Plano Guitar Center. Please check your purchased from this store (in-store or pickup) as they tried to sell an open box Yamaha keyboard as new in box when I did my store pickup. They gave me an open box item and trying to give me as new.My wife got suspicious as the box was tape twice.I thought nothing of it till i lift up the box to leave the store, and the keyboard inside just move freely.Luckily we opened it in the parking lot and found out that the keyboard has no packaging foam inside and all the manuals are already outside their plastic packaging. So we just went back inside and return/cancel the order.Just sharing our experience .. and open your item as soon as possible.
I enjoyed my experience here. Although I didnt purchase my guitar from here I did purchase an amp and had their guitar tech set up my new electric and replace the strings which turned out well. It was a good experience overall and Ill keep checking their inventory from time to time to look for another instrument to purchase in the future.
I always have the best experience at this store. Everybody was so helpful and polite. I know nothing about guitars but I was there with my husband to get him a b-day present and Alex helped us out and answer all my questions. She was great!
The input jack for my guitar was broke and the lower strings made a weird noise when bending. Went to the repair center and the person did a splendid job and did not charge me anything. Amazing.
Had a horrible experience. Purchased a Bass this Morning, go t the confirmation. I even got a call back from a call I had made the night before, that the first instrument I was interested in, was no longer available, but congratulated me on the new purchase. Hours later I get an email from Guitar Center, saying that they received my cancellation, when I never cancelled a thing. When I called, the agent was rude, said nothing can be done, and that is just the way the system works, The bass had been sold. Not respecting the confirmation number I had in writing.I believe they sold under me, which is wrong, specially when you already have a confirmation. No customer service, and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, the agent said that they do no take those calls. and he can only offer me 15% off on my next purchase. 15% off a product that he had on back order and was double the price.Where is your solution? Where is your customer service?to you guys I am just someone buying from you, anther number. Sad to see you guys do things like that
Awesome- Brooks helped me find the right amp today and Blake has helped me here before- very patient, helpful, knowledgable people here. They let me try out several amps and had great advice. I love my new amp! This location is awesome
We bought our sons piano from there. Good customer service and not too pushy with sales. Totally recommend.
The customer service was amazing. I was recommended to go to this specific guitar center and my experience was unforgettable! They had a wide variety of instruments from used to brand new. Jared went above and behind to help me find my first guitar and amp, and IM IN LOVE WITH THEM! His assistance and patience was was phenomenal and his knowledge about the guitars and amps was remarkable. Keep up the GREAT work!
The guy who helped me was extremely busy but stopped any way and got me what I needed. He even called another Store~ see if they had my part. wish I got his name
Customer service is just phenomenal. I walked into this store looking to buy a guitar for my daughter who wants to learn how to play this new instrument and Brooks patiently helped us identify the best guitar available within our price range. His help was invaluable and his guitar knowledge is impressive. Keep up the good work!
It was great, better than the last experience I had one the guitar center in Mesquite, the guy was very helpful and knowledgeable
Came in to get my electric guitar set-up. Really happy with how it plays now.
Always love to go to Guitar Center Plano. The team there is knowledgeable and friendly.
EXCELLENT SERVICE ALWAYS HELPFUL!! VERY FRENDLY .IVE TAKEN MY GUITAR IN TO BE SET UP ..THEY WERE PROMPT DIDNT HAVE TO WAIT ALONG TIME .I WILL CONTINUE TO GO THERE !!!!
Amazing service! Dan was awesome in providing information and helping my mother and I find the perfect electric drum set that was in our price range. This guy was super nice and super helpful!
ARLINGTON STORE! Wouldnt let me return/exchange a Christmas Gift! They said it was purchased at the end of November and they wont do it. I didnt know when it was purchased, it was a gift. Ive been going to this location for over two decades!! Not anymore though. No Musicians Friend/Guitar Center or any other name they use.
It was good branch of guitar center but in drum set side, specially hand drums, they need to bring more than just 2 -3 djembe or other hand percussions.
I have been to this store many times over the years. I feel they are over-priced and have horrible service. I went to a Guitar Center in Kentucky and received great service.
Traded a guitar to them and purchased an acoustic. They gave me fair value for my trade and discounted the acoustic. Went there last night with a guitar cable that crapped out on me and they handed me a new one no questions asked.
Called to check stock for a $650 item (wonder what the gp is on that) hoping to buy today. Jim answered. Did you check the website? (Not typing, obviously working off the top of his head) me: yes it wouldnt show me new inventory in your store then we dont have it. Didnt check stock. Didnt care. So amazon it is.
Daniel was incredibly helpful with finding the right MIDI MPK mini for me.
In search of an Acoustic guitar for the past 3 months... when the online warehouse and multiple attempts failed, Glen rose to the challenge and searched the system that everyone else did and got me one the very next day!!! Glen you are a Rockstar, and thank you for your support of the musical art!
If it wasn’t for JR and Glen helping me with my return I’d leave one star they handled me like a true costumer service rep should. That guy Ean on the other hand needs some retraining or he must hate his job because he was very uninterested when I asked for help he walked away from me saying something to the affect of I can’t help you I’m busy with a tone that if I was the owner of the Business he wouldn’t be on my floor. It doesn’t matter if your short staffed, the way you present yourself and show people you care is what makes them come back.If you hate your job Ean get new one and go find something you love to do other than be a rude costumer service rep.
Friendly, helpful. Gift for granddaughter
I come here often and have been very pleased with the service. The staff is very knowledgeable with the instruments. The luthier knows a lot about his expertise. Great selection on strings and cables. Good prices on used gear too. I got a new amp from them and Im loving it.
The workers at this store were SO hostile. i have never experienced anything like it. they followed my friend and i around, gave us nasty looks, and when saying “no” when being asked if i needed anything, one of the workers said “okay, because you’ve just been prowling around.” huh???? like who says that i’m literally appalled. never coming back
Great service found exactly what I needed
Experience was good. They were swamped today, but they handled it well.
Curly hair guy with the multicolor sleeve on the left arm. Got short with me for asking simple questions. Then proceeded to run my credit without my permission. Ill be sticking with the Dallas location.
Nice place to get musical stuff as well as lessons.
Do not trust the online description or the images online.I came from 45 minutes away to see a guitar listed on the site. The guitar didnt have any description that indicated that the instrument was modified. The guitar in question was a classical guitar. It had an after market pickup and a pick guard poorly installed. These were not shown in the picture online. This was a classical guitar. It was grossly modified. My problem is that none of this was indicated on the item description on the website.
A friend and I went in to this Guitar Center location to purchase items for her drum set. The staff was very unfriendly. No one greeted us, nor did anyone ever acknowledge our presence. No one asked if we needed assistance. They acted as if they didn’t want to assist us, even tough the store wasn’t busy.Glen, one of the managers, was very unfriendly. He made us feel like he would rather have his teeth pulled, than help us. However, Glen was more than helpful to a customer or two that looked similar to him. I’m female, and I’m I’m not white.... Glen is. Glen ignored us, until we eventually had to approach him to ask for help.I thought all money was green. However, that’s not case at this location. This is not the first time I’ve experienced unprofessional, sub standard level of customer service at this Guitar Center. I’ll be shopping elsewhere.
Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I walked the floor scouring for a guitar and not one employee asked me if I’d need assistance. Incredibly frustrating watching them ask everyone else around me but LITERALLY LOOK AWAY when I approached them….. do yourself a favor, go to Tone Shop. It’s a local business that NEEDS your business and they ACT LIKE IT.
Knowledgeable help, but be patient youll need to wait for assistance
This place is great because they ensure the client is satisfied when he leaves the store.
Guitar lessons are a bit expensive but worth it. These guys are pros when teaching
Johnny in drums is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.
Very informative staff, friendly, clean environment. Nice selection to choose from.
Good, but they sold me a hard case that I didnt want it
I will never be spending my money at guitar center ever again. The customer service I received at this location will be something I will always remember. There was a point where I asked the employee for a refund because they could not find my order the SECOND time I was told to go to the store to pick it up because it was in stock. The employee said okay whatever without any hesitation. Not only that, I tried to receive help online and multiple representatives gave no effort to try to resolve my situation. The lack of care for a customer that spent $500 at their store during a pandemic with my hard earned money really soured my experience. I never leave reviews but the lack of care really stung. I will never shop here again.
Feels like they are always on the verge of closing. Which they are for all intents and purposes. No one in the drum section if I would have needed anything. After 10-15 mins of perusing, I was finally asked if I needed help. No gaffer tape to be found. A common item. Try harder Guitar Center.
Uncle Bob and their entire staff are very helpful in service and getting you the best deal on town!
Very helpful team...tech was a little more knowledgeable about banjos at this location. Seems to be a rarity in this area.
Yeah its a cool place with a good selection of both instruments and accessories 👍
Great selection, easy to find materials you are looking for as they are divided and labeled in aisles. Great customer service as well, very informative when asking general questions about products and guitar selection.
The DJ center was my favorite area! I love that you can try the instruments on display. Theres also a recording room thats open.
Super helpful, knowledgeable staff and a wide selection.
If you want to see exactly how not to treat customers, then this is the place for you. Where do I even begin?-Sales staff filling in at departments they have no idea about (guitar guy trying to sell keyboards, etc.) and theyre happy to tell you that.-Sales staff walk right past you without any acknowledgment that youre there or even need help. I can personally attest that you will do a LOT of standing around waiting for help.-When you are ready to buy something, good luck finding someone to help.....AND when you do find someone, theyre crabby and irritated that theyre having to help.-Dont let your mask even come close to a millimeter off your nose, because theyll rudely tell you to put your mask on your face before ANYTHING even remotely polite or customer service oriented is said to you.-They dont answer the phones when you call.-They dont follow through with order emails and ship dates.-They cant seem to locate your order when you call in.-The store is disheveled, especially the drum area and keyboard room.-Demo equipment is broken and inoperable making it nearly impossible to make an educated buying decision (unless you play guitar, which seems to be the only product theyre interested in selling).I spent $7k on equipment there in one day and was treated like this. Honestly McDonalds does better when you buy a $7 combo meal. Its sad, really. This used to be THE PLACE to buy equipment back in the day. Not so much anymore.
Came in to sell some gear so I could save up for more compatible stuff and I was not let down. Jonathon helped me out and was one cool brother. Good customer service is rare these days but youll find it here.
If you love sitting around for 40 minutes waiting to be helped then this is the store for you!
Guitar repair is very disappointing… wasted my time and money
A cool place and considering buying 🤔their inventory is good. The problem is making a choice!!
Sales guy was very laid back and not pushy. Also offered opportunities to get what I was looking for other than full retail cost. Could have stayed much longer and guys wouldnt have minded. Thats nice.
I was in a bit of a situation when my Boss VE-2 Harmonizer pedal died out on me. I reached out to Guitar Center and Carol took excellent care of me. She was able to help me quickly and efficiently and made sure I had a replacement in time for my performance that same night. Shout out to Carol and Ian for going above and beyond for me, I owe you one.
Quick at the cashier and friendly.
They offered a ton of help when I came in for cables. Left with everything I was looking for
Reliable place with all kinds of cool stuff. The acoustic room is my personal favorite addition.
This was my first trip since COVID-19 hit. I found that the selection was certainly less than it was in 2019. Hope things pick up for them.
Got inline to pay for guitar strings. 2 cashiers ignored me and walked off. Got the third one who was busy doing something else to ring me up.
Ordering from the guitar center website sucks! Nothing but trouble. Save yourself the time and it changing zip codes to a store that is not near you. Go to the store directly and pick it up.
Selection is a bit smaller than other guitar center stores in the metroplex but the staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. Definitely my go to store for pro audio equipment and keyboard purchases even if it is sometimes a bit further out.
Terrible place. The sales associate was absolutely unwilling to help. I was going to buy a guitar and my only request was the guitar be wiped down to remove a few sticker marks and associate was hesitant to even do that. How do such stores make business. I will never return to this Plano store.
Great service and great selection
Helpful staff and good atmosphere. Great place for all your musical needs.
We went for repair our guitar, very friendly and took not that much of our time .
As others have said, very helpful staff. Chris helped me find exactly what I needed very quickly. Will be back!
Amazing staff and really cool store.
Guitar Center is my version of Disney World! I could stroll around inside that store for hours.
Good customer service
I always try to stop by here before Amazon to get the bass strings I need but sometimes they just don’t have what I’m looking for. Nice collection of basses and other necessities/accessories though
Very friendly and helpful
Fun place to test for new sounds
It was an above and beyond experience! The staff are very friendly and helpful. They all exceeded my expectations in every way.
Has a large variety of items, but sometimes it can be difficult to find someone that can help because they always seem busy.
I went in for home broadcast studio soundproofing and they had exactly what I needed.
Im gonna spend way too much money here man
Great equipment, solid customer service, and great selection makes for a great overall shopping experience
Very professional and friendly staff. They even offer guitar lessons 🙌🏽
I’ve always had experience here.
The staff was very helpful and extremely patient and knowledgeable despite how busy the store was made me feel like I was the only customer in yhe store
Went in to purchase a guitar for Xmas. Although I use to play it had been a while so my knowledge was limited at this point. Chad helped us primarily. It was a little tough to get help until we asked someone. After that we received a ton of help. Chad did a great job and really helped us pick out a guitar. The gift was loved and a great choice. Ill definitely come back to this location again.
A sonic candy store.
Okay selection but its the pandemic. Staff is nice and greeted me as I came in.
Went to look at some items in person, but they were not set up to demo and staff never offered to help or ask after significant time spent in the same area.
Worst customer service thats ever been, good luck on the phone, get put on hold and employee never comes back, never have what you need even basics such as strings, or picks, which is just so sad.WONT BE BACK!!
Blake is awesome...knowledgeable, attentive and not pushy at all. I will always ask for him when I go there.
A much-improved staff then I have experienced in the past at this location . good job guys Im glad youre back on your feet
Came in to trade in a guitar, and I know very little about instruments, but they were very helpful in walking me through the process.Ian in particular was very helpful.
The customer service wa good
When they say hey what you want is out of stock now but shipping on the way to our store, dont buy it, unless you would like to wait for more than one month. Your item will never come on time. They do business like a used car businessman.
Very curtious.
Great customer service. Helpful and researched how many couplings comes in a package to ensure I received full value for what I was paying.
Thought I would buy local, in an actual store instead of Amazon. Made a special trip to the store and was met with disinterested sales people. One even took a phone call on his cell phone in the middle of pretending to help me. The attitude seemed to be we dont have what you want -- why didnt you buy on Amazon? I left while the guy was on his cell phone. I wont be going back.
