Nice salon filled with beautiful stylists that do all types of hair and styles. I had the pleasure of Malynda doing my hair. She brought out the beauty of my natural tight curls. She is professional, kind and explained all that she was doing to my hair. I definately recommend Glam Beauty Bar!
I did not want to make a review but after taking my twists out last night and losing half of my hair in the process I had to.This was my first time ever getting anything like this done. I got Senegalese twists done by CeCe. First off the entire process was painful. As she was twisting, she was pulling my hair so hard that I had to move my head in the direction she was pulling just for a little comfort. I also noticed she was burning the ends to keep them from unraveling which I though was unusual.Day two of me having the twists my own hair was coming out of the twists. I added pictures. I’m not sure but I think she used the cheapest hair in the beauty store. I say this because it was extremely itchy on my back even with a shirt on I can feel the hair poking me. If I wore a backless shirt my back would be red and irritated by the end of the day.So just a few days of me having the twists my hair was coming out of the twists in several places. It looked HORRIBLE. So I text her and asked if it was normal she said it wasn’t and offered to retwist them. I accepted. Set an appointment about 4-5 days out. Day of the appointment I text to see if it was still scheduled because someone I know booked an appointment with her and she let me know she canceled it. She responded that she wanted to reschedule it for the next day. I accepted but ended up not going at all as it was already a week into having them. It was probably just going to happen again.3 weeks later I decided to take the twists out because at this point I now look like a hot mess with my hair coming completely out of the twists. I could see where my hair broke from the roots. What I thought was dandruff was actually my hair follicles. I was hoping that it was that bad but when I went to wash it I literally had a break down. I get normal shedding but my hair was coming out in chunks FROM THE ROOTS. My hair feels so thin now and uneven. I thought this was supposed to be a protective style but my hair is absolutely destroyedI paid $175 for this service plus a generous tip. I regret tipping at all it was not deserved nor did I get $175 worth of service. Please see pictures. The wad of my hair of what looks like dandruff is my hair follicles. This entire experience was an absolute nightmare. I will probably never get my hair done again because of her.Only thing I can say is that the ladies who work there are really nice. My sister is actually getting her hair loc’d by someone there and it looks great.

I really wanted to like this place. But my stylist ended up being pressuring and openly insulting. I visited this salon on the 16th of December 2020.
