Great service and spot near the theater. However, the beer is slightly more expensive than it’s neighbor UNO and the burger was nothing special.I will skip this and go to UNO for cheaper beers and better tasting and portion of foods you order.

The blackened salmon with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli was awesome! The service could have been better. For starters they could have told me and my friend about the specials such as the 2 for $22 deal.

The service was excellent but the food was decent. My wanton tacos were way too dark, and the chicken was over breaded. Everything else was good.OK gave yall another chance for delivery and yall sent me this burnt steak. I specifically requested medium-rare. This is well done. Who the hell eats a well done steak? Also this is burnt.

I love the fries here! The alcohol drinks have very small amount of alcohol. The service was so quick, I ordered a well done plain burger and quickly received a raw burger with wilted lettuce. The staff moved very swiftly. Too quickly. I didn’t have a chance to tell my server about burger until she came to table about bill. I was credited for the burger. I typically eat at the Applebees in Fresh Meadows but wanted to try this location for breakfast. The place was large and clean but was empty at 11 am. The breakfast entrees were pretty good and served fairly quickly. (My son was disappointed that the chocolate chip pancakes dont include chocolate chips. Instead, it is made with a chocolate batter). The server was also attentive.

I had a good experience at this Applebee’s. The food was good, the staff were nice, and the vibes were dope. Great place to kick back and have some appetizers while you watch a sports game with your friends or live once. Food is cheap, so for what your paying for the food is great. Sunday afternoons is usually not busy here so enjoy the open space. They have all types of seating arrangements. Enjoy the food here 🍔🌮🍗🥗

The food is always good but the service needs a huge improvement.

You know what to expect when you go to Applebees. The food was fine and they have good drink specials. All our drinks were a little too strong (not that that stopped us from drinking them! ) and even sitting at the bar they have partitions set up so you can safely hang out without feeling crowded by other people.

The service was very good. I dined in! The tables are sticky. I requested mine be cleaned again, but still sticky. There was hot pink nail polish on the table. I had the bacon, cheese burger lunch special with French fries and diet coke for $8.99. It was just okay. I like my bacon a little more crispy and the fries werent great. The restaurant and bathroom were clean. The atmosphere was okay if you like sports TV and the music pleasant.

This Applebee’s is trash. The server was completely unattentive. Took our order and then never saw him again. He didnt check if the food came out okay or even refill our drinks. When he gave the check he just threw it down not even a “thank you” or “have a good night”. The food was poor also. No taste or flavor just overall bad. Also the music outside for outdoor seating is obnoxiously loud. This is a family restaurant and should be treated as such not a club or bar. Will never return here again!!

The food here was GREAT I had the spinach chicken Alfredo for $8.99 it was a good amount & filled me up. I also purchased the appetizer combo, the chicken needed a bit more garlic Parmesan sauce & was slightly over cooked but other than that even the ginger ale was delicious. We also had the brownie & triple chocolate cake with ice cream both very good (the cake takes first place). This might be the 1st time I’ve came over to an Applebee’s since my 1st experience at another location because the food wasn’t good there & I’m glad I came. Our server Kenny/Kenneth was attentive & kind. My husband & I are very grateful & will come again.

I will start with a positive, we were greeted by a very friendly, welcoming hostess. We were asked if we would like happy hour or dinner, I asked the hostess is there anything different in the menus. It was explained happy hour includes half off appetizers and $5 dollar drinks but if you would like this you have to sit at a high table... Not sure why but that is odd. The waiter took our order pretty quickly, as he was standing there the air conditioning vent over us dripped water all over the table, he looked up and just walked away without offering another the table or to take the time to wipe up the water from the table. We had to take the napkin and clean it ourselves. I have included a picture of the ceiling below you can see the water stains it seems to be an on going problem of leaking vents. Our ordered consisted of 1. Margarita, a glass of beer from the tap, pretzel sticks with cheese, and grilled salmon with steamed broccoli. Our food and drinks arrived at the table in maybe 5 minutes. I am not a chef but I do know it takes more than 5 minutes to cook a meal, unless it was already made and put in the microwave or not cooked all the way. Well both of those answers are correct. In the pictures below you can see the salmon was not cooked properly and the cheese dip for the pretzels was reheated in a microwave by the burnt crust to the side of the bowl. There was no shortage of flys in the establishment and you can see by the picture it needs an updated paint job. I will not be returning to this Applebees or any again.

I was surprised walking in to see that the restaurant was big. Lots of tables and booths and a good size bar near the entrance. There were several large screens throughout the restaurant with various sports games on. They have tables outside on the street which I can imagine would be nice on a summer day to sit and eat in. Unfortunately, not many staff in the house when I went on a Tuesday night.No hostess at the entrance to greet us—there were two others waiting in front of me when I came in. After ten minutes of waiting, I finally decided to do take out instead of dining in. The hostess finally came by and I placed my order with her then sat for another fifteen minutes waiting for my food. During this time, I saw several other people come in. The hostess was again missing from the front desk. By now there are a lot of people are standing by the door confused as to whether to seat themselves. Several wait staff walk by the front area and completely ignore them. What terrible service! If they don’t have enough staff for the front desk, then shouldn’t all the wait staff keep an eye out on who comes in? I’m so glad I decided to take my food to go.I ordered the salmon and shrimp combo with a side of mash potatoes. The salmon was cooked just right and not overly done. There were only six pieces of breaded shrimp but there were quite large. The mash potatoes were very tasty but did not come with gravy.It’s a shame that the service isn’t up to par. The food wasn’t bad, and the restaurant is conveniently located near the subway. I can just imagine how popular this place could be if the service was better.

Service is terrible! I ordered steak and shrimp. The server didnt even pay attention to what I ordered. She ordered chicken. I had to look for her and tell her what I want. Again she forgot my side dish. Food was put on the table like no one was there. No, thank you, no. Nothing. I came by myself and didnt know why the server acted like this. No more Applebee’s for me:(

The experience wasnt great at all. The restaurant was busy but not overwhelming. The wait time is waht did it for me. Not because of how long we were waiting, but the acknowledgement time. We had multiple ppl walk past us and we just got ignored. I understand retail very well and there are a lot of areas to work on. The lady was nice once she came to attend us but the food wasnt all that either.

I have been here a few times- some with friends, others with family. Always a good experience. Staff is friendly and attentive. I usually like to try a new meal everytime I go, and have not been disappointed. Drinks are tasty and they have good happy-hour prices.

I am truly disappointed, this past Saturday on 4/10/2021. The place was not thoroughly clean. I called 2 weeks in advance for a family gathering and they were giving my family a hard time. My family was very pleasant and respectful towards their staff. I understand the Manager and of the Spanish girls were rude.Im hurt because whenever family and friends come from out of town I take them to this location.The waiter Kenny gets all the praise! He did a marvelous job and he didnt get not one order wrong.===================I had Applebees breakfast for the 1st time. It was really good. I had a Veggie omelette. It was delicious.

AC was barely working, it was hot in there. There were no condiments or drink special menu on the tables as most Applebees have. They had paper menus that didnt even have all the drink choices. Our appetizer came out with our food which defeats the purpose of needing an appetizer. The place is run down. Wouldnt return.

Great environment, the servers are very on top of their game. It gets a little crowded on the usual days (Friday nights and the weekend). Gets especially crowded when a new popular movie releases because of the movie theater across the street. I like the mood in here more than unos which is right across the street. This Applebee’s is a must for me whenever I come to Steinway.

Ordered off Uber eats and they got so many things wrong... wrong sauce, didn’t give us our lemonade, no utensils... so disappointed because usually this Applebee’s doesn’t mess things up. What happened?

NOT OKAY. Why they skimp on everything, I dont know. They literally gave us about half of what we ordered. Do not order from here via seamless. Just walk to the nearest supermarket and pick something out of the frozen section wearing a blindfold. It will be better than this Applebees. Seriously, what are they thinking...

My family and I had visited this location before as well as others, and we have always had good experiences at Applebees. Our most recent exprerience; however, prompted me to write my first ever Applebees review.I was very skeptical about the whole outdoor dining experience in NYC, but I must say the Astoria Applebees has it all down packed. The set up is comfortably set up on a wide sidewalk, which eased my anxiety of dining on the street with cars speeding dangerously closely past us. The young lady who served us, Pat, was AMAZING! She made sure our order was served exactly as requested and she was highly professional and warm. Her service was so excellent, it was hard to believe she wasnt store manager! She made us feel like royalty! For a moment. I forgot I was in NYC and imagined being at a resort overseas. We will definitely be back very soon!

Ive been here in different occasions, sometimes with family sometimes with friends, i would say is a nice spot, specially if you like sports, although i consider they dont have consistency either with the service and their food, but Ill always will keep on coming back

A nice throwback to the suburbs in Astoria! The staff was super friendly, and I was pleasantly surprised by the great late night Happy Hour for 1/2 priced apps and $5 drinks. The food is still very fried and Applebee’s, but this location is fun :)

The staff are nice. We ate outside and it was surprisingly nice. They do have inside dining. The wait is a bir longer. Thier menu has no Turkey burger or sweet potato fries like at other applebees. The coronas are very very cold.

So me and my friend went in there earlier today to get a quick bite to eat. As we entered the resturant, the host was nice it was so far, so good. Sat us to our table in the back, peachy fine. When we were seated, our TABLE was not, I repeat not cleaned. We live in a world of covid and you’re telling me you guys don’t clean your tables after each customer. Here’s the funny part, some worker by the name of Kenneth wants to acknowledge us and when we confront the situation, he says that’s how the tables are but yet it has spills of food, food crumbles and sticky parts on the table? Really bro? We ask to move to a cleaner table, out of all tables in the resturant he puts us across from where we were. Sprayed down a new table, barely cleaned it and water was still left on the table. It was so confusing because me and my friend didn’t know which server was ours. Kenneth or some girl named Alex or Alexander. She takes down our order, and when we give her our drinks which is raspberry teas when we recieved it why is it straight water. No sugar, no taste, no TEA! The whole time we were in there, we were asked how we were doing, and if we did we were acknowledged with an attitude. Me and my friend come in almost every 3 weeks, we always get an attitude from a worker in there and for what? We pay for our foods, we are regular customers who just want to sit back and enjoy the food, enjoy the scenery. This is crazy, either hire new employees or please train your current employees how to be more nicer

Applebees is awesome! I love the new upgrades they have with the tablet for adding orders. Makes it convenient for everyone! The food came out in perfect timing. Not cold nor seething hot. And the server is right on top of you along with all his other tables but not hounding the tables. Just right. The restrooms are pretty clean too.

Havent been to any ABs in a bit. So only take-out now. Service was friendly, order was perfect, food was tasty.

Me and my daughter went after her show for lunch. It was great. Food was great. She loved her corn dog. I the lunch combo, honey chicken and pasta and a clubhouse sandwich. I didnt even get to the sandwich till I got home. The pasta was so good. And my daughter wanted the molten lava cake. I thought it would be like dominos where the outside is kinda crunchy but it was a soft warm cake and the middle was like thick hot fudge. It was so good. Her apple juice and my dollar margarita was no comparison to a tall glass of milk. Our server was also very good, on time, knowledge of the menu, conversation, she was great wish I could remember her name to shout her out. Great experience!

Surprisingly good food, safe physical distancing and exceptional cleaning practices. I enjoyed eating outdoors for the first time in years. The food was great and reasonably priced and I liked that the servers thoroughly sanitized each table between customers.

I ordered bone-in crunch wings with sweet chile sauce on the side u and I received what looked like left overs because the wings were so dry, dark colored, and tasted horrible. The wings were not edible. I have ordered from this location several times and the past two times I have been having the same issue. I am not sure if the cook is new or if they are struggling from the pandemic but it is not right to give customers old food for the amount of money paid. If you order sauced wings, make sure you order the sauce on the side to ensure you are given fresh wings.

Everything was DRY AND BAD. The steak literary had no flavor. The sauce for the Mac n cheese was so bad that i gagged.

The service at the bar is not good at all if you are not drinking. The bartenders just look at you. We are avid sports fans and sit at the bar to watch sports and to attend appetizers for happy hour. We feel we should receive the same service. I used to be a server and I know they are thinking there is no money in nondrinkers. They are wrong because we had one server years ago, Christine, that was attentive and treated us well for the football season, and in turn she got well tipped. My husband ordered the all you can eat chicken tenders and you had to hunt the server down for a refill and even then you only got 3 of them. Not good service at all. Food excellent though!

Their broccoli was good. They really have to give some healthy choices for the people that dont eat all fried and fast food if they want more business .
