There are not enough bad things I could say about this company, and I cant wait to leave this state so that I can leave this company behind too. Yes they finally fixed my problem but it took 4 days and I work from home so I missed out on 4 days of pay, which is real close to $450 and nobody is taking any responsibility for that..so I just get to be out of my money, and theyll give me a $10 or $15 credit for being out of service for 4 days. The entire problem with this company lies with the call center and customer support. When you are first purchasing their service, they have a very eloquently spoken salesman that sells you their product. Every subsequent call after that will be sent to a 24hr Indian call center that just reads off a wordy script in broken English. They help solve your problem 0% of the time.I figured since the call center is basically just wasting your time, that Id actually go up to the store itself. The ladies in the location are very nice and willing to help, but I had to wait outside for just under an hour for the line to move. All I needed to do was reschedule a technician appointment that the call center told me I couldnt do over the phone (even though I set up the appointment on the phone a few days prior in the first place).It really is frustrating that I cant get what I need from this company, especially since Im forced to use them. They are quite literally the only non-satellite internet provider for my entire apartment complex.The service works fine when its actually up.. Which is why I give this review 2 stars instead of 1. But it really doesnt matter since my service goes out anywhere between 10-20 times a day. I really do not think Ive had poorer customer service from any company Ive done business with. Very disappointed.*EditThe technician stopped by and said couldnt really do much since I live in an apartment and the complex itself would need to replace cables in the wall. He tightened the power cord, said that my only option MIGHT be to replace the router (but doesnt think that may even work), and left. The internet went out again within an hour of him leaving.
Suddenlink is the worst, EVER! They continuously hiked my bill up and lied. I switched to ATT fiber after 8 years. When I called to cancel my services with Suddenlink, they literally would not let me. They kept trying to barter with me!!! Aweful! I am so relieved to never have to deal with them anymore!!!!

ABSOLUTE worst service. The Wifi goes out constantly. I was told to get a new modem. I did that and it didnt fix the issue. They sent out a technician and he said he fixed the issue. Within 30 minutes of him leaving, the service went out again. How can you charge people money for a service that doesnt even work?!? RIDICULOUS!!
Internet is out 50% of the time phone line is out 50% of the time. Customer service doesnt exist apparently! I would like to remind the good people at Suddenlink that the squeaky wheel gets the grease but once the grease doesnt work the wheel gets replaced. You people are not doing your jobs and you also tried to take advantage of my 85 year old grandmother. Thats what kind of experience you cant expect with Suddenlink.

Worst internet service I have ever seen. Drops signal repeatedly throughout the day. Been with them for about a month - first modem stopped after first week, had to wait another week for one to be shipped to me (instead of a tech bringing me one the next day...). Second modem is doing the same thing. Call customer service - dont expect any help from them. Promise a tech to come check outside lines. That was 6 days ago, no tech. Cant watch streaming TV, cant access my email (Im in process of buying a house so as you can imagine it is beyond aggravating). Not impressed with them, not one little bit.To Dominick below - I dont use Facebook or Twitter. Ive reached out to you people and it hasnt done a bit of good.

SuddenLink is unable to provide Services that we pay for every month. Paying for high speed internet of 400 Mbps and receiving 2 - 10 Mbps. Unacceptable! Do we have any other choices? Technical Assistance cannot help. Road Techs have no clue how to fix.I have been trying to fix this slow internet for two years and seven months. I don’t believe SuddeLink has Personnel to resolve the slow internet speed. I will give you a challenge. If you fix the issue, I’ll take the post down. I am a Network Engineer and professional, and have used Suddenlink both personally as well as in business. I have to say that they are one of the worst providers to deal with. I tried to refrain from posting reviews as i normally never do this publicly, but something needs to change here. They have now been bought out by a larger company, making their service and product even worse than it was prior to the acquisition. They overcharge for mediocre services and jack the prices up on you regularly without reason. Also their customer support is about useless..... Their automated phone systems are a circular maze of options that inevitably get you no-where, and leave you disgusted. I think that someone needs to file formal complaints about this company to the BBB or state legislature. Their management and customer support hierarchy needs a serious overhaul. Would rate 0 if i could.My Advice/Professional opinion:If there is ANY other option for internet/TV service go there, these people do not deserve your business, and will surely lose mine.

The reason Im giving Suddenlink a 5-star rating is due to the way they are treating Covid. Only four customers at a time in the store, plastic shields between customers and workers, and it is mandatory to wear a mask in the store. No other business that I have frequented in Central Louisiana goes to this degree. I wish all companies would be this strict.
Suddenlink is the absolute worst internet provider I have ever dealt with. We currently have an outage from the hurricane. I was lied to by the employees as a way to shut me up. I was told the power to the main hub was restored then two days later I was told it was not. When asking them questions I get the same robotic response. You cannot speak to someone on the phone because the computer continues to hang up on you. Also we are still being charged for service we are not receiving. I have requested a credit and it still has yet to be approved. I absolutely do not recommend this company at all.
I needed to reach them for a modem they sent me and i was on hold for over 2.5hrs i was so mad that i hung up and never got to speak to anyone. No one should ever have to wait that long for Customer service. They have very poor Customer service and its uncalled for.

Then I was trying to get off the phone with him, he BEGGED me to stay on the phone so he could tell me about a promotion and after politely telling him no he laughs and says, “oh please ma’am” and then i said no. I scheduled an appointment for a tech to fix an issue at my home. They gave me a time from 10am-8pm. They never showed up and they never tried contacting me. I had to miss part of my work day and was unable to attend church that night because I had to wait on them, but they never showed up.

I placed a order to a rent house on 9/10/20 because my house was damaged during hurricane Laura I was supposed to get cable and internet on 9/29/20 they called the night before and confirmed by the way I took off work to be there NO SHOW. as on 10/10/20 and 10/15/20 NO SHOW THE LAST WOMAN I SPOKE TO AT SUDDENLINK TOLD ME IF THEY SHOW YOU WILL KNOW THEY ARE THERE...REALLY WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS IS THIS...SO ON 10/19/20 I RETURNED SLL OF THERE EQUIPMENT BECAUSE GUESS THEY DONT NEED MY LITTLE $249.00 A MONTH...by the way I received a bill for $102.53 for services billed for 9/30/20 - 10/15/20 my services was cut off on 9/10/20 was told at the office I had to pay it because the billing dept is different the the service dept ????how can you charge me for something I havent received??? Suddenlink is the worst company ever. We have been without internet/cable/phone for A MONTH now and there are still no Suddenlink trucks or employees in sight. Even when Suddenlink was up and running here, it still only worked half the time. You pay a ridiculous amount for services that barely work. If I could give them zero stars, I would. After all the these years Im basically done with Suddenlink, I guess I should say Altice now. I have always recommended and bragged about their service. But their Customer Service has gotten to a point of useless and unhelpful.

Only Suddenlink could break what Hurricane Laura didn’t. I was one of the “lucky” ones that had internet after power restoration, then the Suddenlink trucks showed up and broke the entire neighborhoods internet for what has now been a week. I wasn’t even going to request a bill credit but now I am!

This review is not about a representative from the local office. Today I called Suddenlink, Altice Mobile customer service in reference to my internet bill inquiring about a student discount due to the pandemic. At first I spoke to a representative who stated her name was Vanessa, location S. Africa. She was very matter of fact and seemed not know how to assist me, never offering any options. Her customer service rating would be a 2. She asked if I wanted to speak to a supervisor and I said yes. She then transferred me to Ahmed Yakout, who was not a supervisor, but turned out to be the BEST customer service representative I could have gotten. He was kind, patient and understanding. He listened attentively and proceeded to assist me in my request. He explained that by having a Suddenlink account I would be privy to emails that contained promotions when offered. He then spent the next 35 plus minutes searching for ways to provide me with a more economical plan. For this I very am grateful. At the conclusion of the call he offered me a different plan based on my viewing habits. Ahmed Yakout’s customer service skills were superior. If I could give him 10 stars I would! His consistency and patience were even more commendable, when at one point during the call he could not hear me anymore. He worked diligently to resolve this communication issue and continued to call me back during the process until I could hear him and he me. Thank you to Ahmed Yakout for delivering exemplary customer service and for meeting all of my expectations!
Worst customer service ever! Called on Monday to upgrade to 1 gig of internet and was told we it would be $9 more a month. Called 3 days later, after we decided to upgrade and was quoted 2 different prices by 2 different departments. Neither of the 2 prices were the $9 additional. Asked to speak with a manager or supervisor and was told NO!
I live down the road from my parents house where my sister lives. She came to my house from school because she couldn’t get to her own house since suddenlink had a truck parked in her driveway. I went over there to politely ask them to move so she could go home. The guy told me that they will move once they were done. They would not let me sister in her own driveway while it is poring down raining. These people are so rude and inconsiderate. This is not the first time any of us has had problems with them.

Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I have multiple homes so I had service at both. I decided to cancel my service at 1 home because no one was staying there and it was a waste. I called to stop the service, after being on the phone for 20 plus minutes I started to get irritated that the lady I was talking to would not cancel my service. I ended up giving her a piece of my mind along with a cussing and hung up. Service is so bad cable and internet not working. I made my payments using same debit card Ive used for 2 years. When I called today they was rude 2 of them hung up on me saying I didnt make payment. I tried to give them the confirmation number that was emailed to me no they didnt want it. I may be a few days late butI have paid every month. It for my disabled son and the payments keep climbing. When we first started it was like 89 dollars a month now its 207 a month. The government dont give that much. Phone hardly works but what cooked the cake was when they wanted me to inter my debit card again. Im saying a scam is starting with this company. They rip the disabled off by far

Signal quality keeps degrading, phone service drops out and have to reset modem regularly. Right now my wifi and phone have not been working for three days and they say I have to wait two more for a service tech to come out. Seems their remote fix-it doesnt work, cant understand them anyway.

Absolute worst customer service I have ever had. Scheduled them to install internet on my house at 11am. I sat there for 12 hours. No one came. I received an automated call saying they were on the way at 2PM. But one came. No one I called would help. I got a call at 9 that night saying they would reschedule it for the next morning and I agreed. Then the next day they said it was scheduled for monday, its saturday at this point. All they would say is theres nothing we can do on there end. All of their calls are outsourced to India. They do not keep their word. UNPROFESSIONAL! They do not keep their appointments. UNPROFESSIONAL! They do not notify you if no one is coming. UNPROFESSIONAL! UNEXCEPTABLE! Why give your money to them. This has been the worst customer experience of my life!
Our internet works fine but after one whopping week I can state that this is the worst customer service Ive ever dealt with. Technicians were disinterested and rude. They didnt ever move the jack as I requested but still charged me for it! I have emails and photos as proof and the company does not care. Ive spent hours on hold and no one knows how to help. If you value your time or money, stay well clear!

Terrible customer service. Same modem rebooting randomly and slow speed . This problem has lasted 10 days, 6 phone calls, 3 replacement modems, technician visit (who claims nothing wrong with house equipment or cabling) but problem is extreme low signal strength coming from line. 4 days and multiple it will be fixed today and problem is STILL NOT FIXED. Have had same problems as others noted, supervisor never available or doesnt return phone calls. Also that there is a local outage that seems to get fixed but doesnt fixe my service. Have filed a complaint with BBB which goes to Altice headquarters. BTW there is no way to email a complaint to Suddenlink (trying to send a copy of my BBB complaint to the local office)
Iv waited close to 3 week for them to come out had an appointment for the 15th. Got a call today my appointment was canceled and the lady said she couldn’t reschedule because the system. The office by my house is closed so they are going to continue to take my money for services I’m not getting
Suddenlink has terrible service, and customer service. I have had 4 technicians come to fix the same problem, each time the technician left assuring our problem would be resolved. Everything from my modem, to all the the lines at my pole at my house has been changed. My internet still buffers. I am waiting once again on a technican. 2 foreign customer service reps in 2 days trying to find information on a technician. They swear they do not have a number for dispatching. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and of course one was not available. I was supposed to receive a call back from a supervisor, and guess what!! A call was not received from a tech or a supervisor. I wish AT&T would step up their Fiber internet and put these guys out of business. At least give them some competition, so they will have to step their service. One star is still to high for their service.

For over a month, we have reported that at a certain time in the night until after we go to work the next day, we have no internet and no cable. We have called and had 5 different techs come out to say they have no idea what the problem is. Now about 5 more neighbors are experiencing same issues. -- no resolution and the problem persists!! Never had any problems prior to this new company taking over. We pay for a service -- and its NOT cheap, but we get we do not the service!!! Come on Suddenlink -- this is horrible business and no customer satisfaction!!!!
I try not to post negative reviews for local businesses. But Suddenlink has more than earned its one star review. We replaced our equipment multiple times because of interrupted internet service and unusable slow speeds. The technicians would never come out in the time frame originally told, and the wait times on the phone are upwards of 2 hours to get ahold of someone. After AT&T Fiber became accessible, we promptly switched companies. It took 2 and a half hours on the phone with Suddenlink to cancel coverage. Go elsewhere.

The worlds worst customer service. Let me provide a few details.1. I drove to the inconveniently located office in the woods outside of Pineville to request service for a newly constructed home.2. After about two weeks, I guy shows up unannounced on a Saturday. After tell me he drove all the way from Shreveport he says the job will require boring my neighbors driveway and he doesnt have the necessary tool.3. After an hour on the phone and a two week wait another technician shows up and said the installation cannot be completed because someone else will need to bore the neighbors driveway. This technician did put his supervisor on the phone who informed me that the boring was the responsibility of a contractor. He also said he has no way to contact the contractor or ensure that they do the work.4. Attempts to follow up by phone were greeted with a message that the call volume was too high and the call was terminated.Absolute morons are charge of this company and the City should revoke their franchise because there services is unacceptable. Congratulations DMV, someone has made you look competent by comparison.
I get 50 but paying for Internet 400! I cannot get any response from tech support. I have made multiple website attempts and waited for return calls for more than 8 hours on several days! Not only is internet speed slow, tech support seems nonexistent!

Stayed on the phone for 2 hours before speaking to a representative this morning. I drove to Suddenlink location and was still on hold while in line. The people working the desk announced that their system was down so I leave while still on hold. After another 5 minutes passes, the representative tells me theyre in the process of changing systems and she cant do anything to my account at that moment. I ask her why I havent been getting my bill in the mail and she says theyre going green. I told her I didnt appreciate not being told and I had to wait 2 hours to get an account number to be able to view my bill online. I still couldnt view the bill, however, as my internet had been disconnected. (-_-) It was not as easy as 1 2 3.
Oh my gosh. Suddenlink came and put a drop line in Monday night after I again visited the local office on Donahue Ferry. They drop is laying on the ground from the back of my property stretched out to my back door. It was supposed to be on the opposite side of the shop partially buried and then hung the next day. Now we have exposed hazards that Suddenlink has left and then they tell me that it will be buried by the 30th of December. And they will call me when they set the appointment up then advised me to call the 5151 number again, since I dont find this satisfactory. I have spent over two hours this afternoon with them on that number and the boy dont understand. On top of all this, my bill is far from what it was supposed to be but no one here or at the 5151 number can fix it. Wth
Internet is somewhat reliable and speed is usually decent. Technicians are friendly and do the job. My biggest complaint is the ongoing price hikes and data caps. New customers are lured in with specials and old customers are charged more.

Also I signed up for one plan and they put me on a totally different plan that was $20 higher with additional added charges; even the customer service rep couldn’t tell me what the chargers were for such as device protection. I was on the phone FOR ALMOST AN HOUR AND 45 MINS and still no resolution!!!!! My box quit stopped working so they made an appointment for a tech to come out between 2-5. He didn’t arrive until almost 6.

Suddenlink in a whole is just terrible! We installed 10/7 & today is 10/30... we still do not have internet service! The tech fried my cable modem & broke off the coax on the back of my TV. Never said a word to us and left my home assuring me someone would call me in 20mins to finish up he was going bc he had a long drive back home! We have had 3 no show techs in a row, my broken tv has still not addressed, today the manager for 5 Star Communications who installs 3rd party for them was suppose to be here btwn 10-11am and at 445pm he txts me by mistake and says he is coming to then say oh wrong customer, I am not. He never bothered to call, nothing. And this is MANAGEMENT!!!! It took 4 calls to update email and phone number before someone did it. And I received a 111.00 bill for service I don’t have access to & THEIR TECH NOT COMING YET SAYING HE DID AND WE WERENT HERE. Which I’m always home. Always I go next to no where at all. The store is an hour away from us and they are just as rude and unhelpful! I hate the are the only internet that’s more than 3Mbps in my area... they are the absolutely worst! I’m almost better off without the headache they case you!

Cable and internet have been down most of the day, you can’t call to find out the status there phones are busy. If you log in to your account it only shows there is an outage. As opposed to Cleco which lets you know about the outage and an ETA on the repairs.There technology is so bad I have to set a reminder to log in and check my bill, they are not able to email a notification when the bill is due.If this were isolated I would understand but their service is terrible. Internet is not reliable, cable pixelates. I have a second home in Baton Rouge, service there is with Cox. The quality is night and day, more options better service.We have no viable option. I will be forwarding my concerns to the Louisiana Public Service Commission and would encourage anyone with similar experiences to do the same.
Bad service wince they switched to contractors. They quit caring about the customer and its all about money. Technicians suck at setting things up right. For help you have to spend 30 minutes on the phone with a robot or person that barely speaks English

If there was a zero or minus scale I would choose that for this awful service that they have not corrected in almost 2 tears but never have a problem fully billing me for service that works. MY SERVICE IS AWFUL! IF I HAD A CHOICE U WOULD LRAVE!
The service has been good but the price has slowly crept up on high speed internet. I liked the gigabit download speeds but for content creators or those working through a network VPN, the upload speed is limiting and a lot better options are out there for less money unfortunately.

Internet cable or TV issues every two weeks there are issues. The internet is fast when its up and working but its always one thing or another. We have been cable subscriber since its infancy but now seriously thinking about going to Direct TV or Dish, but the 2year contracts suck but is cheaper. Whatever happened to the Fiber Optics that was supposed in all homes?
A necessary evil if you want high speed internet. Prices and service is even worse since bought out by Altice. Only a matter of time before ATT Fiber is up and running. If only local politicians would solicite competing companies to come in.

Had scheduled service to get internet installed and had a confirmation. No one ever showed and I never got an email or call. I called late that evening and some lady I could barely understand said she was sorry and would send someone from 1-5 pm the next day. No one ever showed. UNBELIVABLY bad service.
I have some issues with sudden link but its the only cable provider in central Louisiana so thats that. If you want good internet you have to deal with them for now.

Ive had suddenlink Internet only for 5 years now and had a great experience with them. In 5 years the internet has only gone out maybe 2 times and never for longer than a few hours. The speeds have been consistent and billing has never been an issue.Be careful when using these reviews. It looks like most people only write one when they have an axe to grind.

Overpriced and lacks customer service. Tech support never provided any more help than just verifying if we had a connection.
What did I like about it you ask? Absolutely nothing. Their Internet service is absolutely terrible, I would rather have dial up, It would probably work faster.
I was given a refurbished modem and my WiFi is super slow. I think if I pay for equipment it should be new!
Prices are too high. Antennas you can get at Walmart and put on your window inside youre apartment are great.
They are sooooo lazy!! A tree fell down on about 200 yards of power lines about a month ago and even after numerous complaints from neighbors and everyone affected by the disconnection in the area they still have yet to come out and fix it. Just terrible service. One star.
