Ever since this Explorer club I joined introduced this place to me, I was hooked! As I collect pins as well, I like to buy pins here, especially to give as awards, in the style of the real thing, for instance, how Spankie Valentine deserves a Purple Heart, hence I bought a Purple Heart pin here! And since I am a Captain of my own crüe, I bought a few Captains pins here as well! This was also where I bought a pin Apostle Ruth Andrada Sercado Hillary actually prayed for, of the American and Filipino flags joined together! As she wuz born in the Philippines, and is now an American citizen. They also got 2 know me at this store as well. 😊 Makes me feel like the old TV show Cheers.

Been coming here since I was a kid grew up in Pomona in the 70s and 80s and although EVERYTHING else in this city has changed M&I remains standing strong very nostalgic for me and I still come here a few times a year to purchase things good selection of camping gear survival prep and just some cool stuff

This store boasts a large amount of military garb and alot of work/ tradesmen clothing and fatigues.Pouches, vests, netting, water cans, survival supply, axes, knives, patches, holsters, etc.The biggest gem is the amount of ww2 items they boast as well.Cant say it more than I have, best in thr south California area . I would gladly make the 80 mile trip again when I have more time

A great place for odds n ends. Stock changes often so its a different store every time! Outdoor supply options are endless. Its fun just to browse, but you will find something you cant do without.

M&I Surplus is the first place I looked to to my general needs as far as Surplus materials. Excellent deals at good prices but remember this is a surplus store not JCPenneys.

I have been coming here for many years. The surplus Mark is drying up but m&I seem to have a good connection because they are well stocked with ww2- current surplus. Fishing equipment and clothing

Been coming here since I was alittle kid, great for camping supply or winter gear.

Although they have a Lot of items, they no longer carry the boots my husband had gotten there for years. I know why, but that doesnt help me as I definitely needed those. That is the only reason I only gave them 2 stars. :(

We took our boys here when they were young to get their Army supplies to play with. Hasnt changed a bit, still just as cool as it was 35 years ago. Love this place!

Unusual and broad selection of items, many of which you would not find in most regular stores. Went to buy some gas for a portable stove for a camping trip and found other items we needed / wanted too. Friendly and helpful staff.

Been going there since I was a boy, the employees know me and my family by sight. Always friendly and helpful, got my first pair of Smith and Wesson cuffs there.Their military surplus selection has yielded some rare gems to my collection, for people who do things like wasteland weekend this place is a must see.I always joked with the workers that there is always the biggest rush in the store after an earthquake or similar.This place is where I did a lot of my zombie apocalypse prepping. The current pandemic is anti-climatic at the moment. Still thanks to places like this when it started I didnt really need to leave my apartment for a month unless I wanted to or had some where I really needed to be in person.

I am in my late 40s now, and while growing up in Pomona in the 80s as a young boy playing army, this place was a staple for me and all my friends. I dont live in California anymore, but in all my travels I have yet to find a surplus store that comes close to M&I. I am happy to see they are still there, and I will put this place on the short list to visit when I come back someday. Thanks for the memories!!

They have some pretty cool stuff here but its over priced and a lot of there stuff is cheap knockoffs especially the newer stuff made in China. I picked up a compass that was around $24 and I said to myself why? Because I knew it was overpriced. Found the same one on amazon for under $10.

Price is average. Mostly military gear there.
