Just left the store, had to ask for help, no hello at entry...and felt I had burdened them spending over $400 on their merchandise; I used to shop there often, not going to anymore! No smiles, just a negative vibe. They seemed more concerned with putting out new merchandise than helping...
This location has great inventory, but I was in the store for 20 minutes and was never acknowledged. There were employees, but they were too busy chatting to even speak. I had several things on my list that I needed. I walked out and ordered them online.
One of my favorite places to wander around. They have great products and even better sales. I only wish they had cooking classes at the Plano location.
I enjoyed my class this past week at Sur La Table. The kitchen was gorgeous and the staff made the experience fun and creative. I chose the pie making class as I am in search of the perfect pie crust. I learned some tips that made the class worthwhile. We also made hand pies with wild blueberries! It was a wonderful way to meet some like minded bakers in my community. The store was lovely and I did some shopping with my 10% discount as a class member. I highly recommend the classes and look forward to my next one.
Very good Sur La Table. Cooks love this place. Good sales and markdowns always.
One of my favorite kitchen stores. The staff is nice and will leave you alone to shop. Good selection of baking and grilling supplies. Not very large selection of gourmet foods.
Excellent selection of chef knives and a place to try the feel of them in your hand on a chopping block. Found the perfect fit.
The workers were really friendly and helpful. I was in the store for no more than 2 minutes since I already knew what I was buying. I basically went into the store, someone promptly offered help, found what I needed, and the same person that helped me also took my payment.
Rudest and most condescending staff member Ive ever encountered! I went in to pick up a couple of very specific things. As I entered, I noticed the sign stating that they were having a promotion of 25% (some exclusions apply). Because of the sign, we looked at purchasing some cookware. I asked if it was part of the sale or if the brand was excluded. Rather than an answer, I was asked Do you have the coupon? What coupon? It is advertised there on the sign when you come in. I was told I would need to sign up for their e-mails, but they could do that and give me the discount. OK... I asked Chef John to help with getting the cookware off of the top shelf. I did not ask Chef Johns opinion about what I was buying or any assistance in making the decision. Ive been in the housewares and tabletop industry for years, serving as the personal shopper for several Dallas chefs; I can make a decision based on my needs. But he sure felt that I needed his assistance and information, and was absolutely condescending in his delivery. He asked what I used for oil...I told him butter; only butter. Oh, you shouldnt use butter. If you want butter flavor you should use... Really? Butter flavor? Seriously? He tried to school me on smoke points, using medium heat, and the fact that any non-stick cookware will get a film on it if I use butter. Laughable, since the very manufacturer for the product I was buying RECOMMENDS butter on that item. Ive used All Clad for 25 years...no film. It was a Berndes pan that I totally wore out and was looking to replace. I stopped him because he was really wasting my time and told him to just skip it...and he was offended by that: Im just telling you what I know, Ive been in the industry for years. Well...so have I, I explained. But Ive not treated you like you were an idiot. He was still going on as we left. My sweet husband asked me if I wanted to purchase the items we went in to get. I had to break it to him as we were heading toward the door: No. I just dont think Im smart enough to know how to use them. Side note: We went to Williams-Sonoma at Park and Preston and bought the same set of cookware. For less. With accurate information (including the use of butter per the manufacturer) and EXCELLENT customer service. Thanks, Chef John!
A well stocked store with very helpful & knowledgeable personnel.
Awesome place for all your kitchen needs. Cheaper (slightly) that Williams Sonoma
Are you kidding me? The site is nice enough but the ladies at checkout were dismissive and rude. We paid for our items and then they handed us a bag and tissue to assemble ourselves. Bad form! Ill stick with the Preston Royal location.
Customer service was great. Was first time in the store and they were very helpful with my customers order
Large-ish store with lots of great kitchen gear to look at, and super nice staff..
The staff here were incredibly patient and helpful in assisting me in selecting some new cookware. I left confident with my purchase and would certainly return again.
I went by this location on 7/18/20 and it appears to be permanently closed.
So many, so much, I never get through the whole store .. best reason to go to back !
Love shopping here. But you need to know your product. A Dutch oven is a dutch oven.
This place has every gadget you could ever need and they are very helpful!!!
Great store. Lots of gadgets, cookware, dishes and utensils.
I called about an item they carry at the store, asked if they had it in stock and was wondering what colors they had it in, when I was rudely told he had a line to take care of and hung up. Im sorry if I was such an inconvenience to you. I have worked in retail before, where I would use hand signals to let the people in my line check out and smile and waved goodbye when the checkout was done, while also helping someone on the phone. Its the little things people do that make us like going to retail store unfortunately I am now going to be purchasing this item online. Thank you
Location is closed.Loose my time
Beautiful store. Pricey. The beautiful people shop here.
Very helpful, very knowledgeable. Enjoyed the cooking class.
Its a great store. It has the more esoteric tools. Everything in the store is of top notch quality
The place was nice you can fine all kinds of stuff for your kitchen and baking but the lady at the register was a little to obvious on how she didnt want me to be in that storeLike the store was to good for me and I couldnt afford it. Smh!!
Nice people, good prices, wonderful products
The fat old bag that works at this location was very snotty. I told her my card was fading and I needed a new one. “Oh I can read it” - yet my name was still spelled wrong on the receipt. 😑. I’m sure she got my email address wrong too. Typical west Plano. A lot of people standing around gossiping and not actually working. I’ll drive the extra miles to the location on Royal Ln next time. The only reason I gave this one two stars is because they had my jam in stock.
Excellent customer service. Military discount.
Upscale vessels, knives and electric kitchen appliances
I could spend a ton of cash here on all sorts of kitchen implements.
This is a great place for all of your kitchen needs. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
Best quality products for your kitchen needs
Excellent place for updating kitchen supplies
Great selection of kitchen equipment, but it tends to be pricey. Look for special offers and sales to maximize you experience here.
I like the large selection of cooking equipment/utensils. Friendly/helpful staff.
