T hooked me up on my tires. 4 new with alignment and balance/mounting plus had a deal on a set of the best white walls around. Walked out of there spending less than 400 for it all. Plus a free rotation and balancing I can use whenever I need it.

I honestly would like to know what is the point of making an appointment if I had to wait 3 hours for a simple oil change? Its not about the fact of waiting but the inability to set realistic expectations as a client. I was told to wait in store since it would take 1 hour, I stayed, no updates, no apologies, not even acknowledged me when the person who was helping me passed right in front of me. My car had been ready for 10 minutes and I had to ask twice until someone helped me. Very friendly tone of voice but very poor customer service. Lesson learned, I will stick to my local family owned service shop.

I brought my truck in here for a tire repair. They said it would be 3 hrs. I went home took the tire off truck. Brought it to them. 6 hrs later there ready to close and they still didn’t have my tire fixed. It’s a 20 min. Job. But I guess there not making money on repairs. They don’t care how much money I lost by not having my work truck in operation. I guess they don’t remember that I have spent thousands of dollars here. On tires. Rims. Alignments. Shocks. Guess I’ll take my business elsewhere from now on. Big O pinole. Totally left me hanging.

I ended up with a flat. I work in Richmond and live in Solano county. They quickly accomidated me at last notice and had me safely driving home the same night. Staff went above ane beyond and I will higly recomend!

Worked with Gerald who is super knowledgeable with tires! Definitely will work with him the next time I need tires. He took the time to explain the differences in Tire Traction ratings to help me purchase the proper tires needed for my driving style. He also understood that I needed to have the car ready by a certain time and was able to get me in and out quicker. Great experience!

Zero in the customer service. Ive never seen a business display less concern about a customers happiness with their service. Not rude, they just dont care, period.That being said the Big O brand tire is a great one. Just go to a different location if you want to leave happy.

Great service during my visit for rotation and re balance I was in and out for less than an hour with appointment. I was waiting outside for a phone call and the service advisor hand me the key give the thumbs up that the vehicle is ready.

Been a customer of Big O for over 20 years. I followed the new underwriter over to the Pinole store from Benicia. Stand up guy who brings service to another level.While their schedule can be impacted at times, causing some delays, my concerns have always been met and Ive never had any issues with their products or service.

I took my car in for an oil change and an alignment. I was told I was the first car in and should be out by 10am. I didnt get my keys back until 12:15p. I was there almost 5 hours. After getting my key back, I was then told that my water pump had a leak in it and that my coolant reservoir was low. I was then given a quote to replace the pump for $500. I declined. Later that evening, my brother-in-law looked at my water pump and did not see any leak. He did however notice that the cap to the coolant reservoir was unsecured as well as full. I then took my car to my father who proceeded to tell me that he had replaced the water pump just a few years prior when he replaced the alternator. He jacked the car up to get a better look and determined there was no leak. He did however find that there was a lot of engine oil that was not cleaned up from the oil change. I am very disappointed that this establishment would try to tell me that I needed to get work done costing $500, when in fact those claims were false and the work would have been unnecessary. It leads me to wonder how many people they have told that to. I had the good sense and knowledge of my own car to get a second opinion. I will not be returning to this shop and would caution others to do the same.

We were on our way to my wifes mothers funeral and we had a nail in the tire of our rental vehicle. Being in a bit of a rush and not knowing how long it would take. We were greeted promptly and the employees got right on the repair. I wish i had the names but we were in and out so fast we didnt get them. This was not only a great experience but the compassion the employees showed meant more than any review could tell. I manage a large dealership and wondered if my staff would have been so awesome. I needed 4 tires for my Mazda Tribute. Called in the morning and they informed me they had only 2 and will order two more. So I went in and met Lila. She was excellent! I paid for four tires and waited about one hour and surprise! They put all four tires on! I have been to many businesses and and experienced good customer service but this will be at the top.Very nice people and replaced 4 tires for under $600. Even Costco couldnt beat that price.Please keep up the good stuff guys!

My great grandfather and grandma was telling me about this place for years. They told me to go there and get your tires done. I am glad that I did.

When you go here talk to Gerald he is the best. After dealing with him I refuse to talk to any other employee. He’s super knowledgeable and informative. He explains everything to you in a way you can understand. He suggest what’s best for your car without making you feel like your being forced to get work done that you didn’t come there for, he truly does what’s best for the customer & isn’t just about getting your money.A different employee, tall guy, always wears a long sleeve button up, with glasses that works there is always trying to push extra work to be done that I never asked for. You have to watch him because you may have came in for an oil change but after he does a basic check of your car he may notice you need new tires and alignment. He’ll Automatically add that without even asking you if you wanted to get that work done today. One time he even told me I couldn’t get a copy of the rest of the work I needed done to my car after they did an inspection and he said it was only for their records lol I ended up getting what I needed from another employee.

I picked up an L wrench on 80, changed to my spare and came right here. I was acknowledged by the employee upon entering even tough he was on the phone with another customer. Formally greated and given assistance in less than 60 seconds after the first acknowledgment. The employee was concerned about my time and let me know there were four customers in front of me. When my wait was just shy of one hour and fifteen minutes my tire had been repaired and my car was ready to go. I was impressed and thankful for the timely service, the employees getting me in without an appointment and an employee carrying my purse and diaper bag to my car so I could carry my sleeping two year old. Im new to the Crockett area and will be continuing my services here. Thank you!

I urgently needed 2 tires and a 4 wheel alignment for my 2015 Camry Hybrid (one of the two tires was worn down to the belts) and Jerald was very helpful and professional over the phone in setting up the work the very next morning. Work was done very timely and competently-I even got a shuttle ride back to Big O by a very nice young man, Jesse. I was a Tire Rack customer (and this Big O does work with TR) but will now go direct to Big O in the future. Lastly, I was able to use a Groupon for the alignment which was a significant savings. Very satisfied!

Very friendly, helpful staff. I expected to have to return the next day because I arrived there less than 30 minutes before they were to close. They replaced the tires right then and I was on my way. Prices were reasonable, as well.

I had my service done at the Pinole, California shop...... BUT - when I paid for the oil change the bill came to $91 + which I was not expecting, usually its about $40 plus with coupon since my car gets 1 more quart than usual. When I compared it to last oil change I noticed I was switched to synthetic oil. I called to ask why and Don said its because that is what Subaru recommends - ( I have brought this car to this shop since 2014 and NOW Im this is being recommended?) When I asked why I was changed without being asked, he said it was in the paperwork and I should have read it when I signed..... I have been going to this shop for 20+ years and never expected this. Im not sure what or where Im going to do next time.... sortof not happy.

I brought my car in twice within two months for same problem. Each time, I was told the problem had been resolved concerning my check engine light. The last visit, the check engine light was back on in one week. Each time the bill was excessive but the problem remains unresolved. I will be filing a claim with the BBB to resolve this issue. I have been ripped off.

I came in thinking I only needed an oil change but luckily the store manager, T. Taylor brought to my attention my tires tread was dangerously low because my alignment was extremely off. He worked with me and even went out of his way to FaceTime the person who was paying with card and helped me get in and out with everything I needed as fast as he could. Great shop, I seriously recommend this place the service is amazing!

I was traveling from Utah realize my back tire was flat and I talked to the manager Lila and she realized I was from Utah and gave me a great great deal on four new tires. I appreciate the help and loyalty. I actually made friends with those guys they was very great at this location.

Service has been good, but this last time I got an oil change and oil leaked in my garage for a few days before I realized what was happening. They did not screw on a cap underneath which caused the leakage. they immediately took me in before I even got to the register. NOw my brake light is on and I was told I do not need brakes previously. I called in todya to discuss my issue at about 10am and was on hold for 15min.:( Oh well I will see what they have to say about my brake light.

Horrible ever since ivan left, 6 hours 45 min for an alignment . Dropped it off at 12:30 its now 7:15 just horrible you cant tell your people dont know this....... he told me would only take an hour . I will never again go there this is my first and last time under new owners . You should be ashamed of your sales staff. There is too many choices in pinole.

Customer service everyone wants. Ordered one tire, went in for the install. Not only did they install the one tire, they checked the other three tires and found they were installed incorrectly. They installed them correctly (no extra charge). This place gets customer service.They werent worried about closing on time (on a saturday night), they were concerned about the customers. Great prices, great service, why are you looking anywhere else...

I have been using Big O Tires for last 8 years. They are very convenient to my home so I can drop off car and walk home. Service is very professional and we never had any issue with quality of service.

Came here a few minutes after they opened @8:07 to get the oil change. Rude cashier. Asked about when will it be ready. He said. One hour, then he changed to1and half hour. Then he said 2 hours. Then he said Maybe more. Bad experience for oil change. Should have gone somewhere else if I didnt buy the Groupon voucher for oil change. I will not return at all.

First come first serve, so plan on longer wait times if you arrive in afternoons. Handicap accessible and restroom available while you wait.

Scam artists, big time! I took my car in because a tire was low on air. They kept my car for 2 1/2 hours. I was told it was no charge. I was very suspicious because I had been there before and they were very eager and greedy to upsell you to buy something expensive and will offer financing. Well, the next morning, the check engine light came on and my car was shaking so bad. I took it to a dealership and was told I needed an ignition coil. Total cost for the coil $315.Never again!!!

Got new tires on a promo (Sumu). BigOTires were the cheapeast in the area. Was able to call and get a quote over the phone. The guy over the phone was helpful. When I came to drop my car off the guy at the front didnt speak. I waited for about a minute and he said he could help me. Do not remember his name. But I do remember Don came in after and greeted the customer who walked in after me. Don also helped me when I picked up my car. He was very helpful and very very patient when I was having fraud alerts on my debit card!! Im basically rating from my pick up experience and the price. Hopefully the tires work good!

I can never understand why a oil change takes 2 or more hours

Pinole Big O is excellent! Went to Berkeley Big O for 24 years, no problems until...Last year they inherited all Oakland Big O business and are in Chaos. Owner phones it in, not present. Gave San Pablo Big O a try, and they couldnt figure out the 10 quarts of mobile 1 on the passenger seat were for my oil change. (It should have been on the paperwork.) None of the service people asked a question. So Lame. Went to tire shop across from Pinole Big O, great...but they dont get volume pricing. Stopped in to Pinole Big O for a Michelin tire quote. They are expensive! I was stressn as I bought a generic tire for my sedan, and the ride is stiff, not smooth, and it hydroplanes in the rain. I regretted the purchase. (I dont like that Berkeley never offered me a more inexpensive tire, some brands may be okay.) Big O Brand has a really good warranty, but I havent triedem. So the Manager overheard my conversation with the salesmen. He came over with a print-out of the bottom dollar quote he could do to get my business up to Pinole. It was $100 higher than Costco, and I dont believe in paying for the privilege of shopping. Costco support service is very delayed if you need a patch, not worth it to me. I am still thrilled that I could get the Michelins I wanted. Their advice was real..My Michelins cracked from sun exposure, a known problem with the brand. I didnt realize how bad my tread was on my interior tires, and that the deep cracks in the sides were a blow-out risk. They explained this informatively, no sales pressure. He educated me about 2 brands of tire dressing that protect from sun, and also suggested tire covers (They do not sell), and a cheap way to cut thin plywood to prop on the sunny side tires. Or, I could buy a cheaper more sun resistant tire. My salesmen noticed my quote did not include a protection against nails etc, which is additional cost for Michelin, not for Big O brand. He gave me pros and cons of not having it for $200 truck tires. I had told him I had 3 nails in two months driving in Oakland Condo construction areas. I appreciate his attention to this issue, and no hard sell when the plan was described. He told me to think about it, and decide when I pay at the end. They sent someone to pick up my tires, instead of having them delivered, so I could get them same day. This Big O has 7 service bays, so they can get things done. The management pays attention to everything going on, and I saw very good communication among staff. They will interrupt a customer consult to go over business...what the details of service for the next car, and which is actually next. I definitely want this, so they keep the work moving along, and dont make mistakes. Very good staff communication is critical, and I can wait 90 seconds no big deal. Be a smart customer. I asked, and he was so helpful to write the rotation mileage to protect the warranty. I asked about transmission fluid changing vs. flushing, and why it costs what it does. He explained everything. I got my tire set, alignment, and the 3 yr protection plan for a very fair price. I could only afford it because Big O has a credit card I applied for with 6 months no interest. It was easy to qualify. There is a great cafe across the street, and a fancy cupcake shop you can wait at. Big O has good coffee, and they offered me some fancy pastries. I am thrilled with my purchase, and that I could manage to buy the tires I wanted. This Big O is very customer oriented, and quality work for a fair dollar. I got the deal of the century. And because Ive been such a long term Big O customer, the manager offered to look at my other car tires that arent working out well, and see if he could get me some kind of credit towards a new set. That is above and beyond! As a woman I have to worry about getting ripped off with car maintenance. I feel safe here.

I will never go there again. Had a flat tire . Somehow I ran over both a roofing nail as well as a screw. Not only would they not repair the flat, they refused to put the spare tire on for me.Wouldnt it look bad if a customer was in your parking lot putting their spare tire on?

Hi I have a 2015 Nissan Altima and I had a good experience at Big O Pinole. Gary was great to work with, he’s very honest and knowledgable and patient. I knew the tire size of my car and I knew more or less of what kind of tire I wanted and price range that would work for me and Greg was willing to help me with all my needs. I even had him print me a quote. I didn’t want to be sold a cheap tire with bad quality but I didn’t want to over pay for a decent tire. I got the quote and said I was going to continue shopping around. He actually told me that I probably wasn’t going to find a better deal and he was right. I price compared with Costco and Walmart and other local places. One place wanted to put me in some expensive Perillis which were a little too high end for my car and a lot more then what I wanted to spend. Costco had the same price that Big O gave me for a not that great Bridgestone all season tire that didn’t compare to the Sumitomo’s high performance all season that I ended up purchasing. Costco and Walmart have good prices but Walmart doesn’t have tire locations everywhere and Costco gets very busy to where maintaining service is hard with the long waits. Gary put me in some Sumitomo’s and I kept my best tire as a spare and I also went back for the alighnment. You get two alignments for one price at Big O and their service was timely. They have good warranty’s and they have the buy 3 tires get one free event. I would totally give them a shot just do your research prior to coming in. Have an idea of what kind to tire you want and have some prices to compare too and I would ask for Gary.

Good customer service and got my car back sooner than promised

Last month I bought a $50 Groupon coupon for $100 worth of services at Big O I used that for a five year guaranteed alignment on my Impala they did a fine job on the alignment and Impalas have a known problem in keeping the front end tires aligned so I am going to get my moneys worth out of this over the next five years having it checked whenever I want. this week I received a postcard in the mail thanking me for my business. It included a free coupon for a four wheel tire rotation and balance and Brake check also what a great deal all for free. I used that coupon on my older pickup truck and immediately noticed a big difference in handling and comfortable ride. they do dozens of cars each day so expect a bit of a wait but they do have a widescreen TV and comfortable seating indoors and outside.

Save yourself some time and money. Don’t do business with this place. Came in 3 times to get an oil change. Over and hour and a half wait each time even tough I called ahead and made an appointment. The first two I ended up having to leave early without getting the service completed because I had to make it back to work. Finally on the third try I had time to wait. After promising to bump me up to the front I still spent over two hours here. Go to jiffy lube or anywhere else, you’ll be in and out in 15 - 20 minutes. Don’t think I’ll be coming here for tires either.

Had a flat and decided to replace all 4 tires since we still had 2000 miles to go...the staff was friendly and helpful. A bit overpriced...we decided to have an alignment done and thought it would have made sense to work with us on cost considering the amnt we had already spent, but oh well. Worked out in the end!

Service is good, facility is clean with free wifi, coffee. They provide free inspection while big o tires in berkeley charge $30. However, di not trust the result of their inspection 100%. They told me the tire need to be replace, stirring wheel liquid is out because leaking, oil also leaking, valve need adjusted. I brought my car to another mechanic and nothing is leaking, stirring wheel fluid still at minimum, tire is fine. So always get a second opinion.

Burned two years in a row by the same guy with little-man syndrome.Ive gone to this location twice, and had terrible customer service each time. In 2015 I bought 4 new tires. I asked the manager Frank, how do my brakes look?, they look fine, he replied. Just two weeks later my tires were squealing, and I was informed by a more competent auto body shop that my breaks were completely bare which caused damage to my rotors. Cost me a lot. This should have been noted when I had my tires installed at Big O just two weeks prior.Since I purchased a warranty, I came back to Big O Tires in Pinole on 10/1/2016 for a simple tire rotation and alignment. The same so called manager Frank was at the counter. I patiently waited in line for over 25 minutes to check in, even though I made an appointment. When it was finally my turn, a woman walked in and went straight to Franks counter and completely cut the line. Even though he knew she cut in front of the other customers, he just took her and didnt say a word. When I got to the counter I kindly informed him that it wasnt fair that he allowed her to cut ahead of the already waiting customers. Instead of apologizing Frank said, I dont watch whos walking in the door! Then he was rude, cocky, and dismissive with me every time we spoke after that.I patronize many local establishments all around Pinole, and always get great customer service. To get burned by the same dude two years in a row is ridiculous. Dont waste your time with this place. Take your money elsewhere.
