Various options from hot, iced and cold to tea, coffee and breakfast bites!This spot is located in the lobby of the mechanic Bank of which you can enter from the main Street or the side door. Prices are very reasonable!First time coming to this coffee shop and I will for sure be back - there are plenty of tables to pull up your laptop or book and study or relax.

All the people working here are very sweet EXCEPT for the manager/owner. I’ve had several bad experiences with that man along with many of my friends and family. One time me and my friends sat at a table and not 10 minutes later he approached us saying we’d have to leave if we didn’t order. After letting him know how off putting that was he said it was “store policy”. The most recent time my sister spilled a drink and the nice lady working there offered her a free one but after waiting for some time she approached us again saying her manager wouldn’t let her. I went back asking why not and he said “I’d make another drink for a CHILD but adults should know better” and that it’s “store policy.” My sister is 16. If you come here, these “store policies” seem to always come up at his convenience. I don’t care about the money but these store policies seem to disproportionately target people of color. After the incident he continued to belittle both me and my sister to the point where I was shocked at the amount of unprofessionalism used to address these normal issues. We informed him that his store policies need to be written down and he kept telling us they do not for whatever reason. He did everything in his power to make us feel small and as customers that really hurts. Many people from this community who aren’t white have said they have similar experiences with the manager. I’ve noticed most of his employees are often new. Even they seem to not be able to handle his terrible attitude. I’m young and my last wish is to come across as a Karen but it REALLY is that bad. I am not exaggerating don’t even bother giving this place a try the money goes to a man who openly displays his racial biases and discriminatory views. I don’t understand why of all places he chose to have his business in Pittsburg (one of the most welcoming and diverse communities in California). Trust me when I say Starbucks or Dutch bros is a much better option if you’re into good coffee and even better service.

Always a pleasant experience whenever I come by. The staff are always on point with the orders, with no mix ups. The quality of the baked goods are always worth the purchase. Now they roast their own beans in addition to what they already serve. I love the new “bar” seating which is a welcomed post Covid surprise for those who come to Steeltown to work on their laptops. All in all, when COVID19 is over I’ll be back more frequently.

Curbside pickup is a joke. No one answers the phone and they refused to let me inside because I didnt have a mask (it fell on the floor outside) and didnt offer a mask to customers, even after I told them what happened. What should have took a few minutes took over 30. (Ordering online and waiting outside). Meanwhile customers are going in and out while Im still waiting. Worst experience. I used to come here every week. Never again!

Yes, will gladly rate this place with four stars for the quality of beverages, selection, policies and great hospitality.Make sure to try few house blend roasts, which full of flavorful aromas.Will be back for more pleasant experiences.

Wonderful little local cafe. The high chai is the best I ever had. Always have to stop by whenever Im in town. The owner is very welcoming and I always used to study there when I used to go to the local community college. Definitely would recommend!

Very cool coffee house. Its located in the same building and shares lobby space with a Mechanics Bank. Its a little odd when you initially walk in.I took a little jaunt out to Pittsburg, CA just to see what was in that city. However, due to it being a holiday many of the stores were not open, their downtown area is small but cute.Like I said the coffee house shares the building space with a Mechanics Bank, but its cute, quaint and different, which I prefer. I wasnt sure if I had found the right place, since I had heard there were comfy chairs. When I walked in, I first noticed the 4 person tables with white linen tablecloths, before I saw the chairs. Seemed a bit odd for a coffee house.Both baristas were really helpful, friendly and nice! It actually seems more like a little bistro, rather than a coffee house. I ordered the Dark Cocoa, surprisingly it was only $2.50 it was really good, tasty and definitely hit the spot for me. I had wanted to try their quiche, but unfortunately they were sold out.I do like that their menu is written on their wall, of what seems to be made from some kind of wood or material that is like a chalkboard, as some of the text for their products was smudged.Because it was a holiday, parking was a breeze. Its all street parking with a 2 hour limit and no meters, nice!!

My recent visit yesterday to Steeltown wasn’t to pleasing. When I went to place my order, the young lady at cash register did not provide professional customer service and made me feel uncomfortable. It was like she was giving off a rude vibe like she just wanted me to just get my order and go. Now, I love going to Steeltown and the owner is really friendly and welcoming each time. However, this last experience may put a pause on me wanting to do business with Steeltown after that young lady provided terrible customer service.

I love this place. They care about quality and they are friendly. Prior to COVID I loved coming here to study. The atmosphere is nice, and I almost always see someone I know! Definitely has that local vibe and small town feel!

I love the French press in the bean that I want. I really enjoy the South American coffees. The treats are very tasty. The selection is always better in the earlier part of the day. It is a very comfortable place to surf and sip.

I waited 15 minutes behind two people. Had to leave. This is the second time this has happened. The coffee isnt that good. I think the counter workers need to be more business mindful. Maybe keep your conversations with friends and locals to minimum., or not? I have other things to do, waiting 15 minutes and never having my order taken is ridiculous!

I really like this place. Their coffee tasted great in the dining area is very nice. Convenient parking on a Saturday afternoon right outside the door. This is part of the mechanics Bank lobby area.Only issue I found peculiar... they have a bizarre set of rules regarding refills and take out. I got a 45 second explanation saying that you can refill your dine-in cup one oh, but you cannot transfer that refill to a paper cup for takeaway. but if you dont finish your first cup you can transfer it to a paper cup for takeaway. Is that level of control really necessary? It detracts from the goodness of the coffee shop.I will be back here if Im in Pittsburg again.

Last Saturday, Steeltown had an afternoon tea. It was awesome. We had a variety of finger sandwichs and tea. It was fun to sample new tastes! I got to sit with 3 very delightful young women. We all enjoyed it!

Im a coffee snob(tongue in cheek) so many places cant make a cappuccino the right way. Its not over frothed foam spooned on top of bitter/burnt espresso. If ever back this way will stop again

I always enter their door with excitement, and leave with fully satisfied heart, mind and tastebuds. The owner is super cool and tasteful, like their coffees! My favorites are the special lattes. Today was so hot, I got the Honey Badger ICED for the first time- and man oh man did I felt high on satisfaction 👌🥃 SOOO GOOD.Please never close Steeltown!

Excellent coffee. The Giants Mocha (dark chocolate mocha with a few drops of Orange Extract) is amazing hot or blended. The food only gets a Good rating becauseA) it is not made in-house and therefore necessitates either refrigeration or sitting on the counter for some amount of timeB) Theres quite a large dessert selection, and I do not care for desserts.

Came in to study and was pleasantly surprised they had Italian soda. I got a cherry lime and it was delicious. The chair I was in was comfy, lighting and music were great. Would go back in a heartbeat when I need a place to study.

Great local place to grab basic coffee or custom drinks. Everytime I come here, theyll have new hot and cold coffee and tea custom beverages that you wont find at a Starbucks. The place is friendly and in the reinvigorated Downtown Pittsburg area. Just a couple blocks from food places and in walking distance to other great restaurants and bars. Ive been coming here since 2010 and the vibe has always been calm and relaxed. Love this place!

Great local coffee shop in downtown Pittsburg, located in the Mechanics bank Building (props for oval mixed use of space). I really like the fact that the common flavorings are house infused... and the baristas use a light touch here...Most of the coffee is four barrel, not easy to get in east bay, although they highlight a guest roaster for the month that is based in the greater bay area.Plenty of seating available at a bar, scattered tables/chairs, or a large table in the back. The vibe is friendly and quiet, I try to stop in whenever I am passing by...

I really want to like this place. Its near my house and across the street from the bookstore. Unfortunately After going there 5-6 times I just dont. Their coffee has a funny after taste. Ive tried the Honey badger, Vanilla Latte and a awful med roast coffee. (THERE WASNT A DARK ROAST AVAILABLE)🤔😫 The staff is amazing and kind. I wish the coffee was just better. Maybe the machines need to be throughly cleaned.

Steeltown is a cool little coffee shop in downtown Pittsburg inside the lobby of a bank. There are a few tables to enjoy your coffee and a handful of snacks, but the main attraction are the beverages. They brew a good, strong coffee and make really nice specialty drinks. I had a spiced mocha (similar to a Mexican hot chocolate) and a latte. Both were well made. Great spot to stop in Pittsburg.

Been coming here for years. I enjoy the single source coffees and the different flavors. Pastries are fresh and the staff is polite and friendly. My family goes every Friday morning.
