The ambiance was very nice. It is dark inside and very trendy. No physical menu but they had exactly what I wanted. I made a warm milk tea using earl grey tea, honey, vanilla and caramel.I also got a banana bread with Nutella and 2 breakfast sandwiches which included pesto, egg, bacon and cheese. The sandwiches were kinda pricey but thats expected at a coffee shop. Very chill spot and cute employees!
Spent 12$ yesterday on a Iced French Toast Latte and Lemon poppyseed muffin. Sadly the latte was extremely bitter and didnt have much flavor. The muffin was spicy like there were peppers added. Unfortunately most of both went in the garbage. I have been supporting small businesses during Covid but the quality of product just isnt worth the 12$. Wish yall the best of luck.
Ella’s is an oasis in Broward County. Only a few blocks from the Westfield Mall, on Broward Boulevard, it is located in a small shopping center adjacent to Toi Spa. Excellent coffee with a plethora of flavors to add. Today we enjoyed tiramisu and coconut chocolate iced coffees. Fresh bakery items. All Covid protocols in place—I look forward to the return of frosted glasses, rather than plastic, and their full lunch menu of flatbreads, salads, and sandwiches. This cafe reminds me of the cozy coffee shops in New England with their book areas, hip music, and super upbeat servers. Check it out.
I LOVE Ella! Ive been going for years now. The coffee is great and its a local spot where youll definitely run into a friend or two picking up your coffee on your way to work. They have amazing home made flavors. I always get the Sticky Banana or French Toast hot lattes. My friends love the Hazlenut Ella iced latte (this one has nutella!). Its a great spot for a pic with the cozy interior. My only wish is for them to bring back the food variety! We used to get the omelet sandwiches all the time but unfortunately since pandemic they now mostly serve only baked goods. (Edit: food options are back!) Its a fun local business I love to support!
If you love quality coffee and delicious pastry’s you will adore Ella’s Cafe! So beautiful and a cute spot to hang out with your girlfriends, catch up and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. You must try the breakfast coffee (trust me! It’s delicious) !! And the mini croissants, if you are lucky and they do not sell out by the time you arrive, are a must try as well! Enjoy!
Went to Ellas based on the great reviews online. The vegetarian food choices were very nice. Just wish there was at least one food option that was warm. Other than that, the food that we did order tasted great. My favorites were the vegan egg salad sandwich and the parfait. We ended up eating on the side of the restaurant that served smoothies though because we liked the food options and the ambience on that side more than the coffee shop side (it was too loud on that side). Overall we did like it and would visit again.
This place is hard to rate because I loved the ambiance, staff, and coffee. Unlike in a lot of places, the coffee was not acidic. This was a big win for me! I hesitantly added a fall flavor, and happily, it was perfectly balanced - not heavy-handed like a Yankee Candle. Another plus is the Wi-Fi.BUT. I’ve never paid so expensively for a latte. I wish they displayed their prices on the blackboard so I could support them with as a regular with item(s) in my budget. All lattes, regardless of if you order plain or add a flavor, cost $7! So then I thought, maybe it’s because they actually pay their staff a living wage. If that’s the case, then I can stomach the cost. So I approached a staff member and gently asked if they would consider their wages a living wage. I did not ask for the exact number. The staff member responded that they appreciate the sentiment but could not discuss this. This already told me enough - employment contracts that forbid discussion of wages are a form of labor control designed to underpay and bust unioning.Though I can’t afford being a ‘regular’ here, I initially considered coming back as an occasional treat. Now I know that, considering their labor practices, the $7 coffee is not worth a return trip.Note: if a staff member can correct me on my above reasoning, I may readjust the rating.
Brought my brother and sister in law here and it was amazing. The staff was especially kind and the place was quaint. Although the place was very busy it was ok we didnt mind the wait too much. Lovely place.
This is one of the better coffee shops I have visited. The place was always busy and always had a line. I understand why, and it was worth the short wait. They also did an excellent job with their presentation, both with the drinks and the food they serve.First, the coffee. Im not a huge fan of flavor in my coffees, but with Ella making their own syrups in house, I felt it important to try them. I had a Hazelnut-Ella and also a French Toast flat white. Both were excellent and for those who like flavored espresso drinks, I would highly recommend their options. Additionally, the flavor of the coffee was excellent, not tasting overly burnt or dirty as you would find at a mass market coffee shop. The cinnamon roll was fantastic as well, lots of cinnamon and the cream cheese frosting was excellent.I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Plantation area to stop in.
I love this place, its definitely a surprise when you walk in. Coffee is amazing, they baked goods are fresh and delicious. The only reason I give it a 4 star is because every single time I go, they run out of items. But I do enjoy this place a lot.
Shaylen and Carly were super kind to call and tell me I left my card at the register. Both very kind and sweet. Service was awesome, and the coffee is fresh and really good. Only place I go for coffee now
Super cute coffee shop in south Florida. They have the best hot chocolate! I’m not a coffee person but I come here often with my friend. They recently opened up a smoothie shop next door that I’ll be trying soon. It’s a great place to meet up with friends and grab a light snack. The vibe is very chill and staff is friendly.
They closed the kitchen down at 12:45 on a Monday afternoon and I asked for a lavender honey latte and they were out of lavender honey. Go figure. So I just respectfully left.... everything I went there for they did not have. Nice customer service though.
Awesome down to earth chill vibe coffee shop. They don’t have a menu and instead show off all their items on the counter. The American Sandwich was delicious and highly recommended. The morning cereal latte is a good enough excuse to check this place out. They have a large variety of coffee styles to try with an even larger variety of flavors.
I give it a 3/5 because although the coffee is rly good and food is great too it’s below freezing in this place at all times and the music is soo loud. It’s obvious they don’t like people coming here to do work. Coffee is great though.
Loved it!! It was my first time!Great, young, vibrant, happening atmosphere. Good tunes with a small stage that I thought it was genius. Modern decor and comfortable seating.I ordered cappuccino and a banana muffins for $8, very reasonable price and the coffee was delicious, not to mention the outstanding presentationI recommend this place and will go back to try more coffee and some flat breads.
Super cute coffee place!! Their coffee and food are delicious. I love the tiny heart shaped biscuits they serve with your coffee. It reminds me of my childhood always.
A great place to talking and studying. The only thing is THERE IS NO PRICE ATTHE MENU. You know the price only if you purchased 😁😁
I was in South Florida the summer and came here practically every weekend to get coffee! Everyone working here is super friendly and the apple pie latte cold brew was the best thing I have ever had!
Pros: The locals love this place and with good reason. The coffee drinks and food dishes are delicious! There is an emphasis on using quality ingredients for everything. Love the presentation and ambiance too.Cons: Expect to wait a long time during peak hours. It would be very difficult to get a coffee on the go as there is no drive thru, its first come first served, and due to its laid back atmosphere, employees do not seem to hustle to get things made. Which is perfectly okay because the place is more of a sit-and-enjoy-yourself cafe. Lastly, seating is limited. Beautiful cafe but a lot of unused (nicely decorated) space.
I dont know how this place has so many stars. I dont know if Im in the wrong place for what we paid. I thought I was in New York, two coffees and two muffins $25. I dont think they were very fresh or anything and that they made me feel special. The coffee is served in a plastic cup and muffins in paper bags (yes, I know that everything is organic) and also self-service (throw your own garbage). Surely I will not return again! 😷
I came here first time with my friend on Saturday at around 3pm. Super crowded so be ready to look for table. It took us 20 minuets to finally sit and have a nice coffee and a little dessert. I loved the atmosphere, it’s pretty rare here. I’ve ordered caramel latte with almond milk (it was super sweet) and chocolate muffin with marshmallow on top(super sweet too) be ready :) also got brownie to go. Everything come out to $13 which I honestly think was a good price. In total I loved the place and definitely will come again :)
My sandwich was good but not a very big variety to choose from.
Nice atmosphere and they didn’t burn the coffee but $7 for an iced 16 oz? Absolutely laughable. Wifi goes in and out and music is too loud for meetings
They refuse to use reusable thermoses brought in by the customer…what century is this? And $7 for a latte is ridiculous. It use to be $4-5 just a year and a half ago. They have not changed anything to warrant a 40-75% increase in price. You lost my business.
This is a nice place to sit back talk to friends and enjoy there delicious coffee. I did not give a full 5 stars because they always full and you have to wait for a seat. Also they are very slow in bringing out your order. But the Atmosphere is awesome and the employees are very friendly. Wish the place was bigger.
The only thing pulling this place out of a two star review is the awesome visual ambience. Didn’t realize there was a such thing as too trendy...until I came here.Food is overpriced and mediocre at best.Staff were helpful and friendly despite appearing to be indifferent and unapproachable.Additionally, it took entirely too long to make sandwiches.Overall, airport quality food at the pricing of NYC organic coffee house.
Ella Cafe is not your typical cafe and I believe thats the intention. However, its not for everybody if you are dropping in quick for a coffee. My biggest qualm was the wait. Everything is made first in, first out, regardless of how efficient it might be otherwise; a latte, cold brew, and some pastries took over 20 minutes to be served to go.Since their delicious, milky drinks are their specialty, its no surprise that the cold brew is mediocre. There were many, pretty drinks that Id love to come enjoy, if I ever got the time.EDIT: After a second visit, an evening snack with a drink and gluten free Nutella coffee cake was definitely the way to go. Way better experience not being in a rush. Upping to 5 stars!
Love this place! Most of their coffee flavors are made in-house - the French toast latte is my favorite! Not the best place to sit and get work done, but a great little shop to go for a coffee and some food. I come here frequently and the staff are always personable and extremely friendly. Highly recommend!Covid update: all staff wears masks, masks are required for all customers, and dining in the store is not available at the moment. (though some people had their masks off to drink their coffees while waiting for the rest of their orders, which wasnt great). Outdoor dining is available.
Above and beyond quintessential coffee shop for coffee lovers tucked away in a small plaza in Western Broward.
Tasty coffee and baked goods. A bit pricey though...
Such a cute little coffee place!!! If your looking for a quaint setting with yummy coffee and pastry options this is an excellent place to try! The coffee was a little pricey but the sizes were pretty big so I cant complain! And my cupcake was AmAzInGgGgGgG!!! I was told they even have music here some nights, which would make this a cute little date place as well I imagine. Its located in a plaza with a few good dining options so you cant miss it, and even has a few tables outside if you want some fresh air while you enjoy your coffee.
Rare that Id give 5 stars to a place that was a first time visit. Ella Cafe has such a great vibe, it feels like someplace youd find in any major citys midtown. Coffee was great - will opt for flat white more often. Vegan, gluten free and regular bakery options. I only wish Ella Cafe was closer to my neighborhood.
I enjoy this coffee shop of the two locations the most. Ive been going here for 4 years and its become a go to for great food or just really good pick me up coffee. You will notice the very cool inside right of the bat-i believe the owner built it all and the name Ellas is after their daughter. So its nice to see someone all in for a place they are passionate about. The yogurt parfait and americano
How did I miss this place? Food items are limited but tastes are thought out and paired nicely. Coffee is beautifully strong and drinks are well crafted. Might be off-putting to people that dont like a lively environment with fairly loud music for the AM. Decor transports you straight to an LA coffee shop...which isnt totally a bad thing.
Amazing place for coffee. It was a vibe. Great coffee and service.
Super cute cafe...the gluten free lemon poppy seed muffin was incredible and so was the coffee! Cant wait to go back sometime!
Definitely a 5-star cafe. Its a hidden gem in Plantation. Great atmosphere, cozy, pleasant music in the background. the only down side is that I a bit small and orders take a little longer than average. However this is because things are made in the spot, resh. Worth the wait. The service is great. Super friendly staff.
Love the ambiance, staff and of course the coffee and banana bread.
The coffee and the food was delicious. Its pretty pricey though. It was $12 for a tiny breakfast sandwich. There wasnt a wide variety of food options either. The pictures I saw from other reviews were misleading. There were only 2 options and then some croissants, cookies, and muffins.
I went looking for a little caffeine and some wifi and stumbled on this amazing, scrumptious, fantastic cafe!!Walking in, you are greeted with lots of wood and coffee love. The feel is old cafe style and fun! The cafe is narrow and long, tables of all sizes line the walls. There was a bit of a line and as I moved closer, I was given a glimpse of yummy pastries and muffins, even closer and I see fresh and yummy sandwiches and charcuterie boards. There were so many choices!!I went with the all day board and a fizzy lemon drink! With the crowd, loud music it was challenging to hear and ask questions. I wasnt quite sure what I was ordering. I was ok with that!I was handed a number and managed to find a table in the front. A few minutes later, my drink came and then my board. WHOA!! It was so yummy. Everything was perfectly placed and super scrumptious. After working for a bit, they do have wifi and it was ok. It would occasionally flicker. This might have been since it was super busy.I headed back to the counter and ordered a couple of lattes. One with whole milk and one soy. They were both the best lattes ever!! The vanilla is homemade. Everything is homemade. I loved the coffee so much, I brought home a bag.The entire time I was there, the line went from long to super long. People came in and stayed or grabbed their coffee and went about their day! The staff hustled and hustled some more, delivering food and drinks or clearing tables, checking in with customers and all with a smile. Everything came out on a board with Ella in the corner and each coffee that stayed in got a little cookie. I even saw special hot chocolates go out with little cups of marshmallows.I cant wait to visit this spot again, it was well worth the trip and I advise you if you are in the area, make it a point to stop!!
The snacks are really good as are the beverages. The staff is also very friendly. It can be kinda hard to order since theres not really a written menu. Sometimes its a little hard to study or carry on a conversation because the music can be a little loud but at least the song selection is good.
I’ve been trying to go to as many coffee shops I can around south Florida. They are good but Ella hands down is the best of the best. The quality of the drinks are just superb. And they don’t charge you an arm and a leg for it either. So far this is the only coffee shop (out of the 12+ I’ve tried) I come back to on a regular basis. It’s too good! Also I love love love the fact the are still doing only to go orders. Other places are letting people sit inside without masks and I just truly appreciate that Ella Cafe is putting safety first.
This place is a hidden gem! They offer several options for coffee, delicious pastries, muffins, sandwiches, cookies, cupcakes, cheeses, and other items I might be forgetting. The place is cozy, and there are different options for seating: from a regular table to a tall chair or a sofa. Staff is very nice and attentive.
Such a great find, lovely atmosphere, great coffee (a little overpriced) and great customer service. Would recommend 100%.
Great coffee in a good atmosphere! Went for the First time and accidentally walked into their other venue next door. They both are well designed, food was so good and so were the drinks ☕️ Music is loud so if your sensitive to it you might want to sit outside seating.
We went to Ella Cafe today. Carla waited on us. Carla is Awesome. We had so many questions & she answered everything. All 4 of us loved our beverages. Thank you Carla & Thank you Ella cafe for hiring someone who cares about the customer and offers an amazing customer experience!!
Love this place! Dont let the nondescript coffee sign on the outside fool you! Ella Cafe is a wonderful place in Plantation to grab some delicious coffee or some sandwiches or a cheese plate. A wonderful spot and everyone should check it out!
Food was good. We went on a busy time so we got our food in around 15 minutes. However we didn’t get our coffees until 45 minutes later. It’s very trendy, but a bit pricey.
Its a small and cozy cafe with great service and amazing coffee! The vanilla latte was so smooth, flavorful and good presentation. Very nicely brewed! The venue is relaxing and a great place to study, work or just meet over coffee. They had a variety of pastries but the food menu was somewhat limited. Had a great experience and will definitely be back for their coffees!
Ellas is a quant, shabby-chic cafe with great, savory menu and delectable selection of coffee. The fritatta was yummy & the French toast coffee went down like butter. My only complaint is it was a tad cold inside. The staff was friendly, helpful, and chill. Highly recommend it.
Perfect for vegan and vegetarians. Absolutely delicious even the air smells delicious. The atmosphere is conforming and inviting.
A real gem. The flavor of coffee drinks were great. I had the hazelnutella. Love the decor. Only negative was that the timing was off. We were served our cookie and banana bread and finished by the time the 1st drink came out. 1/2way thru that until the other person got their drink. Awkward and would have been frustrating to wait until it all arrived. Also, items are not priced. With the long line, its frustrating to wait on someone asking prices of multiple items, just to be that person when you get to the counter.
Absolutely adorable and delicious! Such a pleasant surprise in the shopping center, Im so glad it came up on Google. Its not immediately distinguishable in the parking lot, but completely worth the mini seek-and-find. Cant wait to go back!
Im so glad I found this hidden gem in the Neighborhood. Such a great place to relax, have a really good coffee and some really good food. Oh, and the staff, incredibly professional and welcoming! Coffee and Jazz, best way to start the day.
Im absolutely in love with this place . Atmosphere is so warm, cozy and contemporary. You can actually have a good conversation with the next table guys. I just have a cup of Coffee, very good quality. And the staff is really friendly and seem happy to be there
Place and ambiance is awesome. Coffee, not so much.
Reminds me of SF! Excellent espresso drinks and cold brew, pastries and sandwiches on point everything made with love it transfers to the food and drink! And friendly staff along with a great atmosphere. Thank you!
Awesome place.Great unique original and warm coffee shop, just like something you would see in a French movie.I love this place, I can eat here every week.
A very fine latte!
Im giving it 3 stars because even thou the food is delicious and so is the coffee the line is huge because there is only 2 person working on makings beverage and food. When they are done with your order and they call your name you cant even hear what they say because they say it very low and the music there is high ando forget about saying it twice so you can maybe hear it
Pricey for no reason.Cafe came burnt and it took them 25 minutes to prepare a new one !!Sandwich was ok, but nothing moreAnd staff wasnt very helpful
The ambiance is so chic. I feel like Im drinking coffee at some really cool friends house. Comfy seats and atmosphere. Had a cappuccino, caprese salad and avocado toast. Everything was delicious. Great place for a friend date to catch up.
This cozy little coffee house has lovely coffee and a variety of (NO VEGAN OPTIONS, NOT 1. If you are vegan, bring your own snacks!) pastries, sandwiches, and salads. Oh and 1 soup. They serve their coffees (and teas) with a little cookie (every beverage they make is $5 including tax). All their syrups are made in house as well. Try a hot latte with macadamia milk with vanilla and hazelnut, or an iced macadamia milk latte with mocha and hazelnut. There is a spot for live performance though we have never seen anyone perform. There is ALWAYS great music playing. It is so soothing to the brain. The staff is SUPER NICE. EMPHASIS on the terrific, well trained, POLITE and courteous staff members here. The only down side is it is a small space for the amount of folks who love to come here with their laptops and/or small kids (there is a tiny person table!!!). It gets crowded and during peak times there is not always a seat. But try the very back where there is a nook with a fake fire place and comfy chairs.
Such sweet workers and great coffee!
Great atmosphere. I loved the music and ambience. I had a Carmel latte and Nutella coffee cake both were delicious!
Love this cafe, such a nice vibe. Great coffee and food. The employees are awesome. My only complaint is seating and that food sometimes takes long to be made.
Decided to check this place out after reading so many good reviews . I love cute places and even more well decorated . The place was just adorable and a little hard to spot from the parking lot . The coffee I ordered was very good and different . The muffin was good as well but not delicious . I gave this place a 4 because the food and sweets were not any different than Starbucks . But it’s definitely a place to sit and enjoy the atmosphere . Went again a few days ago . It was really good but so cold and I was not able to sit and enjoy my meal
Ella Cafe is an amazingly cozy coffee house for the hipster in you. If youre looking for some delicious coffee, scrumptious sides, and efficient (but busy) service, consider this venue. As you enter youll instantly notice the quaint yet bold atmosphere. I arrived around noon so naturally it was very busy but to be honest this seems like the kinda place that would be busy no matter the time of day. You can expect a few people in line ahead of you.The menu is more visuals and less text, with an explanation of various coffees sketched in chalk. As you approach the register you can see the edibles behind the counter, which include muffins, cookies, croissants, etc. Dont see something you like? Try describing it to the cashier and theyll do their best to recommend something. They also explain all available additives such sugar, creme, milk, flavors etc. Prices are reasonable, I ordered coffee and two food items for about $13. If youre dining in house, theyll give you number to place on your table.I ended up getting Cafe Con Leche, a plain crossaint and a chocolate muffin marshmallow hybrid. The food arrived within a few minutes. Everything is served on their own wooden cutting board, instead of the traditional plate. This makes for a very stylish presentation however an uncivilized eater like myself will easily make a mess with finger foods. For the record, they did provide utensils and I did use them (kinda). The food was great, items arrived warm and fresh. The coffee took longer to arrive and was served in a glass instead of the usual ceramic mug. The Cafe Con Leche was served hot but not steaming and was accompanied by a small spoon and heart shaped cookie. The coffee was less sweet than others Ive had but still good.Servers are quick to ask and clear away any platters from your table. Seating arrangements consist of many small tables scattered across the room, a lounge area with couches near the back and a few tables outside. This place is great for dining solo or with a few friends but may be problematic for larger groups. It may be tough to study here since its very lively, loud and not a lot of room on the tables.Overall this is a nice option for coffee, snacks and conversation. If youre a coffee lover, give this one a try.
What a great little coffee shop! So cute & quaint & the food is very good. My only complaint is the ridiculous prices... so expensive! Keeps me from going more often!
OMG. So good! This is called an Apple-tini (no alcohol) New juice and smoothie section at Ella Cafe. This drink has a kick of Cayenne pepper that isnt listed on the ingredients, but its amazing! Really love it. Whomever owns Ella Cafe knows what theyre doing. Their coffee is by far the best in town.
Ambience is amazzzzzzzinng.love the decor..so quaint and European chique.food is greatt!!
Their coffee is AMAZING! would definitely recommend this shop. due to covid you can’t eat inside but before it was a great spot to do some work while drinking some coffee. I would definitely recommend the Hazelnut-Ella!
Very friendly and the drinks are great but theres no food right now 😭
Ella cafe is one of my favorite coffee shop vibes in south Florida!!Its so cute and hip inside, but also just chill. The aesthetic is great. I particularly love they have so many different non dairy milk options, and their cold brew is INSANELY good. They also have super great gluten free treats. The only thing I personally don’t like is that all their drinks are one size only, but it’s all so good that it’s worth it anyways.
