Was referred for a muffler issue years ago. Very quick and prices were so fair, almost hard to believe, seriously. Came back for A/C issue, that another shop were imho not being fair. They came threw like champs. Fair pricing, explained all pricing, and how thinks worked, why they worked, and confident this is EXACTLY the problem, and a big plus, they did not go down the route, of...this is also wrong, that is also wrong, you should fix it and it costs this. Nope, total focus on present problem and solving it right now, at a fair price in a quick time line......

This place is awesome! I originally started my day off trying to go to a muffler shop closest to my house boy what a mistake. We are returning customers to Pronto Muffler & Brake Center in Plano. It all started with Kia of Mckinney, claiming my vehicle needed a new catalytic converter. Which would have cost me about $3,800 to replace. Of course searching around for the lowest option,even researching on Amazon for the part only.Firestone auto care quoted me $1K and Pronto $750. Once Pronto started the repairs,I then received the best phone call of the day. Steve said,“The catalytic converter is good, its just a $130 sensor that needs to be replaced”. Im so thankful for these guys being honest. We need more people in the world like Steve and his crew. Steve was able to order the sensor and get it rushed to the shop in a timely manner. Thanks for saving my family money.

They told me to arrive at 8am and I would be serviced first, until they saw I was Hispanic. I was the last person to be helped 4 hours later. Couldnt leave because it was warranty work they were doing. Dont recommend this place to any enemies if I had any.

Came in for a simple weld after someone tried stealing my cat converter. Next day the waste of space human succeded in stealing it, so I was back the next morning for an aftermarket one. They got it done quick and as cheap as I could have expected after my O2 sensor was sliced too. I hope to never need their services again, but I know I will be met with good work if I do. Just note: they are first come first serve, so get there early. And dont get an attitude if you show up at 1 in the afternoon and are 6th in line. I got there right when they opened and they took my car right back.

Have had two experiences - one for my lifted F250 - after I showed up at the shop, they denied working on it as they did not see the job being sufficient money spinner for them - second time I wanted to provide my brakes for install and they wouldnt take that either - not trying these guys the third time as apparently they are picky on only working for higher dollars which tells me customer sat is on back burner!!

I had brought a muffler from ORileys. Pronto muffler changed my muffler on my Jeep TJ It had a flowmaster Delta 40 muffler that was a vibrating death box and I could not stand it on the highway and drones like a MF, so I had them change the muffler to a muffler I bought at OReillys and it is a world of difference and now 10 million times enjoyable awesome place I have been coming to pronto muffler for years, highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent at what they do. Quality and honest work. Been here a few times. My last visit was due to an exhaust rattle. Turned out to just have a hinge out of place and no charge. Honest people get my vote. Probably why they have been there so long.

Terrible customer service. They will fix your car likewise anyother place but after self service is the worst. If car causes other issues in relate or not relate to the problem you had fix from them, they wont care about that. Answer is straight: it doesnt have anything to do with the repai that you had from us. Please before going there think about the money and service you are going to spend.

I got a quote over the phone for a reasonable price, but they told me the quote was ballpark since they werent able to see the job I needed done. I brought the car in the morning and got it done in ~1 hour. The work was great. Fitment and ground clearance were great (totally custom job), welds looked great. Ultimately, they charged me about 75% of what they originally quoted because it was more straight-forward than expected. Cant argue with that!

Muffler got stolen from my car took it here they had my car for over a week and the engine light kept coming on when they gave it back to me. “Take it to Honda then come tell us what they said and we will fix the issue”Stolen muffler 900$Pronto muffler never returned the 900$Honda fixed it for 1200$This is the reason why all mechanics are looked down upon. Listen people don’t take your car here the place looks like a dump the building looks like it’s from 1980 just go to a dealership and pay the extra 200$

Steven is so nice and friendly. My dads car have a little hole in the exhaust so he is helping to weld it. He also check the car if need alignment for free. Dusty is working on the weld now. They are very helpful. We feel welcomed like family. They are super honest.Fast and quality service for affordable price.I and my dad highly recommend this place if you like to save money.

Use this place . No questions asked .I went to three different repair shops since I am new to Texas . Each told me a different problem with my car that I have kept very clean and maintained.One told me my suspensions have failed, other told me transmission . It was just a wheel hub and bearing . I was almost about to trade in my vehicle and lose alot of money if it wasn’t for them .No wonder they have been in business for more than 40 years .

Had a P0420 code on 2008 Nissan Pathfinder. Took it to Pronto Muffler Plano to have the catalytic converter replaced. I got there first thing in the morning and as promised, I was in and out in 2 hours. The new catalytic converter solved the P0420 code and the vehicle passed inspection. This is the third vehicle in the last 15 years that Pronto Muffler Plano has changed the catalytic converter out on and the service has been excellent all three times. Keep up the great work Team Pronto Muffler!!!

Have gotten a couple of different exhaust setups here and they nail it every single time! I got a aftermarket muffler installed here and it was installed correctly and price was fair at $60 then after a while wanted a louder car so I got all mufflers and resonators removed and new exhaust tip installed for $105 which to me is still a very good price. They allowed me to check out the exhaust before it was all welded together to make sure they were doing what I wanted, overall this place does a fantastic job

Once again, Pronto Muffler in Plano provided custom pipe bending and installation for an exhaust system that fits perfectly and sounds great. Their team always takes the time to do an installation of the highest quality and at a fair price. Better value than purchasing a full system from a manufacturer. Ive yet to be disappointed in any work theyve done for me over the last 20 years.

Went here to see about getting an aftermarket exhaust for my 2018 Honda Civic. The guy at the front counter acted like he didnt want to deal with me and was a jerk. He wouldnt even look at my car to explain the options. So I left and went to another muffler shop off avenue k Bills mufflers radiators. They took the time and looked at my car and explained to me all my options. I left Bills radiator and muffler shop a happy person and got what I wanted. I know now not to no longer waste my time at pronto mufflers. Bills has my business for here on out.

I had my exhaust replaced on my red Ford Mustang, Richard a mechanic, replaced the air conditioning hose pipe and placed a protective seal over my hot and cold pipes because my K&N air filter partition divider was slapping up against it and rubbed the material on the pipes. They changed the oil in my car too. This small business has what most other businesses lack: quality service at a competitive rate and trustworthy employees with honest and fair business practices. Pronto Muffler and Brake operates the way a ethical business should, every day and this is why I am a loyal customer to their business.

This is a very honest and well run business. I took my car to several different places but continued to have an leak. The mechanic here correctly identified the problem and made necessary repairs.

If you sit in the lobby you will hear several clients talk about their HONESTY and efficiency! These guys are the real deal. I was driving down 75 when part of my car fell off and started dragging down the highway. Id just had it repaired at a lousy body shop my insurance recommended.Luckily I pulled into Pronto and requested they do what it takes so I could safely drive home. They immediately had my car up and repaired it on the spot fast and for free. There was no sales pressure whatsoever to have other work done. Pronto Muffler does good, honest work for a very reasonable price. Car repairs are never a good thing, but they make it easy on you with the quality of service and price. Over the past few years they have done exhaust, AC, Brake, timing belt and radiator work on my aging Wrangler. You can trust Pronto with your vehicle.

These guys were great. what first was going to be a three day event, largely due to my schedule, turned into a 1 1/2 hour repair. Another customer cancelled and they went right to work on my car.What impressed me most was an overheard conversation between the manager and a customer. The manager assured the customer that a noise he heard was nor his catalytic converter that there was nothing wrong with that. What heard was noise was from the O2 sensors on his car. He also assured the customer that the noise was normal and that there was nothing wrong with the sensors. The noise was common in his model of car. He jokingly suggested turning up the radio. I was impressed that the customer didnt get fleeced for a perceived problem that in fact did not exist.They display Christian posters. That conversation proved to me they practice what they preach.
