Andy is very informative and extremely nice guy! I took my 50’s Les Paul Standard guitar to him for consultation. He helped give me some insight on the mods that I gave to him. He told me that I didn’t need to use them for the vintage sound that I was looking for since my guitar already had it. He also gave my guitar a set up within the hour.I couldn’t be happier. I will definitely return to him.

I made a consultation appointment: one pickup in my Gibson SG wasnt outputting a signal. Andy investigated a few components during the consultation but couldnt locate the problem right away. But later that day, he emailed to inform me that the problem was solved (faulty wire) and the guitar was ready. The fee was extremely reasonable. When my main guitar (a 1994 ibanez as80) needed to be refretted or replaced, there was only one decision and one place i was going with that decision. andy has a true talent and respect for the guitar, the results are amazing! my guitar feels as fresh as when i first played her over a decade ago. i cant recommend andy and braxton guitars enough! i happily drove across several state lines for the repairs and it was a most excellent adventure. if you live as far as i do the work is well worth the trip, and if you live in the philly area and need a guitar tech for setups, maintenance and repairs, go to 1901 south 9th st.

I 100% agree with the other “Andy is awesome” sentiments in the reviews. Andy expertly resuscitated my guitar, a 1995 Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor.I handed Andy a deconstructed mess and he returned a beautifully intact guitar. The wiring had to be checked and restored, the guitar had to be reassembled and set-up (it has a floating bridge, which I could never deal with).He has three other guitars of mine right now for things like set-ups, re-fretting, binding work, hardware, so I’m a repeat customer. His pricing is very fair and he’s thorough & patient in his explanations and updates.

Andy is awesome. Brought him my american strat and he really brought the life out in it. It plays so much better now. It was clear that he treated it with care and he had the job done in less than 2 days. Ill be inquiring with him soon about pick-up replacement!

Andy did an incredible job on an old beat up 60s Harmony guitar. He did a neck reset, new bridge, truss rod adjustment, new frets, new strings, etc at a fair price and was transparent about the process the entire way.

Excellent work at a great price! If there are any delays, Andy is more than willing to work things out and even does home service. I recommend him to anyone.
