Being a 24 hour store, visiting this store I can see how the staff is always on the run to help customers and many times listening to unreasonable request from customers. Appreciate the way staff handles the requests esp. at pharmacy.
I dont know what is happening with this Walgreens because it used to have good service, but now, it gets worse each time I go. 1 cashier was attending a line of about 16 people, one of them being me and they told me to wait 20 minutes for my medication. I come back after an hour and waited a long line just to be told to wait 20 more minutes. What is the point of lying to the customers?
NO WAY!!! The store is okay. But the phone service and the speed is the worst. Just go other walgreens and see how great attendance you will experience. Management do your work and make this happen here also.

Horrible pharmacy department, they have prescription drop off window closed always and to drop off a prescription they make u go on the regular line and wait 30+ minutes. Horrible department with employees that have attitude with every single customer
Its the 2nd time a come to pick up my meds and they get something wrong. 1st they gave me 2 bottle of same antibiotic, then the 2nd time they gave me a bottle of pills instead of a nasal spray.
I ordered a curbside pick up. I checked in while I was outside and no one came out so I decided to go in there was a huge line and I asked an employee how can I pick up my oder she was rude and directed me to someone else that person then told me I had to wait in line for my order. So my question is what is the point of curside pick up if I have to stand in line. Horrible service!!!
This pharmacy NEVER picks ups the phone, they would keep you on hold, pick up just to tell you to keep waiting!

High school students should not be in charge of giving children’s vaccinations. They didn’t issue my son a lot number or provide his vax card. My husband didn’t catch it. We called to request the lot number and they said we would need to drive for 30 min yes to get it! This is where our healthcare standards have fallen? Sad.
The store you can shop in, no problem. Ive never had an issue. I am going to complain about the pharmacy. If you are a client from their pharmacy. PLEASE CHECK YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS BEFORE YOU DROP THEM OFF. They gave my father medication that was NOT prescribed to him. I called to complain and they never apologized, and quoted that the doctors writing was unreadable and that they guessed the prescription said just that. TERRIBLE service!
EVERYTIME I come to this Walgreens Drive Thru Pharmacy always have to wait minimum 45 minutes to speak to the technician/pharmacist. They never have my order ready even though it’s been over hours after the doctor has submitted the prescription. When the order is not ready they tell me to come back later and this is unacceptable because you wasted my time. Ive been going to Walgreens Pharmacy for the past 25 years and now I will never support them anymore as I will encourage my friends and family to support Family Owned Pharmacy
If you like to wait at least 20 minutes on line to drop off your prescription, the please come here.1. The staff does not wear their masks correctly. They work in a pharmacy with sick patients coming in to get medication. They wear their masks but they don’t cover their noses. I wouldn’t really mind in any other industry but a pharmacy? No way.2. The pharmacists were taking way too long explaining elderly people why their Medicaid and Medicare didn’t cover their medication fully. The patients did not seem to understand the pharmacists and pharmacists had to re-explain multiple times. That took up over 20 minutes of waiting and nobody seemed to care.3. The checkout line was also very long. The clerks were doing what they can but it did not move quickly.I went in and waited over 40 minutes just to drop my prescriptions and buy four items.In short, if you have a lot of time to waste during the day, go to this location. Otherwise, avoid.
I came in morning to getting my vaccination at this Walgreen. I use to visit this place before for my Passport pictures and Indian manager was giving great customer service but unfortunately I meet today with Mr. Abel C and asked for my old pictures and he was not able to give customer service to me and told me untrue which bad impression for Walgreen customers. I just ignore this issue and went to register myself for vaccines the counter lady was getting me register me and suddenly one another lady come as I show you picture as I took it. She directly to me get aside as she was to register another customer for vaccination I feel that was very disrespectful for Walgreen customer. I just told her fallow the CDC policy as 6 feet distance. Very rough customer service at this Walgreen.I will just suggest for they need customer training on urgent base otherwise they would be destroy the business of Walgreen. And customer would be disappointed.

This is the absolute WORST Walgreens in Perth Amboy. Prepare to spend all day in this dump! Dont waste your time here. The pharmacy is the worst, horrible customer service.
This pharmacy deserves 0/10...worst pharmacy service ever!! Long lines every time, only one cashier to assist and staff doesnt know what they are doing. Second time I brought my meds that I left the ER with and they say my insurance doesnt cover it. No courtesy call to let me know and then I spend 30min to be helped and come to find out insurance didnt cover it and we have to call the doctor to change it meanwhile NOTHING was done about it ALL DAY LONG!! Took them to another pharmacy and had no issue. Do not recommend this pharmacy at all!
The main part of the store is fine, as long as you’re not trying to pick something up from the pharmacy. Three registers, 1 person attending to a long line...barely. Better hope you don’t NEED your medication, you may suffer for a while. It’d be easier to do the drive-through, at least you’d know there’s someone attending that long line as well.
Not the best Walgreens but not the absolute worst. Expect there to be a long wait during the most random times in the Pharmacy with sporadic times of absolute emptiness. The Beauty counter women are usually super super helpful and will ring you out even if you arent buying an beauty supplies. Knocking off a few starts because its not exactly the most organized Walgreens but they try at least. The employees can be a bit quicker to get to the registers to give backup to the other cashiers, but that is the fault of the current manager on shift. If they were a bit more organized, quicker, and paid more attention to detail with where they slap their sales stickers and making sure to remove them after the sale is over, this would be a better Walgreens.
This is THE WORST PHARMACY EVER! They deserve ZERO STARS. They need an entire new pharmacy staff. I called to speak with a pharmacist. I sat on hold for over 30 mins, hung up and called back 5x still got no one. I called the Walgreens in Edison, someone answered, got my questions answered and prescription filled in less than 5 mins. Every time I come to the Perth Amboy location there is always an issue, not enough staff, extremely long lines, drive thru broken. This place need to be reported to corporate!I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!

Worst customer service on the pharmacy. The lady couldn’t even bother rato look up in the system my insurance, she wanted the actual card . I got there at 5:20 am and the only reason why I went it was because it’s 24 hrs but if the sirve it’s like that there’s not motive to even have it open. I would give 0 starts honestly .
Sitting in Perth Amboy drive thru to pick up a prescription for the last 20 minutes - 2 lines open and no one is moving! 7 cars in front of me waiting. WHY IS IT SO SLOW! Time to transfer my prescriptions. Adios Walgreen! Management needs to review staffing levels at peak times
The pharmacy department is terrible of course the people are nice and theyre not rude but theyre extremely irresponsible they dont know how to follow up. I cant tell you how many times Ive had to return to the store because somethings not right with my prescription every time!! I leave it Ive had to come back TWO OR THREE times because its not ready. I have four kids so I cant tell you how many times I visit this Walgreens but Im telling you right now, I will not come back and I will go to another Pharmacy and I will tell my entire family to follow along. Im not the only one thats had a terrible experience with this Pharmacy and I feel very bad because at the rate that theyre going, Ill be surprised if they survive their competitors. GOOD LUCK!
Not only is there always a huge wait for the pharmacy then you get a message prescription delayed for days, can’t get a hold of anyone on the phone and then when you do with an attitude they tell you it’s not going to be covered because it was filled at another pharmacy two days ago. Obviously is a mistake but how about communication. Let a person know what’s going on. This is medicine we are waiting for not a Tupperware order!!!!!
Great experience, I got some bad experience at Matawan Walgreens so came to this store. This is super busy store but staffs are very kind. They understood my problem and provided the solutions. Special thanks to staffs.

I had the unfortunate experience of having to fill my prescription here recently. Upon bringing in my prescription I was told They had 35 of my med in stock (out of 90) so I said great Ill wait. Waited on the prescription go to pay and get told that she,the pharmacist, will only give me five. When I questioned it she had a nasty attitude and told me that I wasnt allowed to have my pills for that day because it was already 3pm and theres no way I would take 3. Im sorry I missed the part where pharmacist=physician. Hope they treat thier elderly patients better!
Tonight is the second time this pharmacy messes up my childrens prescription. The first time, they gave us the wrong medicine all together. And tonight they didnt give us the one out of three most important medicines for my daughters croup. They decided to NOT tell us that the insurance wasnt covering it, they just didnt say anything and didnt include it. My husband got home with the bag with 2 out of 3 medicines. I called and they said that the insurance wasnt paying for it so they simply made their own assumption and just didnt give it to us OR let us know about the issue. They could give a rats ass about their patients. This is not the first time and I am considering filing a complaint with the bureau.
The pharmacy is always packed i had to wait over 30 minutes for my medicine when my doctor had sent it like 3 hours prior me going to pick it up. the line was crazy long, the manager really needs to do something abut this.
Pharmacy sucks, incompetent, untrained and dont know how to provide service. Went for a flu shot, made an appointment on their website, filled out the forms from the website for nj. Waited for almost half an hour for the one dumb guy to chat up two customers and get their prescriptions, and talk to his co-worker who came from break/early for her shift to just bs with him and another pharmacy tech.I get to him finally and he doesnt know what a flu shot is, says i need a prescription for it, how to enter it in the system or what to do. He has to ask about 5 different coworkers who tell him 5 times and he has to have them write it down for him and makes me fill out a slightly different form and recite all the information i put on that form as he enters it in the computer. All so I can wait even longer, I just couldnt deal with this level of incompetence and left.On another visit years before I remember I needed pain killers for my dying dog, pharmacist didnt want to give them to me cause I guess he thought a dying dog shouldnt get pain meds and wasted time by getting the vet to change it to some weaker pain killer.

Ive been in other walgreens, while I believe no store is perfect this has got to be the worst walgreens Ive ever been in. The lady who is somehow the lead pharmaceutical is horrible and not so good people skill, couldnt even take the time to talk to me about an item they overcharge me with. Just a horrible experience

This is the worst pharmacy ever that I ever been before my doctor wrote a prescription for Omeprazole 20 milligram dissolvable pill and the pharmacy gave me a 20-minute run capacitor and I hate swallowing pills I dont like so they dont want to take the pills back they dont want to take the pill bottle back esther the pharmacist is very horrible to stay away esther the pharmacist is doesnt know how to do her job right and the pharmacy manger doesnt do anything about her and he doesnt call the clients back about the situation

Im a disabled vet of war. This walgreens has filled my pain script for over two years. Suddenly, they say they will not do it anymore because I live outside of Perth Amboy. I live on the border of Perth amboy, exactly two houses down from the border line on state street. In the statre of emergency, in the after of hurricane sandy, ALMOST ALL STORES ARE OUT OF STOCK.... I been without my script for over three weeks. They filled a friend of mine who lives in Old bridge which is 10 miles away from the store. They will not fill mine and I live 1 mile from the store. I feel as if I have been discriminated against because Perth Amboy is a hispanic community, and I am not hispanic. I have filed a grievence against this store with governor Christies office, the Veterans Association and The better business bureue... without my meds, I can not function, and if I am without them I can be at risk of heart failure and die. This is how you treat a disabled veteran of war? F U WALGREENS! YOUR PHARMACY MANAGER IS C0CK SCKR

The worst Walgreens Ive visited, the worst employees in customer service, they give you information on the phone and when you arrive its another, and they say no, they never told you that, my worst experience with that pharmacy. You arrive with a recipe and last 2 hours sitting waiting and after all that time they make it difficult for you, to a point that you leave there angry and never want to return ... not even the amnager of the day is a person who tries to help ... should change the entire staff !!!!
