This is a great little place to take care of your home equipment. I brought my lawnmower blade in to be sharpened and they took care of it on the spot, quickly and at very reasonable cost.I usually do it myself but its a curved mulching blade so I never seem able to do a great job. For some reason I happened to google blade sharpening to learn some more about, but Google also showed this business that did sharpening. Glad I have them a try, they got it nice and sharp.The guy even gave me some good suggestions about finding a replacement blade, since its for an old mower and I couldnt find one.Its a little hard getting into the location, its a small lot and theres a lot of trucks in the lot. I guess its where professional lawn guys go so thats a good sign.

Oh man! This place is awesome! They really know their stuff about power equipment. I dropped off a push reel mower to get sharpened, and they were able to get it completed a lot faster than I thought. I will definitely use them for my next power equipment needs. Can’t say enough good words about them!

They should change the name to Honda Power Equipment. Brought my Briggs and Stratton power washer in for a tune up (nothing with the presser washer) they did great job. Brought my Briggs and Stratton generator in (tune up) and they said they only work on Honda. What a waste of time. I said well you did my power washer and his response was they shouldnt have Dont waste your time

Helpfull and friendly service. Came in for a pole saw and they got me the one that I really needed for what I was using it for. He even test started it to ensure it was ready for use. Got home and started right away. Oh yeah, check out the local honey they sell too. I will never use a non-powered pole saw again!!! Thanks!

There is no reason for the absolute chaos. I brought. Lawnmower and generator to be repaired. Several people were waited on before me. I’m not standing in line to watch other people be waited on. Finally someone said “can I help who is next.” And believe it or not I still could t get waited on.I’m sure if you are in the law care business and send them lots of work they know your face and name but don’t waste your time going here if you only need a few things a year worked on.I was just going to offer them my company’s repair work as well, not today.Shamefull.

I went in today to have some maintenance work done on our push wheel trimmer. Its an echo bearcat brand. They are also going to take the trimmer device off and install a tri-blade of 10 in, because it will work better for our property that has brush on it. Very friendly, even when they are very busy. The employee Claudia, was nice enough to look up some pricing information on a couple of mowers by skagg that I am interested in as well.

These guys are great. I went in looking to upgrade from my old Husqvarna saw to a Stihl. Had some questions and they had all the answers. Settled on the MS250. They dont just take your cash, hand you a box and send you on your way. Paul filled the saw up with gas and oil and ran it to make sure everything functioned well. Then he took me outside and walked me through how to start it safely to make sure I was comfortable with it. Very impressed with the whole process. Paul, if you see this, thanks a ton for the help!

Where I buy and get my power tools serviced. I was negligent and didnt get my generator in for service until Friday before the big winter storm was supposed to be here. Took it in at 11 am on Friday and they serviced it and had it running and ready to be picked up by 3:30 the same day. Awesome experience!

Plano Power Equipment wants $199.99 plus tax = $216.49 !! They do not match pricing or give a Military Discount which is normally 10% !! So I will purchase a New Echo weed eater SRM 225 elsewhere for $199.00 plus tax - 10% military discount, for a total, out the door for = $193.88 !!! Thats a savings of $22.61 plus the extra 45 minutes drive time and fuel, which equals much more than the savings of $22.61 !! So the savings will be greater than $22.61 !!! Being a Disabled Combat Veteran, I must watch every penny I spend !!!!!! I am certain their mark-up and profit on this one item is much more than a little Military Discount !!! Way to support your Veterans !!!

3+ weeks to do a repair on a weed eater. Still dont have it back. I understand backups during COVID but when I dropped it off I was never notified of the huge delay. A simple heads up, that its going to take about a month to fix would have prevented a 1 star review.

Always a good experience here. I first went to Richardson Saw for a mower pull-start assembly. The guy spent 20 minutes on the computer and finally had to get help from someone else to look up the part. Then he said 2 weeks to get it. At Plano Power, they looked it up, grabbed the part, and I was out in under 5 minutes. Also $3 less than what Richardson Saw wanted.

So I opted for buying a new engine somewhere else.. you aouta teach him that you should not do judge a book by its cover,I could afford the repair bill,as a matter of fact I could afford to buy half a dozen engines 🤠👍🏽

This was the second time I took my reel into Plano Power Equipment so they could sharpen the blades. No problem the first time got it back okay. Thursday I was called and said my reel was ready but they could not sharpen my blades. Okay no problem. So I go to pick it up. First off it looks totally different then when I dropped it off. Second their was damage to the knob that lowers the blades and as you can see from the picture no cover. I asked for my cover the guy brings it and said Ill put it on. I told guy Ill do it at home. Then guess what the chain is not connect with piece that connects the two ends together. At this point I was super frustrated at them. At least have the commom courtesy to put the equipment back together as it was when you received the equipment. Very disappointing because they were so nice. Thats why I atleast gave them a one. I was going to purchase a new mower from them but I dont trust there work anymore. I will never take my equipment to this store again.#badbusiness. Customers beware!!!!!

I called Plano Power asking about the Whipper Clipper brand of edger. they informed me that unfortunately the brand is no longer in production. I was informed that they had one, slightly used left in the store. Derrick and Robert went out of their way to pack this up and ship it to me in Utah. when I had questions re-assembling the handle controls, Robert provided me with pictures and explanations, via text message. I am very impressed and if I were local, would visit there store for all of my equipment needs. thanks so much gentlemen.

Very over price I needed a primer bulb and it cost me 3 times as much as Elliott hardware. I wont go back to Plano power equipment and I will let everyone I know about it. It a same when other parts men in the store telling the man who check me out that he looked up the wrong price, I guess they make money on commission. But you cant make money once you ran off all your customers

Always had a good experience here until today. Dropped off 3 blades and 2 chains to be sharpened. Left them Friday May 22 and was promised they would be done Saturday the 23rd before closing. They didnt even look at them when I went to pick them up

I just found this gem of a store when I was looking for a reel lawnmower. I had no idea it, or anything like it existed until I found it through Internet search engines for the mower. Since then it’s honestly been a new home for my outdoor landscaping because I love the quality of the products and the service has been tremendous. I would recommend this to homeowners and commercial vendors. If you stop by talk to Robert… he’ll take great care of you. Equipment and service here are top-notch. Finally something with a better product than Lowes or Home Depot.

Guess I need to start looking for a new shop to work on my gear. Just found out they don’t work on exmark. I don’t have time to have multiple shops service my gear.. I’ve also noticed some QC issues when they assembled my new Scag. Like forgetting to lube a spool which you did fix but resulted in a complete stop on a job, and not tightening oil filter down all the way. I was willing to set that aside. But turning away a commercial mower made by toro doesn’t make sense.

You can get 95%of your needs at this place. Good people.Good service. I recommend it.

Took my Honda generator in because it wouldnt start. All employees I dealt with were very friendly. Later that day, I received an email that generator was ready. Total price for repair was just over $50. I definitely picked the right place to take my Honda.

This is the best power equipment store in Dallas. They carry a great selection of Stihl chainsaws. In my experience, with regard to chainsaws, if you dont buy a Stihl, youre going to regret it. Ive purchased several here over the years, as well as replacement parts and chains. They also offer quick chain saw chain sharpening. You cant go wrong with these guys. Fast, friendly service, excellent selection and good prices.

Every time I go come here theyre very helpful and prompt. Plus their mechanics are very knowledgeable. I live in mesquite which is a good drive from Plano power equipment but will make the drive every time.

These guys are awesome. I bought a chainsaw from them and a few months later the on/off/choke lever wouldnt slide into off position. I took it in expecting to leave it there for the weekend and Glen took it to the back and replaced a part and sharpened my chain. I was outta there in 15 min and for $9! Buy here! The service is great and not like the big box stores!

Ive been a customer over 10 years. They have always been very helpful with both repairs and sales.

Did not explain the details of the repair well. Asked for oil change, spark plug, and a new belt. They decided to do other things without asking . They called me to pick up and when I arrived the tool was not running properly . Next day after more money it was ready. What started out as $27 came in at over $100. Machine runs well, but not cool with the way it worked out .

We took them a difficult engine problem diagnosed by another company. They found it wasnt the issue and found the real issue and made the repairs. Very knowledgeable team, great to do business with.

Chainsaw parts. I have gone there for 9-10yrs. when no one else has what I need. Im in Seagoville they are in Plano. Its like everywhere else some are more helpful than others. I go in with what I need never a bad experience. Im not one to keep my feelings on my arm. Maybe the guy had a bad day, so I think maybe I could be nicer with Thank You and I appreciate your help. Sometimes it doesnt need to be about us it can be our time to help someone else. Ron. 70 and still climb trees.

I am furious!! Just picked up the mower er took to have serviced. Problem was that the drive did not work. When I took it in I asked for that to be fixed and to have it serviced while it was there. Upon picking it up I started it to be sure it was fixed only to be told oh we don’t work on that kind of mower. I WOULDNT HAVE LEFT IT THERE TO BE FIXED IF YOU HAD TOLD ME THAT WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF!!!!! Maybe next time inform the customer that you can’t fix something before you charge them $75 for an oil change

Simply, they are the absolute best at what they do.The store has a blue collar feel to it, like it hasnt been updated in decades. The personalities are down home and pleasant. They busted my chops a little bit about running my business with a homeowner push mower but I dont care because they helped me out and made me laugh. I like this place.

Ive done business with Plano Power and Equipment for as long as I have been in business. I own top of the line Stihl equipment and their product knowledge and their customer service are top notch.

I took my Echo blower in for what was clearly a warranty repair and without notifying me they proceeded to do a tune-up that cost more than the item is worth. Very unethical in my opinion.

I bring my mower here for a tune up every Spring and I always have a great experience. Theres usually a wait time because theyre so busy so dont expect a fast turnaround.

I am not pleased.1st and last time going here.I only went here to get my mower tuned up and they invented ways to charge me more. About $150.My mower only had about 10 hours on the engine and they told me I needed a brand new carburetor and suddenly the throttle cable was broken.They told me it would take less than a week to fix a week and a half later I called them because they had not called me yet and the ticket have been sitting not being worked, they told me that I needed a new cable so I said fine replace it the guy told me it would be ready at 10 a.m. the following morning so I drove over there at 4 p.m. on the day was supposed to be ready to give them more time and it was not ready.Not pleased.
