Still not a great place to shop, but they are making improvements and it is getting better. It was much cleaner the last time I was there and the new self checkout machines sped things up.

I really like that they have a sushi chef that makes all the sushi fresh and who was very kind and helpful. Anytime I have needed help finding anything, the staff has been very cheerful and helpful.

Ok...so I have been sitting here thinking about all the bad things I could type but overall Kroger does there best and I LOVED working there! Yup, I worked in the Pharmacy for two years, just recently left the company. I loved the people, the company...I just loved it period. I finally had the best boss that any employee could ask for. The management...they act like they are too busy to help with any issue you might have but they 99% of the time get it done. I love all the great people I got to work with and had small conversations with. But most of all Im going to miss my customers! Its the customers that make Krogers run. Its the customers that made me laugh and a good day at work. I hope I helped someone while I was employed at Kroger Pharmacy in Pekin, IL. I just hope I brought a smiles to everyone and made their experience with the Pharmacy great! XOXO

Cashier was extremely rude is Im hard of hearing Ive had someone help me put items on the conveyor belt and had them help me put in card number cashier would not accept card number nor would she talk to the point where I can hear even after being told I was hard of hearing she was also very rude to the lady behind me they should really train the cashiers better at customer service at the store

They refused to let me in the store just because I wasn’t wearing a mask. Masks are not law to wear, it a choice. I refuse to wear a mask that don’t help and only hurts people to wear. I’ll never shop at a Kroger again. Schnucks is the place to go

This store is absolutely terrible, the management doesn’t care about customers and employees are trained absolutely terribly they have no idea what they are doing and know nothing about their own store. I would recommend to anyone considering shopping here to make a drive to a different Kroger or go to any other store PERIOD.

Found a great parking spot near the cart bay for starters. Employee waking out as I was walking in greeted me.I found everything I needed and was in line in less than 10 minutes. Only waited for one person ahead of me in line to check out. I could have gone through self check but Im much slower than the cashiers. In and driving out in less than 20 minutes. Great experience. Friendly staff. Organized and clean store. Saved $ with my Kroger card. Thanks for such a quick rewarding grocery shopping experience.

Pekin store worst ever.never stocks dairy always out of stock on sale items before Fridays.This is every week.

Always have items that I need in stock. Friendly cashiers and someone always ready to help. Friendly grocery packers and ready to help you out if needed. Love the fuel points for gas and good prices and coupons to help on bill.

Went there, they did not have my Big K citrus drop extreme in stock, went to get salad dressing, they were out of Kroger Ranch dressing??? They were out of RICO cheese sauce( I had to make another trip to the dollar store). I heard inventory was soon, yes you run your back room down, but NOT your shelves... Customers should always come first.. Inventory or not!!!

I have been coming to this store for a long time. I have really noticed how much they have improved in so many areas. The staff is always friendly and ready to help. Not just when I ask but just when I walk by. I really enjoy shopping here. Thank you Kroger staff for making me youre Number one priority.👍

There are a few good people here and I feel badly for them. The rest are disinterested, rude, and have no customer service skills. Make sure you check your dates. I tried click List and THEY pulled me pudding that had expired 1 month prior. When I called, I got a lot of excuses and the store manager told me that they have a high quota per hour and dont have time to check expiration dates. What?!? I pay you for a service and you dont have time to make sure the product is not expired? We decided to give them another chance and watched dates closely. We were good for a few months. Until this week. My husband bought me organic frozen breakfast sandwiches. I wrongly thought he checked the date. I ate them and didnt feel right so I was going to call the company to see if they changed something. I flipped the box to find the number and saw the expiration date. 2/20/2017. A FULL TWO YEARS before we bought them. I called and again got no apology. I called corporate and they couldnt tell me next steps, so I called to get the district managers number or name from the store. I talked to the store manager again, and again no apology. I was asked what I wanted. I was told that apparently there was no satisfying me, that she checks dates when shopping and so should I. And finally, that I should probably find another store. Done, lady. Now it is up to corporate and the district manager to determine if I find a completely new chain or just a new store.

Clean store, good selections, reasonable mix of budget-friendly and upscale choices. Fast self-checkout and very helpful staff. Not the cheapest place in town, but offers the most pleasant grocery shopping experience.

I only shop at Kroger. Love the set up. People are great. Cant beat the prices. Never a negative visit. Been shopping there for years. Its my store.

Good grocery store that has been remodeled recently. We like their selection of healthy and natural products. Great for people with gluten and lactose issues.

Great solections had seafood samples this day. All staff was helpful and friendly. Took a chance on this Krogers visit for last-minute shopping. Was not disappoint. Will shop again.

Like anywhere you watch what you buy. You save with a Kroger card. Ask for one at checkout if you dont have one. For example with my card I got a spiral smoked ham Kroger brand for 97 cents a pound. Love the special. Also can find some things hard to find elsewhere.

It is a pretty decent Kroger. Laid out a little different than a lot with shine split isles. Usually clean and well stocked.

Friendly cashiers, great selection of produce and meat. Recently remolded both the store and the pharmacy. I enjoy the extra bonus of using my Krogers card outside at the fuel center. Lots of reasons to stop in.

Everyone at Krogers are so nice. If you cant find what you are looking for they will help you find it. Their prices are good. They have a fully staffed and stocked. We get all 9f our prescriptions filled at Krogers and we like getting the fuel points

The deli and meat counters are ran like an old school, home town meat market. Personal service, the clerks obviously enjoy their work. Its a VERY refreshing experience!

Good luck if you go there to use their Western Union service. The clerk insisted on 3 forms of ID, including a Passport. I have never had to produce a Passport to send money before.

Love the people and selection. Parking can sometimes be an issue. Prices are great and love the gas accessibility.

The older workers are typically unfriendly and rude while the younger ones know where things are and are more friendly. The store is really poorly stocked with a lot of items not refilled for weeks on end. The store itself is usually not the cleanest either and sometimes has a strange smell.

The store is clean. Some fair sales. Friendly staff. If it wasnt for all the fat people blocking isles I would possibly have given it a 5 star rating.

Nothing is ever stocked, old people as the staff with the worst attitudes. close at 11 but wont let people in passed 10:55 for one item. if you used to work there they follow you around like youre a some convict. the management treats their workers like slaves and even write them up for getting a drink saying drinks are for breaks and lunches

Will not be going back...... have gone here ever since Ive lived in Pekin. But the last 7 weeks Ive gone there Ive had to bag my own groceries while managers and staff sat talking and looking for rafter bats. In short Ill be spending my money at Hy-Vee, atleast they have baggers.

I bought chicken livers from the deli, and a 8pc of fried chicken.The chicken livers were fried so long, the livers were hard inside.

Good prices, decent selection, fuel points, and they bag your groceries.

I cant find anything at this store. Its so fustrating. When I finally did find canned oysters they were on a 6 ft top shelf all the way in the back. I had to have my 12 year old stand up in cart to get them. Then I was going to go to the self check and a couple were not working and the line went about 1/4 of the way down an isle. So I went to the check outs and it was so congested, 3 lanes open so line were at least 6 to 7 in each line. When it was my turn Im looking around and there is all kinds of workers standing down by the bagging. It only takes one per line to bag. You actually had to manuever your carts around them to get to the door. My thing is if your going to have that many employees standing in everyones way then put them on a drawer and open another line to get the congestion down. It was crazy and very inconvenient. I guess thats why I dont shop here, I had to today because my store was out of oysters.

Why couldnt I use my Temporary issued Paper ID to get cigarettes outside at the Gas Station along with my expired paper ID that the DMV said I need to keep them together?!? Just didnt get gas there.... And the guy was rude and just kept cutting me off and didnt even scan the back of my DMV Issued Paper ID.

Great experience, but its getting harder to find customer service in the aisles! Deli and bakery usually have great service though! Karla, Tanishia, Latasha, Lynn and Aleshia do a great job of helping me every time. If I dont see them, sometimes I dont even stop by the counter, the others dont always have great service...

I miss having the service of a Kroger employee sanitizing the carts. I wish they’d continue it.

Kim at your Service desk, which is where your customer service should be craeated from and that should be where you receive the best customer service out of anywhere in your store. She has a bad attitude and lacks customer service. With me being someone who has been in the customer service field for over 15 years, I know how you are suppose to treat the customer and she failed. No hi how are you today or no thank you have a good day. It was do u have a Kroger card and here...Shame on Kroger for putting this person in your customer service dept. And FYI its not just a bad day cause she is this way Everytime I have to deal with her

I love this store because of the friendly and helpful people that assist me when ever I cant find anything. Stuart in the deli is a big help on suggestions when it comes to trying new foods.

Good Natural Foods section, good organic fruits and veggie selection They have most of the food brands I buy... they dont carry my Blue Bunny yogurt ice cream, but hey... that isnt a staple :)

Kroger needs more parking spaces, people are very friendly and helpful.

Its pekin at its finest. Shoppers with pajamas or the local loose woman getting her pre game liquor with a bag of tortillas. The same employees that have been there and miserable for years.

Its a grocery store. They usually have just about anything you are looking for, and their shelves are always stocked. If you use your kroger card, their prices are pretty good.

Folks there are always friendly, layout is easy to follow and prices are reasonable.

I have had 3 bad experiences with Krogers Bakery. I swore after the second time I would never use them again yet I was out of options and had no choice. The first time they used the wrong icing and refused to remake the cake. The second time, it was nothing like I ordered. The third time, she didnt even start the cake until after past time I was suppose to pick it up. I have had no other problems with Krogers except the bakery.

Like a mall at Chrisgmas and not in a good way. Never any parking spaces as the parking lot is WAY to small and has a gas station. Always minimal staff with 4 people in every open lane and typical Kroger pricing. If you like paying too much, being throughly aggravated and risking life and limb to get through a parking lot then this is the store for you. If not, at least Wal-Mart has enough parking spaces and lanes two cars can fit down simultaneously.

We went to the deli and asked for a lot of meat to be sliced as well as cheese. I noticed that the meat slicer want wiped off after sitting for almost 10 minutes before they started using it for our order. I didnt say anything, but when we got home we threw it out. When the slicers are dripping with juice from previous use, I would think they should be wiped down for sanitary reasons. First time in 10 years Ive seen this at the deli in Pekin.

Worst bakery Ive ever worked with. They called me the night before the event to tell me they had no marble cake mix, that they had white cake and chocolate cake mixes, but no marble. They said they could do one half white cake and one half chocolate. If I can make marble cake in my kitchen with my kids, a bakery should be able to figure it out with the same ingredients. THEN they called me the morning of to tell me they also didnt have the right frosting. Seriously? The day of?!? When I finally got the completely wrong cake, the image I had requested and provided had been scaled down to 1/5 of the cake, leaving giant white spaces with no decorations or anything on most of the cake.... AND... The name was spelled completely wrong even though I wrote it out clearly.
