Jay Bradshaw and his team is a superior moving and storage company. We were Hurricane Sally victims and displaced for close to a year. Jay stepped up to the plate as soon as we called. They handled our items like they were theirs and treated our home with such great respect. I have used Coastal Moving twice in the last six months to move my 81-year-old mother into two different assisted living facilities. I worked with two different crews of three men and found each one of the men to be not only extremely careful, but also patient with me and my mother, polite, and understanding. These moves required navigation of hallways, stairs, elevators, and many residents with large pieces of furniture. The men who moved my mother did an excellent job and did not break or damage a single item during either move. Coastal Moving made the move easy and smooth, and I will hire them any time I need to move.

I hired these guys to move a mountain of boxes and files from a couple of offices to another location. Access was tricky at each site, and it was definitely a lot of volume. They were fast & efficient and didnt disrupt business that was going on around them. In short, they were complete professionals. Highest recommendation.

Most of the movers who showed up were very professional and seemed like good people. One guy who said his name was “Duck” was caught several times eating our food. My father in law offered him a piece of candy in the morning and he ate the whole bag, stole cookies, ate another bag of chocolate all without asking. I finally said something about a large jimmy johns cookie my husband had put on the counter for when he got home from work that just went missing. Duck said he had taken it out to the truck for his lunch and asked if I wanted him to go get it. I was really annoyed. He also took a bunch of sausage and cheese we were gifted for Christmas. It was only food so I didn’t feel like making a big fuss about it but when we unpacked our boxes 2 bottles of liquor were drained including an entire bottle of gentleman’s jack. There was nothing spilled, they were just empty and I know for a fact that they were full before we left. If he took a ton of food, it wouldn’t surprise me if he just dumped our expensive liquor in a cup and took it out to the truck. Also, the boxes were full of his wrappers from the candy and food that he was stealing and eating while packing. How disrespectful can a person get. It’s a shame because all of the other movers were very professional. I wouldn’t use them again because of this one guy. He seemed really friendly but was stealing our food and liquor and lord knows what else. If “duck” comes to move your stuff, hide your food and liquor.

These guys are absolutely amazing. We laughed pretty much the whole time they were here.I even bought them lunch just for my appreciation on them moving me out of my upstairs apartment, and to my now forever beautiful home. I definitely recommend these guys.

We recently completed a move to a 3,500 sf home. This was our first move with professional movers and we could not have been more pleased. We compared prices and were most impressed with the responsiveness of Coastal. Unlike the competitors that asked us to describe over the phone all of our belongings to be moved, Coastal came out to evaluate first-hand and give an accurate estimate and understand some unique items to be moved. As it turned out, the move came in under their original estimate. We moved over two days with the same crew, and they were prompt and knowledgeable. They were very professional, helpful and showed care in their job. Highly recommended!!!

I moved about two weeks ago (in town) and Coastal helped me with this move. I had two of their guys with me from 8-4:30 that day. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone that a needed competent, courteous, strong movers. My furniture is very very heavy and the two gentlemen handled with ease. I got a quote from two places. Coastal Moving and Storage was by far the best quote. Not only did they have a better hourly rate they provided more movers to make the move go faster. We were doing a local move and were concerned mostly about keeping our furniture in good condition and Coastal did a great job of wrapping everything and handling with care. Best moving experience I could have imagined. The team at Coastal was respectful, honest, and incredibly considerate. Our furniture was stored for 6 months and was delivered just as it was stored, with no damage or problems. The movers took great care of our new house, inspected every piece that was stored, and placed them exactly where we wanted. In my 10 moves in 5 states never have I ever had such quick, efficient movers!!!!! They did an entire 2 bedroom townhome WITH STAIRS in less than an hour (even with me asking them to move furniture multiple times). I asked them if they were being timed ha. I had such a great experience and they were nice guys also.

My experience with the movers and delivery was fine, however I had a terrible experience with the claims department. The movers helped me fill out a claim for some damaged goods, which was great. I sent in my claim around May of 2016 and have not received a response. Ive spoken and exchanged emails with the gentleman that handles claims many times. Some of my emails did not receive a response. Whenever he responded, or was available on the phone, his response would always be I will get in contact with my GM and get back to you. There was never a follow up afterwards. It was difficult to get in touch with him as he was usually not in the office when I called. The person who answered the phone would tell me that he would pass my info to the claims person and they would call me the next day. I never got a phone call the next day every time. The last time I called was some time in the Fall of 2017. This was my first moving experience in the military.

I hate to give them 3 stars because the guys that actually moved us did a fantastic job. James who packed my closet stole money that I had hidden and forgot about until I unpacked and the box the money was in was empty. James still works there so beware if he shows up to your house he is a nice guy that will steal from you. Please dont let him pack or move you. He stole about 150.00 most of it in change and a lot of it was sentimental 2 dollar bills and silver half dollars. BEWARE!!!

Had to call Mayflower HQs to get an answer that Coastal Moving REFUSED to provide. It took nearly a full day for packers and loaders to take care of around 1k pounds of HHGs with NO appliances and nothing needing special or extra packing. If youre military and get assigned this company, I recommend you call your TMO office to request a different company.

Trying to get in touch with anyone on a Saturday is awful. I have been calling since 9am CST and no one answers their voicemails. I had to have Mayflower directly call. Even after Mayflower called I was told if any other questions is to contact Jay. Called a couple times and still no one answering.

Their driver ripped our Internet cable down and they said its not their fault.

Broke my washer and dryer and wouldnt accept my claim for them to repair/replace them. Then proceeded to give me the run around for 3 months before telling me they would not take responsibility. Terrible service!
