At the moment you come to that place they give you a nice feeling. Very hospitable team, it is a lovely place to enjoy with your friends or with your date. Excellent food, specialist chef de cuisine, good pay and professional service. Highly recommended.

Food here was horrible! The rice and peas and oxtails was bland. The portion of the rice was great, I only received 4 oxtails for the entire meal and very little vegetables. I do not recommend!

The food here wss just ok. I had the oxtails and I have to agreed with other reviewers. I received 85% rice 10% meat and 5% vegetables.I would have appreciate receiving a larger portion vegetables.

The food is disgusting. No taste and the presentation is a whack. First time eating from them and the stewed chicken taste bitter and dry. They drown your food in gravy sauce. The rice was not fresh and taste like it was done three days ago. They have no customer service. Wouldnt recommend🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Today was my first time eating from this restaurant. The food was delicious. I ordered jerk chicken and curry chicken and they were both delicious. Very generous portions as well. I love Jamaican food and I regret that living so close it took me so long to try this place. Will definitely order again.

Place have horrible customer serviceLady robbed me told me 10.22 picked up a can soda she changed the price to 12.22 plus the soda 13.22. Didn’t give me a fork had to ask thank god I checked the bag. Let’s see how the food taste

They take your order but it seems that it takes great effort. The lady seemed bothered to take food orders. I love Jamaican food, but I am taking my money elsewhere.

I like the food. Some days are better than some. No matter what, I love my Jamaican food because I know how it’ll be cooked. I love the pudding. Very sweet but good. They need to accept card payments. That stops me from going a lot because I hardly carry cash.

Used to go there for years. Very good oxtail but they keep raising the price and giving you more rice and less of the darn dish youre paying all that money for. You will basically pay 7 dollars and change for a tiny platter stuffed full of dry rice and peas with two or three of the tiniest pieces of oxtail youve ever seen placed on top. Its a shame because this place used to be a great place to stop for lunch and dinner. Now they are almost always empty. They should get a clue and realize its because people dont want to pay for overpriced platters of rice!

Best Jamaican food around. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. Food is very authentic and it is a small family owned restaurant. This is not a sit down restaurant. The beef patties and coco bread is amazing.

Its a nice family restaurant with authentic food. This is a place that has been around since I was a kid growing up in Perth Amboy. Its a gem. The food is always delicious and fresh. Sometimes you will go and they wont have the dish you want available but just ask whats available and they wont disappoint. Their beef patties and coco bread are always on point too. Cash only but I respect that. Local businesses like this need to be supported. Today I tried the ackee and salt fish, and Im happy I did plenty of food for two people.

My first time ordering and not what I expected. I called in to order and the lady was rude and hung up asap as I ordered my food. I had to call her back to ask for the price, if they took cash or card, and asked her when will my order be ready. Im picky with my curry goat, It was soft but a little dry, it had no gravy. Id rather have the steam vegetables, brown rice was too mushy. I had so much better curry goat before. Maybe because I use to live in Florida. Anyone find a real good Jamaican Restaurant, please respond the location.

I ordered the oxtail stew - dinner size portion here for lunch today while doing my annual doc visit in the neighborhood. They had rice, peas, potato, plantain, and cabbage as accompaniment:):)I ABSOLUTELY loved it!!!! Yummy, yummy, yum!!!The ONLY issue is, I could not sit down there and eat; it was take out only:(:(

We finally found some good Jamaican food in the area, I had Curry goat with rice and peas, wifee had Oxtail with white rice. Very flavorful dishes with some spice. They just gained another customer!

Their oxtail is great, their curry chicken, not so much. They seems to use dark Indian curry instead of the traditional Jamaican curry. My plate had 3 piece of chicken NECK in it, which i find very rude, how can you serve someone chicken neck !?!?!? thats disgusting.

Wow took me back for a moment. The taste of spices and veggies all in the right amount of everything. All was extravagant I was honestly high off the satisfaction of stuffing my face with everything on my jerk chicken platter.

Yesterday was my first time visiting Mobay Restaurant in Perth Amboy. When I got there I ordered jerk shrimp. The lady stated that they did not have jerk shrimp, but it was on the menu. Two mins later she said they have jerk shrimp but it will cost $16. I ordered it thinking it would be good because jerk anything is good. I was wrong when i got home my jerk shrimp looked like vegetables and shrimp that i can make myself. The rice and peas was old and tasted like it was cooked a couple of days ago. I will not be returning to this restaurant as their food was the worst Jamaican food Ive tasted. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTURANT.

They are rude and very slow. no customer service. the young lady who took my order was blowing her gum while talking to me. The food was not good compared to other Jamaican restaurant. btw she took my change without my permission. never again.

I order oxtail a with rice and peas and cabbage and I was so disappointed the oxtail were not spicy, they were greasy and tough the rice tasted like it was months old and I got literally crumbs of cabbage there customer service skills are very poor and at this moment I just hope I dont get ill I will never go there again
