I have been an Earmark customer for years and have had my stereo, backup camera, and window tint done there. I will go back to them in the future if I need anything else for my car. The service is excellent; everyone is very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly, and the quality of the work is great. It is an all-around excellent experience.

Shopping for car audio installation centers can be a confusing process until you walk into Earmark Car Audio & Tint. I visited 3 other stores and left confused before coming to the Plano site. My conversation started off with the lead installer, Javier and we just talked about options for an installed radar detector. Then we moved on to the head units and the best options for my car. No up selling, just a conversation and that meant a lot. So when Johnny was available, I knew exactly what I needed and was able to walk out the store with a purchase and installation appointment. No unnecessary purchases, just the pieces I needed to install the stereo.For me, service is everything and Earmark provides great service and it was evident with all the repeat customers I met that day. They took fantastic care of my car. They made it effortlessly to make an appointment to get my windows tinted. I arrived 15mins before my appointment, Johnny walked me through all of the options, and explained the difference between each, he even showed me real world examples so that I could get a better understanding of what it might look on my car. My appointment was originally for 4hrs, but Alan, the installer, informed me that it was going to be all day, because the scope of the work was much larger, I’m glad he took his time to get it done right. It looks fantastic, and the more I look at it, I’m extremely happy with the outcome. Alan and Johnny are rockstars and take fantastic care of customers.

My husband and I just got some work done on our truck by these guys. The store is really well organized and clean. The displays are really cool of all of the different sound systems they have. The employees seem to be really chill and willing to work with the customers. They know the products they sell very well and answered all of the questions my husband had to ask. Big pet-pee I have is a clean restroom and yes it is very clean. Keep up the good work you all.

Johnny and the Earmark team were absolutely fantastic. They walked us through the after market auto stereo and speaker installation process all remotely. We handled all of the details via text message or email all the way up to drop off for installation. Once we were on site the Earmark team showed us the stereo and speakers we agreed on and let us see them in action. They did a in person double check prior to install and made some great observations and anticipated our needs completely. Installation was exactly how long they said it would be and the cost was competitive. I will be using them for all of my after market stereo needs in the future simply fantastic from start to finish!

Great experience getting my 2015 Honda Pilot set up with Android Auto. Earmark really new what they were doing and how to install the best workaround. I love my new system and I know that if I have any issues they are always there to help.

I had my headlights upgraded to the newer LED style on my 2008 Hummer H3 at Earmark Audio on Parker Rd in Plano, TX. I also replaced the rear factory camera that quit working. I could not be happier with both upgrades. The headlights are amazingly better and brighter. The new camera is also much nicer than the original. Earmark did a great job with the installation. I was able to set a convenient appointment and they delivered my vehicle on time as promised. Johnny was awesome in his service and communication. I’ve been a customer at this location of Earmark since 1993 and had several cars in for alarms, radios, speakers and other upgrades and I’ve never been disappointed. I highly recommend Johnny and Earmark Audio on Parker.

Swung by to get an estimate on tinting a couple of windows on my truck. Thinking I would set an appointment for another day. They gave a reasonable price, and were able to do the job immediately. Nice. What I liked about them was, most car audio/tint shops are cluttered, mismatch displays, wires everywhere. No. Earmark was a clean, well maintained showroom. That in itself built confidence. I was installing my system and ran into the need of a new head unit. Randomly came across this place and man am I glad I did! Johnny answered the phone very professionally and got me in the same day, almost immediately, and turned my vehicle back to me in very fast timing (Andy was the tech, very helpful.) I didnt feel pushed in any way, and any question I had was very quickly answered. I am very pleased with the experience I had and plan on coming back for the air horn and window tint very soon!

I typically do my own work on all my vehicles but decided to give an audio shop a try for the new CarPlay unit I wanted installed in my truck (Nissan Frontier). They wouldnt accept my parts but it was no big deal since I could return them for full money back. Ordered the parts through Earmark (they price matched) and was scheduled one week later.I am particularly skeptical of any sort of auto shops in general but everybody I talked to was very knowledgeable and they did a very good job. Everything works as expected. I am especially picky with details such as wire routing and they even did that to the detail I requested. Overall very pleased with the outcome. Ill go back to Earmark for sure when I want an alarm and long range remote start system. Shout out to Johnny for answering all my questions (a lot of them!) throughout the process.

I recently visited to get a quote for window tinting my car, i was helped by John. Very professional and helpful on what i wanted for the car, i liked that he stayed within my budget i had to work with. I also had them sound dampen my doors due to rattling/vibrations from speakers.A few days later I show up and drop the car off, they finished sooner than I expected. They did a amazing job with the tint, I got all my windows done and the windshield, and the difference is night and day. I no longer feel the heat of the sunlight when its shining thru the windshield, my cabin felt cold on the drive home I had to turn down my AC. As for the doors, amazing difference as well, bass is way more responsive and clean. You can hear more of the subtleties in songs, before rattle/vibrations would muddy music playing.I am very happy with the work they did and definitely will return in the future to sound dampen rest of the car and possibly add a subwoofer.

Last week I had my MINI Cooper tinted with ceramic tint at Earmark Plano. I also got my windshield protected and believe me, it does maka a big difference, surely it is several degrees lower now. My MINI is my second car I take to them. Earmark is customer friendly and has quite competent technicians working on your vehicle. True, their price point is a bit higher than competitors, but so is the end result. Once again I am very satisfied with my window tint, my cars interior is fresher and the look is striking. Great work done on my Jaguar XJL. Replaced entire stocked system speakers with new speakers. Very helpful and took the time to give me options. Went beyond expectations creating extra protection for amps and providing a sound knob for bass and volume settings. I got too see the work being done on my car in the back area. Great service - super pleased!! Wanted to get a backup camera and new CarPlay stereo installed in my daughter’s Hyundai Elantra. Chris was awesome to work with - very patient, clearly educating me on the different options and choices, and just super friendly and low-pressure. All costs were clearly outlined, which was nice.We had to order some parts, including the custom-fit dash kit, and they came in sooner than expected and we get the system installed quicker than we had hoped, which was awesome. This place is the real deal! Johnny helped me through the entire process of getting Llumar Stratos tint installed on my A4. The tint has performed beyond expectations and the install was flawless. No bubbles, lint, hair, scratches, etc. are visible. Simply amazing! In addition, I had AL Priority parking sensors installed as well. They did some custom work and everything turned out just the way I wanted it and they perform awesome! Ive seen some negative reviews on here regarding price. All I can say is that you get what you pay for. This is not a discount shop and your not going to get cheap products. Do yourself a favor and invest in quality products, quality installations, and quality service!

I called ahead to make an appointment to get my windshield tinted and asked specifically about COVID-19 precautions. Johnny indicated that they were following COVID-19 precautions. He mentioned that there would not be any other customers waiting during my service time, so I would have the waiting room to myself.When I went to my appointment, none of the employees were wearing masks. Also, the waiting room is an open area right next to the entrance, so not isolated. This would not normally be an issue, except the business obviously does not practice COVID-19 precautions such as wearing a face mask at all times inside the store.They should have been clear at the get-go that they were not following COVID-19 precautions when I inquired, instead of wasting my time during a work day to bring my car in.————————————In response to the reply from the store:And I did call from the parking lot after I exited the store stating that none of the employees were wearing masks and that I did not feel safe. Johnny responded back “I am sorry you feel that way.” The employees were most definitely not wearing masks while standing behind the counter in the store front.

I had my 2016 Jeep Wranglers windows tinted there this past summer and all I can say is WOW! The salesman, Chris Sanders was a huge help in picking out the tint that would work best for me, he was very professional and helpful. The installer did a great job, I could not be happier. This was my first experience at Earmark Car Audio. At CAR Toys, I could not find someone knowledgeable to help me. I found a great company, Earmark in Plano and Chris who spent time explaining things to me. He took his time answering all my questions. I had a list of updates for my 2004 SUV, but I wasn’t sure if my older SUV would support the newer equipment.First, I decided to get new tinting for my SUV. They had a nice selection of high-performance tint to choose from. The A/C was never able to keep the car at a comfortable temperature because of the heat coming through the glass. I was surprised to learn that tinting can be put on the windshield where most of the heat comes in. This update made an amazing difference in how fast the car cools down.I updated my 2004 SUV with side sensors, rear sensors, a backup camera and a new radio/monitor. The installation was fast and professional. Chris was so knowledgeable on all the equipment. I liked that there was a large selection to choose from in various price ranges. I am so pleased with the new equipment added to make my car safer. Thank you Chris and Earmark for making this a fun experience.

Just move here, and saw the good review, figure I give them a call for quote. We tint all of our cars, and pretty knowledgeable when it comes to automotive purchases. Never felt a little belittled by them trying to get a quote. Refused to quote over the phone, stating they never done my car model before. We have a Jeep Gladiator, and a Wrangler has the same front window footprint. Salesman keep on saying Wrangler is not Gladiator, I will not quote you over the phone. I doubt pricing would materially change.I understand if you have a policy to see the car, but to get belittle over the phone on a quote feel going overboard on bad customer service.

This place will rock your socks off. They’ve got all sorts of cool things you can add to your vehicle— such as but not limited to: train horns, LED lights, speakers/sub woofers and tint. I come here every so often just to swing by and say hey to the employees since they’re so chill (Both Chris’ especially). The pricing for what you’re getting is great too. This earmark is phenomenal. I’d also like to mention the restrooms. They’re clean as can be. I enjoy this place much more than CarToys. Give them a shot at upgrading your vehicle first rather than another company.

Good stuff but a bit high on cost

I went in and asked the team at Earmark to (1) make it so my convertible sounded exceptional with the top down, and (2) make it look good. I didn’t want the car to look like the stereo system didn’t belong. The team did not disappoint.My new system is AWESOME! I can get up to 90 mph and above and the sound is still clean and crisp. I’m very pleased with how Matthew handled the sale of the system, and with how professional a job Javier and Jesse did with the install. Truly exceptional service and product.

Chris at Earmark has an outstanding customer service. Chris was honest with his work. He was able to guide me step by step and what each security system does, and how it is installed. He would update me once a day about my vehicle to make sure im up to date with the progress of the install. Which is very rare from other custom shop. Just purchased a Complete Focal system for the car! Chris was awesome at answering all questions and helping me decide to go with Focal products.

Called up Earmark and let them know that I wanted to bring in my boat to get some audio work done. I explained to them that I wanted to change out the head unit (which I already had the part) and wanted to add a 10 inch sub, amp, and two tower speakers. I was immediately told they were “at capacity” and would only do the job if I purchased ALL parts from them, meaning they wouldn’t do it even though I wanted to purchase thousands of $$$ of equipment despite wanting to use a head unit I already had. I’ve been a repeat customer at earmark and have provided parts to them before so I am shocked by the response that I received. Whoever I spoke with tried to tell me it was their policy until I told them that I was repeat customer and then I was just given a run around. I was even willing to wait two weeks for them to get to it, but nope, they did not want my business.Decided to call up scream marine in Lewisville who promptly accepted my service, allowed me to use my head unit, and I ended up spending another $3500 there before labor, Earmark’s loss especially when the person I spoke with on the phone claimed they were struggling because of the virus. I have repeatedly suggested friends and family to go to Earmark whenever they asked me about car audio and tint but I guess they decided they wanted to struggle a little bit more.

Chris is the man you want to ask for when you stop in. Let him explain their process and the difference between them and the best buys out there. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR IN LIFE!!! If you want it half installed for half the price you probably shouldnt be getting it anyways. If you want guaranteed work done right, walk into earmark last after going to other guys for quotes and youll see a big difference worth the price.

I had an amazing experience working with the guys at Earmark Car Audio. Matthew was all around friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He helped me to select the best door speaker, sub and amplifier combo to fit my Mini convertible and my taste in music. To my surprise, he was able to save me hundreds by taking the time to find an alternative to a custom built sub box for my tiny trunk. Also, the techs did a seamless install and they even worked a couple hours beyond store closing on a Saturdayto deliver same day despite the challenges my Minis cabin space brought them. Thanks to these guys, I smile ear to ear each time I start my car.If you want the best quality stereo equipment and install, take your car here! I had a complete system installed in my 2018 Toyota Tacoma. Ben and the guys did an amazing job. I absolutely love this system and this coming from a guy who sells high end audio gear(me) for homes. I highly recommend these guys for car stereo, radar detector installation or anything car audio related. They do it top notch.

I had another shop install a radio and unfortunately the radio started to fail on me. Attempted to install a new radio on my own, but noticed I had many additional wires I could not figure out. Took my truck to Earmark and they were very knowledgeable of both the products I had, but were able to take care of my issue in regards to all of the components talking to on another. The customer service has changed tremendously over the years for the better and extremely happy with how my stereo turned out.

I mean they sat down and talked to me and explained everything I needed to kno about sound quality.. all the other places I been to was nothing like these guys.. If you like music.. and you decide to to put some sounds in your car I really recommend this guys at Earmark.. I swear they the best that I ever delt with..

They are the pros to go to if you have a serious install. Made a significant upgrade to my older Lexus and could not be happier. Answered all questions before and after, even did some additional tuning weeks after the install just to get it right per my preferences.

Great experience. Matthew was fantastic. I was lucky enough to have the same car as he does so he knew what my issues were. He gave me plenty of set ups to choose by price. Everybody there are all down to earth and look out for the customer. Labor might a be little on the high side but they do quality work which is worth it.

I bought a 2005 Corvette with the original radio/GPS head unit. I researched high and low to find the right deal for me. There were lots and lots of choices between installers and and radios that would fit my car.Earmark was the next to last company I evaluated (out of 10-12 companies). I really had pretty much decided on another company when I went in to their store.Thats when the whole process blew up! These guys really know their stuff. Chris showed me all the choices for audio and backup camera. I selected a Kenwood head unit and an Ibeam backup camera.I couldnt be happier with everything, from the equipment to the installation.I wouldnt go to anyone else!

Very friendly and very blunt. If you want someone to dink you around and fill your head with a bunch of foolishness that you dont need; THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. Go to Car Toys, theyll do that for you. If you need a straight forward, to the point, honest opinion; CHRIS AND THE INSTALLER JOSE ARE THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS. I also had the pleasure to meet the owner who was EXTREMELY NICE and was happy to have business coming in, and believe me... they were not lacking in business in the slightest. This is the place where, Lotus owners, BMW 5 series owners, Mercedes owners, and Lamborghini owners were having their systems installed. I am privileged to say I had my system installed with them as well and will be going back for all future projects. Awesome Job Guys.
