Very impressed with the liquor store. Prices for bourbon were around MRSP, which is not common. Plus, the staff is very friendly. Well worth the trip.

Honestly, they have the best selection of craft beer in town. Seriously... ValuCheck blows away the other Pekin options.

Things are very easy to find here, The employees are helpful and nice and the place is always clean, but the reason I only give this specific place 4 stars is because, things at value check can get a little expensive. I can get some of the things sold here at Walmart for a cheaper price. Its not THAT much expensive but it can be a bit better.

Great grocery store. They are good at making sure items they sell are always in stock. As well as carry lots of items other stores do not. Peanut butter chocolate milk They! Stewarts old fashioned soda, just to name a few things I can not find at others stores, if I can it is no where as reasonably priced. They are the only store in town that has prime rib seasonally, very friendly staff. My go to grocery store. Highly recommend this store

Nice clean store and good prices on all items. Name brand and generic brands available to purchase. You can also pay your utilitie bills at their customer service center at the front of the store.

Liz did a wonderful job as my cashier. She is very respectful and social. I also wanna commend Gail for her help. The Pekin Valu check has the best staff.

This grocery store is always so clean and very bright. The floors are even carpeted, and the shelves seem to be lower than any other store I have been in. They always have sale bins with brand name at bargain prices. The over all selection for items is smaller than Walmart, but most major brands are stocked. They also have a nice craft beer selection in the liquor store. I am always pleased after I leave this store.

Overall, Ive had great experiences with this store. I was impressed by prices and their placement. I was more impressed with their organic produce selection. I think it would be difficult to do a large load of groceries since you bag your groceries yourself (from what over seen) especially with small children, but I have no complaints as far as quality and price.

I recommend this grocery store....best meat prices and quality. good variety of produce, always fresh. the store is set up nicely, easy to manage. they do carry liquor, its in a separate room in the store and must be purchased separately. very good prices,though and has a separate entrance for quick trips. nice size parking lot with a gas station. to help keep prices low, you do bag your own products, but I actually prefer that, anyway. for those that need assistance, just ask, the employees are friendly and helpful.

Value check is price gouging, I buy my dog food and groceries there but not anymoreI have someone from an elderly help organization, shop for me and sent the lady to the store, When she came back my dog food was a few cents under $20.00 usually around $14.00 I can get it at Krogers for $13.99I sent her back with it a couple days later to get a refund, they refused because of the virus, give me a break, everyone handles the dog food and all the groceries we buy, another excuse to get stuck with a product you didnt know in advance was going ot be so much higherI am on a very low budget and cant afford to waste that extra $6.00 I just wont ever go backThey make you think you are getting groceries cheaper but a person of my age who has shopped most of the stores in Pekin, they are not, giving you a great deal and you have ot bag your ownI will shop between Krogers and Aldis from now onAt least I can go online a see what the prices areValue check is so cheap they dont have their own website to check their pricesDont be fooled by the name Value Check it is a gimmick to get you to come thereBy the time they add their 10% on everything and the higher priced things, you are not saving, so keep bagging your own as for me I am going to Krogers
