French press, espresso, Cortado, americano, cappuccino, macchiato, regular brew, cold brew, and pour over. They have signature drinks located next to the large menu cant miss them. Chair tea latte, macha tea latte. They have alot of TEA herbal, black, and green. They have vegan snacks aswell. You can get a 96oz box of coffee. They have free wifi. Its very laid back friendly place. Come hang for a bit of just grab your coffe and go. Very simple and calm place.

BEST COLD BREW Hands down. They also do pour overs with the chemex and the kalita wave (Don’t know another cafe that does this around).I had the french toast latte with almond milk. So good.Also, I love the roaster that they have in the store, adds to the aesthetic.Never had an issue with my orders or customer service. I highly recommend this place, cheers.

Tell me how I ordered an iced ginger tea and this is what they gave me. When I asked the barista how its made she gave me a weird explanation saying how they soak it through rice paper? She said ginger runs pretty clear. She seemed offended that Id even question her water boiling abilities. Anyways, I take this iced ice water to my seat and start drinking it and it tastes like... water. I get my friend to try it asking him what he thought it tasted like and he asked me why they gave me such a nice cup for water. I tried other teas before and lemme tell ya I think they took the whole leaf juice joke too seriously because they all taste like they just brew whatever leaves they find laying around in fall. I decided to make my own iced ginger tea, steeped it for the same amount of time as The Roast and it ran just about as clear as the waters at the Patchogue River. Anyways the Lattes arent bad.

Youre clearly offering a better quality bean than your local competition, but until you start regulating your roast with a computer (like all the legit third wave coffee places are!), people who truly seek good coffee simply cant buy beans here. Stepping it up is a quick fix and putting aside pride for business. Trust me, we all really want you to be good, but this over-roasted Guatemala from a couple weeks ago is unacceptable.

Love their seasonal drinks they use real ingredients not just syrups and they have amazing local pastries and the best almond croissants!

One of the favorite places to get tea/coffee and relax. Definitely recommended to all the tea enthusiasts near the Patchouge area. The staff is nice and the place is clean with a comfy feeling.

There was ample seating and I was able to do work on my computer for a few hours without interruption. There are nice bathrooms as well. I found parking right outside in the street.

I have been coming to Roast for 10+ years. The coffee and atmosphere keeps me coming back. Nice place right on Main Street. Also located close to Toast. The irony.

Quite a few coffeehouses have popped up on main street, but this understated one remains by far the best. Friendly staff, fast service, chill space with wifi, great selection of food and drinks, flyers for interesting local events, and seasonal specialties. The buccaneer is one of the best tea drinks Ive had in a very long time.

Emma was the best! So patient! She informed me of how the organic ginger tea is made. I enjoyed my freshly ground organic ginger tea! Delicious. Im going back to buy a 5lb bag of it! Emma also informed me about the different kinds of coffee that are good for my finicky digestive system. Thank you Emma and thank you Roast for offering the best teas and coffees On Long Island! 😊

Truly a great coffee shop. Not necessarily a ton of space, but for its location, it definitely accommodates a typical crowd. The coffee itself was great, and my wife got a black tea that was on special. They were both brewed and served quickly, with positive interactions with both baristas working behind the counter. Due to the limited space, this might not be a great place to settle down for an afternoon to crank out some work, but I highly recommend this spot if youre looking to enjoy some coffee during a lunch break before moving on.

Excellent service and a nice selection of loose teas to have brewed there and also buy. Also, Im not big on espresso but the espresso here is by far the best Ive had, it was so smooth and not bitter at all. Nice atmosphere as well.

Ok coffee shop. The counter woman was very patient and helpful. Somewhat limited selection. I wanted an Indonesian based blend and although they had a single source Malaysian bean everything else was from the Americas. Could have used some darker roasts also.

Seams like a nice and open environment. All types of people in here very diverse. Theyre actually usually really nice havent been here in a while but nice place to sit down when your in Patchogue to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. Good place to just sit and hang out or read a book, maybe wait for people there or meet up.

Cozy... Rustic industrial? Hard to describe the overall vibe. Its like a sterile warmth that fades into the background, and lets the coffee (or tea!) take center stage amongst the friends youre sharing it with. Seems like a good place to get some work done if youre not there during peak hours, and Ive never met an employee who wasnt friendly and welcoming. Its like the Hoptron for Coffee :)

Great small town coffee shop with yummy fresh coffees and many different brews; fun, wide tea selection; great quick bites - and theyve started adding more substantial stuff to the menu, the chili was good.The staff are very helpful, and knowledgeable about the different selections available. Great place to get great coffee to brew at home, too.

Very friendly staff. They have an excellent selection of in-house roasted coffees. I particularly like the Costa Rica and Zinger via their french press. I also like the larger community table with room for playing games.

Lots of options for both coffee and tea and a knowledgeable, accommodating staff. I miss the couches and cozy atmosphere. The current setup is colder and less welcoming.

This place it’s really nice and quiet, the coffee is good, I love hot chocolate so this is the second time that I’m around this town and I stop by to get my drink and chill for a little, it’s nice place to meet with somebody if you like or like to do some work and be in quiet environment!

Pretty cool place. Trendy. Can use better seating. Have a roaster that is pretty loud but definitely unique to the restaurant. Good place to study even with the roaster. Gives a peaceful vibe.

They shop used to be really nice to chill at with others and the atmosphere was really nice with all very nice staff. but now, since the new management, it has gone to absolute rubbish. the new owner fired all of the original, great staff and now has very poor service. i was there today after not attending for such a long while (since i didn’t like how they fired all of their former employees) and just 5 minutes in the new owner (who was also the only person working at the counter making people wait a whole lot longer than absolutely necessary) was very mean and unprofessional. she gave off a horrible vibe and her attitude was not pleasant in the slightest. i’m never going back there again. 10/10 boycotting Roast

Nice place. Very clean with very helpful & polite staff. The Chai Latte was delicious. My only complaint is that it doesnt have more comfortable seating.

I wanted to sit on my computer on a couch in a nice environment, and that is what I found here!However, this place could be cleaner. I have spotted at least 3 flies clearly drawn to the table near the couches because the table has not been cleaned in a while. Also, I ordered a pot of loose tea. The water (tea) from the pot had leaked onto the platter, and that is how it was served to me. Not to mention I heard the waitress say it had leaked, and she didnt bother to replace it. I finished the tea a while ago and it is still sitting on the table.. keeping the flies around..Lastly, if you are looking for quiet, I would not recommend here just because there is a massive coffee roaster in the middle of the cafe.

Full disclosure-- I am a coffee nut.I like coffee. I was very excited to find a coffee roaster in an unexpected location. I walked in. Saw a big roasting machine right in the middle of a very nicely decorated room, very cool music, nice bar.I ordered a cup of drip coffee. It was bitter, like it had been sitting in the thermos for days, or like the pot it had been brewed in needed a cleaning.Close, but no cigar. Color me disappointed.

This is such a quaint and authentic looking coffee shop. I love that its a local place and not one of your big named places that can be rude or disingenuous. The vibe is laid back and i overheard that they have open mike on some nights. Ill be sure to come back and listen!

Coffee was great, but the food is all premade. They dont even have a grill. No waffle machine, no toaster well never go there again. Theyre so called (homemade) you califlour cheddar soup tasted like flour. we sent it back. Yuk

I really used to like this place, the old staff was so friendly and got to know me very well (i became a regular because of how much i liked the atmosphere) but now it just feels so bland and boring, I havent seen much of the new staff (New management) but one employee acted pretty unprofessional (very rude tone, un-polite, slow making drinks) which was very off putting. The friendly vibe from this place is just completely gone. And I dont know if its just because of how much it changed but I feel like the quality of the drinks has gone down (ordered a tea once sweetened and it was sickly sweet, then ordered another tea sweetened when a different employee was working and the tea was very bitter) and the menu is less diverse now too. Its a shame such a cozy hangout could become such trash :(

I love this place. Theres always something new that they offer. The staff is knowledgeable and always answer all of my questions. Ask your barista what he/she is drinking that day. Youll always get something new that you never would have thought of.

Roast was a real surprise find for me, I was not expecting to find such a great little coffeehouse on Main St in the middle of Patchogue. To my surprise Roast is a hip and classy coffee house with a great mellow atmosphere, which is just what Patchogue needed. The staff were all nice, and very knowledgeable and the coffee was just superb. I was really blown away by the selection and quality of the coffee and the reasonable prices. Overall Roast is just a great little secret that Im glad I know about. I highly recommend.

The Roast is my favorite patchogue place. They actually roast the coffee beans right in the shop. The tea selection is amazing and being a selfproclaimed tea snob I have loved everything I try there. The ambiance is lovely, its a cozy and quiet place but also really fun, there is a huge table and a nice selection of table top games you can play with.

Fabulous tea selection. Ask for a pour-over to stay. May take a little more time, but they do it the proper way (preheating the ceramic cup and filter).

The cold brew was a little bitter but the dark roast coffee was perfect. The decor and atmosphere is great.

Im strictly a black coffee kind of guy, except when Im here. They have every kind of coffee I never usually drink, and it is great.The ambiance is very nice, and the crew behind the counter are always very nice.When youre in Patchogue and feel like a good cup of coffee, this is a great choice.

The table may also be reserved if you are planning an organized meeting.The atmosphere is inviting, and the staff is friendly. There is a numeric padlock on the bathroom doors, which suggests that it is for paying customers only, but I have never seen that enforced.Prices are what you would expect for a coffee shop located on the Main Street of Patchogue, so a small cup of joe will run you $2.50 as of this review writing. Scones run for about 4 bucks.Overall it is a nice place to grab a cup of coffee or tea that is centrally located on the main strip. Great for meeting up with friends, or getting some work done with the complementary wifi.

Good coffee, nice chairs, friendly staff and even a Foursquare coupon if you come with a friend. I also like that they have a leave-a-book / take-a-book wall. Its nice to see quality local businesses back in Patchogue.
