This is my second visit to this shop. The good: great atmosphere, fresh tasty food and smooth espresso. The bad: I ordered a breakfast burrito and a latte with an extra shot and asked for cinnamon and honey in it. The young guy taking my order made a huge deal out of my drink order...saying it already comes with 2 shots! And then saying if I want cinnamon I should get a dirty chi instead because it would pair better. Cinnamon and honey are extremely common choices for a latte and pair very well in this drink. It’s not like I was ordered some bizarre unheard of drink combination! I’ve been drinking specialty coffee longer than this kid has been alive! Offering suggestions to someone who is indecisive is good customer service...being pushy, pretentious and obnoxious to someone who knows exactly what they want is bad customer service! I ordered the exact same thing on my last visit with no issues. I would give this place a 5 star rating if the employees taking orders would just chill-out and be more calm and respectful.
Not one bite was bad. Omg that was the most delicious breakfast We’ve ever had. For at least 3 months We’ve been to a lot of places and none of them can compare to Tony’s cooking 🥰 👨🏻🍳. The staff was just as great as the food; I just don’t understand why people would go there just to get coffee 😅 which is awesome as well... ‘cause everything is really made with love 💕We’ll be back soon X.O. Coffee 🤗 thanks
I cant recall the last time Ive had an experience quite as bad as this. This may be #1. If you like listening to loud rave music while eating over ripe fruit and burned pancakes, then this is your place.Came here on a Tuesday for lunch. I ordered a drip coffee and the guy says how about americano. Sure I guess? I ordered the cinnamon waffles and they told me they could do pancakes... not that big of a deal but weird. My wife ordered hoisin marinated chicken. We get our order in a timely manner. However right off the bat I was skeptical. The strawberries were nasty looking and the grapes and blueberries under them didnt look any better. One of the two pancakes was burnt beautifully. Digging into the next one, it was undercooked. I have no idea how you burn one and undercook another but XO made it happen. My blind grandma makes better pancakes. (Oh and they were $11. McDonalds has better pancakes. Not kidding)To top it all off, the music teleported me to a rave in Mexico and was probably louder than a rave itself.I honestly dont know if Im mad or impressed at how awful this place is. We had heard good things from other people, but I will not be coming back. I suggest you search elsewhere in downtown Plano.
Lovely place! Friendly staff and very quick to help if you need it with a decision or just removing an finished cup of coffee. Food is wonderful! I had the Shakshouka. Hate to admit its better than mine. Also enjoyed a wonderful Vanilla Latte. Will be going back to enjoy it all again and the music!
This place is a MUST try in the Plano area. The only “problem” here is that there aren’t ANY people - we were the only ones, so it almost looks closed. What’s the problem, you ask? Well, I want them to keep doing this! They have just started serving tapas for dinner - so the word is not out yet.In short: The tapas were amazing. I spent a fair amount of time with my mouth agape, looking stupid because it was so much more than I expected. These were plates I had never had before including seared tuna, mushroom risotto, meatballs and a meat dish with bread I wish I could remember the name of. They run a menu for a few weeks, then change it - so go check it out now, then check it out again later. We literally came into this place for an appetizer as we waited for a table nearby. We ended up cancelling our other reservation because they served us a full dinner! On top of it being delicious and having amazing service, the portions were generous and price was phenomenal. I asked my wife several times, “we ordered tapas - “small” plates, right? Are we actively robbing this place?” It was all so good, in fact, that I forgot we paid at the counter because it felt like a gourmet restaurant.Tapas at XO Coffee - go now or continue to live ignorantly. We will definitely be back.
I had the eggs benedict. It was great. Also had a latte. It was not very hot. My friend’s coffee was not hot also. Some of was mopping the floor behind the counter. It smelled awful. Change the water!!!! We sat as far away as possible and it was fine
You can have the best food and drinks. But if you have sloppy or unprofessional service, which do you think I will remember next time?Hot drinks are good and so are the eggs. But other than that I wouldn’t come here again. Guy at the register says they are out of everything all the time. So, no thanks. I like to have a sever/cashier that is knowledgeable on items that they have. And if they “are out of something” to then suggest something else.
I’d never been here before and the lovely cashier/barista with the red hair was VERY helpful. I asked for suggestions and she kindly walked me through their menu. I appreciate how patient she was with me. I ended up getting an omelette and a chai tea and everything was AMAZING. I go to school in Plano so I now have no excuse to not come back🙂
Great food and atmosphere! The server “Jesus” was very patient and helpful. Also nothing wrong with a little eye candy ;)
The coffee was very nice. Just regular black coffee but with a great depth of taste. The breakfast was exceptional. The bacon was a standout. Very, very good. Will be back for more. The staff were very nice.
Decent place. Very different vibe from the other coffee shop just down the street. My wife and I had a couple drinks which were alright.
I brunched here with a friend before work and we had the worst experience ever. I wanted a blueberry waffle and a lavender non fat cappuccino. I was told that they had no dairy options for coffee, they do not sell blueberry waffles, and they no longer carry lavender flavour. The service was not good, as the server later communicated to me that they did have skim milk, even though the barista said that they don’t sell it. My friend got the french toast and it was charred black completely, as was her bacon. She asked for it to be remade, only for the server to bring her plate back with the exact same bacon in it. I ordered the blueberry pancakes, a croissant, and eggs. My eggs were undercooked, my pancakes were runny inside, and my cappuccino was barely warm. My friends and I were refunded thankfully, but we will not return.
Nice place, and good coffees and lemonades, but if you close at 3, dont walk to my table with your purse over your shoulder and clean up straw paper at 2:40. Maybe say hey, were closing soon and then start passive aggressively encouraging me to leave.
Loved the food and drink and customer service was great!!!! It’s a cute little spot too. Played good music.
Pretentious and overpriced, with a lovely atmosphere. I would have been better off at Starbucks. My rating is generous because the staff were courteous and willing to help. The $9 oatmeal was a travesty! It was well-prepared (not soupy and not glue), served in a too small bowl for stirring, and they were unable to provide the advertised blueberries. Perhaps the menu should advertise Fruit Oatmeal, in case blueberries are not available. Regardless, theres nothing they can do to make it worth $9. The London Fog was mostly flavorless, with a hint of sweet. Certainly not worth the $4.50 I was charged. Im mostly angry with myself for staying the course and spending the money. I should have requested a refund and found somewhere else to eat. I paid the price. Now you dont have to.
Very nice atmosphere with long tables for bigger groups. There are few coffee places with this many food options, so it is kind of unique. We got the Nutella stuffed French toast, very good pairing with the bacon that comes with it. Also got a hot tea and a lavender iced latte. Lavender was a bit too strong but otherwise everything else was good. Can benefit from more outlets as well.
How peculiar. I swear I had a review here but it popped up in my list of review suggestions and my review seems to have disappeared!Anyway, this place is great. I’ve been a couple times and it hasn’t disappointed yet. The cappuccinos are great and the perfect size. Anyone who knows me knows that I judge all craft coffee shops by their espresso drinks—namely their cappuccinos as they’re my favorite. They are offered in one size (~6 or 8oz) and are a great texture with a nice thick foam but still beautifully presented with latte art.The vibe is welcoming and comfortable. The staff is always friendly. I’ve been in once for just coffee and came back another time for coffee and breakfast. I ordered the oatmeal and was a bit overwhelmed with the portion, but it was quite delicious. I couldn’t eat it all though.I don’t live that close to downtown Plano, but if I did I’d be a regular. Instead, I’ll have to settle for popping in when I’m nearby or passing through.
Fantastic little place in downtown Plano. Wonderful staff and very tasty food with reasonable prices.
Dinner from the Tapas menu is delicious, I have had half the menu and nothing has disappointed, all great! I will definitely be coming back to taste the rest of the menu.Service is friendly and staff is helpful, always making sure you are OK.
Had the lavender latte it was fantastic. Great place to get out of the Texas heat and vibe after visiting the park.
We went here for lunch after church, and cant wait to come back to try their breakfast!
Great coffee shop in downtown plano.
This is a cute little shop in a small shopping center in downtown Plano. I tried the lavender coffee and a breakfast burrito. Ive never lavender coffee before. The coffee was delicious but the lavender syrup was a bit overpowering for me. The breakfast burrito with all the veggies was really delicious! I would definitely go here again and try a different type of coffee and because the shop is just too cute and comfortable!
They were out of cold brew at 11 am. The blue berry pancakes were overpowered with cardamom. I like black pepper but the eggs and potatoes were a bit much. Cinnamon pancakes were good though.. only our second time there so when your in line it feels a little rushed to order as you look over the menu when at the register.
Great coffee and pretty good food. Super nice staff
The place was cute and the staff was excellent. The staff was attentive and kind. I ordered the cinnamon waffle but was told they were now pancakes which is cool no problem at all. My only complaint was my pancakes were undercooked and very Bland, even with powdered sugar, syrup and cinnamon on them. I paid $17.74 for an order of Pancakes and a lemonade I just wish that the pancakes were worth it. Lemonade was super delicious highly recommend. Dont let my review on the pancakes discourage you from coming and trying this place. I just dont think it was their day today. Definitely coming back to give it another try.
From the moment we walked in, I loved this place. Its a good size cafe with fresh made coffees and delicious brunch items. We ordered the mocha, caramel latte, Nutella stuffed french toast with sugared bacon and cheesesteak. That French toast and bacon was simply amazing. I would go back over and over again for that. The staff was all really helpful and friendly as well. Go early in order to get a good table!
I liked it more before the reno they did. I go there for the espresso, loved the wooden trays where they use to serve it before. It feels like their service is not as good quality and nice as before.
They have great breakfast options. I get my coffee beans from here. The espresso blend is good, but I like the Kenyan better. If you are on a diet, you might want to avoid because the temptation is just too great!
Great service, food and atmosphere. Workers are friendly and hard working.
Chai tea latte was delicious, but our experience with the food left me with a bad taste in my mouth. My husband ordered an omelette for $11, and it came with a halfa piece of toast on the plate. We had to pay extra for a whole slice! I didnt mind the upcharge so much, but feel like breakfast should come with one whole piece of bread in the first place...
Cute little place in downtown Plano by Haggard Park. Friendly service.
You ever know someone super pretty with just the worst personality? Well xo is this in restaurant form. It’s actually pretty shocking that a place with so much potential can have that bad/rude of management. Not enough room to explain the entire situation, but long story short, the manager was a flat out bully to my wife and her friend who was in visiting from out of state. I hope the beta manager responsible for this situation sees this comment. All I have to say is you are lucky I was not there, but then again you probably wouldn’t have handled yourself that way in the face of an actual man. Food is decent, but there’s 30+ other places in Plano with just as good of food and 10X better service. Wife and I will never be back.
I absolutely loved the experience I had at XO Coffee. Tony was so entirely nice and helpful throughout the entire experience. I threw a surprise party for my mom and Tony worked with my budget and provided a beautiful experience for my family and friends. Sam and Ian were amazing as attendees and really made my guest feel taken care of. I enjoyed every minute and I highly recommend doing your events here. 10/10. Thank you guys so much. I am forever grateful for you.
Outstanding - Service and food. Great stop for morning coffee and croissant. Finally a place with good European style coffee. I believe this will become our downtown Plano stop. Nice for a lite, quick lunch. Try it. Still practicing COVID 19 protocol.
An unexpected visit, yet pleasant. Met with a friend for an early brunch. Liked the atmosphere, the food.
Lavender coffee was great! Im surprised Ive never seen that flavor combination anywhere else
Go check out Chef Tony yall... most definitely best chef in the game.
Met a friend here for coffee yesterday...and just thinking about how much I enjoyed it! I had their medium roast coffee and added a shot of espresso....such a yummy full flavor without a hint of bitterness(my friend had a latte with lavender). Their huge cranberry scone is the best I’ve ever had. Not too sweet or dry, but amazingly buttery (I’m thinking croissant here). Great atmosphere and music....very nice staff and service. I’ll be back! 😊
The workers here were very nice and attentive but everything else in here was just okay. The vanilla latte had no flavor, the chai tea latte didnt taste like chai. The food just tastes like something I can make at home, and even though it was good portions I feel like I wasted almost $40. Wouldnt recommend this place to my friends.
I go to XO Coffee almost every Thursday with my school wife. I order the iced caramel latte that taste like heaven. I also always get a dessert every time. I love how they have different desserts each time I go. The atmosphere is amazing. Plus the employees are so nice and helpful, they make sure your table is always clean and they make sure that their customers are well taken care of. Hands down one of the best coffee shops I have been to. The design is so cute, it makes me feel like love is all around. ;)
Great cortado and pumpkin bread!
Order & pay before sitting down.. good food.
Excellent little place in downtown Plano. This coffee bistro is in an area where there are a lot of small local restaurants and shops. There is ample parking. It is a popular area where the locals walk around in the evening. It’s across the street from Lockhart bbq. If you want a big chain atmosphere with poor coffee and overpriced everything then find the Fivebucks I mean starbucks nearby. If you want great priced coffee made perfect by a local barista, then this place is for you. They use local roasted beans and the blend that I had was amazingly tasty. It was smooth fruity with very little acidity and almost no bitterness. It’s cheaper than the Fivebucks chain too. I’ll be back.
Great atmosphere but if I were to come back I would ask for eggs to be not moist and bacon cooked longer as it ruined the experience. Coffee is bitter and takes alot of sugar to override the flavor. Disappointed as I feel as if a minute more in the kitchen wouldve solved this. Overall greasy and eggs were too moist for being scrambled. $12 for this combo was a bit steep.
Great service, attitude, coffee, food and vibe. Glad I found this place and now have a spot to come and start my day properly.
The people are great the coffee and food are great, were there for the first night of the dinner time, and Food was amazing. But wasnt inpressed that they had the door wide open and making it hot inside and letting the Flys fly around our food.
I eat here every time I’m in town and every time it’s absolutely delicious, my bf was a regular and got me hooked! One time the chef sent us a slice of cake 🍰 to show his appreciation, what a great guy. Customer service is always amazing and the chef always throws down when it comes to our meals. This is probably one of the best breakfast places I’ve ever been to hands down and I intend to eat here every chance I get! Thanks for keeping us full and satisfied XO!
One of the best, if not THE best mocha lattes I’ve had. Not TOO sweet, NOT too burned or bitter, just creamy RIGHT. Friendly helpful positive workers. Clean interior with fun decor. Interesting unique flavors to try in future (like pumpkin soup and house made lavender syrup).
The coffee here is so good! And the service is good too, they are very aware and attentive
So Ive found a place that is a complete treasure!!!! We had breakfast here on Sunday and it was so balanced with flavor, taste, and size. The mixture of atmosphere with excellent art made the experience perfect for lack of better words to use. If you find yourself in Plano I da re you to expose your taste buds to, what I consider a symphony of tasting, and a pleasurable morning that will lead you into a day of bliss remembering your expeirence!!! Thank you xo my weekend was completely full after leaving there.
On Sunday at 11.00 oclock, they are run out of egg benedict, which was the reason for the visit place. What a disappointing Sunday morning!
Cutest little coffee shop in Downtown Plano. Good coffee, great study environment. Super nice staff! 10/10 Recommend if youre in the area!
After I placed my order, I heard two of the male employees talking about how they service people who don’t tip. Not pleasant. I like the food but you couldn’t be more obvious talking about customers right in front of them.
Food was good but coffee was on the acidity side.
My dad, My daughter & I visited this shop for our monthly hang out and it is in my top 5 for sure. They were very accommadating to making my daughters drink to her liking and were fairly quick at cleaning tables when a party would leave so that we could sit down. Ham & Swiss sandwhich with veggies was SO good! That side of veggies! I NEED the recipe!
Only had coffee and didnt care for it.
Can’t believe it took me so long to go here! I went for lunch on Friday and it wasn’t too crowded or too loud. My friend and I could easily hear each other- not the case at some coffee shops. I got the smoked lox avocado toast, per an employees suggestion. Not something I would have picked but it was so good. Also got a vanilla latte that was good.
If you don’t get orders through grubhub don’t put yourself on grubhub and waste people’s time. Horrible experience
The service is usually good.
Love this place! All of the employees are so friendly and it is really cute inside. I order a chai latte and it was equally beautifully presented and delicious. I also got the eggs Benedict with crispy bacon! So yummy! I will definitely be back again!
Lovely coffee shop in downtown Plano. Went with my uncle who is an old fashioned, drip coffee only kind of guy and we both enjoyed it. Coffee was good (I got a mocha). Decor is interesting. We really enjoyed the photos of the building from when they were doing the rehab and talking about what the building might have been used for originally.Does seem to be more female oriented as we might have been the only male customers there. If this bothers you then you can always get your coffee to go and visit Shinola up the street.
This place is super pretty and trendy. I loved the decor and style. The staff is friendly and helpful. That would make it 5 stars. But the actual quality and taste of the drinks and food brings it down to 2 stars. I was disappointed in their smoothie, turned out to be more of an extremely sweet milkshake (great milkshake but terrible smoothie), they were very understanding and swapped it for lemonade (which was ok, its not hard to make lemonade, I dont know what it was about it that made it barely drinkable). I got a sandwich for takeout, that was also just okay (I dont ask for the moon in a sandwich just that is better than what I can make at home and it wasnt, it was less), it came with some sort of veggie side salad that smelled amazing but I couldnt eat because of the onions, I suspect it was really good.
Have been there twice. We were there during open mic. We ordered the Patti melt and veggie tacos. The two of us that ate the Patti melt became incredibly sick. When I contacted the manager, he made excuses and offered no apology. Nothing. He said their meat was fresh from that day. He insinuated that maybe we were just allergic to the seasonings. I think I would know if Im allergic to cinnamon, cardamom🙄 The lack of good customer service is what left me feeling incredibly disappointed. Im sure every restaurant has issues like this but making your customer feel like you could care less, now that is a shame. The staff is always nice but this man should not be the manager if he lacks customer service skills.
