Recently I went to this Pearl Vision located in Peabody, Ma, what a lovely experience I had!Great examine by Dr. Udenta and the staff was OUTSTANDING!! The store was very clean, neatand well organized. The staff made me feel welcomed and really took the time to help mepick out the perfect frames! They also took sanitary actions to make sure all glasses ondisplay that were touched or tried on are taken and sanitized!!Which is a Very good practice during our time of COVID!I also appreciated all customers and staff were masked!! ๐ท ๐๐ผ๐ค
I just had my first exam at Pearle Vision. The optician was thorough and friendly and the front desk staff were very helpful. They explained my options and showed me frames that hadnโt been displayed yet. Iโm very satisfied with my experience and will definitely be returning.
My experience at the office was great. Was in and out for an eye exam within 30 minutes. Dr. Hamel was extremely efficient and provided me with great insight in regards to the health of my eyes. Highly recommended.
I am always so happy with the customer service I receive here! The doctors and staff are always so nice and very accommodating! I would not go anywhere else!
I bought a pair of prescription lenses and frames. The frames did not wear straight on my nose, and to be honest I wound up not liking the style. Pearl Vision advertises 100% replacement or store credit if not fully satisfied with no questions asked (see below.) I went to exchange them and the Associate told me that Peabody does not follow the corporate exchange and credit policy. My receipt clearly stated โReturns: Store Credit Only.โ They adjusted the nose guard, clearly saw that they were still crooked, and sent me on my way. After I got home I verified that the corporate exchange policy must be accepted by all branches. I called back and they reluctantly said I could drive back (40 miles) and exchange. Very upset with how I was treated. A guaranteed exchange should not be an issue when you spend $430. Itโs like a McDonaldโs franchise deciding that they donโt have to give you fries with a happy meal. Iโm sorry but a franchise doesnโt get to play by their own rules. This is what their website says (pretty straightforward, I showed the associate in the store and she said they were a franchise and didnโt need to comply):Our guaranteeIf for any reason you arenโt 100% satisfied with your eyewear purchase, you can return it. Bring the merchandise back in its original condition within 30 days of your purchase and weโll make things right.Weโll adjust, repair, exchange or replace with no excuses, and you donโt need to provide an explanation. (Applies to original purchases, and does not cover accidental damage, scratches, breakage or theft.)
Great service and prices on contacts. They have a great selection of frames too. The employees are very helpful and friendly
Awful experience... when I walked in there was three people seating, I let them now I needed some glasses. I was asked if I was seen there, I said no but I have the prescription. They acted like I was a nuance and pointed to the wall and said, There they are... they did not guide me to select a frame, brand or explained quality vs price options. They were just chatting with each other and when I asked for guidance they acted like I was interrupting something important... once I chose a pair the young person that helped me just took me to the register to charge me. He did not measure my face, check the fitting, or offered me glasses materials or coating options. I guess he was in a rush to go back to keep chatting. I asked if he was going to check the fitting and he said there was no need for that... insurance? Yeah you can add that.... did not asked for my contact info... how are you going to cotact me?!! He said, it was on the prescription and it was not.. Im very easy going I did not feel this was right and told him so, with the same attitude instead of apologizing he quickly said that I can cancel the order if I dont want it..... so I did and walked away. I wear glasses since I was 4. This is the worst experience Ive ever had. I called to talk to a manager and they transferred the call to the same person that was helping me... I would give a zero if I could.
Been coming here for years. My last two (2) eye appointments seem rushed by not only the doctor but the front desk staff. The spanish or black guy is always rude and unwelcoming. While he was adjusting my glasses he bent the bow so much that it actually broke and then handed them to me saying it looks like you broke them. Um no you broke them while trying to bend them to fit my face. Then refused to help me any further.
Terrible ExperienceThe staff does not pay attention and the boss man needs to do his jobworst place
The absolute WORST eye appointment experience Ive ever had, and Ive been going to Optometrists for 25 years.I booked a regular eye appointment and they asked me over the phone if I wore contacts. I told them yes. I came in right at my appointment time and had to wait an additional 10 minutes even though there was no other patients waiting in the office. I filled out a form saying I wore contact and needed an eye exam.Dr. Hamel called me into the back, where he did about 4-5 diagnostic tests on me, standard for what Ive had with other eye appointments, but the whole process took 15 minutes. He didnt speak hardly at all during the whole appointment, which made me feel uncomfortable since typically I like to know whats happening.I told him I had issues with seeing at night, but he didnt feel the need to press me further about that or really offer any solutions, which was irritating. He also didnt dilate my eyes, and I had told him that I hadnt been to an eye doctor in over 2 years, so I felt he should have at least done that. I would later find out that he would blame my short visit on COVID and wanting to minimize how much hes around patients... youre a DOCTOR... thats your JOB. We both had PPE on so I found that excuse to be extremely ridiculous. After the 15 short minutes, he said he was finished and I went to the front desk to check out. The lady at the front desk told me it was a $90 co-pay, which I thought sounded steep, but I paid it anyway and left, just wanting to go home at that point.Later, I looked on my insurance claims account and saw that only the eye exam was charged as a claim and I wasnt supposed to pay anything. I called Dr. Hamels office and asked for clarification on what the $90 charge was for. The associates on the phone werent very helpful and told me it was for a contact lens fitting which I was told that this is standard with every patient who wears contact lenses.I was furious that the extra charge/procedure wasnt made clear to me AT ANY POINT during the entire appointment that this was occuring. Nor did I get any trial lenses to take home, which is typically part of a LENS FITTING... I was furious by not only the awkward and short eye appointment I received by Dr. Hamel, but also by the fact that it was such a steep charge that I felt wasnt communicated at all to me and very sneakily done.I asked multiple times to speak to Dr. Hamel about my entire experience, which he never called me back. And I learned that Dr. Hamel is the franchise owner of this business and therefore can apparently treat patients however he wants, in my opinion.Ive learned that not every eye appointment location charges $90 for contact lens fitting, and this is definitely on the extremely HIGH side for this location. I would recommend calling an eye care center and asking what they charge for certain procedures and ask if it is mandatory that you receive those procedures PRIOR to actually going.. which is sad that a patient should even have to worry about being ripped off by a medical practice, but its the sad reality unfortunately.I wouldnt recommend this business or doctor to anyone.
I went to Pearle vision in Peabody on 8/31 for an eye exam and bought two pairs of glasses. My experience was fantastic. The optician was phenomenal. She took the time to explain everything to me and I could tell she really cared. The folks out front helped to fit my glasses and helped me to pick out the right pair that would work best for me. If anyone else needs an eye exam or glasses, Pearle Vision in Peabody is the place to go!
Wonderful experience! Absolutely the ONLY place to go for eye exams and frames! Today I went in for my annual eye exam and it was great. My optometrist was Cindy He and she was wonderful, very helpful and understanding. Please see Brian Bouchard if you need help finding glasses!! He is great at his job and made my appointment very fun!
Cindy He is an excellent optometrist, one of the best in the area. She is super friendly and holds a conversation well. She is also glad to answer any questions you may have, even the dumb ones that you may be embarrassed to ask! All in all my eye appointment was quick and easy, definitely going back there next year for my routine exam.
I am so thankful to have met Dr. Cindy He! Ive been wearing glasses/contacts for over 12 years now and never have had someone do such a thorough and pleasant exam. She was so kind and made sure to explain everything to me in great detail. Upon completion of my exam Dr. He did her best to help me get deals and coupons on my contacts, glasses, and eye drops. I felt very comfortable with her and definitely trusting of her exam.
My wife and I both purchase our new frame glasses (w/prescriptions), and sunglasses, at Pearle Vision Peabody, and have done so for some years. The service and expertise provided by Alexis has always been great. She has great taste in fitting you with new stylish and current glasses, is easy to deal with, is thorough, and generally a pleasure!
My husband and I both had appointments today and it was by far the best experience weve had anywhere. Customer service was excellent, the doctor was fantastic, we even got our glasses the same day! I would recommend to everyone!!
Cancelled my appointment without even telling me; showed up to find out theyd cancelled the previous day even though Id had the appointment for over a month. Never had any place do something like this before- wasted two hours of my vacation time. never again.
Excellent service by Collin who was very patient with us, helped find the right frames for progressive lenses and was a pleasure to work with. There were not any deals like most places that offer BOGO or discounts available however we were able to get a AAA discount that Collin asked if we were members which I thought was great.
Actually had never heard of this place until an employee here, phoebe, noticed that I had tape on my glasses while I was out to eat. She approached me when I was finished and told me that she worked here and offered to help me out which was great for me as I donโt have an eye doctor in this area, I came in and she set me up with a new pair of frames, that I love, and lenses. 10/10 respect the hustle grabbing customers while off duty and it doesnโt hurt that the staff is pretty cute.
They do a great job here. All of the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Dr He is fantastic! Highly recommend.
Last time.
Be wary if you wear contacts! They are going to try to nail you an extra $70 every year you walk back in the door. I get the fitting charge the first time due to the time involved, but to charge a returning customer for the fitting is just greed. I wont be back. I had been going them every couple of years or so for the better part of 8 years when they were on 114/Andover St. New location, new attitude I guess. The clerk tried citing federal regs., which is true for the prescription but, not on what they charge. Microsurgical Eye Associates in Peabody is the same way. Thatโs why I started going to Pearle in the first place. My new provider charges $110 for the exam for glasses and contacts as it should be. Thatโs $30 less than Pearle to start, $100 if you add the fitting. So be smart and donโt get sucked in.
I wonโt go anywhere else!!! I love it here!!! Seeing is believing!!! Try them yourself!!!!!
This optics has an excellent service.
Final update got my glasses in about a week ago. when they came in they did their fitting. i did get their premium anti glare and got a certificate of authenticity for crizal but did not get one from transitions its a little disappointing that it did not they did give me a copy of something that i believe is the lap order and it does list the, but the lenses do seem to work the way they should light tint inside and low to medium tint in a vehicle and very dark out side. the manager that contacted me called back after i got them and that is definitely a plus. my final score is 3.5 good contact was nice the employees were nice but still the delay is not ok i know things happen but it should not take that long when you take money upfront and have a no return police if some one couldnt wait any longer.Update 3 I got a call from a manager that explained the whole transition email I guess they do have a lab that can special order them. I would let transition know so they can update their website to show pearl vision as selling them and avoid confusion I am still waiting I hope they come in this week and will alter my review after. I know it wont be a 5 cause three to 4 weeks is still not ok for a medical need. But I am very happy the manager would call to clear it up.Update today I went in and the showed me the lab order it did show it listed as extractive being ordered and they told me they are independent and dont know why transitions would say that. So now I dont know what to believe will see how they perform when ever they come in.Ordered glasses over two weeks ago with transitions extractive and have not got them yet they got the lenses but missing the transitions. I went there yeasterday day they said today or tomorrow got a call today and now they say Tuesday. This lead me to email the transitions company if it takes this long and they told me that no pearl vision is not listed as selling the extractive lenses in their system, so now I feel like I am being scamed, as well as I dont know how many other people, they better be able to produce a Certificate of Authenticite or the lab receipt and not be some cheap copy cat, it is not what I payed for, other wise I will want a refund.
Best Experience!
