Wow these guys were absolutely amazing. I have nothing bad to say and thats alot because I typically just dont trust mechanics and or auto body shops after my last experience in Mesquite. Josh was friendly, greeted me with a smile, and more importantly did what they said they would do. They gave me suggestions on future repairs to help my vehicle run smoothly. This is my new go to place for things Im unable to do myself. Also their alignment costs are 2 to 3 times less expensive then anywhere else in the metroplex.

Hellers was very helpful in their diagnosis and explanation of services making it easy to understand what the issues were and provided clear photographs. Though they were on the high end of quotes we recieved in pricing. Their service and professionalism were worth the extra expense.

Recently my 2011 dodge charger steering wheel locked up on me and I couldnt drive it because I couldnt steer it at all so I searched Google for places that works on dodges and the first place that came up was Heller Automotive. So I decided to call and it was early in the morning and I wasnt expecting a friendly voice on the other side but it was and that voice made me feel comfortable about a stressful situation. So I had my car towed there Monday morning and about 2pm that same day my car was ready to go and I was not expecting that. This a fantastic shop. Chip is a heck of a dude that has a ton of experience in the automotive industry. He has a great team working for him. These guys are professional and honest.

The first thing one notices is the professional and organized appearance of the shop, something I always look for when considering a new auto mechanic shop. This is the place to go! The guys there are awesome! Great customer service and very fair pricing. The check engine light had come on in our Subaru, so we took it to Chip at Heller Automotive in October of 2018. They diagnosed our car and called us with an estimate. They did the work faster than we expected, and we were able to get back to work the same day. Our car drives great again. Recently (March 2020) the car starting running rough again. I talked to Chip and although the work they performed was out of warranty Chip said he would take care of us anyway. He got the parts we needed very quickly and we were back up and running in no time. I am blown away at his customer service. I feel like Chip went above and beyond what most people would have done. I cannot thank him and his staff enough. Could not be happier with the experience! I will definitely be a return customer.

After being told by 2 prior shops I needed an entire transmission overhaul ($2500), I was quite disappointed. I saw the great reviews for Heller, so I decided to give them a try. Well these reviews are good for a reason, Heller automotive had the knowledge, and honesty to correctly diagnose the problem, instead of just telling me I need a whole new unit and charging me $2500. They got my transmission working properly for a fraction of the cost that other shops wanted to charge me. They only use factory parts, and are very passionate about getting things done the right way. They also inspect everything else, and send you pictures that support their diagnosis. Im really glad I found them, I would recommend them to anyone and would definitely use them again. I drive a 2007 Ford, so chances are something else will break in the near future, and when it does, Im going back to Heller.

We use them for anything from a simple state inspection, to major mechanical work on cars new and old. Chip, the owner, is a solid guy and very easy to work with. Called to get my wifes vehicle fluids changed from power steering, coolant, and brake. I couldnt recommend this place enough. My husbands vehicle has been a royal pain since we bought it 2 years ago. The car would shut off saying it was overheating when it wasnt. Every year inspection is a pain because the check engine light comes on, the computer has to be reset and then we have to dance the hokey pokey to get it to pass. We have been to multiple mechanics who just kept telling us to call the dealer who would tell us there was nothing they could do without a huge bill. Heller Auto came to the rescue! They went above and beyond to find out a weird situation from a recall repair that was causing our problem and even printed out the hokey pokey steps so we could get the computer reset!

Heller is a man to go not just for fixing your cars but being honest in what he says. He fixed my car issue less than 5 mins against a big shop quoted me $500 and asked to change the brake shoe. But Heller said it was something rubbing the rotator and he moved it . Issue fixed. He didn’t even charge a penny. Must a go for your cars.

Gotta love a place that will give you an honest opinion, even if it means they dont get to repair anything!. I went to Heller after being told i needed a front brake job at a dealership, but didnt feel comfortable with the lack of experience of the individual trying to up sell me (was there for something else). I went to Heller and they came back with an assessment of how much brake life i had left and they recommended that no work was needed at this time. Since we are planning a large trip i went ahead and had it done anyways,, and the cost was less then the big box dealer. They also provided a no pressure inspection that returned things that will eventually need attention, just not now. I will return.

Im a new resident of the Plano area, and Ive only had a few weeks to become acclimated with my surroundings. I was in Rowlett a few days ago when my truck wouldnt start, and I called Heller Automotive upon recommendation from my landlord. Even though I was on the other side of the interstate, Chip was able to help me arrange for a wrecker to come get my truck and he had me out of the shop within three days. I cannot recommend their spectacular service and professionalism enough.

I took a 2004 silver Toyota RAV4 here for a pre-purchase inspection and Im so glad I did. It was going to need $1600 in repairs and just not worth the price they were asking. Heller gave me a detailed description of what needed to be done along with pictures. It helped me make an informed decision and not get suckered into paying more for the car than it was worth. I hope whoever else looks at this car gets an inspection done first. Well worth every penny!

I looked at a van one time to buy. I took it to Chip paid the, I think $90.00, to have it thoroughly checked out. He said it blew a code which was the kiss of death for those transmissions. Whew! I would have had a $4k paper weight!

After looking at my daughters car, they determined that the issues were covered by a recall. They went above and beyond by calling local dealerships to verify the recall information before calling me and informing me of their findings. How awesome is that?! Unlike many other auto repair locations, who would have gladly charged us $1200 to repair the recall issue, Heller Automotive encourgaged us to take the car and have it repaired for free. Called and they didnt pick up. Soon received a call back to set up an appointment for pre-purchase vehicle inspection. Got the same day appointment. After the inspection, got the result via SMS 2-3 hours later. Upon request got results on email also. Would recommend for car inspection.

Came in for a quick oil change, and break check. Was very unhappy when i return to pick up my car and the lead mechanic was trying to charge me $1200 for a whole list of repairs i hadnt asked for. I still was way overcharged for an oil change and brake light repair at $116. Absolute rip off. Dishonest mechanic was going to charge me $350 per end for a simple brake job. I later found i can do the same job for $45. What a joke.

A big thanks to Chip and staff, he went the extra mile for me with my run-out brake problem. He worked with Steve Jones at Pro-Cut on car brake lathe for my Rover SC that has slotted rotors and brought in some specialized parts for his equipment. He cut the rotors right on the vehicle which turned out perfect, no more problem... thanks Chip youre the best.

I have only taken my 2 cars here to get an inspection since both my cars have not had any major issues for years know. But both times I was here for inspection I showed up around 10-11am and both times I was in and out within 20minutes. This is awesome as in many places I have gone too, it becomes a 30-50minutes chore and they try to sucker you in to buy air filter or windshield wiper or balance your tire, etc...

Great place to take your car and friendly people. They quoted cheaper than one of the other local shops and had my car back up and running within a few days.
