Matt is an awesome store host. Hes pretty knowledgeable about whiskey. Heck, hell even let you sample whats new! Convenient location on Preston at Plano pkwy; with plenty of parking. Prices are competitive with other liquor store outlets of that size. Good collection of import beers & wines. Well worth the stop.

Disrespectful employees. There’s a new owner apparently. He really needs to get his people in line and remind them the customers are the people to impress.

The store was clean, the selection was middle of the road, but all we needed was some tequila, so that wasnt an issue. The promotions girl was more helpful than the counter staff, who were doing shots behind the counter while customers were waiting in line. Then they were talking among themselves instead of doing their job, creating unnecessary delays. Apparently, their credit card terminals werent up to snuff because they only had one functioning, and it was VERY SLOW, as in 1990s AOL dial-up slow.

Great place to pickup some bottles to enjoy over the weekend or to just stop by and grab some items for a group get together.

If I could give this place a negative 5 I would! They are embarrassing and extremely rude. I went into this establishment and was embarrassed in front of someone very special to me, as they refused service to me even though I am of legal age to buy alcohol. Do not waste your time at this establishment, give your money to the Spec’s down the road, not this local business.

I will never come back to this store again after the way I was treated today because I had someone with me who was 18 without an ID a lady walked in with a minor with no ID in the state of TX minors can have IDs he didn’t not ask how you old the girl was or did she had an ID but when I came up he didn’t acknowledge if she was a minor or not I was particularly buying the liquor for me only so in request my ID should be the only one he should have asked for

I like alcohol, this place has many kinds and has good deals sometimes.

Went in on Christmas Eve, and the lady on the floor could tell I needed help and she offered to help before I even had the chance to look for someone to help me!After showing me to the two items I was looking for, she asked if there was anything else she could help me find. I didnt feel rushed, and then the guy at the register was extremely friendly during the check out process. He even fist bumped me at the end.10/10 customer service, what a fantastic liquor store.

First and last time going. Clean place but unorganized. You buy something with a price drop on it and that wont fulfill that price they will just apologize and act like it didnt happen. Also the prices are crazy high. Sticking to total wines.

The prices are MUCH better than other locations in the area. I got out for half of what my usual suspects generally costs me. Store isnt as organized as some but its a friendly open layout that has more than you would expect.

12 pack of corona is 17.99 while at Any other liquor store is 12.99. Why is it that everything here for the same exact thing the price is higher. Last time I come here no wonder this place is always lonely and has different management frequently

Awesome selection of alcohols and mixers. Wine, beer, locally made vodkas (pictured!), ect. Workers are friendly and always happy to give mixer pairing recommendations!

I was looking for a seasonal specialty beer that I had been trying to get for the last two years. When I asked the manager he immediately got on the phone with his other store and the distributor to help me locate some. He really went above and beyond to help me in my quest to find some Pumpkinator.

How Fossil Creek ruined my 21st birthday:This happened a few years ago back in September of 2014, I havent had the courage to post this until now because its been eating me. The employee in question looked kind of like a grown-up version of the kid from Bad Santa or Jimmy De Santa from Grand Theft Auto 5 the video game. White, chubby, male with short blonde curly hair.It was my 21st birthday, and I was planning a big party so I went to Fossil Creek to stock up on liquor because at the time I didnt know of any other places close by (I know now there is a Specs in Plano off of Coit and Plano). When I walked into the store I had lots of ideas of things to get, I was elated to finally be shopping and raced around like a kid in a candy store, manhandling 3 or 4 bottles as I hurried to get my order together. This is where the first thing goes wrong.The employee in question at the register says very loudly and rudely We have carts, you know. As if me carrying 3-4 bottles is a problem. Im about to spend hundreds of dollars on my birthday party, and you are going to hassle me over how I choose to handle the products I am going to pay for? I am more than capable of carrying a few bottles without dropping them, I am not a child. And if I did drop them, I would gladly pay for my mistake, because like I said, it was my 21st birthday and I was planning on going all out, but now my roll was getting slowed down by this negative, vibe-killing employee. (Most bottles are pretty tough anyways.)I pay for the first round and stock the car with my purchases, then come back to get more wine and a few extra items. This is when he decides to top it all off with another astounding display of rudeness, when paying for the second round of drinks, he says in a serious tone Okay... at this point I am going to have to ask you if you have anybody with you. Are you buying alcohol for anybody else? I say no, because I wasnt. Who asks that anyways?In my future years of going to Specs and being a happy customer there, I was never ever punished with rudeness for buying too much alcohol. Is my business really that much of a burden for you? Do you not like the way I handle bottles? If I drop it Im going to pay for it, Im not a scumbag. But instead he had an attitude, for whatever reason, and insisted on doing everything he could to make my trip the most unpleasurable and troublesome as possible, and to ruin my trip to Fossil Creek and keep me away from the brand for life.Needless to say, I spent the rest of my birthday in a solemn state, thinking about the way I was treated at the store earlier. People kept asking me Whats wrong? and I couldnt enjoy the party even though I had spent hundreds on liquor, wine, and beer. Because every time I saw the bottles I thought about the store experience earlier. With his poor attitude and poor service, and nasty demeanor, he took away the one joy of a great 21st birthday party that I will never be able to get back, because you can only do it once.From now on, I do all my shopping at Specs, and make sure to tell my family and friends and other 20-something year-olds about my experience and to shop at Specs instead (especially the main one off 75 which has a great selection), or the one off Coit and Plano if you want a smaller, friendly environment where people are actually happy to see you and grateful for your business, which I now patronize and they have been getting all my business in the last recent years since this incident for birthdays, holidays, weekends, and special occasions.My final thoughts would be simply this: if you have a brand, protect it. Grow it, evolve it, make sure it has positive impacts on people and puts the customer first by putting the best employees on the front lines.Im not sure if I would give a second chance due to the impact of the incident, but I hope that in the future they retrain their employees to be more polite, welcoming, friendly, and helpful, like people who care about the customers would do.
