Delicious coffee. I had the flat white, it was perfect. Cool looking venue with live music. Pastries were good as well. Lunch options looked really good but we had already eaten.

Got the vegan breakfast burrito. Note to kitchen: tofu and potatoes taste a lot better with seasoning and spices—like, any at all. Just because it’s the vegan option doesn’t mean it has to be flavorless!Excellent muffin from Crust, though.

The best coffee shop in Phoenixville. Great food and drink options; including those with dietary restrictions. Outdoor seating and live music on weekends. A must try!

Have reasonable expectations when dining here. As a small business, when they are busy, service is sometimes slow. Some details are overlooked.Coffee there is good, but not exceptional compared to places like Dunkin’ Donuts. Like chain places, food is not made fresh every time. They do there best, but sometimes their best is just okay. Don’t expect a runny yoke in your breakfast bowl because you know it wasn’t made when your order was placed. Have reasonable expectations.

We were there for the open mic night. Great fun. Staff was friendly, attentive and genuinely caring about the service and quality of our order. Food and drinks were tasty and presented well. A nice place that we will visit again to try more menu items and a beer tasting. Youll enjoy this establishment.

They are open seven days a week; street parking available and the staff is very friendly. Checkout their website for brewery and live evening music information.

Ive lived in Phoenixville for over 10 years and cant believe I havent put in a review for Steel City but wanted to share a recent experience. I placed an online order for some coffees about 30 min before closing time and started making my way over.Apparently, the system defaulted the pickup time to tomorrow morning, but they caught it, called me first, and confirmed theyd have it ready for me today. Great service, delicious lattes, and I enjoy their beer on occasion as well! Well continue to be customers.

Stopped in this afternoon to grab a coffee and study for midterms. Ive been coming here for years but its the first time Id been in for while other then just stopping by in the morning to grab a Guatemalan coffee to go. (Some of the best coffee Ive ever had I might add). I had a great experience. Awesome hard rock playlist on the sound system, solid wi-fi connection, great coffee, and good vibes. I stayed for about an hour and half and was productive. Will definitely back for some food or live music.

Ive always loved coming here at night! What a beautiful vibe especially at the stand up nights where everyone wants to just support one another! Starting to eat the food more and its pretty good! The NY sandwich is good. I didnt love the artichoke flatbread... It seemed quite bland and simple. Excited to try more though. They have a lot more vegetarian options compared to the rest of downtown Phoenixville!

Great, fresh latte! The place was pretty busy (Sunday morning) and the service was unaffected. The food (NY Style Fried Egg Sandwich w/bacon on Rosemary olive bread) was amazing! Not too loud to have a conversation and lots of different sized, self-serve tables. A must stop & visit.

I cannot say enough great things about this place. My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner here and it was absolutely perfect. Laura was so responsive since we first inquired. The food was delicious- we had eggplant parm and lemon caper chicken and all our guests were raving. It was the perfect venue for toasts and fun! The whole team was so kind and considerate and I encourage everyone to consider having an event here!

Best place for a breakfast sandwich in Phoenixville. They have plenty of gluten free options if that’s something you need. I love the egg and cheese biscuit! I usually order it with added protein (sausage) and gluten free bread. My husband likes the chicken and black bean burrito w/ added bacon. Their online ordering system, found on their website, is super easy to use and perfect for grab and go during Covid times. I’m thankful for all the safety measures they’ve put into place during this time.

Nice vibe. A little busy, which should be interpreted as energetic more than distracting. I had the vegetarian broccoli and chickpea soup. It was delicious! The coffee was okay. I just had the dark roast house coffee. The primary complaint was the temperature. It was somewhat warm, but nowhere near as hot as it should have been. The menu was varied, serving breakfast all day. Plenty of spots to plug in a laptop and stay for a while. Seating was average. Not uncomfortable, but it might be after an hour. I would go back, mostly because of the menu and its a place you can just be for a while.

The owners are crushing it. The food is way way better than I would expect for “a coffee shop.” I was immensely surprised with the quality of the cold brew, the loving community vibe, and the attentiveness of the staff. I’ve been coming to Steel City for 10 years off and on, and the new owners (who have had it for 2 years) are the first that make me feel energized about both the music but also the strength of their business. I love to see a local business who is diversified but also listens to their core customers who want coffee and music. Wait, they have beer now too?!? Heck yea.

As a musician AND music lover, I can say that this is probably the best place in Chester County to hear (and play) original music. It has a very comfortable vibe, and the intimate setting keeps everyone close to the stage. Very few venue owners have guts and commitment to the music to ask their patrons (nicely) to be quiet and listen to the performers, but these guys do. They have also worked hard to foster a community of local musicians, and do a lot to help beginning and upcoming ones have a place to be heard and get better. Steel City is great! (The food, coffees and desserts are great, too.)

When my to go coffee tasted watered down I assumed it had to do with an employee new to making coffee. Then I got home to make my own cup and it was just as bad. I dont know about anything else they sell, but it doesnt bode well that their selling coffee flavored mulch at a high price. Would not recommend.
