Went to this store for the first time today, October 12 for room-darkening shades and dealt with quite possibly the most pleasant, intelligent and customer-friendly individual I have encountered on this planet thus far. Her name was Penny. We had called, and coincidentally, spoke to her yesterday on the phone before driving there and when we arrived today(1pm) she recognized the voice from our phone call and recalled precisely what we needed in so far as window shades.She took the old shade which we had brought with us just in case, and disappeared into the back room with it to cut two replacements for us. Minutes later she reappeared and we were good to go. It costed way less than we thought and we thanked her profusely for her help and making this as easy as it was. Literally, in and out in mere minutes.We did take a quick stroll around the store as we waited, and they are well stocked and painstakingly well organized down to the nuts and bolts. Will definitely keep them in mind for future indoor/outdoor projects.Thanks for being great Penny, dealing with the public can be a grind. The world needs more of you.

I always find what Im searching for and the staff are very helpful! I enjoy the atmosphere because it reminds of a simpler time. Sort of like a mom & pop store.

Paid for two of the same color of paint but upon opening both cans they were not the same shade.When I brought both cans back to show them they were not the same color, I was told “that’s impossible”.I then had to wait while the employee opened both cans and proved to me that they were the same by putting some of each color onto a wooden paint stick. He then used a hair dryer on the paint to help it set.Don’t buy paint from here unless you like wasting money. Pictures of both lids included.

I go to this True Value all the time. The employees are always very helpful and eager to do whatever they can for you.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE! I needed 2 items during the Stay at Home order. I called True Value Phoenixville and spoke to a lovely young lady. She located both items I requested, offered me my options, then took my payment over the phone and placed my order for quick pick up for me. Great customer service and respect for social distancing!

My favorite, friendly hardware store. Great selection, especially in fasteners. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. I prefer this to Lowes or Home Depot when possible. Wont shop at their competitor in town.

Such a wonderful place to shop. The gentleman and lady who work at the store are so polite and kind. Its a truly warm feeling and they are all so very helpful.I couldnt think of a better place to shop!

We purchased two cans of the same color paint at Phoenixville’s True Value. When we painted at home the two colors were not the same. When we went back to the store they stated the colors were clearly the same and there was no issue to rectify. Very disappointed in their customer service and ability to admit a mistake in their paint mixing process.Attached are two pictures. One shows the paint on the wall. Both colors are dried, they clearly do not match. The other picture is of the lids to each can. This picture was taken in store showing them that the colors did not match. At the store they claimed it was simply the lighting and not actually a mismatch 🙄I would not recommend purchasing your paint at this store. Awful service

I went here for employment they where all about hiring me until they saw my old address and I had a baby. I feel discriminated. Hiring sign is still up!

They are friendly and helpful. Carry most anything you could need. Close to where I live also.

Ordered something over a week ago supposed to come in within a week i was calling all week tgey kept telling me tgey ordered it wen i asked them to check to make sure it was ordered cause i was wondeeing why it wasnt commimg in..they told me 3 times i called that it was ordered.after 8 days of waiting i called them back n asked wats takingso long now they tell me ohh it was never orderd n asked if i wanted to order again..no appology didnt botger them at all that i was waiting 8 days for nothing..terrible service..i will b putting it on facebook so people in phoenixville think twice before going there..

This store is a typical true value store some things they have and some things they dont this store needs their shelves restocked, The guy working the cash register needs to say thank you to the customers who purchase items no hello, no thank you, and no goodbye I guess this store doesnt need people to patronize it they seem too important to say thanks.
