Excellent !Whats not to like, I normally dont go for places like this, but I really enjoyed all the beautiful baskets. I bought a holder for logs, it holds about 6 split logs, it is beautifully crafted and very sturdy.Highly recommended place to put on your vacation stops or for a nice day trip .

I placed my order on April 30th. After 15 business days I contacted company to check on the status of my order. I called, left a message with no response back. I sent an email saying I needed to hear back from them. Finally, I received an email stating my order would ship by 6/9 or sooner. I sent another email today to check on status. No response back as of yet. There wasnt a problem for the company to immediately accept my $130.00 payment but cant seem to respond back. Very disappointed. I hope the quality of baskets (if I ever receive the order)makes up for poor customer service.

Nine weeks shipping time-ridiculous. Do not waste your time nor money.

Spent $60 for a basket for my bicycle. The basket was nice but too large. Took it to the post office to return it and the shipping cost me $16. Today I see a store credit on my account totaling $28. Called the company to ask why only $28 and was told that the shipping cost them an additional $31. I guess it costs $47 to ship a basket back to them????? I explained that it seemed I just essentially just lost a basket and she told me “YES!” I would have never shipped the basket back if I would have known shipping would cost me almost as much as the basket. Guess I’m the one who pays for the “mistake”. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!Order at your own risk!!

Their customer service is so kind, efficient, and caring! Marge left me a voicemail after seeing the order I placed had a note indicating it was a birthday gift for my friend. She called wanting to make sure it was delivered in time. I had a wonderfully nice conversation with her, and it further reinforced why I love shopping small and local :)

I want to give this company NOT ONE STAR!!!!. I have to give it one star to be able to post, hurts my heart. My husband looked and looked for the right picnic basket for my birthday knowing that I have always wanted one that was vintage looking, but well made. He landed on Peterborough Basket Company. He was so excited to order it for me, my birthday being the middle part of July. He order May 29, 2020. He even ordered it with a name plaque as an Heirloom for our daughter. FORGET IT!! It arrived, and on arrival the wood was so dry, it looked like the wood would split in all the woven portions of the basket. I oiled it with cutting board oil, and made it look a lot better. I am not even sure it will hold the weight of the food for a picnic. I think a paper bag from the grocery store will work better. I was not upset that I did not receive it for my birthday, what is completely UNACCEPTABLE was the plaque. It is not even centered on top of the basket!!!! This is the first thing people see when you try to show it off. Which I am embarrassed, and will never show it to anyone. It is unfortunate that this company brags the finest handmade baskets since 1854 Vintage Collectible Basket Company and you pay a good price for it, and wait and wait for the delivery.Wow, obviously, the workers are incompetent and there is absolutely no quality control of the items that are shipped out. I do not recommend this company to anyone, EVER!S. Bustamante

Great stop, with the virus their inventory of seconds was low, but still had baskets to choose from. Very friendly staff, welcoming. Look forward to stopping by again next time in the area.

I was coming from Boston on a late afternoon on Saturday and wasnt sure if I was going to make it by closing at 5pm, but I spoke to and I presume the owner (I shouldve gotten her name!) and made it in by 4:50pm.The physical location is smaller than I thought, but they had all of the essential baskets. Im sure there are more baskets in the back room of course, but it was nice to know that the ones out front were fairly new (the one I picked up was the Traditional Picnic Basket w/Green vinyl lining 2-days old).There is a parking lot out front so no worries there. The road forks a little so depending on the side that you are coming from it will fork left for you to continue onto Grove, otherwise youll take a semi-sharp right onto Grove if youre coming the other way.

I have ordered from Peterboro many times for myself and gifts. Their baskets are beautiful and they have a large selection for many different uses. I love that their shipping is always free and that they frequently offer sales for an even better value. Shipping is not usually really fast because the baskets are hand made to order, however, they have wonderful customer service and once when I needed a basket quickly for a gift, they were very accommodating and got it to me quickly! I would never hesitate to order from this company and love that it is totally Made in America.

Always loved our visits to Peterboro Basket Company while we lived in NH and own a number of their products. Unfortunately our most recent visit last week was a great disappointment. The small retail section of the business is undergoing renovations. We were informed that it was going to be made into a museum and that inventory was low. That was an understatement. There was a minimal amount of items to choose from. If you are going to be looking to shop retail from the factory, you will not have the same experiences in years past.

Very slow in processing orders. Website claims orders will be ready for shipment in 5 to 15 business days. I contacted the company after 25 business days had elapsed since placing my order and was informed my order would not be ready for another week. No apologies were given.

My GO TO place for a memorable wedding gift - they personalize picnic hampers and coolers - and theyre GREAT quality! Ive got a 2 pie basket thats going on 30+ years old and I use it A LOT! its perfect for bringing stuff to potlucks! Check them out!

I ordered an Easter basket for my child knowing that it was too late to get it in time for the holiday. I got a phone call from an adorable lady the next morning at 9:01 AM in a panic saying they didnt have any name plaques left to complete my order. I told her to not worry because our child isnt due until next month anyways :)Of course, she didnt know that before I told her. However, I appreciate the concern and care they put into my order and will look forward to using the basket next year.Thank you so much!

A little hard to find with no signs. Its in a small building with very few baskets on display to purchase. The salespeople were very nice and friendly. The baskets were inexpensive, which was a surprise to me. They even had a shelf with slightly damaged baskets for less than $10. A 3.5 star rating.

I ordered their baskets close to my event. I gave them a ring and Marg (hope im spelling that correctly) was beyond accommodating and made sure she spoke to someone to see about my order. She was personable and got the job done! I was looking for baskets for a Food Festival I coordinate and after seeing the other baskets on the market and their high rates with horrible reviews i knew who to look to after living in NH most of my life. The baskets are always well designed, functional, solidly crafted, and just a real pleasure to look at and to use. The prices are very good, and they frequently offer significant discounts if you sign up for their emails. The outlet store is well worth a visit if youre near Peterborough. Its small and doesnt carry a full selection of everything they make, but its friendly and usually has the basics, like their pie baskets and laundry baskets, as well as a selection of seconds that didnt make it through quality control but are still perfectly usable and presentable, at very low prices. And you can order anything they dont have in stock in the store. Theres a nice bagel cafe a short walk from the store, and its about five minutes from downtown Peterborough, which is really picturesque and a nice place to walk around (and shop if youre so inclined).

I placed a review yesterday Sept. 28 and it has disappeared. My order was placed Aug. 21 and the payment charged to my credit card.Today Sept 29 I havenot received my end table. I CALL WEEKLY ANDAM TOLD IT WILL BE NEXT WEEK. Yesterday, once again told next week.
