This store has something for everyone from pet food to apparel. The store is very clean and organized with helpful staff.

Happy to see this place back open. Service was kind and quick. Everything is pretty much the same place as I remembered it.

The manager Judy Dewalt is very rude to her customers. Purchased a tool there quit within two days try to contact them refuse to give me a refund or exchange. Told me I had to contact the manufacture. When clearly their policy states you can get a full refund or exchange within 30 days. Very bad business I can see why this place is nothing but a ghost town

Since RP lumber bought this chain it has really impressed me.and my wife.If anyone has dogs or pets their food is overly more reasonable than Chewy, PetSmart or Petco.Their shelves are getting well stocked and are fronted perfectly, and they still have the nicest employees from the old store.They will not have a Grand Opening until the name has been changed but they are open Now, and remain to do so.Please patronize this great store in Pekin!!

Its coming together, way better selection compared to the Lincoln store. Staff are friendly, carts are pre-sanatized and waiting at the door, your greeted properly, and the store is well organized, even though they dont have all of there merchandise yet. Its overall a good experience.

Besides theyre going outta business, or maybe theyre not. I dunno the news says one thing, the 70% off sale says otherwise. All in all since they took over for Big R they obviously went downhill pretty quick, so my experiences with this company in particular have been negative from day one.

I went there with a family member and saw multiple employees walking and talking while they were supposed to be working. That is not going to be well received by any customers when they see that.

My husband was treated so rudely. And a woman followed him out. Continue to be out at him. And I told her that she had no idea what my husband goes through on a daily basis. And that she had no right to talk to him like that. I told her that she should really show some more customer appreciation.

I was in search of purchasing kayaks and spoke to Earl at Stock and Field on the phone. He was very professional and helpful. Not only did he save me 6 kayaks back since I live an hour away he helped load them and stayed with me while we secured them safely on the trailer. All the employees were very curtious, when our checker forgot to apply the 50 dollar discount he actually caught it himself and made the adjustments. I highly recommend this store to others! Stock and Field Employees care about their customers!Stop in and talk to Earl about all your sporting goods needs.

They are going out of business, so we thought theyd have some good deals.... They did not. 5%-20% off just isnt a good deal when their prices are originally higher anyway.

Management was very rude today insisting that everyone, including people with medical exemption wear masks while in the store or they would call the police on their customers.I will definitely spend my money some place else.Definitely petty Tyrants!

This place has went from being one of my favorite stores straight to the toilet. Not sure if it’s stock and field or poor management. They’re always out of 75% of what I need and their return process makes you feel like you’re a bad person for returning things. Just take things back and move on without the 10 questions and excessive limitations please, just like Farm and Fleet, Menards, Amazon, and others that treat their customers like customers.I’ll be shopping elsewhere from now on.

Friendly staff but not a huge inventory. It is nice to have the hunting and fishing license desk right up front.

Definitely changed a LOT since it was Big Rs. We drive right on an hour to get here & Ive always been able to walk into the footwear department and grab my favorite boots for wearing around the property, actually wear them every day so need replaced yearly. Thankfully they were still there & in my size too. The selection has been downsized quite a bit, so I did save money as I usually find another pair to grab as well.As Big R, they always carried the best selection of all occasion cards, leaning tree, inspirational, RSVP & other companies. I was saddened to find only 1 rounder with a much small selection than Id expected & imho, overpriced. We were not stopping anywhere else as wed planned to get whatever needs & bday/holiday cards here (covid n all). Got 4 of the 7 I needed, found nothing suitable for kids at all. The few other aisles i was down had lovely displays, some good sales & ease of seeing what was there on the shelf or rack. Other n the card disappointment, Id have enjoyed looking around more, but these days we dont dwaddle.The checkout people were friendly & courteous.

I do really like Stock and Field (Big R) for pet supplies, tools, and work boots along with other stuff too, but for the past probably year and a half (since a few months before they changed names) theyve had issues getting enough product in so I regularly have to go to Tractor Supply to get what they dont have (not that I have a problem with Tractor Supply)

Very nice clean store with wide clear isles. The store also has a great selection of items of all kinds. This was the first time in the store but I will definitely shop there again.

This store has some wonderful employees. They will drop what they are doing to help at any time. If one cant find what you are looking for (because its not on the shelf anymore) the manager comes out on a mission to find it for you. Always happy employees.

We have been going there for a while and Patty is wonderful at customer service. She helps everyone and shows new workers how to process warranties and other tasks. She is always so positive and pleasure to work with. She should train all stores because she gets the job done with excellence.

New to the gun buying experience and Patty was wonderfully knowledgeable and patient with me throughout the entire process. Highly recommend anyone who is looking to purchase firearms/ammo/eqt to check out Big R in Pekin IL first! And their prices are GREAT!

This place is a nice place to go without a pandemic going on. During the pandemic it seems they just are not restocking their shelves.

You can always find what your looking for at Big R. The employees are always friendly and helpful. The kid that helped load my car was so friendly and helpful. Thanked me and told me to have a nice day, he even closed the hatch on my car.

Very polite employees, great selection. Have used the repair shop a few times and each time they are nice and fix the stuff quick. Very good at answering all the questions I had with a chainsaw purchase.

I think its a real its a shame this store is going out of business.I will really miss it all my bird food and garden supplies pet food ! Pekin shopping sucks.

WORST MANAGEMENT EVER!

It is a great store. Well organized. Signs above aisles very big and you can actually see them.

We love shopping here for Christmas toys especially! They have a big selection, some different items than all the other stores and nice options for family gifts as well. They are also very community minded which gives us extra incentive to shop here!!

I shop at Stock & Field alot for fishing supplies & hunting supplies. I fish multiple tournaments yearly locally & out of state. I hunt almost everyday I not working during hunting season. I recently purchased a crossbow that was supposed to have a hard case with it on black Friday. Well still no hard case. The store is close & I like the products. But now I may take my needs to Bass Pro for further purchases.

This store is a gem for the city of Pekin. First and foremost, you get a level of service that is far superior to any other chain big box store. Every employee takes pride in their work as if they are the owner of the place. The amenities are great too. They have a do-it-yourself dog wash indoors which is especially nice in the winter. For just $10 you can take as long as you need to make sure your puppers is so fresh and so clean. The products that they carry are above average and high quality and their prices are hard to beat. I would recommend stopping in even if just to look around, they always seem to have something new and neat in stock!

Love Big R. Staff is always helpful & friendly. Great prices on flowers & shrubs. My dog loves to go there for a quick outing & to get fussed over. I try to support them by shopping there whenever possible.

Used to be my favorite store but ever since they switched to Stock and Field it looks like they’re going out of business. Went in to buy Carhartt clothes and a new Stihl weed eater and left with nothing. The employees said it was because of the pandemic but it was getting bare before this started. So the online stores got my money.

Interesting place. Like a country version of Walmart. Can get clothes, pet supplies, tools, groceries and more. Prices are about average, maybe a little below. Have a good pet supplies section and allow pets in the store. Theyll occasionally have vets come in and give cheap vaccinations. They also have a good selection of unique good items like summer sausage, candy and canned fruit.

I wanted some loose straw (not a full bale) and they have some bagged up. in the back of my mind it shows that they are conscientious about waste and about profit which I think is a good thing!

Empty shelfs, never have the thi gas I am looking for anymore .

Used dog bath room. Love the hydralic tub and groom table!! The dryer is awesome...however..room needs a good cleaning. Someone before me left hair everywhere!! I swept up and cleaned after myself, but it needs a deep cleaning!!!

I really like the Big R in Pekin. They are usually pretty competitive on the prices of their products, and are normally very helpful when I cant find what I am looking for. I wish Pekinites would support the store more than I see them doing so that Big R can remain in town as an alternative to driving to Morton to go to Farm and Fleet. As to the Sporting Goods department, Big R has an excellent selection of good quality merchandise at very reasonable and competitive prices, the best in the area. I have made many purchases in this store since its opening and hope they remain here for many years to come.The only downside is that sometimes it is a challenge to find someone to help you. They, like many other retailers, have to keep close tabs on their labor costs, but we the customer sometimes pay the price for that by having to find things for ourselves too often, but that is my only complaint about Big R. Good store!
