Ive known New India Bazaar since they opened their first shop in Santa Clara more than 20 years ago. They always have the most variety of goods. Their refrigeration works at full blast and keeps frozen items really cold as they should be. Many other stores keep it low and the frozen goods get spoiled in no time. The prices for everything are the most competitive amongst all other Indian stores. This is the only store which has the proverbial pin to piano of Indian goods.

A spacious Indian grocery store with lots of variety.Earlier they used to give points on purchase but stopped doing it suddenly since pandemic started.

Our favorite Indian store in Tri-valley area. Good prices, friendly staff, decent availability of Indian products and I like the music. A little crowded at times, can be a bit cleaner. I was really looking forward to their newly opened fast food counter but so far not very impressed with the pricing, quantity and variety of options. Miss non vegetarian options as well.

Pretty big Indian Grocery store. Prices are also decent. But due to the huge layout it is sometimes difficult to find items and they are scattered all over the place

We bought this GANGA KAVERI brand in New Indian Bazar in Santa Rita, Pleasanton in June time frame, morning as usual i was preparing to make breakfast for kids, i add some water to thin the batter when i mixing the water some thing i found inside is the metal rode inside the batter box.. i enquired with them they are not ready to give any information about the distributors, i said i want to talk to managers, the people working in the counter just reply they dont have the manager contact info.. and they even they get my contact info and told me that the manager or owner would contact me regarding the issue but still i didnt get any call back.The people working told me that they are not going buy this brand product any more but Yesterday Aug21 i saw the same brand they are selling... i attached all pictures please aware of those kind of products.

Expired items expired milk. not properly cooked kitchen items. When told them they just said we never heard this in past like I am lying.Typical Indian mentality of not taking constructive criticism in positive wayNow some kitchen items are really good though. So now we just need to be careful on what we buy there

This place offers A1 quality groceries. It has a food court which offers the best samosa ever. Good deals are offered on veggies and groceries on every Friday. Only downside is its super crowded on weekends.

Its a pretty evasive store with every Indian kitchen item needed. Make sure to shop here on weekdays and not weekends because its becomes very crowded very fast. There is also a food area but I personally did not like the menu and it looked exactly like what you make at home. In addition, if you shop here dont forget to buy some Samosas. They are delicious.

Best produceBest groceriesBut it is an environmental disaster.Customer’s pull out plastic bags from roles and then they hardly use any of them.They have the worst clientele (Indians)They thrash the mangoes and ruin the product.It is a criminal waste of food.Unfortunately the owner does not do any thing about it.He should do like Ranch99. Store. Where they tape the mangoe box, and customer has to buy as is. That is the good idea. I hope this makes him realize the wasted he creates

Great groceries and store, bad people management. Way too many people obviously over the capacity. Lines can get long as well. Otherwise no complaints. Have a wide variety of Indian groceries both perishables and nonperishables.

Hi,I have been shopping at the New India Bazaar Pleasanton location for a few years now and have no major complaints or issues that urge me to write a review. The customer service at the food counter is terrible and disappointing. The lady named Mona sounds very rude and way out of line. I ordered some sweets and things happen my plan got changed. I called 24 hours to cancel the order. Mona called and left a VM because I did not pick up the order, she will sell the product to customers and BLOCK/BARGE me from ordering anything in the future. I understand they should sell the product. She should have checked her facts before expressing her frustration. Nevertheless, leaving a voicemail in an unharmonious tone is unacceptable and feels like a menace.

Their prices for the fresh vegetables has gone up. Still I find Costco is better option buying organic fruits and veggies. Store can be little more clean and organized. Over all for Indian groceries decent place to shop.

This store advertises cheap prices, but actually the grocery quality is way down. Lately they are selling only one branded products maybe their own brand. So less choice of another branded products. This store also sells old items beyond the expiry dates. Please be very careful when you are shopping at this place.

If you’re looking for the widest selection (and mostly fresh) Indian groceries in the area, then this is it! I like it that they maintain the place well, even decorated for different seasonal events - and the staff is generally helpful..

Crowded ...but its their pricing that forces me to go there, to give you an example at luckys lime was 3 for $1, while at new india bazar it was 10 for $1.

On this visit I went for the buffet food. As far as I could tell, most of the food was vegetarian and a great deal of it vegan. It was delicious. Well spiced and very fresh. Id recommend it to anyone.

Good Indian grocery shop and used to go to this store once in a week. Dinking water is also available here. They have kitchen for ordering Indian snacks/food. Not yet tried from there.Have good amount of parking lots but used to get full during weekends. Easy accessible location close to Walmart Neighborhood store.

Ones of the larger Indian groceries in the area.12/15/2020 update: 4 stars + 1 for having Apple Pay and actually having workers wipe down packages - this is the first grocery store in the area that I have seen who is diligent enough to do this. Made me get in the habit of wiping down all groceries that I bring into the house.

Its a very good place to get Indian groceries and pooja materials, garlends. More over some cooking utensils and iron tavas are also available. You can get mukhavas materials and Pan and related items also. Ayurvedic medicines are also available

Great choices and fast service. What really was extraordinary was they were giving away Diwali gift boxes to all the customers, on Diwali day. Never heard of such a thing among any grocers. Really appreciable. Thats how businesses give back to communities.

Last year I gave this store 3 stars, and sadly the service has deteriorated so much that I have to decrease my rating to 1 star. If possible I’d like to give this place ZERO stars.Service: Some of the staff have no manners on how to speak to people. I’ve seen them treat their customers like dirt and I’ve seen staff literally scold the customers because they don’t know how to work the credit card keypad, which in my book is UNACCEPTABLE!!Cleanliness: their staff literally press the bags of atta and other stuff with their feet to press them down (this near the back area near the restroom) again UNACCEPTABLE!!And if you decide to complain don’t expect an apology (they don’t even pretend to apologize).Many people unfortunately get used to being treated badly and that is the only reason I feel they keep shopping there. For me I’ve given them enough chances, and there are other stores around where they’d be glad to have our business. Sure keep shopping here if you have no respect for yourselves.

Food is extremely good! It tastes exactly how it does in India! For anybody who is craving for chhole bhature and parotta this is the place.if youre not in the mood for heavy food, they have lots of chat options and if you want to try something simple try their samosa chat its one of the best you can find anywhere nearby. The food is flavorful and the service is good. Takeout is very simple, easy and quick.

Good place to get Indian items as the name suggests. It also has a sweets shop inside. You can buy Indian sweets there. Dont forget to check Samosa, Puffs etc near cash counters.

Very good place with most of the Indian groceries, snacks and health and personal products available. The prices are not expensive and not cheap either. Its moderate. One good thing is, they provide these points for every purchase which can be redeemed if you are a loyal customer. Biggest Indian supermarket in tri valley area, with ranges of veer products. Great variety of indian and fusion snacks. Specialized in north Indian, especially punjabi spices, condiments and food.

Good fresh vegetables

One of the biggest indian store. Snacks tastes really good.

I was there today, i drive down from Concord and called to ask the hrs was told 10, clearly closed at 8,i got there 7.45 and they wouldnt let me in.I understand shelter in place e.t.c e.t.c, buy please give correct information over the phone and when you close at 8 shutting at 7.45 doesnt help. The girl that stopped me from entering the store needs to learn to speak with customers, i needed an urgent item and got turned away, so no point in staying open when you cannot provide a service of an essential business.This is worse than charging me for random items I dont buy at your store.

All I can ask for. Good selection, well sanitized, socially distanced. Masks seem to be mandatory because I havent seen anyone in this store without one.

Crowded as always! Did not see sanitizer in the store for customers coming in. Also did not observe enough sanitization protocols (like cleaning the billing counter after each customer is done, sanitizing the carts etc...).

Good thing is groceries are cheap. But people who come here does not follow proper lining or taking the items in proper way.Management also failed in keeping the floor clean.Looks like some days of the week is too crowded and messy.

Good place to buy Indian groceries! Crowed place of you are visiting over the weekend or evening. I usually tries to avoid crowds by visiting this shop by afternoon time or early morning during weekdays.

If you are in need of Indian spices and food products this is the store for you. They have lots fresh produce and dairy products too. The prices are reasonable. Recently they are offering Indian snack food. There is plenty of parking.

A well stocked store and its a pleasure to shop prior to popular hours, i.e prior to 10AM on weekends. Vegetables section and refrigerated section is a must for other people of all ethnicities. Of course, they must try the other aisles as well to gea feel for the variety of foods available. Checkout clerks are very efficient.Store gets crowded and can occasionally be less fun to shop in. Just find morning hours, they are best.The people loitering outside with snacks and tea in the afternoon in pre-covid days is reflective of the overflow. The store must find a way to better this aspect once regular life resumes.

Efficient and friendly service. I don’t recommend buying the rolling pins as the paint came off and turned out rotis pink (needless to say, we threw them away). But the food items are good and the samosas they serve are delicious.

The best Indian grocery in the tri-valley area. They have great variety of goods. They also offer complimentary tea on weekends. The only downside is it’s super busy all week long but the pros really are so much you look past that. The parking lot is huge but people are always in a rush and so need to super careful.

The staff is super helpful with questions and inquiries. Their grocery options are great and as good as some of the well known Indian grocery chains in the South Bay. In addition, their somosas rock! Plenty of parking even on weekends and the lines move quite fast even during the most busy times. I highly recommend this grocery store for its staff.
